While the countdown to Shorzy is still ticking, the professor's been doing some picking. So now here's Tobias, and he's come to play us with a whole list of jams that need kicking. That fresh produce stand there, that's a beauty. What Speaker 1
do you listen to? Speaker 2
My Favorite Murder Podcast. Speaker 0
Jagger and Torrance podcast. The produce stand. Speaker 3
It's Thursday, Thursday, and that means we are once again hanging out at the produce Stand, a podcast paying tribute to everything in that universe. I know what you're thinking. There are many other Letterkenny podcasts out there, but this one is about to kick out the jams again. Shout out to Toronto Mike. I'm Al, your host, and joining me in the room as always is lovely Tanya. Online, we have Squirrely Matt, the very famous Victor. And joining us this week, he is he teaches political science and security studies at Westminster College. That's the site of Winston Churchill's Iron Curtain speech. He's the co editor of the recently released Contextualizing Security, a Reader. He's a martial art artist, with teaching certificates in multiple disciplines, including Burton Richardson's MMA for The Street. He thinks Letterkenny may be the perfect show, and he's a good guy. He's a really good guy. Please join me making some noise for Tobias. Where's my button? What? Speaker 1
Oh my god. Oh my Speaker 4
I regret nothing. Speaker 3
Welcome back to the produce stand, Tobias. Speaker 4
It's good to be here. Thank you so much. Speaker 3
That's a long intro for you. Go ahead. Speaker 1
What can you not do tonight? That's the question. Speaker 4
Yeah. I mean, I I'm not a mechanic of any sort. Speaker 3
So You can kick your ass, like, a hundred different ways while teaching you political science. So I think, that's, Speaker 1
that's impressive. That it would be necessary, especially if you're teaching, the high school generation as I'm No. Speaker 4
I yeah. I I don't teach high school. I did coach high school football, but that was okay because I can make them run hills or do push ups or something. Speaker 3
So be before we move on, I wanna say good goodbye, so long, and farewell to that intro because that's the last time we'll be doing that. Starting next week, we're going to start our Shorzy coverage. So this podcast is gonna have a bit of a different sound, and different, you know Are Speaker 1
we getting a different name? Speaker 3
Nope. Still gonna be the produce stand. Speaker 1
I don't like good buys. Speaker 2
No. Yeah. Just Are we just gonna play tit fucker the whole time? Speaker 3
Yeah. Well, you know, maybe. We'll see. You'll you'll you'll have to wait until next week to see what what we do here. But, anyway, let's, let's get going with this. Speaker 0
How are you now? Speaker 3
Tonight's line up is myself, Matt, Victor, Tanya, and Tobias. Our guest will have the last word. Oh, and by the way, the the live stream is actually jumping today. We have Zach. We have Gord, Trace, Robbie, Paddle, one of the newer additions to to Discord. Michelle's on there. Jeff's on there. Chad, Cassie, awesome. So it's a it's a lot of a lot of faces on the livestream tonight. So, hopefully, we'll have a lively conversation and and, and interaction throughout this episode. So I'm I'm tongue tied now. So my week, I've had a very, very busy week. Starting off with this past weekend, the band got back together again, the Royal Pains. We had our reunion show Saturday. It was a lot of fun. It was great to be with on stage with those guys again. It was a great party. The, I wrote about it on my blog. If you haven't read about it, go check it out. I share pictures and videos and stuff. It was a great time, and, we got a lot of, like, really nice feedback. So, yeah, that was nice to do that. And Tanya came out to Nin's the first show you've been out to in in quite a while. Speaker 1
Newmarket, I think, was the last one. Speaker 3
Yeah. But, anyway, it was a lot of fun up in Barrie, poolside. There while we were playing at one point, I think the neighbors were were curious as to what was going on because they sent over a drone. And and and as I was Speaker 3
Yeah. We were playing a song, and I and I and everyone started looking up, and I stepped out from under because we were kind of in the sheltered, like, covered peak. Yeah. And I didn't know what everyone's looking at. So I step out, and I see this drone, like, hovering above us and taking videos. So I wouldn't It would be mildly creepy. Yeah. I'd love to see that footage, though. I think that'd be kind of a cool video to see. Speaker 1
It's a wee bit invasive. Speaker 3
Yeah. Maybe. Come on. That it's that kind of neighborhood. I think all the neighbors were just curious as to what all the the fuss was about. Anyway, so that was Saturday. This coming Saturday, with my current band, with the weekends, we are playing our our annual Christmas in June show, which, which, is always a fun time. It's the one where we play out on a marina with all like, all the boaters are, like, facing we're on a floating barge and all the anyway, it's a lot of fun. It's gonna be roasty hot. Like, it's gonna be toasty. I'm gonna have to, like, have, like, SPF three hundred on and, and drink a lot of water for that show. But, it should be fun. And, last night, it was so much fun. Victor and I met up with with Nick, our buddy from, Vegas. He came into town. Nick works for Cirque du Soleil, and, he was in town well, he says it was for vacation, but he's also meeting up, like, or visiting the crew at the Toronto show. I think it's called Echo, the Cirque du Soleil show in Toronto. And, yeah. So last night, we we met up with Nick in Kensington Market, which I gotta tell you, like, it's back to its like, it's it's really cool again. Like, Kensington Market used Speaker 0
to be it it's still Speaker 3
a very eclectic part of of downtown Toronto. Like, Toronto itself is a very busy and metropolis city and stuff. Very you know, many places, actually, you could probably even say it's very corporate. But, Kensington Market is still very artsy and eclectic and and lots of interesting stuff going on there. So we met up with, Nick, and we, walked up and down Kensington Market. We found this great taco place and had amazing Mexican food. Masitas. Was that what it was called? Speaker 3
And, and then we had some churros, and then we went over to to, Amadeus to support a cheese restaurant, had some drinks to to finish off the night. It was awesome. And it's great to see Kensington Market being like a thriving place again because there are a few years there where it was kinda boarded up, and it was a little, you know, dilapidated and and sad. So seeing it bounce back like that is is pretty fun. Matt, how have you been? Speaker 0
I've been. It's been it's been busy. Speaker 0
do we start? I set up the our little pool in the backyard this week, so that was fun. We just got one of those little ten foot round above ground guys. They're, like, thirty inches deep, but it's enough to get wet. Speaker 1
Should put it on the deck? Speaker 0
No. No. No. No. No. No. Just on the lawn. But I went in it, like I got I got yelled at I actually got called five years old because I set it up, and then Jen was doing something. And then next thing, she turned around. I I literally just finished, and I was in the pool. She's like, what are you doing? I'm like, well, pool's ready. She's like, I need fucking five? Like, I can't wait. We have things to do. I'm like, well, I'm in the pool. So I was just Speaker 1
It must have been freezing. Speaker 0
It was amazing. Well, good. Yeah. It was. I it was cold, but Speaker 3
I didn't care. So Speaker 0
Fucking so hot, so I didn't care. Yeah. Exactly. I was excited about that. On the weekend, my, my son had this fun fair at our school. So we went there, and I ran into our buddy, Alex McCooey. Had a nice little chat with him. I hadn't talked in a while, which is obviously Jim Dickens. What I what I'll laugh with that, so I ran into he he recognized me right away. We hadn't chatted much throughout the year. Our kids are in different grades, so we don't cross paths very often. But, he was he was definitely aware that we had gone up to Sudbury and asked us about that trip, whether he saw some of the social posts or whatever. I, you know, I just asked him how he was doing. He did say, didn't say anything one way or the other, but he just says he was taking a bit of a break from acting just to spend some time with the family. Speaker 0
he'll find his footing and and pick up something soon, but he just seemed excited to spend some time with the kids. And then I made a joke because when I first saw him, he was he was on microphone at the event, doing some announcements. And then Speaker 3
Playing the MC as usual. Speaker 0
He was playing the MC. Right? And then he's there was cars that were blocking a fire exit till he was reading off, like, license plate numbers. And in my head, I'm like, he's gonna start auctioning these things off. And I told Speaker 0
I said, dude, I was so hoping you would. So I think he gave me a subtle nod the next time he went up because we had talked and joked a bit about Letterkenny. Mhmm. And he was at the mic again announcing a dancing competition, and he's like, come on up here, and get there get your dance on or something call a booger. And, he said it just like Jim Dickens. And I'm like, I see what you did there. So that was a that was Speaker 3
Do any of the other parents know who he is, or do they just treat him as a like another dad? Speaker 0
Don't know. We're not very close. We're like the outcast of the of the parent group. They're a real clicky group Yes. Speaker 3
Yes. Of this school, Speaker 0
and we We can. And we haven't we haven't connected. I don't know. Maybe it's us or maybe it's I don't know. Anyways, so I don't know. I'm sure someone know. Either way, that was fun. And the last thing, again, on the school train today, my my little guy had his kindergarten grad, which was super Speaker 2
weird. What? Train You Speaker 3
said Train of thought. Train of thought Go on. Oh, okay. Speaker 0
all the time. Victor Speaker 1
thought there was a train at school. Speaker 0
That triggered you. I'm sorry, Victor. Speaker 2
I thought you're there's a school train. Speaker 0
Uh-huh. No. No. No train. Train of thought. Thank you. Thank you all for correcting because I lost they went past me so fast. Speaker 3
It jumped on it right away, so I knew exactly what yeah. Speaker 0
Yeah. So my my little guy had his kindergarten grad, which is super cute. And then, actually, we just got back about a half hour before the show started from my oldest who's graduated grade eight. So they did a full ceremony there and had him walk across the state. Speaker 3
Graduation ceremonies happen for all those levels now? Like, I mean Speaker 0
So I always had one middle school. I definitely remember middle school grads. Speaker 1
Kindergarten. Eight. Kindergarten. That's grade eight. Speaker 3
No. I never had kindergarten graduation. Speaker 0
No. Kindergarten. Speaker 2
call grad for you. Speaker 0
Yeah. They called it a kindergarten celebration. Speaker 2
Yeah. My son had it too. It's stupid. Speaker 0
Anyways, it was cute. Speaker 3
We had a I had a grade eight formal, but there wasn't, like I don't remember there being a graduation ceremony. Anyway Yeah. But alright. Speaker 0
Yeah. It was it was cute. And then, really quick thing I imagine, my my middle guy were he's turning, eleven this or next week, but we're we're trying to get him. He doesn't know what's happening, but we're taking him to the Arkells concert tomorrow night. Speaker 3
Nice. Is he a friend? Speaker 0
He he yeah. A little bit, but he's never been to a concert, and the ones he does wanna go to are way outside his age limit. Speaker 3
Oh, RKL RKL's is perfect. Yeah. Speaker 0
Oh, so perfect. But the weather's supposed to be shit. So Speaker 3
Oh, is that at buzz Budweiser stage? Speaker 0
Yeah. Wait. When's the show? Tomorrow night. So Speaker 3
Friday night. Okay. Good. Speaker 0
Yeah. There's a there's a double header. There's a Friday and a Saturday show. And anyone there's I mean, I don't know how big they are in the States. Our Kells are amazing. Speaker 3
They're great. They're more great. Yeah. Canadian. Speaker 0
Yeah. Fantastic Canadian, Ben. Super positive, Ben. I love the energy those guys give off. They're just hyper inclusive, just fun, good energy, and they're all all the Yeah. Speaker 2
We had had him at one of our town halls Really? Few weeks ago. Yeah. Speaker 0
Well, aren't you guys fancy? Speaker 2
Yeah. Yeah. They always do that kind of stuff. We had Marc Messier. We had, yeah, we have, like, all kinds Speaker 0
of crazy stuff. Game dropping. Speaker 3
Yeah. Really. We had pin we Speaker 0
had pinball Clemens. Speaker 3
Yeah. We did. But it was remote. We didn't even have it in person. Yeah. Because it was during the pandemic anyway. Speaker 0
Gotta ruin it. Anyways, I talked a lot. Speaker 3
I got to introduce Pinball Clement, so that was kind of fun. Speaker 0
That's true. I remember that. Speaker 3
It was great. Victor, how have you been? Speaker 2
Pretty good. Let's see. Let's start with Tobias. So when I was young, and we had those you know, that magazine that you'd order books from, Scholastic? Yeah. Speaker 1
I was gonna guess. Speaker 2
I was an avid reader of Heathcliff, and, if you can call that reading. But I had every book, and I still have it in my collection today. Speaker 2
And Westminster was the, best in, cat show award that, he would always either win or steal. So there's the connection there. I'm not sure if that's, how the, you know, university got its name. But Speaker 4
No. It has nothing to do with it. But thank Speaker 2
let's see. What else? I was trying to find, Gus and Brew, beverage. Mhmm. As to to, gift Al on behalf of myself and Matt, and then was informed by Matt that it's not an actual Speaker 4
new beverage that you could purchase. Speaker 3
Not in Canada. Well, it is. Not in Canada. Yeah. By the way, guys, thank you for the the the the Lickbo gift. I appreciate it. Speaker 1
I'm sorry. You're licking what? Speaker 3
Yeah. I got a a gift card from for my birthday from Speaker 0
He's got an elbow fetish. Speaker 2
And and and then on the weekend, I was in in Tanya's favorite place, apparently, which is Prince Edward Speaker 1
right. Yum. Yum. Right. Speaker 2
Where they have a winery on every corner. Speaker 2
And everyone's driving drunk, clearly. Speaker 1
They're they're riding their bicycles at the side of a country road drunk. Speaker 2
Yes. That's right. That's right. It was it was, really, really nice. Very, very nice place. Probably will go back. Couldn't recommend it more to those that are in the area. It's like one of those things where, you know, if you've never been and you live in Ontario, shame on you for not not Oh, god. Going. Speaker 3
Well, you didn't even go to the beach. The beach there is amazing. Speaker 2
Didn't you? Oh, no. No. We didn't go Speaker 3
to the beach. Oh, did you? Speaker 2
No. Yeah. Yeah. No. Well, we went to the beach in Wellington Mhmm. Which is a small little town Speaker 2
Because we didn't have that much time. We were going there for an event. Right? Yeah. But we did spend some time at the beach, took some pictures. We didn't go in the water. It was too cold. But, yeah, it was nice. It was nice. Couldn't and then, last night, yesterday, I was at a conference downtown, and then Al calls me up or texts me and says, hey. Do you wanna meet me and Nick downtown? And and, I said, well, might say no. So we went and, yeah, had a great time. Speaker 3
Yeah. Nick was, was fun, and and we had a lot of heated and were lively conversations about all sorts of things, politics, Rita McNeil, just How does Speaker 0
that just layer into a conversation? Speaker 3
Yeah. Ask Victor. He had to be there. But anyway Speaker 3
It was interesting interesting time for sure. Tobias, how have you or sorry, Tanya. First, you. How have you been? Speaker 1
Hi. Sorry to to steal your, thunder there, Tobias. I think Alan was trying to put you in the next thing. So it was a busy week. We, had an interview with, Camille.
Speaker 3
Jesus. I completely forgot.
Speaker 1
Yeah. Laura Moore. Camille was so true. Fantastic. Oh my gosh. Just, just the most down to earth, amazing, nice, happy, friendliest person you could possibly imagine. So it was it was lovely, to to meet her and, to have a chat.
Speaker 0
I'm pretty sure Victor broke her at one point too.
Speaker 1
Victor tries to that's Victor's rules, try to break everyone. Yeah. So that was a lot of fun. That was this week. So school is, our son is in exams, and I've taken it upon myself to try to help him, study, which has resulted in me doing a whole lot of chat GPT to try to educate myself on
Speaker 3
You know a lot more about physics than I do now.
Speaker 1
That's for sure. Good lord. Like, physics, grade eleven fit I never took physics when I was in school, so I there's no I don't have comprehension. I'm not entirely sure when he's going to have to use, like, how what the distance is of an echo coming back to him, when the temperature of the air is
Speaker 2
Civil engineering.
Speaker 1
I'm just like, what when when will you use this? When will you need to know with the temperature? So, anyways, he's using it in, common, day to day now. When we were going for a bike ride, he was trying to give me the physics analysis of if we yelled right now, what the I'm like, really, dude? I I don't care about any of this. But, anyways, that's what I'm doing these days is, I'm
Speaker 3
Do you hear our son's study buddy?
Speaker 1
I'm I'm the study buddy. And I've I feel like I can put it on my resume now that I am a tutor for anything, really, because, ChatGPT, I I owe you one. ChatGPT four point o, is what I was using, and it was really giving me a lot of great information. It was wrong, though, a few times. Gotta say, there were some errors. So don't, like, hold true to that stuff. Got people out there.
Speaker 3
Today, you guys were studying up on world religions, which was interesting.
Speaker 1
World religion. Yeah. No. Much more about religion. I I'm actually not minding, the the tutoring because I feel like I'm getting more knowledgeable as I'm trying to help him, which is always a good thing is, never stop learning. So it's been, it's been interesting, and I can't wait for it to end.
Speaker 3
What about your foot? You got news up
Speaker 1
on your foot. I did. I did. Oh, actually, I should share that because, Jeff was around. So good news, bad news. So it's not in my head. I actually have an actual problem.
Speaker 3
Gaslighting her this entire time.
Speaker 1
Yeah. It wasn't wasn't wasn't sure anymore because, I wasn't able to walk very well. So, anyways, results have come back that I have a thick, partial tear, with some sort of measurement, and then I have three additional tears. So I have four tears, in my plantar fascia, which is the I wanna call it a tendon fascia. It's a it's a it's the part that goes underneath your foot. Well, plug it in. And, is is part of the whole arch and heel and toe. It, like, gets a whole thing.
Speaker 1
So, anyways, I have a specialist appointment next month and get to find out what fun new adventures, are in store for me on how to fix this. So all I know right now is that I'm not supposed to be on it, which is really difficult to not not to do. So, yeah, trying to find other interesting ways to get out and have a like, biking, which I'm trying to do, just low intensity.
Speaker 1
So we'll see what happens from here. But yeah.
Speaker 1
Not been fun. Yeah.
Speaker 3
At least you have an answer now.
Speaker 1
I do have an answer.
Speaker 1
I have an answer. That means I have a solution coming. Yes. So that's good.
Speaker 3
Tobias, how have you been, bud?
Speaker 4
I've been really good. First of all, I I I wanna say to Victor, I'm a little surprised to learn that that, Tanya's favorite place is not Dallas, and then it's called the big d.
Speaker 4
And, Tanya, I wanna know that I I want you to know that as a college professor, I'm a little stunned, little offended to hear you call, listening to to chat GPT studying, but that's okay.
Speaker 1
I yeah. I'm sorry. I I it's it's my cheat code because I do not know anything. A little bit of something, it was better than Yeah.
Speaker 4
Oh, no. No. I I mean, I'm I'm I'm kinda joking, but you know what I mean.
Speaker 2
So Really, what Tanya is doing is she's teaching it. There you go. Yeah.
Speaker 1
That's how it's for Yeah.
Speaker 4
Really? Yeah. Things are really good. It's the summer, and, I mean, it's hot here, but I I'm, I get to start teaching, Cali, soon. Like, next next Monday, I'll be teaching, regularly at a at a place, nearby, which is exciting. I'm three weeks into a graduate class that I'm teaching, from Missouri State. I don't know. I mean, I'm I'm almost done with Ted Lasso Oh. Which I had I mean, I had heard of, but I had not I had not, you know, jumped into. And
Speaker 3
And how how are you enjoying that?
Speaker 4
You know, I I I keep saying that it's almost as good as the letter, Kenny. So it's nearly perfect. Yes. Alright.
Speaker 3
Well, that's good. That that's fine. I mean, that's high praise.
Speaker 4
Yeah. Yeah. Roy Kent is my favorite character.
Speaker 3
Right. Yeah. I think he's a lot of
Speaker 1
famous people. Roy.
Speaker 1
I can watch that all over again.
Speaker 3
Do you have any update on on that that book that you were, putting together?
Speaker 4
I do not yet. I mean, I I can
Speaker 3
Do you wanna talk about it? If you don't wanna talk, we don't have to. But No.
Speaker 4
I mean, not not right now. Give give me I I hope hopefully, the next time I'm on, I can give you a better a better update. Alright. And I'm I'm happy to, you know, either in the Discord or or, I don't know how late I'll be up tonight, but, I mean, either either a future after party or a Discord and, hopefully, almost certainly almost certainly, by the next time I'm on. All good. Be in Perfect.
Speaker 3
Alright. Sounds good. Alright, bud. Well, let's get this rig rolling here.
Speaker 0
Previously on Letterkenny.
Speaker 3
Last week, we had one of our potpourri episodes where we discussed a number of different topics, plus we were the first to announce the Shorzy Classic hockey games. And, boy, did they start selling like hotcakes. Well, I've got a bit of an update on that, coming up in a second. This week, our buddy Tobias, joins us to kick out his favorite Letterkenny jams. Shout out to Ronald and Mike. So let's get this thing going.
Speaker 0
Well, don't bore us. Get to the chorus. It makes
Speaker 1
me uncomfortable. Don't
Speaker 3
don't be uncomfortable. It's
Speaker 0
Never stop. Never stop.
Speaker 3
Yeah. Cassie on on last stream says, yeah, the new TM, the new trademark is Toronto Mike. It's like, make sure you trademark that. Yeah. I'll just mention Toronto Mike at the end of each every time I say kick out the jams.
Speaker 1
He's just gonna storm in here again and and make things all, like
Speaker 2
That only means he's listening.
Speaker 3
Yeah. Exactly. But he doesn't. He doesn't listen because he's not a Letterkenny fan or a Shorzey fan. Inexploit fan. Yeah. Or an Al fan. So before we we get going then, just about about the Shorzy Classic, I, asked, Kara for an update earlier today. The VIP in Boston is sold out.
Speaker 3
Sold out in Boston of VIP. I think there's still tickets available for the game amazing. But no more VIP. And I think Toronto is, like, going fast too. So,
Speaker 3
Yeah. Oh, yeah. It's great. I'm I'm happy that this is working out because it could mean that they'll add other cities. And because it I think this is kinda like a trial, like they did with Letterkenny Live. You know, maybe they'll they'll do other cities in the US and in Canada, and how fun would that be. Right? So, great news there, and it's great to see that people are are are are excited about it. I know that in our Discord, we have a ton of people who are, who bought tickets for for either city. At least one of them bought tickets for both, and and he's gonna fly between cities be between games. So that's amazing. And we're gonna see some of our degen friends up here in Toronto, on that weekend. So it's gonna be a lot of fun. So I can't wait for that. But we're here today to kick out the jams. Now, Tobias, before we, you know, get your top ten Letterkenny, songs, why don't you kinda, like, tell us about your your musical taste, your interest. Like, what kind of music are you into?
Speaker 4
I I tend to listen to, old school hip hop. Mhmm. As you guys know, Wu Tang is probably my my favorite. And then I also listen to a lot of, Victor's favorite grunge. You know, so, but, yeah, I mean, you know, that that kind of stuff. So I'm I I don't think that there will be there there may be a few surprises, in in in the top ten, but I don't think anybody's gonna be stunned that I that I made this list.
Speaker 3
Yeah. And so I'm hoping that as we play these, you're gonna, tell us a little bit about the artist or at least where the songs were in the show and stuff like that.
Speaker 4
Absolutely. And if if you want, I can even give you a little bit of, you know, I mean, some some foreshadowing or something.
Speaker 3
No. No. Let's let's play them, and then you can talk about them as we go. Sound good?
Speaker 4
Yeah. That's that's fine too.
Speaker 3
Alright. So I'm gonna start with, your number ten pick. Here we go. Alright. This is Talking Distance by Sunbeam Sound Machine. Talk about this one, Tobias. Okay.
Speaker 4
So this is season ten episode two dealership.
Speaker 4
And this this this comes at the at the end. This is, it begins as Rosie receives a text that Wayne has done at the dealership. As that is to say, you know, helping Marie Fred get her, her deal on the truck. Mhmm. And it continues as as she gets into her new truck, but gets a handshake from Wayne.
Speaker 4
kind of lean leans out the the window looking longingly back at him as he walks away. And then Wayne pulls up, you know, and Rosie, rather than dancing, wants to go home and and climbs in very closely. And then then, it ends the the episode.
Speaker 3
Yeah. We've gotten a lot of people in the livestream saying they love this pick, YWZ Gord. Great pick. Love this track, JB.
Speaker 0
What was the name of it again?
Speaker 3
This one's called Talking Distance by Sunbeam Sound Machine. Do you know anything about this band, Tobias?
Speaker 4
I I know nothing about almost any of these bands except that I like the song. So and and I I do I do wanna stress that. So Mhmm. If if if if I may. So, I think it was JB who did his the the first of these. Right?
Speaker 4
remember that correctly? Okay.
Speaker 4
I thought. So I I think he and I had similar, but not quite the same, you know, sort of processes. Mhmm. However many songs there are in the Leonard County soundtracks. I I literally just went through and and put all of the ones that I had previously liked into my queue, and cut them down four times to get to about fourteen or fifteen.
Speaker 4
And then I yeah. And then I and then I watched, like, the videos and and and and then and then decided on the songs proper for the top ten. And then I watched the scenes to put them in the in the the proper order. Yeah. But, otherwise I mean, no. I I I did not do and I I don't know when this this song came out. I don't know, you know, I mean, you know, that that kind of stuff. Sure.
Speaker 3
Well, I've got it here. It came out in twenty nineteen.
Speaker 3
It's from their album, Goodness Gracious, and they're a band from Australia, I believe. Let's see here. Somewhere it says Australia yeah. An Australian multi instrumentalist musician. Oh, it's one guy, Nick Sowersby, known professionally as Sunbeam Sound Machine. So yeah. I mean, it's amazing where where, you know, Jared gets his music from. Right? Like, he's not discerning. He gets it from wherever he gets it. And,
Speaker 4
Yeah. One of the things also about this list, I think, is that, so the last time I think that I did I I believe the last time I did this was the McMurray, the the the top ten McMurray.
Speaker 4
You know, and I as as you guys might recall, I had sort of a theme. I didn't I didn't know that I had a theme. Mhmm. You know, I'm not sure that this is Chad life, but,
Speaker 3
you know, the same thing.
Speaker 3
have a love story again?
Speaker 4
Yeah. Yeah. But, I mean,
Speaker 0
what what just called that in.
Speaker 4
But Letterkenny is a show about relationships.
Speaker 4
Right? And and I and I I don't just mean romantic relationships, which this song is. But, you know, but it's about brother and sister and friendships. And, you know, I mean, Riley and Jonesy have an especially, tight relationship, for example. Yes. You you know what I'm saying? And so, the reality is, I think, that that, most of these songs at least have something to do with relationships in in in some capacity.
Speaker 4
And then the other thing, just really quickly. Sorry. Six six of these ten six of the ten songs close the close the episode
Speaker 4
Which is to say that, you know, Jared really does pay attention not just to the songs, but also how he ends a story.
Speaker 4
You know what I mean? Which I think matters a lot.
Speaker 3
Yeah. I think he picks the bangers to to end his episodes on too. Right? Like, but I loved when when we were interviewing him him talking about his process of picking music. And it's like, you know, he when he find when he, like, finds a song that becomes his new favorite song, and he can't wait to use it in some kind of you know, in a story, right, in in a in an episode. So
Speaker 4
Yeah. He'll listen to it forty times in a row or whatever. I
Speaker 4
and stuff like that. Yeah. That was really cool.
Speaker 3
Yeah. It was interesting. I like this pick. It's got a kind of a melancholic, sound to it, you know. And, it's not that typical surf rock that Jared seems to really like, but, it's close. It's it's, you know, it's kind of like a a ballad version of that. What what do you think of this pick, Matt?
Speaker 0
I I like it. Mhmm.
Speaker 0
I don't have much more to say. I like it. I have already added it to my Spotify. I've got it open so I can add soon. As also reminded, it's been a long day, so this is the perfect kinda episode for me tonight.
Speaker 3
Mhmm. Sit back with my
Speaker 0
sit back with my friends and listen to some tunes. So Listen
Speaker 0
I can't wait to see where this goes next.
Speaker 3
Perfect. Victor, would do you like this one?
Speaker 2
It well, it's not hip hop, and it's not grunge. So, yeah, it's great.
Speaker 1
Check off the two boxes.
Speaker 2
If if it was country, I'd love it, Just a Spite Owl. Mhmm. But, I think winter. Nice. But, no, I I it's a it's a it's obviously a banger. Right? It's it's it's a great tune. It it gives me vibes of, I don't know, not ever long, but, you know, that kind of that kind of vibe. Mhmm. And what's that what's that band, mouse mouse mouse?
Speaker 2
Yes. Modest mouse. I get, like, a modest mouse kinda feel to it as well. Interesting. But I I I really like it. Great tune.
Speaker 3
Well, great great way to start us off, Tobias. Let's, let's see what you have here for number nine. Speaking of Riley and Jonesy, I think. Alright. Wolfpack by Pigeonhole. Talk about this one.
Speaker 4
This closes, season one episode one. Ain't no reason to get excited. This is this is the next scene right after Wayne has welcomed us and Troy to butter, Kenny.
Speaker 4
So the next basically, the next day, at the farmhouse, Riley and Jonesy drop off Katie, who who tells Wayne that it's good to have him back. You know, it's good to have you back, big brother. Mhmm. At this point, Riley and Jonesy are very different deferential, which is important because, you know, I mean, one of my one of my favorite things to do if I'm if I have four minutes and forty or so seconds, I'll just watch the first cold open on repeat if I could.
Speaker 4
And they are definitely not deferential. Right? So by the end of the episode, they are very they they they're deferential, Dwayne. You know, they as they're leaving, I think it's, Jonesy who says have a good one, bro. And then as they back out, this song is playing. And then, again, the the the episode ends, with the and the and credits, with this song. And quite frankly, I think at least some of the the lyrics sort of introduced not only the next episode, which is Super Soft Birthday, but, you know, you start getting the the, Wayne's role as toughest guy in Letterkenny. Yes. Not not just not just for that show, but, you know, I mean, quite frankly, it just sort of, continues for the duration of of the the the entirety of the show.
Speaker 4
So some of the the lyrics on this one I do not do this for every song. Nope. Some of some of the lyrics on this, now I now I raised a fucking ruckus like like the zoo broke loose. Was raised where the wild things are.
Speaker 4
On an island with icing, I've been raw, and no man is safe from the base drum.
Speaker 4
So I I think that I mean, kinda, again, getting back to the the the writing prod Jared's writing process. Right?
Speaker 4
You know, I I think he very clearly ends this episode with with a vision moving forward for the show.
Speaker 3
Yeah. The beast has been unleashed and, yeah. Very cool. This one here is from twenty thirteen. It's eleven years old from the album Chimp Blood by Pigeonhole. They're still around. They're a Vancouver Canadian hip hop band, previously known as Creative Minds. It's a duo consisting of Colin, Dusty, Mello, McHugh and Lee, Marmalade, Napseen or yeah. Anyway, so I'm wondering if, these are guys maybe Jared knew when he was out there, you know, working, you know, attending bar and stuff when where he met Risky and stuff like that. I wonder if they're all from, you know, they're they're all buds from, Vancouver or it's just that's where he heard them first. But, yeah, this this one here definitely has early Letterkenny vibes for sure. Victor, what do you think of this one? It's a hip hop track. Are you okay with this?
Speaker 2
Yeah. I'm I'm okay with all genres, especially when you're trying to find the right song for this, you know, for a soundtrack. Clearly, that was the right song for the scene. Mhmm. It made a lot of sense. It was the right vibe. I probably won't be adding it to my playlist, and I and and I may put, the sound machine in front of it. But, but, no, the song was perfect for the scene. K.
Speaker 1
I I really start wondering, like, what came first, the song or the story?
Speaker 1
And and it's almost like, okay. Is the whole thing a musical? Like, did
Speaker 1
did he hear the music and then came up with the story that inspired the that that goes along with this with the the the words of the song. Right? I remember doing that when I was a kid. I I would come up with full out musicals to to different, mixed tracks. It's it's fantastic. I love the the tune. I love the the first tune too. Like, I would have really relaxed to that and just, it's something that you can really, unwind to for sure. Good picks.
Speaker 2
Yeah. Well, you know, is is just quick. You know what's interesting? Like, a lot of directors, will play the soundtrack during the filming of certain scenes, certainly in films, to set the mood, to set the vibe. Right? So that because it it it informs kind of the the mood that you're supposed to get from the scene. I don't think that they do that on on the set with Shorzy and Letterkenny. I could be wrong. At least, you know, we just certainly didn't see that when we were there, but, we only got to see a snippet of it. But that's that's, you know so that's the two are kind of intertwined.
Speaker 3
Mhmm. Yeah. Wolfpack. Yeah. Awesome. Loves this pick. Paddle says it's a certified certifiable beaut. And, Cassie's saying this episode is really making her wanna do one of these music apps because she loves talking about music. Yes, Cassie. Start working on your top ten. You're more than welcome to. The only rule I think we came up with was you can't like, two of yours you you're only allowed two songs to overlap songs that have been, kicked out before. So it's gonna get more
Speaker 2
one extreme song.
Speaker 3
And there's no extreme song. Amazing. Matt, what what do you think of this, track?
Speaker 0
It's a it's a banger. So I remember so when Victor and I went out to breakfast a few weeks ago, we talked about this a bit where, like, I love music. I love it so much. My weird, crutch, though, is I'm terrible at lyrics. I'm terror like, I I can't remember. I'm I'm I'm bad with names, and I'm I'm bad with lyrics. So I'm often drawn to how how a song makes me feel and and and the overall just how it comes together. So this one, that beat out of the gate had me. I'm like, did it was strong. It was intense. Made me feel some kind of way. I you had me right there. So I I to me, it's a banger because I just like how it made me feel. I can't follow what he's saying all the time. Like I said, I'm terrible at that shit. Mhmm. But I like I like how it sounds. Does that make sense?
Speaker 3
Robbie's trying to start a fight in the livestream saying extreme only have one song, so no risk there of being kicked out too many times. Robbie, you're going to get a Victor hug when you came up now. I don't know. I don't know. Now you might just get a knee to the balls. Alright. Let's, let's we're off to number eight now. Here we go.
Speaker 0
I don't know what you've been told. I don't know
Speaker 3
Alright. This is Walk Tall by Kelly or Kelly. Talk about this one, Tobias.
Speaker 4
Season seven episode six, in it to win it. This is the, Motor County Irish front friendly with the Cherry County Eagles, after, Candace has put them back together.
Speaker 4
This is this is after they've learned that their former Irish teammates have switched teams, you know, and that they all have need of blood somehow. Right? This song plays, in terms of the the story for for the game, it plays after Susan at BlueCard's OCM. I'm just backtracking. Man.
Speaker 3
But Talk about whiplash.
Speaker 4
Yeah. Yeah. So this this is this is when, you know, Tannis is is beginning. Not only has she started the team, but she's doing mic'd out. Like, she's, you know, so, you know, before the game, there's a lot of, and especially Shorzy, but but Riley and Johnsy chirps, with the other team. During during the the game, I mean, there are, you know, multiple near fights at least and, you know, Shorzy and even, you know, Tyson is getting involved in terms of the, the chirps. But then I I really liked, the the lyrics again in terms of the scene. Right?
Speaker 4
Rule number one, burn burn bright like the sun. Work the room. Work the floor like it's just begun. Be the only thing they see. You know, so, again, with with with Tannis doing the the mic'd out, and then rule number three is forget where you've been. And, again, you know, they they they have half of the half of the the County Eagles they used to play with. Right? And so, you know, they're they're they're dealing with BoomTown and etcetera. And so I I I think that there's a sort of very interesting again, the the the story is built into the song or maybe the song is built into the story, which I really liked. Yeah. And, also, I really like the song. So
Speaker 3
So this song is from twenty ten, off of Kelly O'Karek's, The Boxer album, which it looks like it was first album. He is an English singer songwriter, best known as a lead singer and rhythm guitarist for the indie rock band Block Party. Oh, didn't know that. So that's interesting. And he's released six studio albums. This again, this is his first solo album. So, very cool. Tanya, what do you think of this, pick?
Speaker 1
Yeah. It's a unique sound to it. One that I don't think I've heard before, that that I don't even know what it was, like a synth synthesizer in the
Speaker 3
the background. Probably a synth. Yeah.
Speaker 1
Yeah. It's a it's really got a a cool sound to it. Definitely something I I would be interested in hearing more of.
Speaker 3
Mhmm. Matt, what'd you think?
Speaker 0
Yeah. I dig it. I was trying to I was trying to identify some of those sounds out of the gate. I couldn't, but I loved it. It also, weirdly, it feels like something I'd hear in, like, a really badass camp movie.
Speaker 0
Like, I don't know. Like like, some really badass scene, like, some kids or something are protecting a camp from a terrorist attack, and this is while they're prepping the camp, and this is what's going on.
Speaker 4
Are you I'm sorry. Matt, have you ever seen toy soldiers?
Speaker 0
Yeah. Yes. This is
Speaker 3
my man. That's funny.
Speaker 0
Hundred percent.
Speaker 3
Well, it's got that cadence. I mean, it's it's got that cadence of the marching,
Speaker 2
Well, it's not cadence. It's they took it. They it's they they took it. They sampled it.
Speaker 0
Yeah. Like, I I picture a montage of prep work for disaster, and I love it. So Yeah. Yeah. That's where that's where my head went during that one.
Speaker 0
Thought I'd share that.
Speaker 3
Victor, what'd you think of that?
Speaker 2
Yeah. I mean, you know, it starts out like a, like, like, a non funny parody, right, of of exactly that kind of marching band. It's it's kinda monotone, but it's totally a montage kinda thing that you it's it's it's it's totally made for a soundtrack. I would not be listening to it on its own.
Speaker 3
Mhmm. Yep. Getting a lot of approval from the livestream. Austin's loving it. Paddle loves it. Yeah. It's, yeah. It's definitely got that kind of a march y thing to it and perfect for the scene that it was,
Speaker 2
just I'm pretty sure Police Academy or one of those movies actually, you know, they there was a scene that we're all marching. Yeah. The cadets were marching and kinda singing that.
Speaker 3
And it's usually followed up with sound off. One, two, sound off. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 0
love the toy soldiers reference. That made my whole night, Tobias. Thank you for that one.
Speaker 3
Are we gonna kick out toy soldiers later? Is is
Speaker 2
that alright. Oh, by Martika.
Speaker 0
That'd be all. By M and M?
Speaker 3
No. By Martika. Did did M and M sample? I don't know. Anyway, here we go with number seven. I love this song. Get in My Car by Bronco or Proncho. I'm not sure, but, I love this song. Tobias, talk about it.
Speaker 4
Well, I I did this one for Victor.
Speaker 4
This is this is season nine episode five sleepover.
Speaker 2
Well, you know what? This is the best part. Then if that's the case, that's the best part of the episode.
Speaker 4
I mean, it it it's not it's not the, it's not it's not when the that goes black, Victor. I'm just so you're you're you're really moving moving the the scenes up a little bit,
Speaker 4
So this this this is again at the at the end of the at the end of the episode. This this is when, you know, so so, Stewart has been telling Roald that he that he is in the in the in the Bonnie McMurray. And so Roald tells him to go to her and, you know, that, you know, that they I don't know. The the stalking on Instagram or Snapchat or whatever it is. So so Victor is or sorry. Victor is stupid.
Speaker 3
Freud didn't slip there.
Speaker 4
Yeah. Sorry about that. Stewart Stewart is riding his bike, over over to find Bonnie at Gales only only to to watch her drive by on her way to Derry, you know, because Katie's been playing wingman wingman. You know, Riley and Jonesy show up up at Gail's thinking that that that Bonnie McMurray is also there because, you know, they they they hit her up, like clockwork. Right? Mhmm. And then and this this is this is the the most important part at least for me. Rose Rosie shows up at the farmhouse. And if you guys don't remember that scene, I I highly recommend that you watch it again because, Clark Bacco is is unbelievable.
Speaker 4
And then in terms of the the opening line of the song, again, kinda going back to relationships and and perfect and perfect lyrics, would you really wanna make it alone if you could? And so every everybody is going to to to their, you know, want to be partner.
Speaker 4
And so I I I just thought that that was, again, a really good, a really good wine
Speaker 4
For for for the for the, for the scene.
Speaker 3
This is so far my favorite track that you've kicked out. It's got a a Cars feel to it, the band. And, you know, I love the Cars. They're one of my favorite bands. And this one here just kind of has that same kind of feel to it. Matt, what do you think?
Speaker 0
Yeah. It's fun. It's probably it's one of those ones that you're gonna hear it's gonna put you in a mood. Like, I kinda wanted to jump around the room here a bit Mhmm. On, you know, full on pop pop pop pop. And, it was good. Also, it kinda gave me a bit of an okay go vibe.
Speaker 3
A little bit. Yeah.
Speaker 3
I could hear you.
Speaker 0
Like, I could picture some funky music video where they're doing weird shit and just I enjoy it. No. I like it. It's a
Speaker 3
good one. Yeah. This is from their, album Bad Behavior released in twenty eighteen. And Bronco or Broncho, I don't know how to say that, they're an American indie, band formed in twenty ten in Norman, Oklahoma. So, interesting. And they're still they're still active. But, yeah, I love this song. It's it's it's a a poppy, Cars kind of vibe to it. Victor, what do you think?
Speaker 2
Yeah. It's fantastic. Second song that can stand on its own. Mhmm. Doesn't need to have a show for, relevance. Yes. I think that, yeah, probably between the first one and this one, I don't know. They're they're kind of hide right now, but, fantastic song.
Speaker 1
I I I like the tune, but I wasn't a fan of the of the words because I couldn't make them out. I I only got get into my car or something. Mhmm. But everything else that was being said, I couldn't make out what was what is I couldn't make out what what what was being said. Speaker 3
It's it's more of a mood, the song. Speaker 1
It's more The song like, the tune itself was a lot of yeah. It was it was very cute. It was very nice, and poppy as as Matt was saying. I could bounce around if I could bounce around. But, yeah, I couldn't sync to it without knowing what the lyrics are because I couldn't make them out. Speaker 3
Alright. That brings us to number six. Here we go. That is Fine Shrine by Purity Ring to buy, this is now my new favorite of of the ones you've kicked out today. I love, love, love this song. Talk about it. Speaker 4
Season six episode five, the end of different strokes for different folks. Speaker 4
It also, again, closes out the the episodes. I mean, this is what's playing into the credits. I've actually used this scene before. This is, I believe, the first of two, that I've done before. This this is when, McMurray and Mrs. McMurray are are dancing, together very closely. Right. And then Marie Fred walks in. You know, Wayne starts dancing and with her, and then at the very end of the scene is when his eyes pop wide open. Speaker 3
Right. When he decides he's gonna propose to Marie Fred. Speaker 4
Yeah. Exactly. So Yeah. I put this in the top. I I put this at six in that I was afraid, give it given the the the what happened in terms of the story line with Marie Fred, I was afraid that if I put it in the top five, there might be some sort of mutiny or something. But it's a great song. Speaker 4
And it's a great scene. You know, and and and I mean, I wrote I wrote this down so I don't forget Sure. To say it. Before anybody gets too mad about including it on on the list, now remember how hopeful you were the first five times you're watching this episode. Speaker 3
I don't think anyone's gonna begrudge this song. In fact, livestream, they're all loving this song. Cassie, Chastity, Jay, everyone is this is a great, great pick. This is from, the the artist is called Purity Ring from their twenty twelve release, Shrines. And, the reason Jay loves it so much is because they're an electronic pop band from Edmonton on Alberta. So, formed in twenty ten. Still still active too. I loved it. Like, it just sounds lush, and there's a mood to this song. And and, yeah, it's it's a really great pick. Victor, what do you think? Speaker 2
Yeah. It's a good song. Like, for me, obviously, it's the genre. Right? It's electronic music. But it it suffers from what most electronic music suffers from, and that's not having real instruments in the back. And I I just feel like I just feel like it would be so cool to have an a version of the song that maybe, like, the second second not even the second verse, but, you know, like, maybe eight bars in, you you hear, like, real drums come in, and there's just a little more energy, and it starts to build up a little bit. And then you get, you know, there's layers. And the for me, with electronic music, it's, like, it's too surface, and there's not enough layers for me. Speaker 2
But, the song, it's a great song. It's a fantastic melody, great voice. I just feel like that's it's a demo, and it's like, okay. They liked it, and now let's go and record it for real. Speaker 3
Paddle in the livestream. If you had told me four years ago I'd love this genre, I'd say you were delusional. Thank you, Jared, for clearing my the fog of my fog of ignorance to get me out of my comfort zone fucking phenomenal. So, yeah. Tanya, what do you think of this one? Speaker 1
I was driving down the road with my window open and just, like, flowing into this music. Like, that's how it was definitely making me feel. And I just this is my new favorite song. Before you even said it, I was, like, there and being, like, this needs to go on repeat, and this will be my calm, happy song Speaker 3
for sure. Taking, over your man? Speaker 1
god. I was rocking your man today. I was like Speaker 1
Alright. That is one of my jams for sure. Speaker 3
Cassie said that kind of the same things. This song makes me wanna stand in a circle with all our degens and sway slowly together. Speaker 1
Yeah. Oh my god. What a great song. And, like, thank you so much, Tobias. Like, that is seriously gonna be one of my new favorites for sure. Speaker 3
Jay Jay is making fun of Victor here. He said, this song suffers from a severe lack of leather pants wearing lead singers. Speaker 1
Like, Victor, how Speaker 3
do you not love that song? Speaker 2
I didn't say I don't love it. I think it could be so much better. That's all. Speaker 1
I just that's so it's it's so it's it's intoxicating, that song. I just I loved it. Speaker 3
It's it's good. Matt, what what did you think of this one? Speaker 0
So I'm gonna I'm gonna lead off of what, Paddle said there around, you know, thanks to Jared for introducing to new genres. And I totally agree. I mean, I found my playlist the last couple years has grown exponentially with things that I never would have considered in the past. There's a lot of genres, like, even electronic. I don't love electronic by any means, but there's always certain songs in every genre that just connect. Yeah. I like this one a lot. It's I I you're all saying you're right. It's one of those ones you just wanna put I mean, it's like I wanna put headphones on loud, close my eyes, and just Speaker 0
Fall into to it and and just just dig it. I I love it. The other one that did that that to me recently, I I think maybe Jay covered it on his list. If not, I know we we definitely talked about is the the finale song from, the final season there. The mouth guards of the apocalypse. That one became my overnight favorite for a while there. Just I anytime I'd be driving, I put on, like, full blast Mhmm. Just by myself and just enjoy that entire experience. So, I like stuff like this. It just pulls you in. Speaker 3
Oh, here's an idea. Victor, awesome says you should release an album of acoustic covers of Letterkenny songs. Speaker 2
That's fantastic. Speaker 1
I'm in. That's an episode. Speaker 1
Guess the song by Victor's Acoustic, Composite Speaker 2
of it. There we go. Speaker 1
There you go. Love it. Love it. Speaker 3
Yeah. This is a yeah. You're you're knocking it out of the park here, Tobias. Let's see what, you have for your number are we in number five? We are in number five. Here we go. Speaker 1
Filooper beats suckers up big. Speaker 3
I'm gonna try to say this one. By Alastair Alastair Ensemble. Talk about this one. Speaker 4
First of all, I want to give mad props to season three. Speaker 4
will be three the the first of three songs from season three. I mean and, you know, I I I think it is, we've we've talked about it. You guys have talked about it for a long time just how good, this this particular season is. This is season three episode four, a Hicks. And there there's just so much in this in this in this episode. You know, this is when we learn learn about the great fishing in Quebec. Speaker 4
of my one of my absolute favorite lines in in in the series, is when, you know, this is this is when, Derry and Dan are yelling back back and forth. Right? And they're just very clearly just not understanding each other. And but when when when squirrely Dan stands up and yells, you're a cock on a vine. Speaker 3
Okay. So so tell me about cock over there. Speaker 4
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Anyway, but this has nothing to do with Speaker 4
In in this episode is also when, Stewart and Gay, found fuck you. Speaker 4
And this this is, this is while they're mauling the mailboxes. Right. And so the this scene, did not get much love, from from the four of you. However, this song, I think, is fantastic. So, so I I so I included it in a large part, you know, just to kinda remind you about and and others, I guess, about what was going on besides, great fishing in Cuba. Speaker 3
Sure. There's a cool little breakdown here happening. I like Speaker 3
me ask you something, Tobias. Before Letterkenny, had did you spend a lot of time listening to Friendship Hub? Speaker 4
I didn't know Canada existed before Letterkenny. You know? So in in in in in in America Yeah. You know, when when they show things like weather maps, it just stops at places like Michigan and Maine. Speaker 4
You know? So I I you know? Speaker 4
Which is to say, no, Al. Speaker 3
Because, I mean, just judging by your list, and we'll we'll get to more of these. But No. Speaker 4
I I I I I I did listen to Snow. Speaker 3
Sure. But that's not French. That's not French, though. Speaker 0
Sorry about that. Speaker 4
you know, it's everything I knew about Canadian hip hop happened Speaker 3
Here's here's the fun thing about French hip hop. I feel like part of it it's easier because most of the words, you just have to rhyme with a. But it's harder because you have ways more syllables that you have to cram in because of all the extra words that French have to put into to their sentences. But, anyway, this so this year is from, twenty sixteen a la claire ensemble. The album is Les Fleres, Coulier. And, I mean, these guys have been around obviously, they're from Quebec. They're from Quebec. They're still active and Canadian hip hop musical collective. So, yeah. Tanya, what'd you think of this one? Speaker 1
Sorry for my gasping at the beginning. I I did something. I I was trying to stretch, and it didn't work. It's a good song, and I wanna take back what I said earlier of not, understanding the words of the other song because I was like, I don't understand these words either, and I'm digging the song. Speaker 3
So sounds like a lot of sex sex. Speaker 1
What was I saying before? A good tune is a good tune, and that is that was a great tune. It was it really had you kinda bopping in your seat. So, yeah. Love it. Speaker 3
Mhmm. Matt, what do you think? Speaker 0
Did you hear that? I played something I didn't mean to. Speaker 3
No. I didn't hear you. Yeah. Speaker 0
I'll just ignore that part. Edit that out. It was, it's a banger. I mean, it I like the beat. My only issue is I feel like I've heard that beat. Speaker 0
And and and I I know music like that, and I can only do it in small doses. However, it does make me wanna crunk. So that that there's that as well. So it's hard to differentiate the two. So I'll just put it as a good choice. Speaker 3
Alright. Victor? Speaker 2
Yeah. It's probably the least song Mhmm. Song that we've heard so far. Speaker 1
Yeah. The song song. Speaker 2
It it's more of a soundscape if anything else. The thing is, like, as soon as I start hearing auto tune, my eyes just roll so far back into my head, it's like, just stop it already. Like, it's just it's all sounds the same. Just think of something different. But but I I I mean, it's okay. Like, I again, it's fine for a scene, but on its its own, it it doesn't have legs. Speaker 3
Mhmm. Alright. We're down to number four. I I think we're all gonna just start dancing and swaying to this one. I'm sure of it. Here we go. Yeah. Matt's already swaying, and the train's going by. Oh, Victor's got his hit hippo out, and that is not a dirty reference yet. That's about his Speaker 4
ball warmer out. Speaker 3
That is a dirty reference. Speaker 0
The gift that keeps on giving. Speaker 3
Alright. I mean, this is a no brainer, but, Tobias, talk about this one. This is sorry. Let me say it it it all hap always happens this way by Toulouse. Speaker 4
Season three episode three, Modine's two. Speaker 4
And going back to the the the relationship, point that I made way previously, I guess, at this point. The the there there are so many sort of, many relationships that you see during this song. Speaker 4
For example, this this is where, we see Wayne kiss Gail on the cheek. That's right. Speaker 3
The only kiss that that we ever see Wayne give. Yeah. Speaker 4
That's right. Gail then dances with squirrely Dan. Derry and Bonnie dance for what I believe is the first time that they pair up. Katie, then dances with hockey after they've broken up. And again, you know, to to my previous point, Rosie walks in, and then end credits. And so, yeah, I mean, this is just a this this is a a really great song and a really great scene. And this this is, another one that I that that I've already done. This this is also where, this was on my my best of, Joint Boy and and Tyson episode. This is where Glenn thinks that Tyson and joint boy are calling him over. Right? Yeah. You know, so, I mean, the the the this is this is such a great scene for so many of the of the characters, and you you see pairs that you don't always see in this second record, I think. So Speaker 3
this song was released in nineteen seventy seven. It's only a couple years younger than me, by Toulouse off their album Export. And Toulouse is, of course, a Quebecois band that formed in nineteen seventy five. This is a I mean, it's a great, great song. And, Yeah. That that that scene you talk about, it's it's a classic scene. Matt, what what do you think of this? Speaker 0
Yeah. There's not much else to add. It's Speaker 0
in a good mood. Of course, you're gonna sway to that guy. Yeah. Yeah. I don't I like it. I just I'm just enjoying this night, guys. Mhmm. This is good. Keep it coming. Speaker 3
Alright. Victor? Speaker 2
Yeah. So, obviously, like, hemisphere is above everything we've heard so far. Speaker 3
This is your number one so far? Speaker 2
Easily number one. It was so for the first song that was already on my playlist before we started, so so that's important. And just, you know, listen to the song. Like, just listen listen to the layers it has in it. Right? It's just so it's so great. Speaker 3
It's produced so well. Speaker 2
It it's it's so wonderful. It's, you know, people playing instruments. There's everyone's a musician. Like, it's it's fantastic. Speaker 3
In the livestream, yeah, they're loving it too. Oh, yeah. It always happens this way. Paddle's loving it. That paddle says, Acadian artists are such a treasure for me right now. So, yeah. I mean, it's, I mean, yes. Since not since Letterkenny have I ever listened to this much French music myself. So, yeah, we're all going on this trip together. Tanya, what do you think? Speaker 1
I think I could listen to that song and Tobias' laugh all night long and be a happy, happy person. A hundred percent. Speaker 3
Awesome. Alright. Alright. We're down to number three now, our top three. Here we go. Feber's Ven by Gaupa. I this is a mood, this one. Speaker 4
Season twelve episode four, Snooters. This is this is also, again, at the end of the episode. This is this is when Derry is is running with the degens. Right. And I watched at least a little bit of this episode, this morning just to kinda get the set set the tone. This is when you see Mickey, you know, at the gas station and Wayne with with Wayne and Katie, not with, but they they're at the same pump. And, you know, Mick Mick is there. This this is when he's there without dairy. And he describes Derry as a gopher, and tells Wayne that, that Derry tells Wayne and Katie, sorry, that that Derry, who must have been missing a family when he was their gopher. Again, getting back to that relationship point. Right? So this this is beyond friendship now. This is this is family. Speaker 4
This is this is, you know, one of the lines of the the season, if not the the the entire series. Wayne Wayne tells Nikki that if he's gonna go so low, he should suck his dick while he's down there. This song proper is when they're playing run and gun. You Speaker 4
It's in Saturday night. Speaker 3
I remember it well. Yeah. Speaker 4
You know, and, again, this is this is this is when, it's playing over as Wayne learns from Tyson and McMurray that that the I'm a DJN video has been posted, and McMurray in particular is having real problems backing Wayne and getting Derry out. Speaker 4
At the run and gun, you know, Derry is trying to pull away. Harley promises that, quote, keep him warm. Derry is still horrified and wants to go home. But then again, the all kind of, you know, suck him back in by telling him that that, that telling Derry that he's been forgotten, when the the camera pans to Wayne, in the bushes. Yeah. And then and then, you know, fade to black. So, so, again, I mean, just kind of all all all of those points that I'm, again, you know, sort of my Yeah. Accidental theme, I think, run run deep here. So oh, sorry. The whole song, the the the entire the entire lyrics are are just, various iterations of feel our shelter running through our hands. Speaker 3
In Swedish. Yeah. Wow. It's, yeah. It's a great sound. I'm, so it's, the artist is, Galpa and from their album, self titled Galpa in twenty eighteen. And, yeah, they're a Swedish band, from Falun, Sweden. I love this. Like, the the intro sounds a lot like Sweet Emotion by Aerosmith, but then quickly kicks into something I'd hear from, like, I, Mother Earth or something. Like, it's very I love it. This yeah. Hook me hook this to my veins. I can listen to this all day. Victor, what do you think? Speaker 2
Yeah. I was gonna say the same thing. This like, if Janis Joplin or at least a Swedish version of her was frying Aerosmith and they were sitting sweet Speaker 2
Yeah. It it's totally mood setting. Mhmm. I could not listen to it all day long. Like, this is you know, for me, I I love the Doors, but I can only have so much of the doors. Speaker 3
Oh, yeah. Me too. Speaker 2
And I'm ready to move on. Yeah. Fish, you know, Fish, I'm you know, I heard the opening. Okay. Let's move on. So this is the type of song that it just goes on and on. And, and I I get the vibe, and and I'm ready to move on. Speaker 1
I'm so glad you told us where the song was because I was not placing it at all. But the placement of it is so perfect because it just has that kind of that that kind of feel to it, right, of that that moment that was happening. Mhmm. Yeah. It's a it's a good song for sure. Good pick. Speaker 0
Yeah. It's it's got to me, it's got, like, Jefferson Airplane vibes almost in there. Speaker 0
I love it from a soundtrack perspective. Like, I was picturing movies and things, and it's funny. I forgot which episode it was from right when you described it. I remember talking in the last season a couple times around a lot. I felt that there's some inspiration from, like, Guy Ritchie films, Snatch Snatch in particular. And while I was listening to it, it took me right back. So when you call them, like, oh, that that's why I'm feeling the same way again. Speaker 0
Guy Richardson was always done music well in movies. And listening to your whole soundtrack on that same kinda topic, I'm like, the other the other guy I always thought used music really well in his movies was Tony Scott. Speaker 0
you ever seen his flicks, like Man on Fire, Domino, the fan, music was so well just a part of the entire energy of the film. So, I'm loving this list, man. This that song, I could listen to all day. Mhmm. Put it loud. Put it Speaker 3
Oh, yeah. Just to And, actually, not in headphones. I want it on nice stereo in a room, like, where I'm I'm, like, swimming. Speaker 3
Yeah. Yeah. Love it. Alright. We're down to our top two now. Let's, let's hear your number two. Alright. This is Fussy Fuss by Alaclar Ensemble, not to be confused with Alastair Ensemble, which we heard from earlier. They like their ensembles in Quebec. Tobias, talk about this one. Speaker 4
Season three episode four, also Lehigh Hicks. I I really I really like this song for a couple reasons. First of all, it just kicks ass. Mhmm. Second of all, this song is playing really softly, during the scene. The the it is it is not central to the to the the it it is not the scene. It's in the scene. It's of the scene, but it's not sort of taking over the scene like many of these songs do. Mhmm. This this this is in the background, while Roald is telling Stewart that gay can't be trusted. This is very early in that relationship. You know, and and and Stewart then, you know, there's that the the map, the the, like, on the whiteboard or whatever. There there there there's the map of Letterkenny where he draws what ends up being the baby. His his life-sized penis on on the on on the poster. Speaker 3
The the penis that Tanya completely missed. Speaker 4
But, again, you know, in the in the, in the lyric, so this this is the preparation for that mailbox Yeah. Destruction scene. Mhmm. One of the the the translated one of the translated, lyrics is you suffer the havoc my little bully attitude causes. You know? So it's it's it's it's playing quietly during this this this, planning stage. But I, again, I think the the the music really does do itself well. So Speaker 3
Alright. Jeff, what do you think of this one? Speaker 1
This one's okay. This one isn't one of my top, top ones. The the the sound. Mhmm. I'm not a they it keeps on echoing in my head. Speaker 3
Oh, the the whatever that kind of siren y kind Speaker 1
of sound. Siren y kind of sound. I'm yeah. I'm not sure. I that one is the the part that's tripping me up in the song. Speaker 1
But, yeah. I'm I'm excited to hear what number one is. Speaker 3
Oh, I'm being corrected in livestream. They're both the same band, Alaclear ensemble. So I I got it wrong last time. Speaker 0
Might have been. Speaker 3
Because I looked it up, and I no. I think on Spotify, one said Alastair ensemble. Anyway, whatever. This is from their Speaker 4
It it it does, but the but the correction is correct. Speaker 3
Yeah. Okay. It's Speaker 4
You you are both correct except that that the the anyway, you you know Speaker 3
Alright. Good. As long as I'm right, I don't care if somebody else is right as well. Released in twenty ten, from their album four point nine nine. Yeah. And and they're Canadian well, obviously, they're Canadian hip hop music collective. And, Matt, what did you think of this one? Speaker 0
I'm actually leaning on what Tanya said here. I think I was really with you this whole soundtrack today. This one did not hit home button. Sorry. And and and I totally agree. That that that siren sound in the background, I don't know. I I have a thing where I pick up weird sounds, and if I fix on them, I can't unhear them. It's like I like I have trouble having a ticking clock in my room. It drives me fucking bonkers. Speaker 4
This this is the first song that made me want to find out what songs are on the the the, Lord Kenny. Speaker 4
Soundtrack. I mean Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, this was like, what is what is that anyway. Speaker 3
I mean, it Well, admittedly, we don't have we don't have a lot of, hip hop, aficionados in this group. So, we'll have to defer to you when it comes to that. And, I mean, I I hear the you know, that heavy kind of, sampled piano bass kind of, like, riff there, and and I can totally hear that in many things. So Speaker 4
Sorry. And and, actually, since I told Matt earlier be in the in the preshow that I was gonna do this, Matt, tell it to your face. Stand up. Stand up, my friend. Speaker 0
But, anyway Fuck you, Matt. Speaker 3
You're getting some love for this pick in the livestream, so that's all that matters. Victor, what do you think of this one? Speaker 2
Well, I mean, that's the thing. Like, if you're if you're into hip hop Yeah. I'm I'm sure it's a banger. Right? But that's that's the problem. Right? We all have different tastes and whatnot. And, like, one of the things that I'm not there's several things, several reasons why why I'm not into hip hop. But from a musical perspective, one of the reasons, it's it just tends to be too monotonous for me. And and this is a good example of that. This song is perfect if if there was, like, a next iteration of Grand Theft Auto, but in Quebec. This is totally a song that would be on that soundtrack. Right? And totally would make sense. And and there there's a place and a purpose. But if you're into hip hop, you're just listening to this music because you like it, and it's fine. And I get it. Not my jam, though. Speaker 3
There you go. Alright. And now it's time for Tobias' number one. Here we go. I'm Speaker 4
grinding. I'm grinding. That currency coming. I'm sexing the money. I'm shining, I'm shining, I'm certainly stunning, the bras call me cunning. I know they don't know me but after my show when they tell me it's nothing. Hey, tell me it's nothing. Speaker 3
Alright. That is eleven by Pell, off the album Floating While Dreaming from twenty fourteen. Pell, known professionally as Pell, his name is Jared Pellerin, an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer after moving from New Orleans, LA to Jackson, Mississippi, I guess, due to hurricane Katrina. So, yeah. Talk about Pell. Speaker 4
Season two episode six, finding Stormy a stud. This is this is a really great episode. Mhmm. But the the context of this song, you know, so so hockey has has, ventured up to to senior hockey. And they're excited because they've gotten away from coach except that coach then follows them to to the Irish. And just before the song plays, this this is when coach meets them outside the the locker room and starts yelling them, yelling at them for skipping leg day. Speaker 4
You know, and there's the you know, they they that that, the the team has been such a cake walk, and then he then he explains how to how to make an angel food cake. Anyway, you know, so after after they get yelled at, this is when, Riley admits that his, feelings are hurt, and and Jonesy replies that his feelings are injured. And they they can't they they they can't even crush Sandoz. Speaker 4
They they discussed dusting on Praccy. Yes. And and and and and and and they hug. Right. And as the and and as the song begins to play, that they're walking out, like, they're walking out out of the barn. But but Glenn Glenn meets them at the barn door, because he's here for a normal reason. Speaker 4
Which is which is such a great line. Yeah. Speaker 3
I'm here for a normal reason. Speaker 3
But he's very angelic when when you first see him. Speaker 4
Yeah. Yes. Yes. Yes. And I've I've I've taken a picture of myself, at that moment or at that at that at that at that location, precise location. Speaker 4
Yeah. Yeah. So, I mean, so so there's a lot of that. But, again, a, I think that Riley and Jonesy often get overlooked in terms of the, you know, the best scenes and that kind of thing. You know? But their their relationship is is probably, it it may be the tightest relationship in in the show. Mhmm. You Speaker 2
know, we Especially when we're with Katie. Speaker 4
Ever see them take apart is when, Katie breaks them up Yeah. Sort of, you know, so so that she can date only Riley. Yeah. Anyway, and, again, just in terms of the the the lyrics, with all of that in there, tomorrow ain't promise. I live my life honest with no interruptions. Fuck repercussions. I'm living and learning, working and earning and sharing my sermon. And brothers feel threatened, but that don't concern me. Speaker 4
way high I'm I'm way too high up for them birds to deter me. You know? And so, again, I mean, there's this sort of, you know, their their their feelings have been injured by coach. They find Glenn, and then they sort of find themselves again. Speaker 3
Mhmm. So Great. Well, good pick. And, Yeah. This this song here, you know, good flow and stuff. Like, as as far as I know about hip hop, it sounded great to me in in my ears. And, yeah, and, yeah, the perfect for that scene for sure, lyrically, especially. Matt? Speaker 0
So I have gone and added this one to my Spotify, but it's a caveat to that. I'm not sure if I love it. I want to really badly, but, again, it's almost like back to back, that high tone Mhmm. That's repeating Speaker 0
fucking with my brain. So I really like every other aspect of what I'm hearing and what's happening, so I wanna love it. So I'm gonna give it the old college try and see if, see if I if I if I can steer my focus off those tones. But, aside from that, it's a fun choice. I like it a lot. It's it's got a good vibe to it. Speaker 2
Victor? Yeah. So I think it's the probably the best of the hip hop that we've heard today. Mhmm. And and I don't know I don't know anything about hip hop. Speaker 3
Way to find the positive note there, Victor. Well done. Yeah. Speaker 2
Yeah. If if my back was to the wall, I would say this is kind of this might be LA hip hop. Mhmm. Because just just because that's that's being used, as as backing to it. And it tends to be kind of more melodic, supported where the rap is supported with some more more melodic music in the background. Speaker 2
And I actually I dig that. That's, I appreciate that. And and it's probably I I'd have to kind of go back, but I would say that this is maybe number four or number five Speaker 2
From the list. I I pegged it's there, definitely above the other hip hop songs anyway. Speaker 2
But, yeah, it's a it's a good tune. It was, the right tune for the scene, and I would recommend it to my son to add to his playlist. Speaker 3
There you go. Wow. And he might even seem cool to him if you say, dad, really? Speaker 2
That's Yeah. Then he would just go and maybe start listening to Led Zeppelin again. I Speaker 3
Tan, what do you think of this? Speaker 1
I love the lyric breakdown that you gave us, Tobias. Like, you know, listening to the song is one thing and enjoying the tune and the beat. But then when you do the breakdown, it's like, you know, when we do a character breakdown, like, it the song adds to the scene and adds to the character and adds to the story even more than than the than the character breakdown itself. Right? Like, the the the words that, like, I didn't pick up on all of those words, but when you spoke them, it was like, my god. That really fits so well in into the story. For that reason and and and the beat, I I do. I I loved it, and I think it's a great number one pick. And it, you know, hip hop has definitely grown on me. I don't I I I'm always saying I don't I love all genres of music. I think everything has, like, a mood to it. Right? And you're and our moods are always changing. Mhmm. And and I feel like this is definitely something that I could definitely put on. Matt, I'm sure you could get past it. So, if I can get past it, you can get past it. Like, the little bing in the in the beginning, it it did fade out, and you didn't hear it anymore. So I'm I'm I'm sure you'll be you'll be fine. Speaker 3
Along the same vein, Paddle again in the livestream, even as you, Victor, Victor, I am no champion of hip hop. What I've been exposed to through this show has at least made me pause and consider ignoring lyrics and just losing myself in the beat. I can donk all day, boys. So, that's a great great well put for sure. I mean, like Matt said, my, my Spotify playlist is has grown immeasurably past the the the regular nineties fair that I'm that was on it before. Yeah. Victor's shaking his head because of this show. So I I definitely, I think, yeah, I think my my music selection is a lot cooler thanks to Letterkenny and now Shorzy. Tobias, that was great. I loved your top ten. I loved all the the thought you put into it and, and the notes you brought, and the livestream the folks in livestream all agree, and Cassie can't wait. Maybe we'll get Cassie to do the next one. But, good work. Thank you so much for doing this. We're we're, I'm trying to think if we have any other business to run before we do final comments. I so while I think about that, Matt, why don't you give your final comments? Speaker 0
You you you're doing well, bud. Speaker 0
Doing well. This is awesome. I I was like I said, I think right after the first song, it's been a hell of a week. I'm tired. This is exactly what I needed tonight, and I appreciate so much your list, bud. I'd say nine eighty to ninety percent of it, I was a hundred percent on board with. And, but those ones Speaker 0
those ones that I was, though, it was exactly what I needed. I got to close my eyes, got to take in some good tunes, hang out with some friends, and, I like these. So, yeah, whoever's up next, JB and yourself here, Tobias, has set the tone pretty, pretty good on these big lists. So, thanks for coming up. I appreciate you. Speaker 2
Cassie, sorry. I guess, you know, the bar has been set. Mhmm. You made it very academic, but in a fun way. We didn't have to do homework, and, there wasn't any pop quizzes, so I appreciate that. But, you know, you just put so much thought into it, and, you know, the love and the care, and you you made you made what is kind of almost an afterthought, another character in each show. Right? Like, these songs kind of become characters of the show, and I think every when once everybody else goes back and rewatches these episodes, they're gonna watch it with kind of that other a new flavor. Right? They're gonna think back, oh, let me listen. Let me, get get that list that that Tobias made and, and see if I can appreciate this episode in a in a new way even though I watched it probably, like, ten times or so. So, you know, you've done a good service here today, and, I think, the community appreciates you for it, and, good on you, man. Speaker 1
I reiterate what, Victor's saying. Like, great job, Tobias. I really think it is another character, the music. And, music can change everything. Like, definitely this week, all I feel like I've been doing is studying with, our son, and, this is such a great way to end the week and just sitting back like Matt said, enjoying some some time with friends and, some great tunes. And I love the break down that you brought. Yeah. And and it it is. It just adds another layer to the show that when I first saw it at the beginning, it was just like, what on earth is happening with these these characters? And now I have such a a deeper appreciation for for all of it, and thank you very much for bringing that to me. Speaker 4
Matt, thank thank you very much for being a hundred percent on board occasionally. Dicker, as I've told you in person, sometimes I think you and I are watching the different shows. And and and, you know, but I I I will take any praise from you because any letter Kenny praise from you is high praise. Tanny, it's always a pleasure. It's always a pleasure, and and I'll Speaker 1
to hear how when we're gonna see you. You were saying something that we're gonna Speaker 3
see you soon. Six weeks or something? Speaker 4
No. Well, I'm I'm I'm doing the the last, the last episode. Speaker 1
Oh, I thought you meant you're coming to Toronto. No. Speaker 4
I mean, I I I'm I'm gonna try, but I I won't be able to do the, Speaker 3
The Shroyzy classic. No. Speaker 4
Yeah. I won't be able Speaker 1
to do that. Your last Speaker 3
Kinda smack dab in the middle of your semester. Right? Speaker 4
It is. And this and it's yeah. Yeah. It is. Gotcha. But, yeah, I will I will I mean, I'll I will find my way back to Toronto. Fear not. Speaker 4
I I I yeah. I'll I'll leave it there for the moment. And now, always a pleasure. Thank you so much for Speaker 3
this. I've been reminded on the live stream about a bunch of diff pieces of business that we can talk about. So first, the, third installment of our Sudbury adventure Right. Was dropped today. If you guys haven't seen it yet, it features a couple of lovely Victor rants about trains and planes and the periodic table. Speaker 1
Not the planes. The trains, planes, and automobiles. It's planes, trains, and Speaker 3
And periodic table. Speaker 3
I mean, I feel like Victor and Ryan, the cameraman, bonded over those couple of days. And so, Ryan gave him a lot of camera time in this episode, and and and rightfully so. So if any if you haven't haven't watched it yet, we, we have breakfast at Eddie's, and we meet Eddie in person. And, yeah, it's it's it's a fun fun, couple of minutes of, of that. Also, Shorzy season three finale in Canada drops in less than an hour, and we're gonna be watching that in the after party tonight. I can't wait. Speaker 1
In Canada or the Speaker 3
state? In Canada. But then then then I'm gonna sound like Victor. Then Speaker 3
At three AM in the US, all of Shorzy season three will drop tomorrow. Speaker 2
Or So no one's going to work tomorrow? Speaker 3
Is that okay? Maybe not. Yeah. So, we'll all be able Speaker 1
to thing? The The whole campaign? Speaker 3
The whole yeah. The US gets it dropped all in one day, but that doesn't happen, I'm being told, until three AM. But at midnight, it the last episode will drop here in Canada. So we'll have already seen all six episodes. And I'm sure by noon tomorrow, the majority of our listeners will have seen all six episodes as well. Three AM central. You know what? I don't know. I really don't Speaker 3
And, the another note thank you, Cassie. But in one hour and this is I I I think this is just in Canada, but, one hour also tomorrow is, Indigenous Peoples' Day. So that's, happening tomorrow as well, which is all all big part of, national indigenous history month here in Canada. But, yeah, lots to celebrate, lots to do tomorrow. And I will be posting a Spotify playlist of all the, Tobias' picks sometime tomorrow. I'm not doing that tonight. But so I I did it for Jay's episode. I'll do it for for Tobias' so you guys can enjoy. Tobias, you did an amazing job tonight. What I love about this I haven't checked, but I'm pretty sure there's been there was no overlap between your list and and Jay's. Speaker 4
I don't I don't think so. I I mean, I I told you, when I agreed to do this that Jay and I would not have the same Yeah. And that that that's not a knock. I mean, I I like this list a great deal. Speaker 3
But but that's great. But the more of these we're gonna do, the more difficult it's gonna be to come up with a a top ten. And, again, you can overlap a couple of songs. But, so far, you know, we've done two of these, and there's been no overlap. And they've they've all been bangers. They've all been great, picks. You did a great job tonight. Thank you so much. I know it wasn't an easy task to boil it all down to only ten. So I really appreciate it, bud. So now I'm going to play us off with, oh, wait. Where's I I gotta switch over to my Shorzy soundboard because I wanna play us off with, Going Gold by Joe Dolo. Here we go. We are in Shorzy mode.
Speaker 2
I thought you were gonna play more than words for Robbie. And that's
Speaker 3
all we have for this episode. Next week, we begin our coverage of Shorzy three with our friend, Catherine, who's gonna join us to review and recap episode one four to six. If you'd like to support this podcast, become a patron or tell a friend. Also, follow us on most social media outlets at prodosampod. Thank you for joining us. Now we're going to the after party. And when midnight hits, we're going to watch the final episode of Shorzy three altogether. On behalf of Tobias, Tanya, Matt, Victor, and myself, thank you for listening, and have a great week.
