Speaker 0
That fresh produce stand there, that's a beauty. Speaker 1
What do you listen to? Speaker 2
My favorite murder podcast. Speaker 0
Taggart and Jordan's podcast. The produce stand. Speaker 3
It's finally Friday, and that means we are once again hanging out at the produce stand, a podcast paying tribute to everything in that Speaker 3
Now I know what you're thinking there are many a lot of Kenny podcasts out there, but this one can already watch Shorzy season three. Sorry to all those outside Canada. I'm Al, your host, and joining me in the room as always is a lovely Tanya. Online, we have Squirrely Matt, the effervescent Victor. And joining us tonight, there are listeners from all over the globe. Please join me in making some noise for the d gens. Wondrous. Speaker 6
Oh my god. Thank god. Thank god. Speaker 3
I regret nothing. You guys were worried that we were gonna say something inappropriate in front of Matt's son there. That unicorn sound bite alone says it all. So Speaker 0
If you had some of the conversations we were having earlier Speaker 3
Welcome all to the produce stand to the egg hall, and, happy Shorzy season three, everyone. You can unmute yourselves in June. Speaker 4
Yeah. Wait. What's that? Speaker 6
Where where is everyone else? Speaker 1
This excitement is insane. Speaker 3
It's very exciting. Speaker 4
Coming from our live studio audience. Speaker 3
From our live studio audience. So, here we are. We've got, what what would you say? There's about ten people on this on the Zoom right now, and a few more are probably trickling in. Oh, I'm a Awesome's about to join us as well. So, I think some people were saying because we were starting earlier than usual that they were gonna be a little late. So, hopefully, more will join. But, tonight, I mean, we're going to I don't have a whole lot planned for tonight except we're just gonna celebrate, Shorzy season three. And then in the after party, we're gonna watch Shorzy, episodes one and maybe two, Shorzy season three. So, this is exciting. I haven't watched any of it yet today. Matt's looking guilty because Speaker 3
all come out today Speaker 3
No. Only the first Zero. Only the first two drop today. And then they'll drop, I guess, once a week, over the next month until they until it drops on Hulu in the US. June twenty first, is it? Awesome. Yes. June twenty first. Speaker 9
Yeah. It is. It's June twenty first for Hulu. We get all six. Speaker 3
Alright. Cool. So I wanna get this rig rolling. Speaker 10
How are you now? Speaker 3
Tonight's lineup is gonna be Tanya, Matt or sorry, Tanya, myself, Matt, and Victor. Tanya, how's your week? Hi. Speaker 1
My week has been crazy. Speaker 3
You just logged off work, like, five Speaker 1
minutes ago. I did. It's been a wee bit nuts. Training is, challenging, to try to train and do, and it's just all at once. So, it's a short week for us. We had, Victoria Day on Monday. So as it goes, short weeks are always feels like long ones. It feels like you're you're trying to catch up on the day that you took off. So, yeah, basically, this week has been that. I was able to get over to the doctors finally, so that was, great. And I'm going for a bunch of, workup now on my foot, because it's just not healing, and I'm on crutches now. So, we'll find out what the hell is going on with it and why it is taking so long. But, the doctor has, said that, if worse comes to worse, we're going with a cortisone shot, which I'm I'm I'm, like, not not excited about, I should say. I just I'm excited that I won't have the pain. And and here was the thing about going to the doctors. He aggressively pushed on, my heel where the the, like, where the pain is really shooting into already. And, I I almost hit him because I was just like, oh my god. Like, I screamed. I think the whole office heard me. I was not prepared for him to aggressively touch me in that way. That sounds good. Hello. But Riley, Speaker 3
cover your ears. Speaker 1
I was I was not prepared for that, and, I I yeah. I was quickly to, to alert him to stop. So, yeah, it was just, I I'm glad though. I'm going for X rays tomorrow and, ultrasound soon, and hopefully get this thing fixed because summer is here. Oh, I was though. I did do a couple rounds on, a bike, over the weekend because we had the long weekend. And, the bike seems to work out okay. So, whatever I don't need to walk on a bike, just kinda pedal, which is a, a bike. Speaker 1
So On-site. I I did a test run and all went well. So then I went for a ten k bike ride, and, I felt amazing to get out. Oh my god. The mental, help that it was just to get outside and because I love walking. I love going for ten k walks. So, I have not been able to do that in the last five months. So, that was super, amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. So, yeah, that's me. Cool. Speaker 3
My week, it's been it's been eventful, especially today. So, season six of, Yes We Reopen is done. I I finished the last episode went out on Monday. So I'm I can breathe again for a bit. I I I equate it to, you know, the day after you file your taxes. It's like that's sort of relief where it's like, I don't need to worry about it for another four months for for that anyway. So that's great. And then I got some good news. It was actually yesterday, but we we got to share it today. And, that, yes, we were open, won an award, won a Quill podcast award for, yeah, for branded podcast of the year. Thank you, guys. Yeah. There's Speaker 1
to do that, the clappy thing. Speaker 3
To do that. Okay. Yeah. Speaker 1
You're near that button. Okay. You deserve it. Speaker 3
Thanks. It's a it's a lot of work, and, and I'm I'm proud of it. And, like, it's funny. My boss says that I I seem seem to have a favorite child because I've I produced two podcasts for Maneras. But Yes We Are Open is the one that gets all the love because it's really it's the one where I get to travel the country. The other one, you know, I don't get to travel. But, so that's fun. We, oh, I finished Picard. Picard season three. So I don't know, some of you guys are Star Trek fans. I enjoyed it. Speaker 3
Yeah. It was really good. They basically brought the band back together for that last season. And, it Speaker 9
it was pure nostalgia. Speaker 3
Oh, yeah. For sure. But it was That's all it was. Yeah. It was great to see everybody, there, and an interesting story line and stuff like so, I mean, it looks like they've tied a boat of that, hopefully, that story, but it also looks like they've set up some new potential stories with, a new crew and stuff like that. So that was fun. And, yeah. I mean Bridgerton. Bridgerton. Bridgerton. And I started watching Bridgerton. So season was a three. Speaker 3
is. And, we've already watched the first four episodes, and now we're waiting for the next four to drop. Speaker 1
And we were channeling Trace, the other night. I was thinking about you, dude. We were having a tornado. Speaker 3
Oh, right. Yeah. Speaker 1
That was And I was like, how do you live in in a place where you get it all the time? I just I can't even imagine what that must feel Speaker 11
Yeah. It's, you know oh, you know what I mean? You go outside. You look you you get on the porch and you watch it. It's fun. Speaker 1
You yeah. No. We were in the basement. We we we got the alert. Speaker 11
You didn't see it there. Speaker 0
And I know. Spin. Speaker 3
I'm like, I'm watching looking out the window waiting for it to to show. It never did. I mean, you know, we're we're not in Texas. Like, the last big tornado we had was, like, forty years ago. Speaker 1
Well, it's usually north of us. Yeah. Yeah. It's about an hour Speaker 3
Remember it. It was I think it was an f four. It was a big one, and it was, like, you know, it it caused a lot of damage and and maybe, I don't know, less than a kilometer from my house, and our house is untouched. So I'm not too worried. I mean, unless it actually goes, like, over our house, you know, about damage or whatever. And it didn't help though because we we also just finished watching the last few episodes of Young Sheldon. And if anyone follows along in that show, in the previous season, the the the grandmother's house gets leveled by a tornado and, spoiler alert. And, Speaker 1
So our daughter had Yeah. Had trauma or not trauma, but, just Speaker 3
because she the trauma. She had secondary trauma. Speaker 1
Yeah. She recently watched that, and she's like, oh my god. Is that what's gonna happen? We're like, no. No. No. Not all houses get and not all houses have that happen. No. Speaker 3
So, anyway, that was Speaker 4
Don't don't let them watch, Twister or Twisters Speaker 4
The new semi sequel thing. Speaker 4
she'll never wanna leave the house ever again. Speaker 3
Or even more the impossible movie. Sharknado. Anyway, Matt, how was your week? Speaker 0
My week. Well, first, I wanna introduce my oldest Riley here. Hello, Riley. Riley. He's he's not he's not normal. Speaker 9
How old Riley implies the existence of younger Riley's. This is your oldest Riley. Speaker 2
It it is like it's like the Jimmys. Riley. Speaker 0
You found a loophole there, Austin. Speaker 3
His oldest, comma, Riley. There you go. Speaker 0
There we go. My my elder son Punctuation Speaker 4
is important. Yes. Speaker 0
Was was brave enough to join us tonight. He's not normally like, when we do this on Thursdays, he's not normally here, but I, I said you're more than welcome to hang out. And surprisingly, he said yes. So I've given him an out at he's hitting me. I've given him an out at any time if he wants to leave. Riley, say hello. No. Hello. Speaker 3
Hi. His voice is already deeper than Matt's. Speaker 0
Go on, Matt. I know. I'm going backwards, man. It's all good. I'm still waiting for puberty. Speaker 0
But my week's been good. We've been busy. It was a long week of us here. I know I posted a few photos. We've been working on the pathway into our yard. So that was a project that, we took on, and, that was a lot of fun. I say that hesitantly because it was a lot of work, but it's paid off, and I post a little video today of the final product. I mean, it needs a couple little tweaks, as the stone settled, but I'm quite happy with how it turned out. Yeah. It looks great. Yeah. Thanks. Very happy with that. It's been two years. So when I built my deck, like, two years ago, that's been a dirt road since. So it's about time that we put a path there. Speaker 3
Looking forward to the next big deck energy episode. Speaker 0
We, we should line that up soon. Speaker 0
I'm, you let let's let's talk. Let's do the talk thing and then make that all thing happen. I'm in. Speaker 4
You gotta play that theme song that I sent you. Speaker 0
I'm in. Yeah. There we go. Aside from that, we there was a funny story. So my youngest, not his his name is not Riley, just for Speaker 0
My youngest has been really funny. So lately, he's been sneaking toys to school. So he's four. Speaker 0
in kindergarten. And what we found so was it last night, we got a random message from one of the other parents in the class saying, hey. I think I have some of Caden's toys. Like, what do you mean? And I guess his friend Rio came home with three ninja turtles and a whole bunch of Pokemon, which we didn't even know Caden took to school. So I guess he got ready. He asked if he could take his Pokemon card. So he grabbed a couple cards, loaded his bag yesterday morning, and then Jen said that next thing she knew and this never happened. This should have been the red flag. He was fully dressed, backpack in hand, at the door, ready to go to school. And it seems suspicious, but what had happened was he had loaded his bag up with toys and fast tracked to the door ready to go. And turns out he's giving them all away to his friends. So Speaker 0
Basically, like, Santa Claus at school, but we tried to tried to explain to him that he can't just give away his toys. So they're all on their way back one by one, but he's, quite a little quite quite a little toy maker or toy distributor, I should say. It's, so it's been pretty funny. Speaker 9
weeding his collection. Right? They don't spark joy anymore. Speaker 0
Yeah. Well, I know Speaker 3
good way to be. You know what? That's good. It's somebody else's problem to get rid of that shit. My my my house is full of stuff that my daughter will not get rid of. Speaker 0
Yeah. But that's the weird thing. Like, how do you address it? Like, don't you dare give people stuff. I'm like, no. It's, like, it's nice that you're doing this, but your stuff so you're gonna have to be delicate. And but in all fairness, he had three of the exact same Raphael's. We don't even know where they came from. And then when I say exact, I mean, like, literally the exact same toy in triplicate, which he gave all three to Rio. So we told Rio he could keep one, but we should probably get the others back. So who knows what'll happen next, but this little bastard keeps sneaking toys into school. Speaker 4
You you need to you need to work with him on his trade craft. I mean, he he gave it away when he when he was fully ready to go. I mean Speaker 0
not getting anything in return. I said, what did Rio give you? He's like, nothing. I'm like, okay. Speaker 3
Gratitude. He gave he gave him Speaker 2
a life lesson in return. Speaker 0
What's that, Riley? They do say sharing is caring. Speaker 1
Yeah. There you go. Wow. Speaker 0
That's my guy right there. Speaker 3
Yeah. He sounds like you. Yeah. I see you're you're rocking the new, TPS merch Speaker 0
there. I am. I am. I got the shirt. Sorry, Victor. I got yours right over here. Speaker 0
We'll get it. We'll get it soon, bud. I'll I'll come meet you. I promise ish. Speaker 3
It's a beautiful Speaker 3
shirt with with beautiful Sykes artwork. Thank you so much. Victor, how have you been, bud? Speaker 2
I've been good. I'm a little distracted, though, by Liz. Speaker 3
I thought you would be. Speaker 2
Liz, you're gonna be my favorite tonight. How Speaker 0
is it any different? Every time she pops a hippo on, you lose your mind. So Speaker 8
Yeah. You're like that's Coke for something. Speaker 3
I was yeah. Every time she pops Speaker 0
however you want, Liz. Speaker 3
She pops a hippo. Speaker 2
That's a It's not just a hippo. Speaker 6
Sexy unicorn hippo. A Yeah. Speaker 12
It is. Exactly. Speaker 3
It's a horny hippo. We're a hippo with a unicorn horn, to be exact. Speaker 2
Anyway, so so yeah. I feel like Speaker 1
I feel like it's center square. Like, right? Speaker 3
She's center square. Speaker 1
The the, what was that game called? Speaker 3
Hungry Hungry Hippo. Oh, no. Speaker 1
No. No. The game show. Speaker 8
The x's and o's. Squares? Speaker 1
God believe it. Hollywood Squares. That's what it was. Yeah. Hollywood Squares. Speaker 3
I was I was imagining horny horny hippos. That would be a very different game. Speaker 8
Oh my god. I'd say. Speaker 2
This is incredible. Speaker 13
So to be fair. The the Speaker 4
the horn is not as big as Stewart's. No. This is it. Speaker 3
Yeah. This is like a nineteen eighties cops flashlight. Go on. Victor, come on. Speaker 2
Oh, man. So what's happening? It's a short week Mhmm. Which means it's double the work like Tanya said. That's true. But it's over. It's Friday, so we can enjoy and have fun. And I guess I'm getting ready for my, event next Thursday. Speaker 3
Oh, that's right. You're speaking at, an event? Speaker 2
At a industry event. Yeah. I'm gonna be on a panel and, fielding questions I don't know what they're gonna be. So that'll be Speaker 0
cheer you on? I think we talked Speaker 0
Can we come cheer you on? Speaker 2
I know it's not. I think Speaker 3
I wanna I wanna heckle. I mean, cheer you on. More than welcome. Speaker 0
meant by cheer on, Al, just in case I wasn't noted. Speaker 2
Oh, you you can just say, hey. Moneris is interested in, you know Yes. Is interested in this in LXP's Speaker 2
Which is what this is about, and go and and, you Speaker 3
know Sorry. Representation. I'm already bored. Speaker 2
LXP is part is part of Al's, you know, Not anymore. Backgrounds. Speaker 0
So you're talking about learning experience platforms. Speaker 4
You should be ashamed of yourself out there. Speaker 2
Matt. You're such so He just did a Google Speaker 1
Riley's right there. Speaker 3
Oh, Riley's your fact checker. I love it. So just just slightly off topic, I I I celebrated my ninth year at Manera's. Speaker 3
knocked the Did he disconnect? No. He did. Speaker 3
I I celebrated my ninth year at Manera's, last week, and somebody, you know, congratulated me, wished me a happy anniversary, and said, is there any, you know, piece of wisdom you can impart, you know, after nine years of being at the company? And and I said, yes. Once you leave training, you don't care about training anymore. Speaker 2
Yeah. It's not training anymore, Al. Whatever. It's skilling and reskilling. Uh-huh. Speaker 3
Yeah. See, this is this is why I'm happy I left. Speaker 3
Have you watched anything interesting? Speaker 2
We started because we took a break for all this other stuff. So we came back to, I always forget the name of the show, us or them? Speaker 2
This is us. Yes. And and it's season five, and season five is when COVID happened, and that's when the whole George Floyd thing happened. Speaker 2
And so they actually worked that into the show, which I was always con a little concerned that, you know, you it's been written really, really well, and you don't want it to become, you know, whether it's left or right kind of agenda focused and stuff like that. And they've done a really good job not making it about that. Mhmm. So so, yeah. So it continues to be very well written show. Speaker 3
This is sus. We're Speaker 3
Have you cried yet? Speaker 2
I no. No. But I don't To be honest Speaker 2
a I'm not a crier. I'm I'm I'm really not. No. Like, I'll cry if, like, you know, I cried when Pumpkin passed away. Okay. But, like, you know, something like that. But Speaker 3
So you're not completely dead inside. But, Speaker 2
No. Like, I'm more like animals. I get emotional with animals, but humans, I'm I can take them or leave them. Speaker 14
Okay. Wonderful. Speaker 4
part of your wedding vows? Speaker 3
We should ask Linda that. Alright. Great. Well, thank you guys for I Speaker 1
I have to know if Josh is storm chasing. Like, I've seen his outside of his I'm watching Speaker 1
has just joined us for a while. Keep your eye on Liz. I'm gonna keep my eye on Josh because, like, out your window, it was daytime and now quickly has become night. So are you chasing a storm, or where are you going? Are you fleeing from one? Speaker 0
No. For some reason, I thought this started at nine. Mhmm. And I'm actually on my way home. Speaker 0
So I'm a little late joining, and I'm going in and out of cell reception. So it's kinda iffy. Speaker 3
All good. I think the last tag call we had, our buddy from, Michigan, he joined us from a hockey game. So, I mean, whatever. Speaker 0
He didn't say a word. He just screamed the hockey game. Speaker 3
He just screamed the hockey game. It was like he was here technically, but he wasn't saying anything. Speaker 0
I'll be able to join from home here in about ten minutes. It's forward to it, bud. Speaker 1
Is there a storm coming? Why is it so oh, it's just night Speaker 0
It's just getting dark. Speaker 1
Got you. Got you. Okay. Speaker 1
Don't ever go around here. Concerned for you. Well, Speaker 3
in the immortal words of, the doors there, Josh, keep your eyes on the road and your hands upon the wheel. Here we go. Well, don't bore us. Get to the chorus. Last week, we went between the sheets with our buddy, Jez, from Perth, Australia, and he quizzed us on statistics about our own podcast. And it was actually a lot of fun. Speaker 6
We're doing such a good show. Speaker 0
I'm so sorry. What? Speaker 1
Retrain the sheets of jazz. Speaker 3
That's exactly what we did. Speaker 0
no our own information. Speaker 3
Jez was with us. I think he he missed out on on his, little Speaker 3
Recap there. He's Speaker 3
Yeah. This week, we're celebrating the drop of Shores season three in can in Canada with a bunch of our closest friends who can't watch it yet. So we're kinda, like, rubbing this in their face. Now Jess is in his car. What is this? Everyone's just Speaker 0
What are you doing? Speaker 0
doing construction, like, three minutes ago? Speaker 3
He was like, I don't know. Speaker 0
You're renovating your bathroom. Yeah. Had Speaker 10
had to pop down to the hardware store. Speaker 3
Oh, I see. Okay. Speaker 1
I love that we're going on all these journeys tonight. Speaker 5
This is truly like a a go around Speaker 11
the world into the horror world. Speaker 0
Like a virtual travel show. It's different. Speaker 3
Anyway, so let's get this thing started. Well, don't bore us. Get to the chorus. I'm gonna go around the horn. We're gonna talk. I I I I I fully one hundred percent admit we don't have a lot planned for tonight. No trivia. We're just gonna talk about Chorsey. We're gonna sit here and talk about it. Your hopes and dreams. Talk. And then we're gonna watch the first two episodes once Victor drops off at the after party. So let's start with the top left of my screen here. Trace, how's it going, buddy? Speaker 11
Good. How's it going with y'all? Speaker 3
Good. And, you where are you right now? You're you're in this different location than your usual. Speaker 11
I am at, I'm house sitting at my brother's house. He went to Florida, and, he has a dog that's very scared of storms. Speaker 11
Well, I mean, it's early late spring, early summer in the south. And so that just means every Speaker 3
day is a potential for Speaker 11
severe thunderstorms Sure. Or, you know, god Speaker 3
Now is your brother a podcaster too? Did you actually bring your mic from home and stuff? Speaker 11
I loaded it all up and Speaker 3
brought it. Because I knew we'd Speaker 11
be calling today. And, no. He's he's an engineer. He's not he's not cool like podcasting. Speaker 0
I love how ambitious you are taking your mic, though. Like, even when I go away, I just pop in my headphones And wherever I am. Speaker 3
Joins us from his car with a very long extension cord. Speaker 0
And Victor went, what, five seasons on still just headset? Like Speaker 3
Took forever. I will say Speaker 11
this is there was between, my Samsung and, sorry. And, you know, my terrible luck with headphones, I've never gotten a pair that sounded worth a crap. So I bet figured I better it's fairly portable. So, I mean Yeah. It's not harder. Speaker 3
Well, your mic sounds sounds better than anything Victor's ever used. So there you go. Speaker 3
So, I mean, how have you been? I can't remember the last time we spoke to you. Speaker 11
Oh, really? Probably stretch out was every other week. Speaker 3
Yeah. Well, yeah, probably the last time you filled in for one of either Victor or Matt. Speaker 0
Oh, I'm sorry. Trace. Trace. Don't get I know you get worked up when we ask you how your week is, so it's not this is a low pressure question, bud. Speaker 11
It's it's been, uneventful and just making it to the holiday weekend. Speaker 3
Oh, so is that Memorial Day? Is that this coming weekend? Speaker 11
Yes. That is that is Monday. Speaker 3
Well, happy Memorial Day to our American listeners. Enjoy your weekend. Now, let's talk about what's happening. Speaker 2
Holiday in the UK as well. You can't leave them alone. Speaker 3
It really? Memorial Day? Speaker 4
It's a it's a bank holiday. Speaker 2
It's a bank holiday. Speaker 4
Which they they don't even bother giving them names anymore. They just call it a bank holiday. Speaker 2
I thought you called it, like, an early summer Speaker 2
or something. Early June or whatever. Speaker 4
I have no idea. They they just say, oh, it's a bank holiday for late May, and there's one for early May. And it's like I don't know. They don't even give them names anymore at this point. So Speaker 3
Lots of holidays. Off. Run Speaker 1
We have to find out. No. So in Australia, are you also having a holiday on Monday around the world? Speaker 10
Saturday. We're we're technically having a holiday, but it's a Saturday. So no. Speaker 4
So Monday is just a weekly holiday. Speaker 10
No. We've got we've got a WA day in a few weeks, I think, which is off on a Monday, but, no, nothing this week. Speaker 1
And WA stands for Speaker 10
Western Australia. Western Australia. Speaker 1
Western. Oh, okay. Right. Speaker 11
I've never understood the fact that, like, even up in Canada, y'all have, like, provincial holidays. Speaker 11
It's like, we don't really just have, like, a holiday down here where one state takes the whole day off and the other forty men just keep going along. Speaker 7
Yeah. We actually do. There's one. I think it's Patriots Day, and it's just Maine and Massachusetts celebrate it. Speaker 11
Oh, yeah. Whatever. We're weird. I know. Speaker 11
But y'all run a marathon on that day, don't Speaker 13
Some of those southern states used to take, like, Lee's birthday off. Speaker 11
Yep. No. Lee's birthday oh, that that's a that's a fun one. Is that's the way they got around Martin Luther King's birthday. Speaker 3
Yeah. Same day. And figure. Speaker 11
Yeah. In fact, to this day, when the kids schedule comes out for school Yeah. It says King Lee Holiday, Speaker 11
weirdest juxtaposition of a holiday name I've ever heard. Speaker 11
King Lee. Martin Luther King. Speaker 3
Gotcha. Robert Lee. Speaker 13
Both. Celebrating both. Speaker 3
Wow. Oh, interesting. Oh, yeah. Speaker 11
Oh, we we bought it we this Southern states bought it tooth and nail. Yeah. And then it became a federal holiday, and they're like, well, fine, but we're gonna call it Robert e Lee day. Yeah. And you're like, Speaker 3
Let's talk quickly of some of the things that have happened since, you were last on. The, Discover Sudbury video that start the the series started and the first video dropped. Have you had a chance to see it? Speaker 6
It was very, very, Speaker 3
Wasn't it? It was so fun. Speaker 11
It was, it looked like y'all guys were having an absolute blast. Speaker 3
Well, we were being led around the city and having our meals and hotel paid for. So, yeah, we no complaints. Speaker 11
It it just really seemed like they were like, hey. That Mac guy knows how to talk on camera. Let's Yeah. You know? Yeah. Let's let's let's hit him lead the way. Speaker 3
Well, from the teaser video, I think the next next person we're probably gonna hear from is Tanya. Or at least we're gonna see her in Speaker 11
in Oh, okay. So they are spreading around. Speaker 3
I'm I'm assuming. But Yeah. I mean, who knows? It's looking Speaker 3
And maybe it's just Matt talking the whole time. If it is I Speaker 0
I was I was actually surprised I did as well as I did considering how hungover I was when I did that interview. Speaker 2
They had to auto tune the whole thing. Speaker 0
I've been told by multiple people that they don't sound like me in that video probably because my voice was gone from the night before, but I'll take it. Speaker 9
Now That was a post karaoke. Speaker 3
Oh, is that the post Speaker 3
Robbie carrying you around like a An Speaker 0
awesome carrying me around. Speaker 3
An awesome carrying you around. Speaker 0
Everyone took a turn carrying me around. Speaker 9
Now Well, you're you're so fun size. You just fit right in the the breast pocket. You know? Speaker 0
Fun size Matt. That's what they call me. Speaker 1
No. That's what we're gonna call you for sure. Now I Speaker 3
was expecting to talk more about this video, but now I'm looking at the screen and only Josh and and Austin were were there. So, I'm hoping that more people will join who are there. But, anyway, we'll talk about that as we go through this episode. She was there. Speaker 1
Casey was there. Speaker 3
Oh, Casey. Yeah. Casey is there. She right now, she's waiting for her boys to go to bed. So she can't join us just yet, but she's listening. Hi, Casey. Allegedly. Allegedly. So, Shorts is season three. Trace, what do you think? What are you looking forward to? Speaker 3
What are you looking forward to? Speaker 11
Well, I was always a big fan of the national senior tournament arc in Mhmm. Letterkenny. So our I hope they lean into the, you know, the provincial characteristics like they did there. I mean but, I really liked so I'm looking forward to seeing that, which means there'll probably be a lot of, you know, more of the where RA and Speaker 3
Yeah. Jay Henri are on there Speaker 11
and stuff, and that would be fun. Speaker 3
Questionable call. Yeah. Speaker 11
Questionable call. Thank you. Yes. And other than that, I wanna see I wanna make sure I see Scott more Scott Thompson, at least Mhmm. One episode that leans into that and, all the lore and more they can give. Speaker 3
Yes. And I'm I'm sure Chad, especially, is hoping for more lower and more. Very good. Now speaking of yeah. You're talking about the different teams. I mean, in the Hulu teaser, we got a little bit of a glimpse on like, there's a hockey team with cowboy hats, so I think we're gonna see a team from Alberta. And, of course, this this the the team from Vaughan, Ontario has Italian shirts, so, which is very stereotypical of that area too. Speaker 1
So I think more peppy paninis, probably. Speaker 3
Yeah. So I think, yeah, I think we'll see, a lot of that. Maybe, yeah, maybe the tournament tournament will be sponsored by Pepe's or something. So looking forward to that. Yeah. I'm I'm the the Hulu teaser that dropped actually showed a lot more than anything that we got from the Canadian. We're getting that slow drip from the Jory Jordan and and introducing the the the blueberry bulldog. So that's been fun, though. Speaker 0
It's it's so curious to see that. Because I did that last season too, if I recall. The the teasers or trailers that they released on Hulu versus Crave in Canada were the tone difference was wildly different. Yeah. And maybe that's just their no other audience or what's that? Speaker 9
It's the same for Letter or Kenny. Speaker 9
Because, Crave would put out, like, three, spots, and then Hulu would put out one that just gave everything away every single time. Speaker 14
Yeah. Yeah. Like, I feel Speaker 0
that Hulu approach is a much more sort of stereotypical trailer Speaker 0
would that you would see with anything that comes at. Whereas, like, Crave, they're like, let's just give them a just a snippet of something, and then you can bite onto whatever you want from that and call it a day. Yeah. So they're a little more artistic maybe up here. I don't know. Make it what you want, but it's very different tone. Speaker 3
Yeah. I do love the the the awesome edit at the end of the the Hulu trailer before Shorzy says what he's about to do to, to the, what's his name's mom's anyway, we'll we'll go on. Charlie, in the UK, for the nth time tonight, what time is it over there? Speaker 4
is now two zero seven. Speaker 3
Two zero seven AM. And you were up at what time this morning? Speaker 3
So you're almost at twenty four hours up. Speaker 4
Yeah. Well, that's all my Navy life where I can go for thirty six, forty eight hours without sleep. Speaker 1
So I wanna see you play that game. What what was it? Where they had to stay up and they had to do technical things, and then they what was it? The million? Speaker 4
They they I'm fairly certain in the rules for that game. They forbid any sort of veteran of any type. Speaker 4
We live on zero sleep. So we we could do all the things they're asking of us and then crack a monster and put in a put in a dip and say, okay. Where what's the next thing you want me to do? Speaker 0
Back a monster and put in a dip. I like it. Speaker 4
Don't forget the Speaker 0
don't forget the nitros. That's right. Speaker 3
Are you popping hippos while you're doing that as well? Speaker 0
I was like, it it keeps going. Speaker 3
Is that just Liz? Speaker 4
Yep. So, it was a long day at work, longer day than I expected. We normally get get an early release, you know, for the big holiday weekends, and I had work stuff that could not be handled within that five hour period. So I had to stay pretty much to the end of my normal workday. Speaker 3
Boo. But I I know the feeling, though, because last weekend when everyone got let go at three o'clock early, you know, for because it was a long weekend. Whoever can leave can leave at three, and I was, like, working well into Saturday on on on the podcast. So I didn't I didn't get to do that. But, yes, Speaker 4
Yep. But, my week or probably last time I mean, the last time I was on with you guys was other than after parties was, the last AG hall. So kids are they're two of their away or their sound competition's down. So, my daughter is actually in fourth place right now for the slow fleet, so that's a an accomplishment. She wasn't even ranked last time. So Speaker 1
Wow. That's amazing. Speaker 4
An improvement for her. And then my wife's doing better with, her sailing. She actually went went to a a women on the water event this morning Wow. Which is just a a small set of, you know, female sailors out of the lake and getting some training in, but also, you know, just doing some better handling and stuff. Speaker 0
How how big are the boats that she's, Speaker 4
They're not they're they're single hander boats, so they're fairly small. And they're meant for sailing on a lake. So they're not two man or four man, bikes. Yeah. These well, it's a single hander, so it's one person Oh, okay. In the in the boat. So, today, she was in a double hander, I believe, with, one of the parents of one of my daughter's friends, who also sales. But, yeah, so that's what they were doing. And then after this after Memorial Day, I have a I have to go to a conference in Belgium. So, so I have to hop on the Eurostar and go there for a couple days and then come back. Speaker 4
Yeah. I mean, it's it's fine. It's over in, about an hour outside of Brussels. Speaker 2
So I mean, the Eurostar. Entire. Speaker 4
Yeah. Yeah. The Eurostar is always fun. It's it's a hell of a lot cheaper than flying. Speaker 2
train for all of you commoners. Speaker 4
Yeah. Thank you. That out. Your enthusiasm gave me Speaker 1
It was either gonna be a train or a hippo. I Yeah. Speaker 3
Jeff with the Jeff with the blue spatula. Yeah. As opposed to the one percenters that take trains all the time, they're a victor. Speaker 4
But, one one other thing that I've discovered here was that, co op actually had all dressed chips. So I'm trying those out. Speaker 4
They're alright. They're not as saucy as they claim to be, at least for the American taste for it. But, I since I've never had the Canadian version, I can't really give a Speaker 4
Honest opinion about whether it's better than or as good as. But Speaker 3
Well, probably not. If if if you're only saying they're alright, then they're probably not on par with the Canadian chips. Speaker 4
Well, I mean, the English are not are not well known for for having spices or anything like that. Yeah. So they keep thinking it's nineteen forty. Speaker 3
It's not. Exactly. Alright. Now, Shorzy, what what are your hopes and dreams for, season three of Shorzy? Speaker 4
I just wanna see how they're gonna top being, you know, the the, you know, best or the, what do you call them, the the best bolt you know, best team ever now. So now they're having to go against everybody else, so I'm curious how they're gonna handle the whole tournament. Mhmm. And, obviously, we wanna see more of Nat, Zeke, and me and, more Lauren, more, of course. Speaker 4
Yeah. More and more. Mhmm. And, I really kinda wanna see how they're gonna grow each of the characters too because, I mean, they're still, you know, they're still unfolding their own personal histories and stuff and trying to build those up. Mhmm. I'm actually kinda curious if they're gonna go into some of the other players in their backstories, if you will. Because for the most part, all the other, players, we kinda only have them from when they started with season one Mhmm. Going forward. We don't really have too much of a backstory on any of them. But I do wanna see Shorzy's family show up to the to at least one of the games. And then from and you get to watch it from their perspective Right. Of him, you know, their their number one kid or whatever out there, land laying into the lumber on these guys and just watch them cheer them on and stuff or have their own commentary, especially, you know, his, sisters, just, you know, chewing them or throwing throwing insults at him as he's going by. Speaker 3
Yeah. More family, Shore family stuff is is definitely, on the menu here. Liz, owner of the horny hippo. Speaker 8
corn. I my week was good. Speaker 3
Just for those who are for those who are listening, Liz's backdrop is a a hippopotamus with a unicorn's horn. We are not commenting on Liz's state. Speaker 8
Which if you remember every single episode that you've ever done, I, was actually my background That's the only reason why I had Speaker 0
You came in hippo hot right out of the gate. Speaker 12
I remember. Well, Speaker 8
so I actually collect hippos. Victor has one. I have, like, five hundred. So Speaker 8
Well, most of them are in boxes. A lot are at my parents' house, but I have I have a ton. So, you know, I just it's just another one for my my collection there. Speaker 0
No. No. Prior to the podcast, did you share that information publicly? Speaker 0
didn't think so. Okay. Speaker 2
Liz, just to correct, miss misconception, I also have a hippo collection. It's not just one. Speaker 2
Yeah. It's a plethora of hippos. It's Speaker 8
Is that like a herd? Speaker 1
Is that between, like, one hundred and two? Or Speaker 11
It's a juggernaut. Speaker 1
number range would that land in? Speaker 2
So what what what's what's funny is that I had a a huge, hippo collection before, you know, we had kids. And so you'd think the kids would just naturally inherit the love for hippos, but, no, my daughter was born, and she became It's Speaker 0
not a genetic love. Speaker 2
Yeah. She became infatuated with ducks. And then my son was born, and he became infatuated with zebras. So, our family has a an enormous collection of ducks, zebras, and hippos. Speaker 8
What about your wife? Speaker 3
collection of of zoo tolerance. Speaker 2
Of tolerance. Yes. She she came with a she came with an actual cat. So so, you know, when I, got together with with her, she had Oliver who I, I guess, adopted, and, and then we transitioned. So she loves cats more than anything else Speaker 3
else in the world, but Speaker 2
she never really collect the stuffies. She was more into the real thing. And I would love the real thing as well. We're actually gonna go to the zoo this weekend to visit, Perky and Petal, who are our two local, wonderful hippos at our Toronto Zoo. So it's gonna be very exciting. Speaker 8
be sure to take lots of pictures for us. Speaker 2
sorry, Liz. Back to you and your love of hippos. Speaker 8
Yeah. Well, so it started no. I'm just kidding. My week my week was good. It was just kind of a normal busy week, you know, yeah, dealing with my own personal house hippo, AKA Daisy the pit pit bull. Mhmm. She's a she had surgery a few months ago, and she doesn't seem to be healing very well. It was on her leg, but she's still limping a lot. So, even though the vet was kind of anti CBD, I'm now trying CBD to see see if that helps a little bit. I just wanna keep giving her pain pills. I feel like she's gonna get addicted and be like one of those people in in, like, the rehab or something, and I don't know. I feel like we're just going down a long and scary path there for her. So Speaker 3
Well, if you can each just share your gummies, then, that that'll that'll be great. Right? Speaker 8
Yes. The she does have some drops, and, so putting that in her but it's only been a week Mhmm. That I've been. So I don't I don't know if they're working yet or not, but, I mean, this I I love her, but goodness gracious. It's a lot of work to be a Mhmm. Dog mom and and and a mom mom, to be fair. But when they're sixteen Speaker 2
Kids grow up, dogs don't. Speaker 8
Yeah. Yes. Yes. Exactly. My my so mine is sixteen. She's driving now, but not on her own yet. So it's every time we get in the car can I drive? Can I drive? Can I drive? Speaker 4
Wait. Your dog drives. What? Speaker 3
The kid. Oh. So, Keep keep up, trolley. It's a goat. Speaker 8
Yeah. There's only been a couple times where I tried to hit the the nonexistent brake, you know, that's on the passenger seat. Did you guys have that when you were in school and you were learning? Speaker 8
Yeah. So maybe she doesn't maybe they don't have it now or something, or maybe they just didn't at the school that she was at because she couldn't figure out what I was, like, doing. And I was like, I'm trying to hit the brake. And she's like, you have a break over there? And I was like, no. It's like the imaginary break. I don't know. Yeah. Anyways. What? She did almost hit somebody, and I was like, what the fuck was that? And I was like, I'm sorry. What do you think you did Speaker 3
Good good recovery, Liz. Good recovery. Speaker 8
Yeah. I I felt really bad because you could tell that she was a little freaked out. Speaker 8
then I'm generally pretty calm. Mhmm. I think she likes driving with me better than her dad, but, that that genuinely scared me. It it really did. So, anyways Amazing. Speaker 1
It is not easy, being with a young driver and trying to teach them the ropes. And I don't know about your daughter, but our son, it's like the minute that too many things happen at once, it's like everything it's just like he's taking a bend to go right. There's a stop there's the stoplights, and then people he you have to yield to the other people, and there was a curb, and then he was going too fast. I'm like, slow it down. And I'm saying slow it down, and he's speeding up. And I was like, oh my god. This is this is the moment. This is where this happened. Speaker 8
That's pretty much exactly what happened. And the person in front of her, in front of us, wasn't using their blinker, and they were clearly lost. You know, as someone an experienced driver, you know when someone's lost and trying to figure something out. And so they were kinda, like, driving, and then they all of a sudden turn, and then she swerved, but there was somebody in that lane. Speaker 8
And she she was like, well, he didn't use his blinker. And I'm like, well, you still should have slowed down. You saw that he wasn't going very fast. So that that doesn't mean that you don't slow down. You still have to slow down. I mean, that's like the laws of physics. Right? Two cars can't. Speaker 9
Why you yeah. The the two car lengths between. Right? Speaker 1
Don't tell me. Exactly. Yeah. Speaker 8
I'm like, you didn't need to be, like, that close to him. You know? So, anyways. Yeah. It was it was it wasn't completely her fault because the guy was kinda he did kinda just pull. Anyways, it doesn't even matter. Speaker 3
Well, when you're in a car with a with a young driver, you you you become quite acute at how bad other people are at driving. Speaker 0
sure. Yeah. Yeah. We talked about that go ahead. Speaker 1
Sorry. I I was gonna say and I think too, we take it for granted, like, that we've had so much experience and that we know now. Like, when you see three car lengths ahead that the blinker's on to go into the gas station, everyone's gonna start slowing down. You cannot stay at the same speed. And and to the young driver, it's like, well, I'm continuing on. It's like, no. You have to you have to look everywhere. Like, not just the car length in front of you, but beyond. Speaker 8
It's it's the thinking ahead thing. Yeah. Like, it's a hard concept Mhmm. I think. And, you know, I don't remember. It's been so long since I got my driver's license, but, you know, I I'm sure that we all had to go through that, but you really do. Kinda like, a lot of it becomes automatic, so it becomes easier. Speaker 8
know? So you you can multitask a little bit more easily, but as of right now, it's like yeah. No. Like, I don't even want her to have a map on the you know, like, I always have my little map on the on the screen thing, and Yeah. I'm like, I'll just tell you where Speaker 8
It's fine. We don't go that far. So Yeah. Yeah. It's it's it's it's kinda luck. Speaker 1
It's good luck. It's it's Yeah. Speaker 0
It's a lot. We were even talking about today with Ryan. Like, he's not driving yet. He's only thirteen. But Right. We drive in Toronto, and Toronto drivers are nuts. So I'm already trying to explain to him even though I get him a little aggressive at times. I'm like, don't do what dad does. But it's it's it's defensive driving. I'm like, we have that conversation all the time. Like, you always have to never assume that everyone else around you is doing the right thing. You always have to be looking out for you on the road and anticipating ten steps ahead what the all the cars around you might do at any given moment and be prepared for that. Speaker 2
That's that's usually right, but Al's style is, offensive driving. Speaker 0
And, Al, he's driven with me, and you got that hit. Speaker 8
Well, I do have to check something. Speaker 3
I'm a former pizza boy. I I learned from, you know, I I learned from the school of hard knocks. Go ahead, Liz. Speaker 8
You learned from people trying to steal your pizza Yeah. Chasing you down, trying to get the pizza? Speaker 3
Exactly. He picked Speaker 8
me up from the funny to say, though. Speaker 9
When he picked me up from the airport and drawn out, the windows were down and move, bitch. Get out the way. It was blasting. Speaker 8
That's amazing. So my daughter comes into my room the other night as I was getting ready for bed, and she goes, I was just listening to my podcast, and I I don't know what platform she uses, but she goes, and it finished. And then your podcast came on, and I had been listening to not the produce stand, but, a different one. And so I asked her if that was My Speaker 0
dad wrote a porno. Speaker 8
No. But that I I have not finished that one, but I've listened to most Speaker 8
But no. And she goes it was mister Ballen is who I was listening to. He tells stories. But, anyways, and she goes, no. It's literally the one that you were on. I just heard your voice come on and go, it's called Canadia, or I don't remember that line. But when I say, like, when we're in a skit, it must have been a takeover. Speaker 8
On there. And I thought that was funny because she just doesn't listen to it at all, but it just, like, started playing Speaker 8
I thought that was funny. Speaker 3
Awesome. Good. And did she give you a rating? Did she give you a fresh clearance compost? Speaker 8
Should have asked her, but she thought it was funny. Speaker 3
Better that than embarrassing. Right? Speaker 2
Clearance at minimum. Yeah. Speaker 11
Did you tell her you wrote it? Speaker 3
Yeah. You should've told her you wrote it. Speaker 8
She knows that we do. Oh, okay. Scripts script yeah. So, she does know that we do that when we when we do the things. And sometimes she's sitting here when we do the takeovers, you know, just because she'll show up on a random Thursday. But, yeah, I don't think she's ever actually listened to it on her podcast player. So Speaker 3
Which is probably for the best. Shorzy, what do you what do you wanna see? Speaker 8
I wanna see all the romance. Speaker 3
You're with Chad then. Speaker 8
You're with Chad. The hockey ball stuff, whatever. Speaker 8
Whatever you call it. I don't know. They play a game there. There's ice involved. Speaker 8
They're wearing way too much gear when they play. I'll tell you that. And so, yeah, Laura Moore. But it seemed like last season, all the guys had girlfriends. Right? Yeah. Like, they were all Yep. Kinda yeah. So I really I just I'm in it for the romance. You know, we didn't we didn't get a lot of romance in Letterkenny, and I feel like we're we're getting a little bit more Speaker 3
Yeah. Letterkenny's becoming more like Bridgerton and less like, I don't know. Like not Letterkenny. Shorsey. Shorsey is going Bridgerton. Speaker 8
Yeah. Yeah. Because in Letterkenny, I mean, you had the married folk, but then they were swingers. So I don't feel like they were actually, they were kinda cute together when they were dancing in that one episode. Speaker 0
Yeah. They were. But, Speaker 8
You know, I mean, not not too much romance there, but, yeah, I want the romance. I wanna see what happens with Shorzy and Laura. Speaker 3
I think we all wanna see that. Alright. Speaker 1
He stands for her. Speaker 3
Up up next, Casey. How's it going? That's Casey p wrapped up in her bluey blanket. Speaker 3
She's you're you're muted. You're gonna Speaker 3
That's alright. How have you been? Speaker 12
Yeah? All good. Speaker 3
Anything, exciting happened to you this week? Speaker 0
No. Just the holidays. And I work with retail since it's been busy at work. So Speaker 9
Yeah. It's been busy. Just working. Speaker 3
Are you are you gonna have to work the whole weekend? Speaker 3
Oh, that sucks. I I hope I hope you get, like like, at least, like, triple pay or whatever. Like, no. Come on. Speaker 0
I'm American. We don't do that. Okay. Speaker 3
Oh, man. Retail. Speaker 2
I I love your robe, if that's a robe. Speaker 9
It's a blanket. It has a kitties on it. Speaker 2
Yes. It's it's wondrous. Speaker 3
What, what would you like to see in this season of Shorzy? Speaker 0
I had it. Then he asked. That was what I got. And, I guess can I come back? Can you Speaker 3
Okay. Yeah. No problem. Yeah. Just you can chime in whenever you want. This this, group isn't too polite. We'll move over to Colin then. Colin. Speaker 3
Mister Impulsive Axe, how are you now? Speaker 3
Not so bad. He remembered that. Wow. Well well done. Yeah. So, what what have you success, guys. What have you been working on, that interest? I know you were working on, like, a a a a demolished car and and an epoxy bench. Speaker 6
Bench is done. I got a table underway now in the mold. It's it's all poured and just kinda waiting for that to cure. Speaker 3
Yeah, I talents. Speaker 6
Just just dabbling in this and that. Mhmm. Yeah. The RAV four got hit really hard in the rear end and had to replace, you know, the frame rail in the back and Speaker 3
What was his car? He he works at a body shop. Speaker 1
Oh, okay. I was like, yeah. Speaker 1
That's not good. Yeah. Speaker 6
So when I get big hits like that, I kinda like to post them. So it's still in the shop, still waiting for a couple more parts to wrap it up, but it's ninety percent together. And, Yeah. I got a I got a second cat leash for my one of my cats because I love taking them out inside in the summer, and they're getting used to that. And Speaker 3
So you have you have indoor outdoor cats? Speaker 6
Well, indoor, but I take them outdoor on a leash because I'm weird like that. Because Speaker 6
I have a busy street right in my backyard, so I don't want to wake up and find them splatted one day. Right. That would suck. Speaker 3
So you've been spending time out there? Speaker 4
Well, the cast on Alicia is not that weird. Mine does it too, but he's it's Speaker 10
because he's an idiot. But Speaker 6
It's a safe bet. I got you know? You don't wanna get Speaker 12
Trevor risk leash it leashes his cat. Speaker 6
Yeah. There we go. Speaker 3
That's too Alright. Speaker 0
not That does not normalize that activity. Speaker 4
up. Does. Risk is a risk. So Speaker 2
We did it with Pumpkin for her the first two years, and then we moved. And then she said, I don't need a leash here anymore. It's safe, and and she went without a leash. But, yeah, we did it for the first two years. She was okay with it. Speaker 6
Yeah. I'm sure I could get them to where they wouldn't go anywhere, but I don't know. Speaker 3
I don't know if I ever Speaker 6
Still peace of mind. Speaker 3
They'll go wherever they wanna go. Speaker 6
Yeah. It's true. Speaker 3
Very cool. Now you are in Canada. Have you have you been able to watch any of the Shores yet? Speaker 6
I haven't watched them yet. No. Oh, Speaker 6
got it. I got it. They're they're queued up, ready to go. Yeah. But, you know, did this first. Speaker 3
Very cool. Well, thanks for waiting. What would you like to see this season? Speaker 6
I'd like to see a little bit more hardship, a little bit more failure in the team, like, you know, lose a game Mhmm. Have some have a challenge. Right? And I wanna I wanna see Shorzy grow as, like, you know, be legit with his feelings towards Laura Moore, and she has to help him work through the the troubles of the team failing kinda thing. Something like that. Speaker 3
Alright. I'm I'm on the same yeah. I'm on the same boat as you. Like, if they're always winning, then there's there's no there's no stakes. There's no hardship. There's no, growth for sure. But, case is reminding us, this team will never lose again. Alright. Very cool. Well, thank you for joining us tonight. And, yeah, let's move on to Jeff. Our buddy, Jeff. How's it going? Speaker 7
you now? Good. And you? Not so bad. Morning. Speaker 7
I am not there yet, but I am so ready to be there. So, now, I mean, still, you know, looking forward to our Canada trip. We got probably about ten, eleven days out from leaving. Trying to talk I think I'm gonna get the Monday before off. So, initially, we're leaving on Tuesday, the fourth. I think I'm gonna be off on that Monday, and I'm gonna see if I can't get Jared Marcus to maybe, you know, leave a day early. So we'll see. We'll see. Give us an extra day somewhere, either Ottawa, Sudbury, or Toronto. But worried about, I'm the one who gets to do all of the, I don't know, planning for everything. So, right now, I'm worried about, we're gonna make a stop in Montreal and kinda worried about a, the parking situation because it's, like, right in the heart of the city. Speaker 3
Yeah. Parking down there isn't, fun. Speaker 7
Yeah. Yeah. That's that's what I've heard, and especially when, you know, ninety percent of the signs are gonna be in French. That could that could cause a little bit of a of concern, but, it is what it is. We'll figure it out. I'll get the logistics worked out, I think. Speaker 9
Find a garage just outside of downtown and just take an Uber. Speaker 7
Yeah. Just I mean, that's what we're thinking, but we weren't gonna be in town for that long. So it almost seemed like it'd be kinda kinda pointless. I mean, literally, it was to stop at one place and Right. And that was it. But, anyway, you know, we'll figure it out. Got, Victor mentioned the zoo earlier, and, we're actually we've got that on our Toronto bucket list. So Nice. I think we're gonna hit the the zoo and the CN Tower because it turns out the zoo is only, like, ten minutes from our hotel. So Speaker 3
okay. Which where are you where's your hotel? Because Scarborough. Oh, okay. Yeah. Speaker 7
Yeah. I was gonna say Speaker 3
Ten minutes here. Toronto Zoo is a misnomer. It's not in Toronto. It's yeah. Speaker 0
It's it's Yeah. Actually, most of it's with the word Toronto aren't in Toronto. Yeah. Yeah. Speaker 2
It's it's closer to Pickering, than miss than Scarborough even. Speaker 7
Well, I mean, it's it's showing ten minutes from the hotel on on Google Maps, so I'm gonna Yeah. Speaker 2
If you floor it. Speaker 1
Yeah. Either way. If you don't hit rush hour Speaker 2
go with with offensive driving. Yes. Speaker 3
You can go you can go sit on the Victor Sherman memorial bench in front of the hippo. Speaker 2
Exhibit. Actually, it's funny that you say that because in front of the hippo exhibit, there is a hippo you can sit on. Speaker 2
all of my kids and myself photographed on Speaker 2
it will be fun for you to take a photograph on that hippo. Speaker 1
Oh, if you guys are going to Toronto, you have to go to Roadie Hut. Sorry. I just have to throw that out there. Speaker 0
Yeah. And, Victor, you keep referring to Al's driving as offensive. Riley, what did you just say to me? Offensive driving. Al offensive driving is what he Speaker 0
We're now dubbing it that. Speaker 3
Yeah. I'm good with that. And confirm. I mean, Speaker 7
you spent us around the city there. The when the night mark is not getting Speaker 3
As as much speeding we can do in in Toronto on a on a Friday night. Yeah. Speaker 10
When a Blue Jays game just got out. Speaker 7
It was efficient. It was very efficient. So Yeah. No. I mean, other than that, I've been, I've been having a lot of fun doing, just walking lately. Like, it was one of my Yeah. Speaker 3
You've been sharing a lot of, pictures. Yeah. Speaker 7
Yeah. And, I discovered Speaker 11
Good job. Yeah. Speaker 7
On Wednesday, I went down to Belfast, which is about thirty thirty miles from from my place. It's down on the coast. And I've been down there a couple of weeks ago when I'd done the their harbor walk. And, I was informed by one of my customers at work who lived down there that if I went in the opposite direction, there's a beautiful trail. Speaker 7
So I went down. It's the Belfast Rail Trail. And, yeah, I knew Victor would perk up. No railroad tracks there anymore, Victor. Speaker 7
them all up and turned it into a gorgeous just hiking, walking trail. And I end up doing my goal is usually get, like, just a couple miles in a day, and I end up getting, like, four in that day back and forth. It's just a gorgeous trail out to nature. And then the next night, which would have been last night, the total opposite experience. I've been hiking a lot in the city forest here in Bangor. And, I got out last night, and, we had we had heavy thunderstorms throughout the day, and the trails were a little wet. And so I instead of, taking my normal trail, which is, you know, a little over two mile loop, I decided, oh, I'm gonna stick to the main road. Well, I did my normal trail for a little bit and realized there's just puddles all over the place. So I'm gonna get back out to one of the dirt roads that loops around and, somehow ended up getting lost, taking a wrong turn, something. I don't know. There's signs. There's signs. I could read the signs. Did I read the signs? No. I didn't read the signs. Speaker 3
Clogged up the scenery breaking your mind. Go on. Speaker 7
So well, I mean, here it is. It's the problem okay. So it's I usually get out there, about quarter of eight. The sun sets here just a little after eight, and it gets really dark after eight thirty, and that's when the the the forest technically closes. And I took this wrong turn, and I finally come up to a sign. And I was like that I am in the exact opposite. I'm about as far from the parking lot as you could possibly get in the city forest. Speaker 3
You weren't on, like, a walking trail or hiking trail, were you? Because that that happens to us in Sudbury. Speaker 7
Yeah. They're oh my god. No. This is I mean, this is forest forest. Forest I mean, there are no houses. It's it was I mean, no lights. No nothing. I forgot my headlamp. I usually have a headlamp that I take. Nope. Forgot it. So I ended up, using my phone's flashlight to get me back to the car. What turn was supposed to be, like, a one, a two point one five mile walk ended up being closer to four miles. And, yeah, the last the last mile of it was completely in the dark, just my flashlight leading leading the way. Not something you really I mean, I I was a little scared. Not gonna lie. I mean, you're middle of nowhere, middle of the forest. Speaker 2
Are there animal sounds? Speaker 7
Oh, yeah. Animal sounds all around. I mean, it's mostly the peepers. And luckily up there, there's nothing, nothing too bad that can that can get you, but, no, normally. But you never know. I mean, you're in the woods. So Speaker 0
Jeff, I'm a little concerned for you. I mean, you're you're worried about coming to Montreal and reading signs in French, but you're not even reading the English ones where you are. Speaker 0
So I don't know how to help you here, bud. American. American. Yep. Speaker 7
Yep. That's exactly it. It's the problem that Fuck Speaker 3
Yeah. The signs that Speaker 0
don't need your fucking signs. Speaker 7
The signs that they have, like, it's, there there there's numerous trails in this one area. And if you look at the sign, you kinda have to be standing in the right direction in order to interpret like, oh, okay. So this path goes this way and this path goes that way because a lot of them are set at the intersections like six paths. So, you know, sometimes it can be a crapshoot. For me, it was just a case of I needed to go right, and I told myself that if I went left, it would take me right eventually, and no it didn't. Speaker 3
We've been watching Pixar Cars Speaker 11
too. That's not how Speaker 1
to record anymore. Go right. Speaker 10
Yeah. Don't turn Speaker 2
left. In the mirror at Speaker 0
I know. I know. Do you guys Do you Speaker 1
guys have, the we have the thing where you can have it on your phone. It's like a GPS where you can walk the trail, and it will tell you. Speaker 11
Well, he needed a flashlight to hear. Speaker 0
I needed to follow the sign. Speaker 3
One thing or not. He's not following signs. What makes you think he's gonna follow a GPS? Speaker 1
It can talk to you. Speaker 11
It'll talk to you. Speaker 1
It could be yeah. It could be your, like, walking partner, Tyrone, right now. Speaker 12
you made it out. Right. Speaker 3
we're we're glad you survived that that ordeal. Speaker 3
Now That's right. Well done, Riley. I don't know if Speaker 7
you can see it on here. Probably not. Speaker 0
Does have the GPS? Speaker 7
Yeah. Yeah. That's my Strava app. Mhmm. And I use this constantly. And so the the the the little the loop that's down here, this one Yeah. That's the one I normally take. This one up here is all the extra walking that Speaker 1
So That's what that's fair. Wrong. It didn't, like, chime at you? Rerouting. Speaker 0
No. No. No. It doesn't Speaker 7
it doesn't do that. It just pretty much tracks my time and distance and elevation. Speaker 11
needs a find your phone on your dead body. They'll Speaker 3
He needs a map that'll nag him. It's like, I told you to turn over there. You didn't turn over there. Now look what you're doing. Now you're going. Speaker 1
The you need to up you need to send a message to the app builder and say, you have, like, something that you can add to this Speaker 5
app. Right. Yeah. Next time, Speaker 2
use Waze instead instead of Strava or Stradivore. Speaker 3
It's Stradivore it's called. Speaker 12
That will have the best true crime episode ever. Speaker 7
You would think that that, you know, on one of the signs, they'd have, hey. If you need assistance, call this number. Speaker 1
No. No. That was it. Speaker 8
Casey, we could start a new podcast. It'll be, our own, like, produce stand murder podcast. Like, only murders in the podcast? Only murders in produce stand? Speaker 3
So speaking of true crime podcasts, isn't it? Speaker 1
I wanna say, though, to the trail. We were we were on a trail, and, there was no sign. It was just markings on the tree, and it went from blue and white markings to all of a sudden we were in red markings. Yeah. Before we, we didn't even realize that it had changed colors until we were, like, very far in and it's like, okay. You know what? This doesn't feel like Speaker 3
to get the phones out. Yeah. Right? The phones don't lie. Speaker 3
Oh, true crime. There's there's a new, True Crime podcast. It's a it's a Canadian podcast called Sorry About the Murder. It's hilarious. Speaker 3
It is hilarious. It's called Sorry About the Murder. There's only, like, three episodes so far. Story. But it's not true crime. Sorry. It's a fictional, podcast, and it's about this I Speaker 0
called opposite of true crime. Speaker 3
This town this it's a Speaker 6
crime Literally. Speaker 3
It's a crime podcast. Speaker 3
There's a town called Beavermont, and the local Zamboni and there's, like, a a a too many like, many murders happen in this small town, and the local Zamboni driver is the one who solves the murders or something like that. It's hilarious. Speaker 8
Say it again. Sorry about the murder. Speaker 3
Yeah. Sorry about the murder. Sorry. Okay. Following it. It's pretty funny. Sorry. Oh, Jeff. Shorzy. Speaker 7
What do I want from the new season? I want, I want more of Shorzy's family. Speaker 7
want more big sexy. Speaker 7
There was not enough big sexy in season two. Speaker 1
We need big sexy. Speaker 0
Big sexy is a parrot. Okay. Okay. Just had to explain had to kidsplain. Speaker 3
And he and he says this all the time. Just in case you Speaker 7
And, I want more more Ted Hitchcock. I don't think I don't think we get enough Hitch. Mhmm. And I I want more new places to visit in Sudbury, so I've got another excuse to go back next year. Speaker 3
Oh, okay. Alright then. Now in this podcast, we've had many things happen during these ag hauls. We've had people folding laundry. We've had people joining from their cars on their way somewhere. We even had somebody join us once from the hospital, although I can't remember whether that that was an ag hauler or an after party. But right now, we're we're watching Jez, removing tile from his his bathroom shower. Speaker 1
He's done multiple things. He's played cards. He's gone to the hardware store, and now we're back in the showering. Speaker 0
It's crazy. He's barely removed any tiles, though, so Speaker 1
I don't know what he's doing Speaker 3
What were those tiles? Were those the tiles applied with crazy glue or something? Speaker 10
Some some level of concrete that's that's, yeah, sticking to it like like shit. So, Speaker 10
and fun, but getting there. Bit by bit. Speaker 3
So I I'd ask you what you what you've been up to, but it looks like you're up to your neck and renovations. Speaker 10
I'm up to I'm up to about my twentieth tile of a hundred and fifty. So Speaker 0
of a deal. Feels easier just to remove Speaker 1
than throw the new one. Speaker 11
No. The drywall the drywall goes a lot quicker. Speaker 3
Yeah. It does. Petrol Speaker 10
and match? It's just no. It's it's, I don't know. It is also demolition, so there is something cathartic about it as well of just smashing stuff. So Speaker 10
It's it's pretty good, but I've I've found, a mate who I caught up with last night who's actually got a tool to to do the rest of it. So, I'm just more doing a kind of cleaning and prepping setup. But so yeah. It's it's this is the only bit I've kind of been involved on. The the ones who've done all the preparation of getting everything sorted and getting all of the what's going in. So, yeah, she's she's done all the hard work. I just come in and do the demolition stuff. So but, yeah, it's been it's been good. Speaker 3
Very good. Now have you had any good feedback from your episode last week? Yeah. Well, Speaker 10
a lot of the, the degens kinda hit us up saying that they enjoyed it, which is is good. So I I mentioned it to some few people at work thinking, you know, they might think it's kind of exciting that I came on a podcast. It's, you know, data analysis and, you know, that No. Felt pretty pretty flat. Speaker 3
like so we're gonna have it. Speaker 0
Hanging with the wrong class. Speaker 1
Just a second. You confessed that you were were not working and, did data sheets instead? Speaker 10
No. I oh, no. All the the analysis stuff I did in my own time, I wasn't I wasn't doing that at work. And and I'm whilst I was technically working when I was on the podcast, Speaker 3
I You don't need to admit it, man. You don't you don't need to admit it. We don't wanna get you in trouble. Speaker 1
You know, podcasting in someone's spare time led to a career in it. So maybe your data sheet Speaker 1
Is gonna lead you to a new career choice in, data sheet spreadsheet things. Speaker 10
Maybe. Or or demolition or Speaker 1
Or demolition. Something. Demolition is is very awesome. Speaker 10
So But but I'll I'll kinda jump back in terms of how my kind of week went because, last night and I think I think I posted it in the sports ball talk. I went to watch an AFL game. A mate of mine had, three tickets, so a few of the guys I haven't caught up in a while went and watched, play Collingwood. So it was meant to be a good game. I didn't support either of those teams. Ended up being a draw, so it worked out perfectly for for me. Speaker 10
good to catch up with some some mates. We just happened to be here afterwards, and and we're talking about streaming services and which ones are good and bad and all that stuff. And and one of the guys, I haven't caught up in a while, just turned around and he goes, you know what? You should go back to to SBS on Demand. There is this brilliant show on there. It's a Canadian show, and I'm okay. Tell tell tell me more. Oh, brilliant. I'm only up to season four, but it's absolutely brilliant. It's so witty. It's so funny, and then it's all the fights and the music. Oh, okay. Okay. And he just let him rant for about ten minutes on how good Lerdich Kenny was, and I was like, oh, yeah. Okay. So where where are you up to? He's like, oh, this. Actually on a podcast last week about about Letter Kenny. I I never thought being on a podcast would have somebody be be kinda starstruck. So, yeah, turns out and and he's, he's actually one of the guys coming around, help us in help us ping us out this afternoon. So, Muzz, shout out to to you for for helping us out. Speaker 3
Perfect. Awesome. Welcome to the Letterkenny universe. That's amazing. And well represented there, Jez. Now in terms of Shorzy, what what would you like? And by the way, do you know when Shorzy will be released in Australia? Have they said? Is it same time as Hulu or or later? Speaker 10
I don't know. I mean, check it up on on SBS. I when I looked last week, it hadn't even come up as one of the things being released. So I'm presuming it's a fair way down the line. Although, Melvor Jack said that when when this happened for, I think, season ten, they didn't mention it. And then as soon as it came out in the US, I think they dropped it in, in as well. So, yeah, hopefully, probably same time as US, but Speaker 9
or two, and sometimes it's a month. I there is no rhyme or reason. But because they did just switch distributors, I don't know what kind of new deal they've worked out. Okay. Speaker 3
Now in terms of New Shorzy, what do you wanna see? Speaker 10
So very on much with what Colin said before in terms of, a bit of hardship and actually losing a game and and kind of battling there. I think last season was was good in building character development, but I kind of they want everything. And if they keep down that path, it's I mean, not gonna be as interesting. So having them go through, Yeah. A bit bit of hardship would be interesting. Character development for the other guys, the other players, and seeing more of Shawzy's family. That's what I'm looking forward to. Speaker 3
Nice. Casey has to remind us again. This team will never lose again. Thank you, Casey. Before we move on to, to Josh, Matt, I gotta ask, what did what did Riley just put on your microphone stand? Because that looks all sorts of Riley? Not right. Speaker 0
I think I've talked before. Why don't you explain what this is, Riley? Explain to the fans of listeners. What that is. Then what is it? Speaker 12
It's penis koozie. Speaker 0
Yes. That's exactly what it is. Speaker 0
is. Yeah. That was my, what, Father's Day present last year? Yeah. Yeah. You got your penis koozie? Yeah. He he and I Speaker 12
You don't remember that, Chase? Speaker 0
He didn't no. He made it. He made you a penis. He made me. Penis good. Speaker 6
It looks really wonderful. On the mic. Speaker 0
It does. He was really proud of himself. He whispered over. He's like, it's perfect. Mhmm. But, like, it looks great. Like, so if he goes sideways and I drink from beer, dude. Speaker 1
She'll be to cut the ball. Speaker 3
I am totally releasing that as a gift. You Speaker 9
dad send me that pattern, please.
Speaker 9
I need that pattern.
Speaker 3
And yeah. Awesome wants to
Speaker 0
cut you to get the your mom must have found that pattern. Right? Well, I mean, she just showed me what to do, and I just did it.
Speaker 3
Yeah. So you crocheted your father a a a beer koozie with With
Speaker 0
with the help of my ex. So it's like an ongoing joke from all angles here. Yes. Good job.
Speaker 1
Yeah. It looks amazing.
Speaker 3
Well done. Well done.
Speaker 0
It's pretty it's pretty
Speaker 12
Love it. Love it.
Speaker 3
Josh, how's it going, bud? I see you're you're not in your car anymore. You're at home, and you've got a the background of us and Camilla Koal in, the vintage store in Sudbury. So let's talk about that since you were there. What did you think of that first video drop?
Speaker 14
Well, the more I watched it, the more I just had to laugh. Mhmm. I didn't realize they actually had video of my phone falling out of my pocket Amazing.
Speaker 0
Jumped Jumped in the air.
Speaker 14
The more I watch it, I'm like, really? You can see my phone just slowly tumble to the ground. My wife found that rather amusing.
Speaker 14
But, no. It it made me remember our whole trip.
Speaker 14
I started watching it and, like, oh, yeah. I remember doing that. I remember doing that and, made me miss hanging out with everybody and wanting to go back and do it again. I mean, I'm I'm ready to go now, but I can't.
Speaker 3
That's so sad. What it was so we've been up to?
Speaker 14
And work and work and some more work.
Speaker 14
Everything's been crazy for work. Some nights, I'm not done with work until nine o'clock at night, and I start at seven in the morning here lately. So
Speaker 3
You sound like Tanya. Yeah. Stop that. Both of you. Stop it.
Speaker 14
Well, yeah. The the joys of, coming through bankruptcy, coming out of bankruptcy, being bought, being split, being sold, being merged
Speaker 14
And, being in IT and then being involved in every step of that the whole way making it happen. So Being sold. Been interesting. In fact, I have all we have this weekend off, and then next weekend, it's, all hands on deck. We're working the entire weekend. Probably UK stuff will start at, like, three AM, and we'll start start doing stuff from three AM until we can't stay awake any longer, and then we start in with the Australia and China sites and all that stuff overnight. So
Speaker 14
It could be a long few weeks here coming up soon, but, looking forward to my next time off in June. I get a week off for vacation, so that'll be fun.
Speaker 3
Enjoy it. Yeah. And speaking of which, I guess we lost Trolley. I guess he he fell off. But,
Speaker 0
she's busy. The trolley. Yeah. Fell off the trolley. That's right.
Speaker 3
Now in terms of, Shorzy season three, what are your hopes and dreams?
Speaker 14
Honestly, I haven't really thought about it a whole lot, but, like everybody said, I would definitely like to see more of Shorzy's family. I think, those are some of my favorite episodes watching him interact with his family. I sit there and think, okay. Maybe my family is not quite so bad. But, no. Definitely that. Of course, it's always always good to see Shorzy with, Laura Moore too. But, yeah, definitely more of the, ice polo that they have going on there. And I'm seeing some more of that too.
Speaker 3
Ice polo. You mean the hockey?
Speaker 14
Yeah. It's some sort of sport.
Speaker 0
Uh-huh. It's a polo.
Speaker 3
That's enough. I don't know.
Speaker 14
Was for I had to do that for Matt.
Speaker 0
So I appreciate you, bud.
Speaker 3
Alright. Well, thanks for joining us tonight. Let's, let's go over to Edmonton and talk to our buddy Jay in Edmonton. Or before we do that, I guess, Tammy
Speaker 1
I wanted to share with Riley. I too made a
Speaker 0
It What does that do? Speaker 1
It wasn't supposed to be. Speaker 2
A lot more than what the nursing does. Speaker 1
It wasn't supposed to be, Riley. This was Like Speaker 0
an Amish condom. Speaker 1
This was supposed to be a leg, for a pair of pants for one of my daughter's stuffies. And then as I was finishing up the leg, I realized that it looked more like a penis sock. So I just left it and made, the pants. Speaker 3
Jay Jay, I saw that comment. Speaker 1
I don't Fuck you. I I don't go by patterns. I go with what is in my head. Speaker 3
She goes by measurement. Speaker 1
And apparently, that was what was in my head. And I I and so I just left it because I thought it was darn funny. So that is, I just thought we were sharing, and I thought I'd share that with you. There you go. Speaker 5
wanna come on now. Speaker 3
Smart ass Jay there. How have you been, bud? Speaker 5
been really good. Yeah. Keep been busy. And, like, I'm not sure if you guys are aware, but, like, the the NHL playoffs are still going. Speaker 3
Yeah. But oh, so what's the, what's the status of your Edmonton Oilers? Speaker 5
Third round, one game one. Speaker 2
And double overtime. Speaker 5
Yeah. Double overtime. We're up one nothing. So Speaker 3
Who are they playing now? Speaker 3
Oh, so they got past Speaker 13
Rangers are tied one one. Region. Speaker 3
You got past Vancouver. Speaker 5
the Rangers win tonight? Speaker 13
No. They're tied one one, about to end the second. Oh, okay. Speaker 3
So Oh, that's right. Speaker 13
They need to win tonight, though. So Yeah. For sure. Speaker 3
Somebody was complaining they weren't joining because the game was on. Who was that? Anyway Speaker 3
Oh, Tom. That's right. Yeah. Well, look. I'm cheering for you. I want I want Edmonton to win now. So But Speaker 2
only because they're the last Canadian team standing. Speaker 3
Yeah. For sure. Yeah. Oh, well done. And and, I mean, I like I like to see the best players in the league win. Speaker 2
And there's a bunch of former Leafs on the team. So Speaker 3
Sure. Whatever. But, I mean, I wouldn't mind seeing Connor Connor. Speaker 0
Wouldn't argument say that whoever does win is the best players in the Speaker 2
league? There's only two okay. Two and a half best players on Speaker 2
You know, Connor, and and out of nowhere, you know, Bouchard who's, all of a sudden a superstar defenseman. But the rest of the team are a bunch of plugs. Speaker 5
And But, like, like, like, fifty six goal score. Is that Hyman? Speaker 2
Okay. Hyman, you know, you got lucky with him. Speaker 3
He still scored fifty six goals this season? Speaker 5
He actually scored sixty two, but he had six disallowed. Speaker 2
Yeah. He he did. And every single one of those, McDavid assisted on. But anyway Doesn't matter. Speaker 2
Matthews. I'm not taking anything away from Hyman, but fine. I'll I'll give you Hyman. That's fine. The rest of the team are a bunch of plugs. But if you watch the game, you'll notice that McDavid and Bryce, they're never off the ice. They're always on the ice. Sure. I don't understand how Speaker 3
it would be. It's how they're gonna win. It's the only way they can win. Excuse my ignorance. I guess is Colorado, out now? Speaker 5
They got knocked out. Lost the Dells. Speaker 3
Oh, okay. Sorry there, Joey. I'm, I I my you know? Speaker 2
They got their cup a couple years ago. Speaker 3
I know. But still, I'm like, I was cheered around. I was cheering for Colorado just for Joey's sake, but now yeah. No. I'm I'm on Speaker 3
I'm on the Edmonton bandwagon. So, Jay, I'm cheering for you guys. Speaker 13
I don't think anybody would no one would argue with an Edmonton Rangers, Stanley Cup. Speaker 5
Yeah. That would be awesome. Yeah. Speaker 0
That would be awesome. I don't Speaker 2
think the Rangers will beat Florida, though. Speaker 0
it. I mean, I can imagine. That that probably doesn't happen down in the states. Speaker 13
Root for the devils. Speaker 0
Like like, here if, like, the lead not not that I'm a sports guy. I don't know if you guys knew that. But, if, like, the Leafs go out, immediately every Canadian's like, well, what other Canadian team is left? And they're like, hey. I should cheer for them. Mhmm. But in the US, it's mainly US teams. So if your team's out of you, like, fuck the rest of the league. Like, how how does that mentality work? Does it transfer over to No. Speaker 3
In the US, if your team's out, you just stop paying attention to hockey. Speaker 2
You you start watching tennis. That's what Speaker 3
I'm getting at. Watching basketball or or baseball. Speaker 7
You start rooting for the the team that that's gonna go up against the team that knocked your team out. Speaker 0
Right now, anybody who spiteful cheering. Got it. Speaker 2
Actually, right now, something cool could happen Speaker 2
Something cool could happen where Dallas wins both the NBA and the NHL. Speaker 3
No. Thanks. I don't wanna see that happen. Speaker 2
It could happen. Speaker 0
Bruins beats, Florida. Speaker 3
Jay, how have you been? Speaker 5
Good. Yeah. That's good. In Edmonton, though, we wouldn't I don't necessarily just switch allegiance to the next Canadian team. Like, I think I'd rather, like, the league fold than Toronto ever winning. Speaker 0
Oh, what about Calgary? Really? Speaker 2
You wouldn't switch to Calgary? Speaker 5
No. Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto, no way. If If it was Winnipeg, Ottawa, or Montreal, I probably would cheer for them. Speaker 3
Montreal? Really? Why? Why Montreal? Speaker 5
have nothing against them, I guess. Oh. Speaker 5
typically would cheer for the team that beat my team because then I can pretend that maybe we would've won if it wasn't for them. Speaker 3
Them. Right. Okay. Speaker 0
I get that. So you're taking more of the American approach here in Speaker 3
What what are your hopes in James for for Shorzy? Speaker 5
Like most people said, like, I I wanna see more of his family. That's a lot of fun every year that they do that. Speaker 5
I think the main thing I wanna see is is setting up Shorzy, the character, for what he's gonna do when he's done taking a victory lap through well shit. Speaker 5
Like, what's what's fifty year old sure is he gonna be doing? Mhmm. And I wanna kinda see him moving towards that eventuality. Speaker 3
He'll be he'll be hitting up the singles at the old age home. Speaker 3
good. Alright. Well, thanks for joining us tonight, bud. Now looking like he's joining us, you know, lie on CNN live from some, like, I don't know. It looks like a live CNN feed is, our buddy, Mike Benelli there. You have some Beirut. Speaker 13
I'm live from the pool area because there was all kinds of yelling going on inside. So Oh. That little cute seven year old, she's having a rough bedtime. Speaker 13
know? Last couple of months, she's had a real bedtime situation. Speaker 13
So I came out to the pool area Mhmm. Because it's quiet. And, so I'm outside, and it's nice out here. Speaker 0
Yeah. Looks like a sleepy time like a little chloroform. Speaker 13
Well, you know what? She we used to do melatonin, but you don't wanna do that forever. Mhmm. So we've done, like, a magnesium rub on the feet. Like, magnesium on the feet is a good thing. So right now, we're trying the Amazon story times that she can just lay in bed and listen to them. That seems to be working for a little bit. But we it's getting her to the room is the issue. It's not once she's up there. You know? Speaker 3
Just put on an episode of yes we were open. She'll fall Speaker 0
asleep right in in Here Speaker 1
it's on the call map. Yeah. Well, South Shore Tones. Speaker 0
Yeah. Okay. Good. Speaker 13
But, otherwise, it's been a it's been an interesting week. Speaker 13
Interesting time. We're doing you know, we're deep into Little League, two at least two games a week. And last night, we got really lucky because the little one was playing her her softball game, Speaker 13
is really you know, it's coach pitch first years for seven year olds. And she's coming along, and she got the MVP ring last night. Speaker 13
A little MVP ring on the chain. We did not get her a stick. We came home and had dinner. But, she's coming along. You know? She was not not into it in the beginning, and now she is much more so. So we're happy about that. The the boy, he's pitching, like, mop up duty. Right? They they bring him in when when they're when they need a couple innings, an innings eater to come in. Speaker 13
That's And he's never really pitched much before. Speaker 13
Can he bring the heat? He he he brings the medium heat. You know? It's not it's not the, it's not anything the starting, the two guys that mostly pitch. Speaker 13
But he he's never pitched before. It's two times. Speaker 13
So he's pretty excited, but he's he's better in the infield. The last thing we were lucky because their games were at adjacent fields. Mhmm. So we could stand in the outfield of his game and watch, her game also her thing. So that was good. We didn't have to split, which is nice. Speaker 13
School school's been going well. I had I made a few enemies this week with student council elections Speaker 13
Because the, we had our elections on Wednesday into Thursday for next year, and there's, like, twenty something kids that want to run for the various positions. And, you know, one of the rules is you have to have your your speech in at a certain time because I have to review the speeches, make sure they're not gonna be, you know, crazy. Speaker 13
couple kids didn't get their speeches in on time, and I I had to take a hard line with, like, you're no. You're not gonna run because you didn't get it. So I made a couple of enemies of some boys and Speaker 3
Did they start saying, this is a witch hunt, and they're out to get me? Speaker 13
No. It was it was more like, come on. You can't do this to me. I'm like, I'm not doing it to you. Like, I can't let you in and not someone else. Speaker 13
anyway, it all it all kinda worked out. You know? We we figured it out, and they're not happy, but they're you know? I don't think they're gonna complain too much. And then I got I I got an extended weekend because I got the stomach bug, Speaker 3
which I was gonna say I was excited for you until yeah. Speaker 13
It kills me because we get paid for our our unused sick days. Speaker 13
And to use one with less than, you know, a month to go in school, I was like, I don't wanna use a sick day because I'm gonna get paid for that day if I don't use it, and then I had to use it. So I broke my throw up streak. My puke streak was seven years, and I finally I broke that, unfortunately. Speaker 3
Wow. The fact that you have a streak, that's that's impressive. Speaker 13
Yeah. No. I I got a Jerry streak. I'm I'm I'm Speaker 3
kinda the same as Speaker 3
My I I think my streak is probably at least ten years, if not more. Yeah. Speaker 13
Yeah. I could tell you the exact day. My wife was pregnant with our youngest. Mhmm. And four of us four of us in the house, we ate at a Mexican restaurant in Freehold, New Jersey. I can't remember the name, but don't eat there. And she got she got violently ill first. I I got it, and then our son got it. And our oldest daughter who never gets sick, she's got, like, the best health ever Yeah. Was just, like, at the time, like, five and on her own. We're like, you're on your own kid because none of us could even get off the couches that we were on. But my wife was pregnant. So every time she puked, the baby would go up and down. Like, she could feel it, and it was like she said that was the worst feeling ever. Oh. But that's why I can put a date on it because I remember vividly all of us being out. Speaker 3
Oh, tell me. Can I put a date? Moment, Mike. Yeah. Speaker 1
Yours yours was Mexico, and you and you, violently Speaker 3
Threw threw up my tooth. Speaker 1
He threw up his tooth. Speaker 1
And and it was and the toilet was clogged. And I'm, how did you clog the toilet? What's in the toilet? And then I'm, like, where's your tooth? And the tooth was gone. And I'm looking in the toilet, and he's like, what are you looking in the toilet for? I'm not putting it back in my mouth. Like, even if you find it, that is not true. Speaker 3
I believe the words I used was there's not enough bleach on the planet. I'm Speaker 1
sixteen hundred dollars. I might No. Speaker 0
Six hundred. Anyway. Whatever. Speaker 1
Yeah. It was like yeah. Speaker 3
at me as if, like, I'm gonna reach into that, pull the tooth out, brush wash it off, and put it back Speaker 1
in my mouth. Mexico tries to kill me and take him out too. Speaker 0
Anyway Yeah. Mexican restaurant. Speaker 13
It didn't not it didn't put me off Mexican food. I still Speaker 3
love Mexican food. Speaker 1
Love I still love it too. Speaker 3
Shorzy, what do you wanna do? What what do you want from Shorzy? Speaker 13
Well, I mean, everyone's pretty much covered everything. The only thing I I I would like that I haven't heard much of is I wanna see the, Ted Pam relationship because he he seemed very earnest about that at the end of the season. And she came around. I think she she understood that. And, you know, we talk about Shorzy's age, but Ted is is old. He's old as well. Speaker 3
You think he's older than Shorzy? Speaker 13
I mean, in in life, he is Speaker 3
Yeah. Like, I know in Speaker 4
real but I mean, Speaker 3
on the show, I just He Speaker 13
just he looks he looks older than I don't know. Maybe he's not supposed to be. But Yeah. Speaker 3
I don't know. Like, I'm Speaker 12
Well, I think I Speaker 9
mean has dark so you can see the silver coming in. Speaker 9
But so you can't see any silver. Speaker 3
Yeah. So I'm just wondering if if character wise, whether Shorzy is supposed to be the oldest on the team or whether Hitch is allowed to be older than Shorzy. Because if this if this whole thing about him, you know, feeling older and and and all the aging jokes and stuff keep on happening, will he be able to, you know, lean on, hitch for advice, or whatever. Right? Or or Yeah. Who knows? But Speaker 13
yeah. That relationship seemed like, you know, it they they kinda teased it for a while. Mhmm. Speaker 13
then it it came about in the last episode. And I thought, you know what? That's he was very serious about not wanting to fool around Speaker 13
Play the field anymore. So that's something. The other thing I mean, more Lawrence Laboeuf, obviously. Mhmm. But, the other thing is I thought with this team, with all the teams coming, like, maybe we would get the native team from Letterkenny and get a pop in from from, Tannis, but I don't that's not gonna happen. So Speaker 3
that was my That would that would have been fun too. Yeah. Speaker 13
Yeah. I don't know. I can't remember how involved she was with the native team Speaker 13
the end, but I think she was still, like, involved. Speaker 3
I thought she was Is she on the right Yeah. She on Eagles. Speaker 9
Yeah. She's the owner of with the Eagles. Yeah. Speaker 13
what I thought. So I was like, this might be a great way to get Tannis back just for, you know, one episode, a couple of shots, but I don't think so. So Yeah. Oh, well. Speaker 3
Nice. Well, thanks for joining us from, Sarajevo there, Mike. We'll move on to Casey. Speaker 3
Good. You're you're you're very mellow right now. Speaker 12
Yeah, ma'am. I have to be. It's been a ride. Speaker 3
How have you been? I I know I've Speaker 3
Some some some fun stuff has happened to you this past, few weeks. Do you wanna talk about it? Speaker 12
Well, yeah, I've been busy. Yeah. So there's been a so this semester was probably my busiest at work. Mhmm. Speaker 12
had two major events that I ran, and I just had my last day of seven straight workdays of conferencing and training, like, full days where I'm part of the training team. Speaker 12
And that's just a different it's it's new for me to be doing that. Speaker 3
It's not training. Victor, what is it? It's Speaker 2
Skilling and reskilling. Speaker 3
There you go. Skilling and reskilling. I don't know. Speaker 0
Away from the word training? Speaker 3
Yeah. I don't know. Yeah. Speaker 0
Yeah. Settle down. Just Speaker 1
That doesn't make any sense Speaker 2
for you. Skill because skills are the new crowd. Speaker 0
I understand the skill from a normal perspective. Just from a Speaker 12
fit just for the doing Yeah. We were doing legit rater training. So, like, an assessment, you have to do rater training because you have fidelity and you have all of these things you have to worry about when you're doing qualitative research. So one two days were in fact trainings. And then this week, institute that we host is a couple of trainings alongside some pedagogical, things. So don't you worry about it, Victor. You settle down. We're scaling and reselling them. Speaker 2
Pedagogical three more times so Riley doesn't, fall asleep. Speaker 12
honest. So that's that that's been the work life. That's been good. And then the kids are doing great. Judah was in a play and then quit a play, and I was really proud of him because it wasn't making him happy anymore. Speaker 12
I was like, okay. Well, we don't have to do this. If this isn't making you happy, we don't have to do this anymore. So he made a good choice for himself. Nick just did his final sixth grade band concert last night, and they were great. I I mean, they sounded amazing, and god bless music teachers across the world because music teachers are amazing people. We're really thankful for his band instructor, mister Phil. Shout out to mister Phil. Speaker 3
Shout out to mister Phil. They have to listen to a lot of bad music. Speaker 12
Yeah. Well, and then personally, I've been doing, a comedy class on Wednesday nights. Mhmm. And so last night or Wednesday night was my last class, and we're doing our showcase on Friday, the thirty first, and it's like a ticketed show. And so that's pretty cool because I've been doing open mics, for a couple weeks now, but I I took some time off while I was doing the class because single mom. Speaker 12
only have so many spoons. So yeah. And Wednesday nights were, like, six to nine. So that's those were long days. So I'm pretty tired Speaker 12
But satisfied, that sort of tired that you get when you're like, you know, you've been doing some good stuff. Speaker 3
Yeah. Well, yeah, it's good to yeah. It's a good tired when you're doing stuff you you enjoy. Right? Speaker 3
Very cool. Now, Shorzy, what do you wanna see? Speaker 12
Whatever Jared wants to show me. Nice. Speaker 3
You're you're you're trusting implicitly. You'll just go for the ride. Speaker 1
And Jared, we trust. Speaker 3
Jared, take the wheel. Speaker 12
Jared wants to take me for a ride? Mhmm. Yes, please. Speaker 12
Horny hippo. Without the story he wants to tell, he can tell me. Very good. I'm here for it. All of it. Alright. I do want more Jory Jordan. Speaker 3
Yes. I I feel like we're More Speaker 12
than we've gotten served. I'm kind of like you know how sometimes they put things out and they kinda burn them? Mhmm. I hope they didn't burn all the Jory stuff. Like, I I want more Jory Jordan. Speaker 3
Mhmm. Definitely. And we're gonna get at least some some of them because of that teaser that we've already been shown. But yes. Speaker 12
Alright. And a whole lot more if we're lucky. Speaker 1
I love your background photo. Speaker 3
Yes. Yes. We're we're we're working on that, Casey. Yes. Yeah. I love that. Thank you. Casey's got a background photo of me and Jared staring into each other's, hiss. Speaker 12
I what I love most about this photo is I can't tell if you're gonna kiss or fight, Speaker 1
but I'm there for both. Speaker 12
I want both to happen. Speaker 1
Oh my god. It likes to play on shit. That photo makes me miss that moment so much. Speaker 3
Yeah. Me too. I I can't wait to get back there. Well, thank you for joining us, Casey. And, let's move on to awesome. You've been waiting patiently. How have you been? How are you now? Speaker 3
Not so bad. Now, you've been, busy with your usual life stuff that we'll we'll get into, I'm sure. But let's talk quickly about Reddit because today, you had some excitement on the Reddit group. Speaker 9
Today, we started the first of, hopefully, a series of AMAs with Shorezy cast members to, celebrate series three. And today, we had miss Tasiatales on AKA Nat. Awesome. Speaker 12
That went well. Speaker 3
Yes. She answered my question, and I was very excited. So I I can't wait to go to Parler and try all the different dishes that she told me. Yum. Yes. Speaker 0
But did you trigger our invite again? Speaker 3
Well, I I asked her, so what should I order? I wanna go to parlor this summer. What should I order? And she gave me a list of things to try, and they all sound delectable. Speaker 1
I can't help that we're on a plane with Gord. Speaker 3
Yeah. We'll get to him in Speaker 3
so before it may awesome. We'll get to sorry. In a second. Just Gord has joined us. Speaker 1
From an airplane. Speaker 1
Like, when you say that we're around the world right now, like, we're literally on an airplane as well. Speaker 3
Well, Gord just landed in Newfoundland. Right, Gord? Speaker 0
That's correct. Yes. Speaker 3
And and you're you're deplaning now, but you've joined us. Deplaning? Yeah. That's what they call it. A thing? Okay. That's that Speaker 1
I thought you made up the word. Speaker 3
Are are you on the are you on the Raptors flight? Because you shared some pictures earlier in the week where you were on the fancy plane that the Raptors take. Speaker 0
No. That was, I was coming back from Houston through Montreal. Got lucky, and they swapped out my plane for the sports team plane where they've got a plane that normally has about a hundred and fifty passengers and had seventy seats in it. And, all just two and two instead of three and three and had the exit row in about seven feet of leg room. So Speaker 3
Well, you need them too Speaker 11
with with a bunch Speaker 3
of seven footers in the in the the cabin, but Yeah. Amazing. Speaker 0
Yeah. Yeah. You could literally lie down a basketball player, unless we have made him the seat. Oh, Speaker 3
that's a dream. Wow. I guess when you travel as much as you do, this kind of stuff happens every once in a while. Like, the only upgrade the only upgrade I've ever gotten is a fucking pickup truck in Calgary. But, we appreciate you joining. You you're off the plane now, and you're walking, up the tunnel. So, are you gonna join us? I don't know if we'll be still around. But, Speaker 0
Yeah. Gotta drive through the fog to the hotel. Alright. Be happy. Okay? Speaker 3
Alright. We'll see you in a bit then. Speaker 0
And I I've already seen you in the first few of the short days, so I'll stay with her before. Attaboy. Oh, I'm doing. Speaker 3
Well done. Alright, bud. Have fun. Speaker 3
to if you go to George Street tonight, apparently, hit hit, Terry's there. Terry Ryan's there. Speaker 0
See if I have the energy. Speaker 3
guard. K. Sorry, Austin. I needed to get there before, Gord got off the plane. Speaker 9
Yeah. No worries. But but, yeah, hopefully, Tasha is the first of several that we will have. I put in my requests, but I only heard about positively, like, for sure confirmation from Tasha on Tuesday. So Yeah. I put up everything I had, made an announcement, and that you know, hopefully, I get to hear sooner than Tuesday Right. For this next one. Speaker 12
Yeah. Well, I mean Speaker 3
Yeah. She she did a great job answering people's question, and and there's a good, good turnout for today. Speaker 9
Yeah. Good turnout. Good turnout. Also, I did ask her about coming on the pod. She said hit her up later. Speaker 3
I saw that. But, you know, she's been on the pod before. Right? Like, we'll have her back again, but we have had her. Speaker 1
Okay. We we need her on the, big deck energy Yeah. This summer. Yeah. Speaker 3
Yeah. Well, we need her to to join us You're Speaker 1
on mute, Matt. For for Bill. Speaker 0
We'll even let her bring pizza. Yeah. That's because we're nice hosts like that. Speaker 3
Have you been awesome? Speaker 9
Hired Mhmm. Genuinely. My sleep schedule is shot all the hell. Yeah. But, you know, let's, let's just glide right past that. Speaker 3
Alright. So let's talk about Shorzi three. Have you watched any of it? I don't know if you got a sneak pre peek or anything. Speaker 9
I was debating Mhmm. About bringing this up or playing dumb, but I think by saying that, I just gave myself away. I've seen all of it. Speaker 3
All of it? Okay. So tease us just by saying, how much are we gonna love it? Just a little bit or a whole lot? Speaker 9
Based on everything that people have said here Speaker 9
I think everyone is going to love it a whole lot. There are going to be some things that you're still going to want more of. Sure. But everyone's gonna love love it. Speaker 3
Jay, you're such a shit disturber, really. Like, seriously. Like, what's up with you today? Speaker 9
I I wasn't even looking. What the fuck was he doing? Speaker 3
He's asking when we're gonna find out that Jory's Lori Laura Moore's kid. Anyway Oh. We're not gonna rehash that. If you guys wanna see that argument, it's well brought up in in the Discord. Join the Discord, and you can you can join in on all the fun there. So you've seen the whole thing, and you you have high hopes for what we think of it. And you and you've got some plans for more AMAs in the future with the Letterkenny Reddit. It. Yep. Awesome. And very well. Very good. Speaker 9
This has been awesome. Speaker 3
Yes. I think I've gone around every I think I've spoken to everyone. Did I miss anybody? Did I miss anybody? Speaker 9
Yeah. You missed your shot with Dennis. Speaker 0
Yeah. Where Gugan goes? Speaker 3
I know. Gugan logged in for a bit and then logged off. His he didn't he wasn't connecting very well, so I feel like Speaker 0
His history of good Internet connections Speaker 4
is, you know, strong. Speaker 1
Need to send him some, VPN. Speaker 3
Yeah. Like, we need to hook him up with with better Internet where I forget where he is. I think isn't he in Washington or something like that? Yeah. We need to Speaker 9
He's in Michigan. Speaker 3
Michigan. Yeah. We need to send him better Internet. I've got a so I've been working on, you know, changing the podcast a bit because as of like, once we start covering Shorzy, I I can you know, we're more of a Shorezy podcast than anything else. Speaker 3
So I'm changing the intros, the music, the sound effects. We're gonna have a new unicorn sound. That'll all be unveiled, when we when we do episode one of Shorzy. But I do wanna, Speaker 1
We then need a new scale then too. Speaker 3
Oh, you know what? I think Speaker 1
the grading system. Yeah. Speaker 0
I tried to push that at season one, and y'all thought it was nuts. Speaker 2
We were we still had season twelve of letter ten. Speaker 12
We were too soon. Speaker 1
Yeah. And then premature, Matt. It was premature. Speaker 9
Still called the produce stand. Speaker 3
Yeah. Sykes, gave us some new artwork that I can't wait to unveil too for, Shorzy. Like, there's some different artwork as well. So all of that's gonna be fun. Yeah. A rating scale. We need a three Speaker 3
We do. Hockey themed three, level scale. Victor, you're the you're the hockey expert. What do you think? What what should we do? Speaker 2
Oh, man. We we can have anything from we can have the Gordie Howe hat trick Mhmm. And, you know, as the top. Right? We can That's our unicorn? Well, yeah. I mean, that that could be the unicorn. Right? The Gordie Howe hat trick. Mhmm. But, and then and then the compost might be, a a Speaker 3
Maple Leafs round one in the playoffs. That's that's your compost right there. Speaker 2
Or maybe Or just call it a just the compost is leaf span. Leaf span. Speaker 4
Leaf span. Just that. Speaker 1
It could be the three little bear reference, like too hard, too soft, too, I don't know. Just right. Speaker 13
I I was trying to push a goal metaphor where you have missed the net, kick save, and Speaker 3
goal. Hit the post. Yeah. Something like that. Speaker 1
Oh, that's nice. I like that. Yeah. I think that's great. To my non hockey brain. Speaker 5
K. Well, I'm gonna workshop. Speaker 3
We'll we'll keep on workshopping that. But I do wanna introduce a new seg or what I hope to be a a regular segment, and, let's listen to it right now. Speaker 15
Questionable call. Speaker 3
And And the reason I'm introducing that today is because we do have a call from one of our listeners. Let's listen to it right now. Speaker 7
Hey, guys. Your buddy, Jeff, from Maine again. What a blast last week's episode was. It was spectacularly nerdy in an entertaining way. Great job by Jez. The hosts, however, are getting a blue spatula for the bad gas besmirchment of the middle seasons. I'm looking at you, Matt and Tanya. As someone in the running for having watched more Letterkenny than anyone else on the planet, I feel confident in saying, I think y'all need to do a rewatch. Season six brought us Dick's Slipout and Valentine's Day as well as the now famous You. Season seven, they definitely did something different, and I don't think people were ready for it. But you've got the off brand slogans from Glenn plus the skids overreacting a red card yellow card, then McMurray's five point one five inches in w's talk, and Wayne playing with his calk along with the big twist Marie Fred ending. Season eight gives us two of the highest rated episodes of the series with Holy Sheet and Day Beers Day, and TBS would sound very different without Yard Sale Saturday. Personally, I feel like season eleven might be on the hook for the worst season, and I can't believe I just scolded Matt and Tan, but not Victor. Speaker 3
Nice. That is the first Speaker 3
Questionable call from Jeff. Speaker 3
It it got a spatula from Tanya. Well, a cover anyway, I don't know what that is. Speaker 1
What's in Victor? Speaker 3
Victor was giving it to Hippo. Do we want let do we wanna respond, Tanya? What what do you have to say about, Jeff's call? Speaker 1
I I I love that you've added that because that is so much fun. And I love, Jeff, like, you you made it happen. I love, I love the breakdown. I thought it was fun, and, I definitely wanna hear more. Speaker 3
Alright. Victor, what do you think? Speaker 2
I first of all, you're a scholar and a gentleman. Mhmm. And and second of all Speaker 1
And oh, no. And second of all, Speaker 2
you know, at the end how we have our MVP Speaker 2
I think we should include introduce a new segment that we call questionable call that, and we nominate kind of the scene or the the character or the whatever that we would would consider a questionable call. So I think that's something to workshop as well. Speaker 0
This segment I think he's missing the point here. Speaker 3
Yeah. The the segment the segment's already done. Like, we're gonna have callers or we're gonna have recorded messages like we just had with Jeff. We can do something like that, but it would have to be called something else. Like, I don't know, a a TPS turning point. There you go. And, that's Yeah. Yeah. That's funny because there's something called a TSN turning point, which is when when, like, a game goes when something happens in a game that makes it go Your Speaker 2
your man's plating. Speaker 3
Americans don't watch TSN. They may not know. Anyway, so we'll we'll talk about that. We'll workshop that one as well. But, Jeff, thank you for the the mess oh, Matt, did you have anything to say about Jeff's message? Speaker 0
No. I have nothing nothing to say Speaker 3
Very good. Jeff, thank you so much for the message. We do have a review that came in, from one of our listeners. This is, five stars. If you're a fan of Letterkenny and podcasts, you found a great podcast to listen to. I know I'm so far behind, but I've been watching Letterkenny and listening to the Prodasan podcast every day. Love the podcast. Thanks for great laugh great laughs getting me through my work day. And that's from Chewy from Delaware. That might be our first listener from Delaware. Thank you, Chewy, for the, Speaker 2
I think it's our first Chewy as well. Speaker 3
Yeah. Our first Wookiee. Right? Our first, anyway, Chewy, if you wanna join the degens in the Discord, reach out to us at protostampod on on whatever social you're on, and, we'll add you. You sound like you're you are a very intelligent person with great Speaker 12
Chad's gonna be so happy. Speaker 2
Yeah. Unless that is Chad. Yeah. Speaker 3
Unless it's Chad. Maybe it's Chad. Who knows? Yeah. Speaker 12
A little wookie. Speaker 3
So and I mentioned that I'm working on, you know, producing, like, kind of a new show. I mean, it's the same show. Like, we're still gonna have a lot of the same segments, but just different sounds and different songs. And I reached out to our friend, Dolo, asking him for permission, to use some of his music. And, he actually, got back to us. Here's what he had to say. Speaker 15
do what it does, guys, man? Sorry. I just saw your your DM there. Man, you can use whatever song you want from me. You have, all, my permission, man. Green card, fucking white flag. You do what you wanna do, baby. It's all love. It's family over here. You can use all my songs to do whatever you would like. Appreciate you guys. Love. Hope everything is good. Speaker 3
That man is a fucking prince. Speaker 3
card. He's dropping Shit. His new his new music, I believe, he said on Terry Ryan's podcast on June second, I think, Going Gold is gonna be released. Speaker 3
So we will be sure to be using lots and lots of Dolo music throughout our our Speaker 3
Yeah. Yeah. And and he did mention that he's playing he's got, the summer. He's got some dates in Toronto. And he mentioned Sudbury too. So I'm wondering where he might be performing in Sudbury. Maybe while he's up there shooting Shorzy. Speaker 3
That might be fun. So Speaker 3
There you go. Miss oh, yeah. So we got some ideas here from Jay. Misconduct, all star, and hall of fame. Oh, that's, Speaker 1
Oh, I like those. Speaker 3
Yeah. Those aren't too bad. Anyway, those are all of my yeah. That's all I have for today. So let's go around the horn, and then I'll end up with our panelist with last words. Trace, what do you have to say for yourself? Speaker 11
In this new version of the show, do you still want limericks? Speaker 0
Are you are you hoping that's a yes or Speaker 3
no? What do you wanna do? If you don't wanna do limericks? Speaker 0
read you right now, Trace. Speaker 3
You can do it, like, you can Speaker 11
like writing limericks. I just didn't know if I just didn't know if your future had plans for it. Speaker 3
You could do couplets instead something. What are Speaker 3
Haiku haiku. Haiku haiku. Haiku haiku. Haiku. Well, you've Speaker 0
been calling for romance, so we're doing sonnets now? Speaker 11
I did a sonnet. Yes. Speaker 0
I know you did, bud. I know. I loved it. Speaker 3
Well, why don't you talk to Speaker 8
them hockey haikus. Speaker 3
You wanna do hockey haikus? Speaker 12
That's why she's been doing haikus. Speaker 3
That's why she's We'll do hockey haikus. Alright. That's what we're gonna do then. I love it. I love that we're doing this this production meeting right now. Alright. Good. Any any other words there, Trace? Speaker 11
No. I'm just ready for this dang show to start. Let's Speaker 3
Yes. Alright. KCP, do you have any final words? Oh, we're no. This is great podcasting. Oh, we can't we can't unmute ourselves. Oh, there you go. Speaker 0
I did not. Okay. Speaker 3
You could've just such a good payoff. Shook your head or thumbs down Speaker 1
or whatever. Yeah. I love it. Speaker 3
But thanks. Thanks. Colin, any any final words from you? Speaker 6
No. Just great to be here and, excited for the new season. Speaker 3
Alright. Oh, Mike's got the chip bag out again. Speaker 0
No. The cat is the cat is eating after it. Speaker 0
