What? No guests. Come on, Greg. One job, man. This is the final recap of the final season. We gotta bring it. What are we gonna do? Speaker 1
I don't know, but we're going live in a couple of minutes. Hang on. Casey? Speaker 2
How are you now? Speaker 0
are You mean, what are Speaker 2
Number a, it's Todd Camper on a weekend, and number b, I heard you needed a guess for the recap. So Tada. I decided to take the portal into town and bam. Tasted to the rescue. But how did Listen. It's kinda cold out here. Can I come in? Speaker 1
What? Yeah. Yeah. Of course. Come in. Speaker 2
That's nice. Nice. Look at this place. Where's Tanya? Speaker 2
guys have snacks? Speaker 1
Yeah. Yes, it is. Speaker 6
O m g. I heard that you didn't have a guess for the show tonight, and that got me thinking, this is the final recap for the final season, and that just won't do. This is an important episode, maybe the most important episode So I said to myself, self, Speaker 7
your friends are in a bind, and they need help. Speaker 6
They need your help. Self? So I gonna let this episode go on guest list. No, sir. I am not, not Speaker 3
on my watch, not as long Speaker 6
as there's breath in my body. You, my friend will have, yes. Speaker 1
Come on in, Aaron. Speaker 6
Thanks, Al. He was getting a little chilly out there. Speaker 1
Hey, let you know we didn't. Wow. Speaker 6
This is a really beautiful place. I love all the stuff you guys have done. Hey, is Tanya here? Speaker 7
I'm gonna go say hi. Speaker 1
Alright then. Hey. Liz? Speaker 8
Hey, Al, little birdie, or, I canada goose, told me that you don't have a guest for tonight. I figured I couldn't leave you hanging, so problem solved. Speaker 3
Did you know it's really cold out here? Speaker 1
Yeah. Come on in. Casey and Aaron are already inside. Speaker 8
Oh my god. Yay. Is tan in there too? Speaker 9
Hey, wait. Did you guys do a limerick? Speaker 8
And Limmer it? Oh, check with Trace. Speaker 10
Wasn't so plain and cold? Speaker 8
Because it's Canadian in February, Dork. Speaker 10
Yeah. That's fair. Speaker 8
Did you puke in the portal again? Speaker 10
No. I kept it down this time. So, Al, we recapping the season, or what are we doing here? Because that's freezing my ass off on the front porch. Speaker 1
Trace, you were a guest on the final episode, like literally the last one we did. Speaker 10
Oh, come on, big guy. Don't sweat it. I don't mind, and I got all the fresh material tonight. Speaker 1
When speaking of, did you do a limerick for tonight? Speaker 10
We did not. We wrote this. Speaker 1
This. Yeah. This. This. Speaker 1
Oh, the this. That we're doing right now. Speaker 8
Everybody in the kitchen now? Speaker 10
Nice. Ten year. Speaker 10
Alright. Hey, Al. See you at Showtime bud. Speaker 5
I have for fuck. Speaker 1
Awesome. Al. How'd you you know, that we didn't have any Speaker 3
Who'd you think you're talking to? CSO. Sitit pitnipley out. Budge up. I'm coming in. Speaker 3
Listen up nerds. Time to do some podcast stuff. Let's fucking go. Speaker 0
Hey, what the actual fuck is going on here. Speaker 1
We, we've been taking over and well, we've got guests. Speaker 12
That fresh produce stand there. That's a beauty. Speaker 3
What do you listen to? Speaker 11
My favorite murder podcast? Speaker 4
Taggart and Dorns podcast. The produce stand. Speaker 1
It's thirsty, Thursday, and that means we are once again hanging out at the produce stand. Podcast paying tribute everything in that universe. Those are getting longer and longer every time. Speaker 3
But funnier and funnier. Speaker 1
Now, I know what you're thinking. There are many other podcasts with a lot of Kenny up there, but this one's about to put a bow on the series. I mail your host and joining me in the room as always is lovely, Tanya. And online, we have squarely matt and the vagrant Victor. And joining us this week, there are group that needs no introductions, so I won't bother but also joining us tonight. He's a Buffalo boy, a sabers, Yankee's, and Bronco's fan living in Florida. Please join me making some noise for Tom and the TPS takeover team. Wandress. Oh, my gosh. I regret nothing. Welcome to the produce and everyone. And, apparently, to my house, as as I think that, Speaker 1
Brilliantly written, cold open. Thank you. Once again, Tate Speaker 0
I don't think awesome got enough doorbell rings. No. Speaker 13
I think she still had a couple options. Speaker 3
car crash. Yeah. Where was my car crash noise? Come on, man. Speaker 1
Sorry. I I tried. I I I I was rushing this afternoon, getting that one together. But before we get any further, I just wanna say, I mean, normally for these recaps, we have, Dean and TR on. Unfortunately, those two, they're so busy these days. TR is teaching again and Dean's like taking, classes and doing voiceovers. And, anyway, it was impossible to schedule them. So sadly, And for the first time in twelve seasons, we weren't able to get them on for a recap episode. I'm hoping we'll get them on for a recap episode later, but I didn't wanna let season twelve go too long without getting together and putting a bow on it. So, and the reason Tom's here is early on, I promised him he'd get an episode in season twelve and then I completely forgot about the promise I made to him and scheduled everyone else. And then he's like, what the fuck, Al? So I'm like, you know what? You can join you can join Dean and TR in the recap episode. So the so welcome Tom. Speaker 3
Twelve other people. Speaker 1
And twelve other people, but that wasn't the plan earlier Speaker 8
takes this many people to fill Dean and Tiarra's shoes. Speaker 3
Exactly. Exactly. Under Speaker 1
we missed them dearly and we hope to have them on again eventually. But they're just their lives are just really busy now. So maybe when school is out, maybe we can get them on. But Tom I mean, every everyone else has already been on. And I know you've been on, like, egg hauls in the past, Tom, but welcome to the produce stand. Speaker 9
Thank you. I'm glad to be here. Speaker 1
We're happy to have you. You're in Florida? Speaker 9
Yes. I am. Tampa. Speaker 1
Tampa, Florida. Now, so it must be really nice and warm down there right now. It's the opposite up here. Speaker 9
Puff. It's, in American degrees, it's fifty five. I don't know what that is in socialism. Speaker 3
Okay. That's downright cool. Speaker 1
Yeah. Okay. Well, it's Speaker 0
not too far. It was nine today here. So Speaker 9
relatively chilly here lately, but, you know, for you guys, it'll probably be comfortable with short weather. Speaker 5
Oh, we'd be in the pool. No problem. Speaker 0
sleeve. I was short sleeve today at nine. So Speaker 11
I'm wearing shorts right now. Speaker 9
I got the heat off. Speaker 3
Show us or it doesn't count Speaker 3
Stand out Victor. Speaker 1
Quick boiler play questions, Tom. When did you discover Letter Kenny? Speaker 9
Two thousand nineteen. Speaker 1
Twenty nineteen? Yeah. Speaker 3
Can I elaborate on that haase? Or Speaker 9
My My youngest daughter came home from school and was like, hey, dad. There's this funny Canadian show on Hulu. It's called Letter Kenny, and, it's about hockey. So we decided to start watching it. And then I binged I think it was the first four or five season at that point. Speaker 9
it was just I loved it, but my wife had the same reaction. Tanya had a bunch of team walking, and she goes, What the fuck is this stupid shit? Speaker 1
Did you ever convert her though? Speaker 9
I have not. No. When she does quote Shoresy and she does quote let her get any quite often. Speaker 1
Oh, okay. Well, there Speaker 1
just by osmosis. Speaker 0
See, all you had to do is start a podcast and make her go on it and then she becomes a fan after three years. It's that easy. Speaker 2
So Reuben formula. Speaker 1
You're you're originally from Buffalo. So, I mean, you're you're you're probably are pretty, familiar with, you know, Southern, Ontario and and some of the isms that are that are mentioned on this show, was it kind of did it feel make you feel a bit like homesick watching it or no? Speaker 9
It made me feel yeah. I guess. It made me feel like I was home. Speaker 9
Yeah. You know, being basically Southern Canadian Speaker 9
Being from Buffalo. Speaker 1
Mhmm. We'll we'll claim you. We'll claim you. And when did you discover this podcast? Speaker 9
Twenty twenty one. I think, I retweeted something and you guys, liked it and then started following me. And then I was, like, Hey. I got to check you guys out, and I listened to an episode from, season eight. And then I just went back and listened starting with the do not listen episode. Speaker 1
Oh, so you disobeyed orders. That Speaker 1
No one ever over never ever falls out. Alright. Well, thank you so much for joining us today. We're gonna do a quick around the table with how How are you now? Tonight's lineup is gonna be myself Tanya, Matt Victor, then Tom, and the takeover team, this week. It's a blur. I don't even know what what to talk about this. Speaker 1
Yeah. Yeah. We had a long weekend with family day weekend. So that's right. So we could talk about that. And we, you know, it was a family day weekend for those who are not in Ontario because it's not even a a thing. Only certain provinces have family day weekend, which is just an excuse to have a long weekend in February. We had family over. So government mandated familial cohabitation. They came Speaker 13
to visit us visit us from Speaker 1
out near where Cassie's from. And, yeah, I spent the weekend. We have some fun. The kids love playing with their cousins and we, what did we do? We we went to, David yeah. Yeah. Play video games and dig into David Busters, and the girls went to a spa and got pampered and stuff. It was it was a it was a good weekend. And, yeah, there's not my chance to kinda talk about. I don't think other than that. So we'll move on to Tanya. What did Speaker 5
you do? You almost took out the whole thing because you got sick. And you just, like, went for for gold on that. You just, you went from a sinus infection. I'm so Speaker 1
sick of being sick. This house Speaker 5
You had double pink eye. So it was it was like it it was so small. If you if you're gonna do it, do it, do it right, I guess. Speaker 1
Anyway, I'm all better now. Speaker 5
Yeah. Yeah. It was a it was a great long weekend. A lot of fun. We just and it was you know what? It was the perfect way to celebrate because Saturday, we just stayed on our jammies, even though we had people family over. We had a jammie day, and we had everyone just got to play, you know, games and have food and just relax and go nowhere and do nothing, and it was wonderful. So it was a good great way to have people over and, really just kind of relax with each other instead of, you know, the regular go here, go there, make this, make that. So it was fun. Speaker 1
Which will be this coming weekend because I'm gonna Speaker 5
This weekend gonna be so much fun. Yeah. Speaker 1
I'm gonna be at podcamp, which is a podcasting, and I'm sure we'll hear about it from Casey later too, but, It it's a podcast convention happening in Toronto over the weekend. So that's No. Speaker 0
No. It's not a convention. Speaker 5
It's a nonconventional Speaker 1
convention. It's a nonconventional convention. Speaker 0
At this debate, just saying. Speaker 1
Yes. Yeah. So, Matt Speaker 5
And we're going for a I have to say though. We're also going for a stand up comedy on Saturday. Speaker 5
And, we're seeing a special someone. Speaker 11
Are you performing? Or are you Speaker 1
no. No. We're gonna watch a show. Speaker 11
Join improv like Yeah. Speaker 0
Well, because I'm doing stand up comedy. Yeah. Speaker 1
We were gonna go watch a stand up comedy show. Yeah. Matt, I saw that you were maybe taking in some of the snow action this week. Speaker 1
Didn't you see that? Snowboarding pictures on, Speaker 0
Oh, that was a two years ago, a two Speaker 0
a two years ago, Speaker 0
was a little confused. Yeah. Aside from not taking in the snow, my week was fine. We we we got our we got our new car. So that all worked drastically. Pretty excited about that. We love it. It's it literally has new car smell, but things five years old and has new car smell. It was a it was a steal of a deal, and we are thrilled with it so much that we don't even wanna drive it. Speaker 1
Probably stolen, please. Speaker 0
We parked we parked it in the garage, and we're like, we should just leave here because it looks good. And as soon as you take it out into the city, something stupid's gonna happen, and it's gonna no. So we're trying not to drive it. So become a nice ornament in our driveway. Speaker 1
you're just gonna stress out until you get that first scratch or dent. So get it out of the way. Get it over with. Speaker 3
Just put some bird seed on top and have a the bird shit on it straight away, and then you'll be over that real quick. Speaker 0
Well, we're getting ready. I've already, I've already installed a roof rack on it. So that's that's ready to go. I've ordered the weathertech, floor liners for the inside of the car. Speaker 1
Oh, you're tricking it up. Are you? Okay. Speaker 0
Oh, yeah. We the thing is like brand fucking new, man. We're like, we can't let the little monsters in there and ruin it already. So We're we're Speaker 3
This week on it. Pimp my ride. Yeah. Speaker 1
Well, more like grant edition. Grandma, my ride. Yeah. You Speaker 2
my attention. Is there is is Speaker 5
there a sticker for that? Like, don't don't touch my car. It's new. Like, There's a baby Speaker 1
on board. Sure way Speaker 5
to make sure your pig gets touched before. Maybe there's a fuck off and don't touch this for sticker. Speaker 1
You put that sticker Speaker 13
on the sticker. That's a Speaker 3
great way to get your car feed. Yeah. Speaker 3
That's what's gonna happen there. Speaker 0
Yep. I am trying to figure out which which sticker I can convince wifey to put on? There's the ear ten ply bud. If you can't see these because it's all white. The get this guy fucking puppers when I have this Speaker 0
The, give your balls a tug. Speaker 1
She's gonna allow you to to face your new car. Speaker 0
Oh, Texas size ten four. I have one. I think I have the allegedly one in my car that hasn't stuck to anything. So I'm gonna see if I can convince Speaker 8
There's room for photos that Speaker 7
Yeah. All good choices. Yeah. Speaker 3
All good choices. I understand. Speaker 0
Oh, I know. I don't understand. Speaker 10
There's no there's not a wrong decision. Speaker 3
On there. Yeah. Just put one on there and wait until notices. Speaker 0
Oh, it'll take her notices. She'll notice before I even start doing it. That's how good she is Speaker 2
does it have useless windows in the back? Like, between the trunk and the door? Like, are there, like, tiny Speaker 0
I know you're talking. I have those on my car. That's where I thought about putting stickers. Speaker 2
You can put sticker. Yeah. Stick those up. Good. Speaker 0
I'm really stingy with my Speaker 5
are you stickering wifey's car? Stick at your old car, dude? Speaker 0
It's not loud. That's yeah. Speaker 5
No. Stigger your own car. Speaker 0
Why would I do that stupid? Speaker 8
Hey. Well, this tractor, you go you go out there Speaker 0
how else are we gonna find the new car? We don't even remember what it is half the time. Speaker 1
You you say you're you're stingy with your stickers. Are those still the stickers that Crystal sent us? Like Yeah. Speaker 0
Yeah. Three years ago. I've used, like, one a year since Speaker 0
The most recent one I used was the modines too. On my water bottle. Speaker 11
Hey, Matt. I have a two one zero seven six. Speaker 0
I don't wanna run out. Speaker 3
It's just that sticker He's got sticker fallout. It because, you know, once you stick it to something, that you can't stick it to anything else. Speaker 7
Wow. Save the stickers, bud. Speaker 0
Thank you. Is I taking way more of my time than I should have. Speaker 3
Not gonna understand you. I don't condone this. Speaker 3
I think you're being Speaker 1
Yeah. Now I've got a Speaker 11
top ten of top ten of ten q one zero seven sticker free if you wanted. Speaker 5
That's a classic too. Oh, that's classic stuff. Speaker 0
Yeah. But I don't want I don't wanna for me. It sounds important. Speaker 11
It's it's setting in my guitar case. Speaker 1
You should put it on your guitar. Speaker 11
It's yeah. No. I I Speaker 0
not on the guitar. Speaker 11
out of room. I have one guitar that I put all the stickers on. I ran out of room on it. Speaker 3
No. See, that's when it starts to look good is when they overlap layer. The aesthetic. Speaker 1
Yeah. And and and and it helped you sustain. Anyway, Victor, how's your week been? Speaker 11
Yeah. It's pretty good. In in Toronto, we also had the long, family weekend, not just in, Rochester or wherever you live. Speaker 5
And I'm pretty sure you Speaker 0
in Ontario, man. Are you sure you're not Speaker 7
seeing Victor this weekend? Speaker 3
Oh, man. Victor throwing balls. Speaker 1
Look what I found. Look what I found. Speaker 11
Yeah. That's that's a limitation. Speaker 1
Uh-huh. Whatever. Speaker 11
But, let's see. What did I do? Oh, speaking of Tom, Are you worried? Speaker 11
I finally learned how to, properly play, jiffy jam. Which is a song by Jerry Reed. So Tom and Jerry. Jerry. Wow. Wow. Speaker 3
There's a long way to go for that, dude. Speaker 0
It's like the worst game of password ever. You ran Speaker 13
a merit on Yeah. Speaker 1
Remind me never to pick Victor to come on a game show with me. Speaker 11
Right. But it's but it's no. I mean, I, you know, I made a connection, but it's a real thing. Speaker 11
And it's it's for those of you with, k. Speaker 1
The connections you make are like, you know, remember, have you ever watched the wire and they have like the pins on the walls with the red string? Speaker 5
Connection with you is, like, talking to a two year old. And the next question is, why? Oh, why? Speaker 11
I'm just telling. Speaker 3
It's okay. It's got his black belt lateral thinking. Speaker 5
And then when you start answering the why, They go on to something. It's completely, totally different. Speaker 11
Go and listen to Jiffy jam. It's a great song. We'll put a smile on your face. Speaker 7
you just play it right now? Time. Speaker 3
We don't hear it. Don't encourage. Speaker 5
Don't encourage. Yeah. It did. Speaker 11
And and let's see. And oh, Speaker 1
just because you're his favorite, Aaron, stop it. Alright. Speaker 11
It's not he's not wrong. And, Linda and I started watching a new show. That is actually really, really old. I remember back in Menares when we were kinda hanging around at lunchtime. Yeah. Yeah. And people were talking about the show. I kinda thought it was all sappy and wasn't really that in it. Speaker 11
And so we finally gave it a chance. And it's really, really good. Speaker 11
So we we finished one season and I think there's, like, five more seasons. Speaker 10
one with the with the person and the Speaker 5
other person. Make it stop. Speaker 11
No. I think Tanya guessed it. Did did she guess it? Speaker 5
Something of us. This is us? Or this is us? Or this is us? Speaker 5
I time date Yeah. Have you Speaker 2
Show that Mark Knopler and Emily Lou Harris Speaker 11
Which doc my will I Speaker 5
I haven't gotten into the that show. I did I did think about it once or twice, but No. You're giving it a shot? Speaker 10
crossed by my application. Speaker 0
There's so many other things to watch. Speaker 1
I know. Right? It looks Speaker 8
like it's a real tear dirt. Speaker 11
Okay. For those that are pooping on it, have you watched it? Speaker 1
Yes. No. I've only seen how it's been marketed, and I don't wanna I Speaker 11
not seeing it. I'm looking for it. Sappy will make You don't have to cry. It's your Speaker 5
No. No. It doesn't ring. Crying is not a choice. Speaker 0
Oh, you just got canceled, Victor. Speaker 13
Just next step out. Alright. Speaker 1
Let's let's move on before we before we get canceled, Tom. Speaker 8
How are you now? Speaker 1
Have you been, Tom? Speaker 9
Good. Yeah, it's just been a week. You know, met my new boss yesterday. Just hanging out at home with the wife and planning my vacation Speaker 3
for you mean the new one? Speaker 1
Yeah. Unless it's your wife. And then yeah. Speaker 9
Well, that's that's a permanent boss. Speaker 1
Right. What kind of work do you do? Speaker 9
I work for a, electronics company in Saint Pete. Speaker 9
We make, circuit boards for planes, missiles, stuff like that. Speaker 10
So you can't talk about that. Speaker 3
Oh, so you do a lot of work for Boeing. Don't you? Speaker 13
And some of those doors, bud. Speaker 11
But on and off. Speaker 1
It's okay. Alright. Tom's like, alright. Speaker 3
Let's move on. Let's move on. Speaker 9
I immediately ask that question when I saw that news story. Mhmm. Was that our fault? Speaker 13
I hope not. Yeah. Speaker 10
I hope not in the last airline flight in a month. Can y'all not Speaker 11
So there was there was there was an exciting event today. So we we had a, a lander land on the moon. Today's success. Speaker 6
Yes. That's right. Speaker 1
Oh, is that what what country? Speaker 2
I don't think the moon has No. But because there's been a bunch of Speaker 2
a private. It was a private person. Speaker 11
it's a US. It's a Are you okay? Speaker 1
Because there's been a bunch of country. India's gotten there. China's gotten there. Yes. Speaker 11
It's US, but it's not government program. It's a Speaker 0
private company, but they Speaker 11
are working with NASA. There's, I think, twelve NASA experiments on there. Anyway, it landed at the south pole. Mhmm. Very exciting. So if you had anything to do with the circuitry on board, congrats. Speaker 9
I'm sure we did somehow. Speaker 1
you ever been Hey, Speaker 0
this ain't credit, Tommy. Speaker 1
Thank you. Tom, since you're in Florida, have you ever been to a launch? Speaker 9

I'll actually be in Canaveron, June Mhmm. When I go on my cruise. Speaker 11
Cool. That's Don't be like don't be like mad if you're in the area. Speaker 10

of thought to what he was gonna do. Oh, right? Speaker 10
Mostly this okay. I got some. Besides this week of, writing that intro word with my Speaker 1
Well done. Yes. Yeah. Speaker 10
Thank you. I, my my schedule at work changed. For the past year, I've been working, like, Tuesday through Saturday, Speaker 10

And how does that feel for you? Have you have Speaker 10
I mean, the weirdest part about it is just, you know, I still Tuesday through Saturday, you still get two days off Yeah. And all that stuff, and then you have a weekend, but you never, quit feeling disconnected from the rest of the world. Speaker 1
Sure. But you your Monday though was pretty, like, you can go places and and it's not crowded. Right? Speaker 10
One I mean, the the the that was the one upside. Working the Saturday was horrible, but the Monday was like, Got a doctor's appointment Monday. Yeah. Speaker 1
Exactly. You gotta Speaker 10
bank Monday. Yeah. It's pretty cool. Speaker 10
I like Monday of your pride and I'm glad to be back on it. Speaker 1
Welcome to the world of, Monday to Friday. Thanks, guys. Speaker 3
I'd rather do Sunday to Thursday. That would be choice. Speaker 10

or the cool kids only going any night. Speaker 1
Yeah. I can't also Speaker 0
get it. I'm fashionably late. Speaker 2
I'm excited about my hotel, to be honest. Speaker 1
Where are you staying, Dan? Speaker 2
It's like, I'm not saying that. Speaker 3
Don't say it. What are you saying? What's your ad? Speaker 2
What's your social security number? Isn't any hotel? It's It's close. It's close. Speaker 13

Yes. I'm gonna be really quick. Two fun stories. Today, I welcome to student teacher into my classroom who happened to have been in my kindergarten classroom. What? It was such a beautiful, full circle. Wow. I kinda called it too when she was in kindergarten, like, man, this girl's gonna be a great teacher and then ended up being a teacher. So, I really I Speaker 1
noticed you left out the word great, but okay. Good. Speaker 7
Did I leave out the word great? Oh, it's gonna get fantastic. Speaker 0
ruin the moment now. Speaker 7
Sorry. She's gonna be a wonderful teacher. I just Speaker 1
Just playing. I'm just playing. That's awesome. Speaker 3
Do you think you influenced her at all? Speaker 7
I no. I think she was in sparring with the baby? I'd I I don't wanna take any claim in that. I think she was born together Speaker 10
You had her first. Take it off. Speaker 7
rocket. It's, we're all we're all winning this week. And then my second exciting thing, I actually did not share this with you, Victor, but I am going to the Mecca I am my children and I are going to see Feona and Fritz Speaker 7
a month. So That is incredible. Yes. I will send pictures. Speaker 11
Mister so John. So Speaker 11
Is this are you going there for that purpose? Or it's or it's as well as Speaker 7
as well as, there's an underground railroad museum that we wanna go to. Oh, gosh. Speaker 8
Oh, and you plan the best tricks. Speaker 0
And you left Victor out. Speaker 7
Sorry. That one, the view was number one. Speaker 8
Victor's like Three right Doctor Speaker 10
knows the underground railroad isn't a weird way. Speaker 12
And you and just No. I I Speaker 11
I know what that means. Speaker 13
He was talking about. But but Speaker 1
but Erin, just say and you're gonna have pre crembal brulee every night and, like, everything Victor loves you're gonna do. Speaker 7
And there's a train museum somewhere. Yeah. Speaker 1
And I'm sure there's a w k r p museum somewhere that you'll go visit. Speaker 2
Don't listen to extreme the entire. Speaker 11
Safe some love for, BB and and Tucker as well, though. Speaker 7
I absolutely will. We'll do some love their way. Speaker 1
That's amazing. Liz, How have you been? Speaker 8
Oh, good. And you? Speaker 8
So I have had a really good week. Shut out to Joey and his wife because they flew through on their way to Hawaii. They have a friend that actually lives in the area. It wasn't just for me. But, yeah, so they stopped in Seattle. And I met them downtown at Pike Place Market. Speaker 8
And we hung out for, like, four hours and it just felt like meeting with old friends. Speaker 8
it wasn't even like, you know, like when you meet someone for the first time, even though you've seen them, their face, you're like, still kinda nervous. I actually literally thought in my car, I should have brought a blue spatula so we could be like, like, I have a I'm wearing a red rose, you know, or whatever. But, I thought of that too late. But it was funny because I was standing on this, like, sky bridge that goes from the parking lot to the market, and I was looking at my phone and I just, like, looked up and we made eye contact and it was like, oh, there he is. Speaker 8
And it was just It was just like seeing good friends, you know, and his wife is so lovely and Speaker 8
You know, She she takes the best pictures. So we're I'm now following her on Instagram of their their trip. You know, they went to Hawaii afterwards. So they're there I, I assume now. Actually, I don't know a hundred percent, but it was just it was such a great trip, and they were here, visiting their friend. She came to the Mark too, and it was just it was so fun. Speaker 8
even sat outside and it was like sprinkling and Joey wanted to try these beers and He works at a brewery over there. So he, like, gave the guy some stickers, and then he got some stickers, like, brewery stickers Speaker 1
and stuff. Networking. Speaker 0
Guys, like, palling stickers. Speaker 2
They're gonna take ice Speaker 1
So Joey's a good guy. So, yeah, we we when we met him in person to, you know, he's such a good guy. Speaker 5
Real good. Oh, my gosh. Speaker 8
I'm Well, that's right because he went up. Yeah. Speaker 3
That's a great fucking guy. Speaker 1
He was a great guy. Speaker 8
That's right. It was a really it was a good visit. It was it was, like, meeting up with just old friends Speaker 7
and so quick right away. Right? Speaker 1
Yeah. Yeah. Amazing. Yes. Speaker 8
Yeah. And totally. Yeah. Totally cool dude. Awesome. Speaker 3
my week. Well, there's been some well, it's not exactly construction. It's more like deconstruction. In my house. I've currently got four industrial fans and two industrial strength dehumidifiers going twenty four seven. Fun time. And then I guess the highlight of my week was I bought some really, really, really nice yarn. It's a fifty fifty silk merino blend, but, yeah, I'm planning to make a show out of that. Nice. Speaker 8
Nice. For each of us. Speaker 1
Remember during the pandemic when the highlight of Matt's week was buying flip flops? I remember that though. Speaker 3
Yeah. Yeah. I still Speaker 0
big highlight of the year. Speaker 1
Flipping bikes, buying flip flops. Speaker 0
Dalla dollar bills. Speaker 3
I'm trying not to dwell on the the fact that my house has asbestos. Speaker 1
well, you're getting rid of it. Right? That that's a good Yeah. Speaker 1
good thing. You're going through all this hell, but at the end of it, it'll be you'll be better off. Right? Speaker 3
Or hopefully. Mhmm. Hopefully. Hopefully, it doesn't fall down around my ears in the meantime. Speaker 1
No. No. Stay positive. Alright. Let's get this rig rolling. Here we go. Speaker 9
Previously. On Letter Kenny. Speaker 1
Last week, we had the week off, but the week before we recapped and reviewed Letter the Letter Kenny finale over and out, that episode was a unicorn receiving fresh ratings from across our panel including our guest trace. According to Twitter, seventy nine point six percent of you agreed the episode was a fresh in twenty point four. Gave it a clearance. No compost were given then rightfully. So this week, we recap and review the entire season twelve with our friends, Tom, and the TPS team. Tom, have you done your homework? I copied off a mat. Speaker 13
Did you oh, man. Speaker 0
That's a mistake. Yeah. Speaker 1
That's a big mistake. Speaker 0
Oh. You forgot one thing. Oh, you said we didn't do anything last week. Mhmm. But we interviewed the amazing Oh, you're right. Good job. Speaker 1
Yeah. We did inter interview Camille. Was that last week? Speaker 0
Yeah. I heard that. Speaker 9
Yeah. I'll That was great. Yeah. Speaker 0
Just holding you I'm holding you accountable, man. It's that's what we did. Speaker 1
You're right. It was Speaker 0
a great it was a great interview. I've been listening to yet. She was such a blast. Speaker 1
So Yeah. And literally, she's a queen. Speaker 0
Yeah. You can con you can continue now. Speaker 1
Thank you. Let's see here. Everyone's done their homework. Let's skip past that. So let's go two episode one live at Modines. Our guests for that one was awesome. And, we opened this episode, with an epic wrap. Written by the team of Tate and Webb. And Speaker 1
Performed epically delivered epically by you're or the one and only, Tanya. Speaker 5
Jared Kiso. Damn. Eighty one episodes, calling it done. Don't get me wrong. It's been a hell of a run, but to pack it all up and start walking. Now before anybody starts the complaining, think they know better, get to explaining, know I get it. I hear what you're saying, but no baby, I'm just talking. What's that cupcake? Hard to be funny. Shoresy got you downy. Don't sweat it, honey. We know you true damn busy counting your money. What's that baby? You like a limerick, Jared Kiso, use my favorite, Hick. You hotter than hell, and I guess you can tell I'm a little preoccupied with the but of course, the d gives me distraction. Got a Portuguese man giving me action. I am the d Jan Queeno Toronto Dorino, drinking my Vino, burgundy Pino. You ain't never seen nobody like me. Oh, get a good look while you can. I am the fairy pod mother. I am unlike any other. Take a good look and soon you'll discover the lady they all called Han. But, oh, yeah. The subject of today. Letter Kenny. Now, I must admit at first glance that it was a bit hard to get what the hell was this shit. I'll said, give it a bit. I no thanks and split, but the man just won't quit. So, yeah, so My guy started a podcast. My guy assembled a squad fast. He got a Victor, he got a mat, but even he knew it would take more than that. He must be selective, he must be subjective, or this year, collective becomes ineffective, because the one thing you need is a woman's perspective. See, I'm a little bit naughty. A little bit nice. A little bit sugar. A little bit spice. A little bit fire. A little bit ice. But here you go, Matt. I'll blink twice. Nevertheless. Now, I must confess and we must address that we, more or less here at T. Would like to express and hope to impress, keep doing our best for continued success. When it comes down to it, Jared, he knew it. He's leaving on top, and that's how you do it. We're left with the memories, so let's not be saddened or feel bad that it's over, but glad that it happened. Speaker 1
Still amazing. So well written guys, so, like, some of those runs are just, like, unbelievable. Speaker 8
Holy one of my favorites. Speaker 7
That in today's. Speaker 1
And let's see here. Live of Modines, aren't my next clip here. We have awesome giving her rating for the episode. While at the same time throwing some shade at yours truly. Speaker 3
I wanna point out one more thing. I am very fascinated with the difference, Al, with you. Okay. Between this episode one and Shoresy Series two. Speaker 1
We're not talking about Shoresy here. We're not talking about Shoresy here. Speaker 3
The same thing. They're setting up higher arc for the entire series. Speaker 3
And with Shorzy, You were all down on it, but with this episode, you're all fucking Speaker 1
Completely different shows. Speaker 3
Fucking fascinating. Take multitudes. And I think you're a hypocrite. Speaker 3
But this episode is a fucking Pure got a one track line. And it's full of ungulates. Speaker 1
Yeah. All all Victor heard there was hippo. Unbelievable. Anyway, that Speaker 1
It was so well done. That episode, received a fresh rating from Matt's, a clearance from Victor, a fresh from myself, a clearance from Tanya, and awesome gave it a fresh. So let's go around the table here, Tom. What what did you give this episode? Speaker 9
Let me look at my notes here. Speaker 1
Yeah. Make sure you get your Speaker 1
Alright. So you didn't mind the the the dairy roasts in this one. Speaker 9
It that was a little harsh. Speaker 9
But, you know, it's He should be used to it. And it it look like it hurt. Speaker 1
Yeah. Well, she yeah. She the more you know somebody, the the the deeper you can cut for sure. So And Speaker 9
and it started early in the episode. Mhmm. Speaker 1
Trace. What about you? Speaker 10
I gave I gave it. I'll I'll I'll like low fresh. Yeah. Uh-huh. It, it was it it was good and, in the sense that you know, they came back and they did a good one. The Katie stuff I realized was basically it had to set up the rest of the season, so I was okay with that. It was fine. Speaker 2
My first notes say I hated this episode. Speaker 2
But it was a low fresh Speaker 1
Really? You really hated it. Speaker 2
Everyone stand up irritated me. I think I'm just was I think Mike was right originally. Like, I'm just cranky about it being over. But also, everybody stand up irritated me. It's obvious they were setting dairy up for the fall pretty hard, and that was distracting. But after a couple of rewatches, I sort of appreciated the stand up because Dairy was killing it. Mhmm. And he totally missed Wayne and Katie, like, super proud of him. Like, he went straight to Mickey. And so, anyway, and then also Wayne's stand up. Is worth all of the rewatches. Speaker 10
That that gets better as you watch it. Yeah. Speaker 2
Every time I watch it it's something else, and I just wanna keep watching it. Speaker 1
Yeah. Who was was it? Olivia or or Allie who said that the way they they originally re wrote it, there was a lot more awkward silence and but they cut it they cut it to have the you know, two minutes later, two minutes later, but, I wonder how different it would have been if they'd kind of left the the awkwardness in there. I don't know. Maybe it wouldn't have been so as much letter Kenny, though, because letter Kenny's Speaker 3
It would have been very scory. Speaker 7
Yeah. Well, we did have a huge smile on his face throughout that whole thing. He was very proud of himself. Yeah. He was. Yeah. He was. I I gave it a fresh as well. I have a, like, a hot take a little bit on dairy. Because it's kind of going on in my household. So dairy's going through puberty. He's he's going through those, like, changes and you're not sure who your friends are and, you know, everybody everybody's kind of doing their own thing and you need your own thing. So he found that in Mick and, yeah. So that's kind of Speaker 7
Where I feel like his arc went through the season. Speaker 8
I really love that take, Erin. I didn't think of it that way having a a sixteen year old that that is very appropriate, actually. I also gave it a fresh, because I liked the standup. Minus really Katie's, but I'm just I'm not a fan of that, like, people bashing of any sort, you know. It's and and again, like, we've all said, I get it. I get why it happened. You know? But, I do I did like the rest of it. I did like Daryl's, stand up. Speaker 8
And, I do have to say though my my favorite thing was the Epic Alphabet aerobics in the beginning, the cold open. Yeah. I think that that was the best ever. And I just I loved how it was everybody was involved in it. And so that alone for me made it a fresh Speaker 1
in in retrospect, though, when we see how the rest of the the the season went, they they look for every opportunity to have some kind of re reference to earlier letter Kenny. So I really love that their their stand up was the old letter Kenny problems. Speaker 8
Like Yes. Absolutely. That I think that's why his was Yeah. His was my favorite other than, I did right here. Riley and Josie, their self deprecating humor. Speaker 8
Like, that when when they first started with the girls, you know, up there, and it was just, like, really, like, oh my god, whatever. And but then when they, like, the later part of it, I loved it. I thought it was great. Speaker 1
Casey, you're shaking your head there. Speaker 3
Clear that it's intentional, but then that becomes funny. Speaker 8
all Great. Awesome. Speaker 3
While I stand by my original thoughts on the subject, Wait and thinks that the lounge lizard stick is charming, and that will never fail to amuse me. Speaker 1
Apparently, it won't doesn't fail to him use casey after. Speaker 3
Like, he thinks he's smooth with it and he is the most awkward fucker in the room. Yeah. Speaker 1
All he needed to do is to to finish off with saying, you know, thank you. Try the veal. But, He does does say to tip your waitress, but not not in this episode. Alright. Oh, sorry? Yeah. Speaker 13
Go ahead. Okay. Speaker 1
Our scientific Twitter poll, gave sixty nine point six percent gave this a fresh twenty six point seven gave Speaker 0
That's appropriate. Speaker 1
And three point seven gave a compost. I think we're gonna find that, Twitter this, for this season was well below any other season in terms of the Fresh is given, but still, fresh over, you know, overtook clearance. In terms of the MVPs, Matt gave it to Mick. It was, the beginning of Matt's Love affair with that character. Victor gave it to Stewart because, he loved the way Stewart kept on asking when did the jokes start? Cause he he was he agreed with Stewart. I gave it to Alex and and olive, because I thought it was great to see them after we saw them, you know, doing their live stand up. It was cool to see them on screen. Tanya gave it to Riley and Jonesie for the self deprecating humor, and awesome gave it to Katie. Tom, we start with you. Who would you give the MVP to? Speaker 9
Was hands on, Alex and olive. Speaker 1
Alright. Are you gonna be able to see them live? Are you have you seen, like, are there any opportunities to see them where you were? Speaker 9
They're in, I believe, Orlando. Speaker 9
Yeah. I don't think I was able to get tickets. Speaker 1
No. Trace. What about you? MVP? Speaker 10
I'm with Matt. I'm I'm going with the mister Gibraltar there. Speaker 10
I mean, I I mean, he comes on like freaking tornado and it's Yeah. And it just kicks everything into gear for the season. Mhmm. I mean, is he the most, likable character? No. But No. He's, he's critical. Yeah. Speaker 1
And, I mean, he he came in to this established. Speaker 3
Whole mass more like Speaker 1
And to this established cast, and I thought he held held his own throughout. Speaker 0
He he did what was expected of him in this season. Speaker 1
Casey, how about you? Speaker 1
Wayne. During his stand up? Okay. Speaker 3
Yes. This little self satisfied, a little smirk there. Speaker 2
It's it's the way that he wears it along with everything else. It's like Rico's Swave, Wayne, and we don't get to see that guy a lot. But he's really awkward. Speaker 3
It's the autism, babes. Speaker 2
Yeah. Whatever. It works. Speaker 7
I was gonna give it to Mick, because he was friendly and gave theory what he needed. But on the second viewing of it, I just noticed that he gave dairy drinks that were not from a bartender, and I just can't I can't give that. Oh, okay. Speaker 7
so I'm gonna say, Riley Jonesie. Speaker 8
For there. Alright. Speaker 1
You're with Tanya on this one. Riley and Jonesy. Alright. Liz? Speaker 8
I actually had, Riley and Josie written down the first at first. But then I decided that I'm gonna give it to, all the funny guys because, is it Alex and olive? Speaker 13
Mhmm. Alex. So yep. Speaker 2
Yeah. They because Speaker 8
they kept saying, you know, funny guys, the funny guys, and I love a funny guy. Oh. And, that that's why I love all you guys. Speaker 8
I love watching stand up and it was just I give it to the funny guys. Speaker 1
Alright. Awesome. Speaker 3
I feel like that compliment could cut both ways. Yeah. Oh, Speaker 1
you already gave yours to Katie. Yeah. You you you stuck Speaker 3
Yeah. I'm sticking with Katie. Speaker 1
Alright. Let's move on to episode two Sund Arts. Our guest for that one was our buddy, Zach. Let's listen to that cold open. Okay, Matt. You're ready to record the intro? Speaker 0
Yes, sir. Opening the file now. This is gonna be what the actual fuck is going on here? Speaker 1
What? What could possibly be wrong? Speaker 0
This. It's a damn limerick. Speaker 1
Okay. What's wrong? Is it the weird rhymes thing again? Speaker 0
No. It's it's just a limerick. Speaker 1
Okay. They write one for every episode. Speaker 0
Did you even listen last week? They wrote that whole rap thing for ten and everybody's falling over themselves saying how amazing she was Speaker 0
Well, maybe I wanna rap too. Where's my rap out? Speaker 1
Matt, it's like an homage to Katie's rap cold open. That's why tan did it. Speaker 0
Who side are you on? Speaker 1
I'm on the side that records the intro so we can start the show. Speaker 0
See, I know what's up. I know he's not fooling anyone. Speaker 0
Come on. He's sandbagging me, Greg. Two. Trace. Obviously doesn't think I can wrap. Speaker 1
So now you gotta axe to grind with Tate Webb. The nice folks who write our lyrics for the low low price of free? Speaker 0
Oh, no. Not Liz. Love Liz. Me and Liz, we cool. No. It's web I got beef with. I'm putting him on blast. He's trying to take me down. Speaker 1
Matt, can we please just do the limerick. Speaker 0
Oh, you want me to do a limerick, Al? Okay, Al. Al, okay. I got a limerick for you. Quiet on set. What's that trace? You think I can't rap? A Kiso shout out and I'm off your map? Hard to believe I'm up for debate We need less web and a little more tate. Now how do you like them apples? Chap? Speaker 1
I'm gonna start the show now. Man, you're so proud of yourself with that Speaker 0
was so much fun. Speaker 0
Ali, he even let me write the limerick for that. Speaker 10
Well, no. He goes, Hey, we need to write, like, an intentionally bad limerick, and I felt terrible when it when when he when he sent it to me, and he goes, he goes, something like this. And I go, no. That's fucking hit. Speaker 1
If you look up bad limerick in the dictionary, this is what you'll find. Speaker 2
It's like nailed it. Speaker 2
time. Good job, buddy. Speaker 13
It looks like we were Speaker 0
I don't think we revised it almost at all. Speaker 1
I should be proud of that, Matt. Alright. Here we go. Here's Victor giving his rating for this episode. Speaker 11
It's I'm very curious about what happens in the next episode now. I have not watched ahead. I am gonna be watching, just in time before our our shows. But, so I'm very intrigued. And I I think that's that's a good thing about an episode when it kind of leaves you wondering what's gonna happen next. I think without the music video, this would have been teetering between fresh and and, clearance for me as an episode. Speaker 11
mean, they went ahead and wrote a whole song and recorded a video with some of the most exciting, eye candy that you'll, have a chance to see in twenty twenty four. So I think, you know, it's it's you know, Speaker 1
I And it's only January. Speaker 11
Exactly. So I think you're, you know, you have to give it a fresh. Speaker 1
Okay. Alright. And, that episode was a unicorn. I mean, as Victor goes, if he's giving it a fresh, no one else there, give it something else. Tanya, Matt, myself Victor and Zach agreed. It was a fresh. Even though Zach is also a hater of country music, but, he recognized that, you know, creating that song and that video. It's just so perfect. And Twitter agreed. Eighty one point four percent gave it a fresh sixteen point nine gave it a clearance and one point seven gave it a, compost. That might be one of the higher fresh ratings actually for season twelve. So I think there are a lot of people who appreciated the the song in this one. So let's start with you, Trace. What what would you give this episode? Speaker 10
This one, I would give a fresh Mhmm. That That was such a money cold open dude. I mean, that was so freaking good. I could watch that over and over. But, yeah, it it was good, and it harkened it back to, you know, the big group dynamic back and forth interplay and Mhmm. I love anything with Dickens in it.
Speaker 1
Now coming from where you where you live, you're kinda in the heart of country music land there. What did you think of Sundarts?
Speaker 10
I mean, I could turn on the damn radio show you five hundred songs. Sound exactly like it.
Speaker 1
Right? So they got it right. I mean, they they they set up. Yeah. They set up with what they
Speaker 3
always read. Arguing that.
Speaker 1
I know. I know. But I just, yeah, I just, I thought they did a great job with that. Despite it being country music, Casey, why did you give this one?
Speaker 2
I gave it a high clearance. I just wasn't bought into how quickly dairy cut, like, was cutting and running.
Speaker 2
Like I I just didn't buy that. I understand about the teenage thing now. But there were good points. Like, Katie asking Mc Murray, how do you know what AI is and his response was, quote, that's what porno sites use to show you what you might like to jerk off to. Which is true.
Speaker 3
Yes. And very on brand for his character.
Speaker 2
It's like the perfect line. And then Stewart, Sharon Lewis, and Rem. And every time he says, Hick, shit, I don't know why, but I really like that phrase.
Speaker 1
But you're still you're still giving this one a clearance.
Speaker 2
Yeah. Because it left me cranky.
Speaker 2
Here's the thing. Like, I wanna I wanna be happy, and the first one was a low fresh because it made me feel like, oh, we are getting too old for this shit. Right. And that's confirmed a little later on. But then, like, episode two was just like, okay. We can do this and we can have fun.
Speaker 2
But I just dairy leaving just I'm not I don't like it. Doesn't feel good.
Speaker 8
I never heard anyone say we could have fun in like, less enthusiastic otherwise.
Speaker 1
Yeah. We can have fun. Aaron.
Speaker 7
So I gave it a fresh. And if we're thinking of dairy with his puberty, the blood is not in his brain. It's down somewhere else.
Speaker 7
And he is following the ladies.
Speaker 7
So, that hopefully may put a I know some perspective. I, really enjoyed the in-depth assessment of country music, by role in old in Stewart. Their charts were helpful and thoughtful. And the research and guidance, they did a very nice job creating a a lovely thoughtful site.
Speaker 3
Whiteboard was amazing. Yeah. That whiteboard's great.
Speaker 7
Yeah. Adored it. It was, it was beautiful. And did you guys mention that, that how she's named after topper Harley, which is the dude from Hotshots
Speaker 0
Yeah. I got that. Don't worry. I got that.
Speaker 7
Okay. Thank you. I just wanna make sure that was noted.
Speaker 1
Awesome. Liz, sorry, not awesome, but Go ahead, Liz.
Speaker 1
I gotta come up with different ages. Sorry.
Speaker 8
I gave it a fresh. Also because I did really like the the country. I was raised on country. I'm not really a country fan now, but it is definitely the genre that I grew up with. And they did give a shout out to Fish in the dark, which to me is the best country song ever. And,
Speaker 1
Ten agrees, apparently.
Speaker 8
Yeah. And I do have to say, so my like, other favorite line ever in this episode was I don't remember the whole, like, thing with it, but it Poly Darden when they said polydarton enrolled says that was his drag name.
Speaker 3
Oh, I have a fun fact about that.
Speaker 3
That's a Trevor risk joke.
Speaker 1
I'm not surprised. Yeah. Paulie I'm
Speaker 3
not allowed to ask me how I know.
Speaker 8
Okay. Alright. It's good enough to know that you know.
Speaker 8
So anyways, that that was all I wrote down. But, yeah.
Speaker 1
Nice. Alright. Awesome. Okay.
Speaker 3
It is my turn now. Mhmm. Just clarifying.
Speaker 3
Okay. I give this episode of very high fresh. It is just some classic sitcom hijinx bullshit.
Speaker 3
Like, this whole episode is just a vehicle to dick around and have fun making music video, which is hilarious. And it's just That part that, you know, that b plot or that's the a plot, really. That is that that's the thing that I enjoy the most about Letter Kenny. The b plot with dairy, yeah, it is a little weird how quick he goes to just cutting out Wayne and Katie and Dan, but with Aaron's comment about him going through, like, second puberty or whatever. It does make sense. It makes sense. Because, you know, kids when they're when you're a teenager and you're, like, really pushing the boundaries and discovering who you are, you throw yourself wholeheartedly into things. So with with that perspective, I I can buy it.
Speaker 9
I gave it a fresh. The Dickens, his line with let go girls was probably the funniest fucking thing Oh.
Speaker 0
The whole episode.
Speaker 3
I saw the fuck out when he
Speaker 9
He said it with the deadpan face, I laughed out loud so hard.
Speaker 3
Yeah. That's true. Take me back to high school and line dancing.
Speaker 9
There there's a radio show down here that they play a a game called Redneck Bingo, and you you just list out words And that reminded me of this entire episodes.
Speaker 1
Very cool. Alright. And we move on to MVP's, for this one here, Tania gave it to Dickens. For no doubt for his performance. Matt gave it to Sundarts, the song. Victor gave it to AI and bots the writer writers of the song? I gave it to the skids just because I enjoyed the way they broke down. You know, what made up a, the perfect country song. And Zach gave it to Dickens as well. So, Trace, who do you give your MVP to?
Speaker 10
Dickens. He commands every freaking scene he's in. Mhmm. I said,
Speaker 3
he's four ten dummy. Yeah.
Speaker 1
Yeah. That'll do it. That's easy to do. Casey, stir. Stir. Every time he says Pop
Speaker 1
Was it? Hit shit.
Speaker 9
Yeah. Everything.
Speaker 13
Shit. Shit. Shit.
Speaker 3
Shit. Hammer's so hard on that sound. Mhmm. Shit. Like It's
Speaker 2
it's fart book, Hygiene stays, and it's cool. Mhmm. He's like, I he saves the episode for me.
Speaker 7
Aaron. Stuart enrolled all the way great lesson plan way to go.
Speaker 13
Alright, Liz? Mhmm.
Speaker 1
Dickens. Awesome.
Speaker 3
I would Dickens is my runner-up. I'm giving it to Jim Cuddy. Who is the guy who he actually recorded Sundarts.
Speaker 1
The legend from blue rodeo. Very good. And Tom.
Speaker 9
Yep. It's a Sundarts.
Speaker 1
Sundarts. You're with Adam on this one. Yep. Alright.
Speaker 3
This conversation makes me wanna have a dart right now. So let's keep this rolling.
Speaker 1
Yeah. I I like, awesome in a hurry. Here we go. Episode three. The title is I'm a DJen, and our guest was our buddy from, from Australia. J Jess. And, we have here the hottest new writing team of Wright and Trolinger give Tate and Webb a run for their money with this Fire cold open.
Speaker 0
Things are tense as the episode begins. Now that Dairy and the De gens are friends. A new friend and Katie have fun, but could Wayne and Rosie be done? On to snoopers with the skids in the end.
Speaker 14
Okay. We'll be there in letter, Kenny, in an hour or so. Any idea where you wanna go or what you wanna do?
Speaker 12
Not really. Let me look up some things to do. Things to do in letter And, oh, this looks interesting.
Speaker 14
Oh, are there any good places to eat?
Speaker 12
There's a one star rating here titled Bad Restaurant. From a user called Slippy Balenboy seven. This rebald restaurant has a despicable taste in music. The so called DJ is used in an ipod nano filled with pop star mashups with Taudhry Pural lyrics and a simple dance baseline. They should be playing the latest in underground Nigerian neuro folk. Even Neoapolitan funk would be better than the trash played by them. I will not be patronizing this establishment. Speaker 14
Okay then. I'm not even sure what I was supposed to take from that. It sounds like it was written by someone nestled firmly under Deha Top Speaker 12
Right. Maybe we could try this place. Modines, from user Karen, one star review. Modines three is a very unsanitary establishment. I went to use the bathroom after having a very undercooked mojito chicken breast and greasy fries. There's excrement on the outside of the toilet and on the walls of stall. On top of it all, the bartender and waiter were making suggestive comments about my husband. I will not be eating here again. Speaker 14
Do you think there's something Speaker 12
Absolutely, Cassie. Cassie. Wait. There's a reply from the owner to that one. You can just Right off. My chicken is the best you'll ever have, and your hubby was making eyes of me the whole night. I was flicking all night from seeing that bear of a man. Post has been edited by moderators due to the graphic nature of the response. Speaker 14
And, where did those beats come from? You Speaker 14
Never mind. There's gotta be somewhere we can go. Right? Speaker 12
It's a one star, one point five stars dollar store, smells like Speaker 12
I want to like this place, but I'd give it zero stars if I oh, here we go. Five stars. Speaker 14
thank goodness. What you got there? Speaker 12
The produce stand, five stars. This family owned and run produce stand is everything you'll ever need. Stop in for fresh produce, tards made with love or just a chat and a laugh. Every time we come here, it feels just like home. Speaker 1
Cassie and Justin, Trondier, such such a good job. Thank you so much for proud of him. Yeah. Speaker 3
I'm calling it early. Justin, what's so voice. The way he changed his voice is my MVP. Speaker 1
for this one here, I have to play a couple of clips from this episode because is so many good ones. For example, this one here explaining why Victor saves so much money in travel insurance. Speaker 5
Speaking of travel, I need to take a Twitter poll on something that's recently come to, to light. I wanna know what is normal. Isn't normal when you're going up? Who does this? I wanna I wanna know. If you're going on vacation, do you plan to, like, what happens if you die while you're on vacation? Like, do you yeah. This is what I wanna know. Is this like a weird family trait that we have that my family has, or is this a other people thing? Like, when you go, do you say, okay, here are my documents. So if I don't make it back, Speaker 11
you have a little you have a little kid still, Tanya. So, like, I Speaker 5
think Did you use to do that then when they Speaker 1
get really low? My parents, whenever they went Speaker 11
to Portugal, I always Speaker 1
Where the will is and and where the paper the Speaker 5
important papers are. Oh, yeah. I get Speaker 1
it all the time. Speaker 5
But I wanna know does everybody do Is that, like, a a global thing? Or is that just, like, people with high anxiety problems? Speaker 1
I'm surprised actually Victor because I thought like, soviets were like, yeah, doom and gloom. Like, you you expect to die on every trip. And therefore, you you're prepared. Speaker 11
No. No. Because my because like Linda, believes with all her heart that if there's a plane crash and there's one survivor, Speaker 15
it will likely be me. Speaker 0
That might be the quote on Speaker 15
Yeah. Because they Speaker 1
don't even start it. Yeah. And I completely totally believe that. I'm with Linda there. You're right. If somebody's gonna survive, it'll be Victor. Speaker 2
We should start a sports book on that. Like, we should There's like start now. Speaker 1
Liz, you said that you you put your hand up. You said that you totally do that or or your family does that? Speaker 8
Well, yeah. And I I guess it didn't occur to me that it wasn't a thing until Tanya asked that. And, my mom totally did it when she went to Japan last time and I don't have an actual will, but I did do a little handwritten one when I went to Costa Rica because all of a sudden I was like, Well, holy fuck. Like, what's gonna happen to, like, my jewelry and stuff? Like, clearly, it's gonna go to my kid at some point, but what happens in between then? And then what about my dog? Like, I promised her that Like Speaker 0
I said, you led with your jewelry, though. Speaker 3
If you're living in a material world, Matt. My kid Speaker 8
goes to her dad. Speaker 1
Your jewelry goes to your dog. Yeah. That makes sense. Speaker 8
Where he goes? Yes. Because Daisy, look at on. Great in platinum. Speaker 3
She's a queen. She deserves it. Such a queen. Speaker 8
Snow in queen, but yes. Alright. So, yeah, we do. Speaker 1
So there you go. See? Speaker 3
I was gonna say I think it might be a Catholic thing because my Irish grandparents did that shit. Speaker 3
Every time they go on a trip, they'd be like, okay. Your house sitting come over here. This is the escrow card. This is where all the important documents are. Speaker 8
That was my mom. So it's where they are. Speaker 5
I'm glad to know that that's a normal thing because Speaker 1
Well, I don't know what normal because I think only three out of out of twelve people here. Speaker 3
Hey. Hey. Fuck you well. Speaker 9
No. I think it's a generational thing. Speaker 5
Yeah. I don't know. It it seems really, really messed up. Speaker 8
Will Casey for your trip tomorrow? Speaker 2
I'm really would like to move on from this conversation because I am having card. Alright. Speaker 1
And k. Let's listen to the second clip. Speaker 0
Come into Canada. You're Speaker 1
good. Yeah. Let's listen to the second clip. Speaker 9
Over the fact that Victor just said Fuck them kids, basically. Speaker 1
Yeah. He doesn't care. He comes from the Soviet Union. Speaker 3
If you've ever listened to Victor for five minutes, that should not be a surprise. Speaker 1
Alright. Let's just a second clip from this one here. This is Matt talking about the cold open from this episode. When he comes to an important realization. Speaker 5
It was a research project. He needed to know if he was the dick or if voters were the Speaker 1
dick. Go ahead, man. Speaker 0
And I understand the the concept. Like, what you can you can relate it to anything where something is in tight quarters. Right? It's the whole idea is that when you're in tight quarters somewhere in situation like that. If someone's a dick, you're hooked in. Like, you're stuck with that shit, and you just have to play it out. So I can understand the logic, I mean, I've been on lots of boats I have. Maybe I'm Speaker 0
I don't know. I was gonna say I was about to say. I don't remember anybody. Very likely. Speaker 11
You remember he remembers getting Speaker 1
Where's the day kind of boat? I love that. Speaker 13
Well, played, Matt. Speaker 3
Damn it. Little personal revelation. Speaker 1
Yeah. Alright. That one there. That episode got a clearance from Tanya myself, and, fresh from Matt, and a compost from Victor, and our buddy Jess also gave it a fresh. Twitter, gave it a, you know, sixty four point six percent, gave it fresh. Thirty one point three clearance and one point two compost. So let's start with Casey this time. What do you give this one? Speaker 2
I gave it a compost as well. I've never been to continue irritated scene to scene as I was during this episode. Wow. Everything felt aggressive from, like, the conversation with Rosie. There was passive aggressiveness there. The skids cutting the line at modines, like, that seemed pretty aggressive. And, I like, they're really gonna cut Gail's lines. I don't know. And then the bump that the new chick gave Wayne on the weight of car. It just it left me cranky. And even when I went back and watched it twice for homework this week, I only wrote, like, my notes are pretty extensive. I only wrote Boting a boat because it made me think of a mennonite dude from that season. Speaker 3
Yeah. Bob The homeless witness. Speaker 2
Whatever. Yeah. Yeah. The the latter day saint of a boat. Speaker 1
What's that boat? Speaker 1
about not dents, and isn't it? It's about Speaker 2
that's what it's about not drinking. Speaker 8
Alright. My name is Bob. Speaker 1
Erin, what are what about you? What did you think of this one? Speaker 7
Oh, I You know, I said that I would never give anything but a fresh, and I I wrote down clearance with a question mark. Speaker 7
you gonna shock myself? Speaker 2
Honestly. It's all coming out now. Speaker 1
I feel the torment in your soul right now, Eric. Speaker 7
I I I feel There are writers that worked on this. There are actors that Speaker 2
show up with it. Speaker 0
Yeah. Eric can find the good in everything. Yeah. Speaker 7
I I get it. And I People Speaker 3
can work their hearts out, but it might just not be to your taste Speaker 7
And I I only had time to watch. This is the second time I've watched it. And so I I feel like it was just a lot of things just didn't go anywhere. It was just the scenes would happen. Like, Lily was a great character and then all of a sudden, boom, you're coming after Wayne. What this. Sure. You know, it was just everything was starting out and then just didn't wrap around my brain as well as I'd like it to. But You guys worked really hard on this episode. So Speaker 1
The clearance. Okay. No problem. Speaker 3
You're jumping out. Speaker 1
All good. It's I mean, case you're charging, like, Speaker 10
he sees Aaron goes, I broke her. Speaker 1
Liz, what'd you give it? Speaker 8
I too just really wanted to give it a fresh just because it's the final season, but I I actually gave it a clearance, but low clearance. Like, I did a little arrow down to compost, like Wow. Because I I yeah. I I can't say I was as cranky as Casey, but, I didn't like Rosie having that conversation on the phone. Even if it was on FaceTime. I didn't didn't like the whole thing with I liked the thing with Lily because originally, I actually that her and Katie were gonna be partners in that. Right. You know, I thought that that was gonna be a fun twist on stuff. And the first the first time I watched but, I funny did actually write the whole boat thing with the boat with the Bob. Mhmm. Because that was probably one of my Speaker 8
And yeah. So, yeah, I I Misello Clarets. Speaker 1
Alright then. Awesome. Are you there? Speaker 3
Yeah. I thought she was right here. Speaker 3
Uh-huh. She's in a hurry. Speaker 2
I'll settle down. Speaker 3
This is the episode where you really start to see, like, the first bits of of Mickey being like a real manipulative shit coming out. And, like, it's it's it's on the line. It's foreshadowing what happens in the next episode. Even though he was creepy before that you could just some people could write that off and be like, no. He's just awkward. Right? But no, no. He's genuinely creepy, and he is genuinely manipulative shit. And this is where it starts getting real when the rubber meets the road. Lily. I actually agree with Casey. Her come on to Wayne was really, really aggressive. And it is so unexpected because I I also thought that, she and Katie were gonna hook up. Because they had, you know, so much in common in Speaker 8
in great chemistry. Speaker 3
Likes having yeah. They have great chemistry. And Katie likes having stuff in common with her partners. That's that seems where that, like, that where what that was going. And also, I've been saying for, like, twelve series, let Katie date a woman if she's by, let her act by, you know, Like, not that that defines her or anything, but, you know, just hooking up with women and then only dating dudes kind of So, my my rating is a clearance. Wow. Speaker 0
the show. Yeah. I wish Speaker 8
we could have screenshot Alan Tan. Speaker 2
This is the realest. Of the real. You know? Speaker 1
You're getting the hippo from, Victor, too. Speaker 10
Yeah. We're breaking all kinds. Speaker 5
Thank god. Not your first. Is that your, like, one and only ever night is giving anything but a frat. Wow. Speaker 1
You're right, Casey. I am recording this. So I think, our patrons are gonna see our reaction to awesome clearance. Amazing. Wow. Speaker 8
Write that time down. Damn. Speaker 3
Yeah. No. It just, there wasn't anything really Speaker 3
That stood out to me or hooked me in a positive way or made me feel positively. Speaker 1
Alright. So Tom. Speaker 9
It was, you know, one of those meh, episodes. I that damn basement made me feel so goddamn dirty. I had to go take a shower after Speaker 13
Yeah. Holy shit. Like, Speaker 3
you like Tanner said, right? This place smells like feet. But you know it's not like regular normal feet. It's like, whole nail fungus feet. It's like cottage cheese. Speaker 1
No. Port Tracy's gonna log off soon. So Tom, what do you give this one? Speaker 9
I gave it a clearance. Speaker 1
Claring? Alright. And trace, I'll let you collect yourself there after that, foot reference. What do you get Speaker 7
this one? The hip hop was followed by the blue spatula. I know. Speaker 13
Thank you. Oh, I Speaker 10
didn't even I'm sorry. I didn't even realize that was a true speaker. Speaker 3
It wasn't. It genuine wasn't. I was quoting Tannis. Speaker 1
What do you give this one, Trace? Speaker 10
Okay. Dig it. This was a dog shit episode. Oh. This was an absolute dog shit episode. Wow. Writing was horrible. The jokes sucked. Speaker 10
I mean, they were terrible. They were, like, half assed letter kenny jokes. I mean, they wrote in the style of letter kenny, but it's like, Did anybody give a second or third pass over any of this crap? It's crazy. Yeah. I'm telling you. Speaker 11
I'm saying you're just not beating around the bush Speaker 10
I mean, it was. It was. It was. It was a you've given it a low clearance and oh, okay. There. Speaker 1
I know when he came out of the gate, I'm like, wow, we're gonna get a compost from Tracy. Speaker 10
No. No. I mean, it's it wasn't compost, but god, it was fucking close. Speaker 3
It advances the storylines that they've put forward in very explicit ways. Speaker 3
Yeah. It's just not there's nothing there. Like, if that's what they set out to accomplish, that's fine. But there's nothing deeper there. Alright. It's just plot fodder. Speaker 1
So, the MVPs went to I gave it to Dairy for this one. I don't I forget why. Tania gave it to Margaritas, which is ironic, considering what took her out next the next week. Matt gave it to rolled. Victor. Speaker 8
I wanna hear Victor. Speaker 1
Victor gave it to the end credits. So I think he's on the same page as Trace, and, and Jazz gave it to the skids. So let's move on from this one. This one seems to be Speaker 5
We're not gonna ask for MVPs. Speaker 1
Oh, yeah. I guess we should. Casey. Speaker 5
We're just gonna move on. Speaker 5
Let's go sweep this one under the rug. Speaker 1
Yeah. MVP case, we're not able to Sorry? Speaker 3
She's giving it to that JW lead. Speaker 1
Alright. Erin, how about you? Speaker 7
I give it to Gail. She had some funny lines. Speaker 1
Gail. Mhmm. She found a silver lining there. Thank Speaker 8
I gave it to the puppies, because there was puppies in the cold open, and I'm gonna miss the puppies, and then also the, people that Rosie shows. Wayne when she's trying to convince him to move to Vancouver because, I did rescue a pitbull, and so they had my Speaker 8
The puppies. It was a very cute pit bull. Speaker 3
What's his name? Tank? Yeah. Speaker 8
I I think she just called him shithead. Speaker 3
Yeah. I agree with Victor, but I'm also standing by my earlier statement. The MVP of this episode was Justin Trollinger's voice over. Speaker 1
Oh, he's v o. Okay, Tom? Speaker 9
Tannis. Tannets. Speaker 9
Tannets. Tannets. Tannets. Speaker 3
I think we all overlooked that. No. That's very fair. Can I amend my answer? Speaker 1
You wanna change yours to Tannis? Okay. Speaker 3
Yeah. Because, like, Trolinger's voice over was the MVP of the podcast. Speaker 1
Right. But not not of the letter. Yeah. Sounds good. Yeah. Speaker 10
one redeeming scene in this whole thing. And probably the thing they kept it from, being, compost, was, Roland Stewart and, Connor and Darren as well, but that That was good. Everything else around it is like it's like, Stewart enrolled, willed that to be moderately watchable. Speaker 1
Alright then. Let's move on to episode four. Snooters. And our guest for that one was Sarah, a k a molasses. And, don't say we'd we don't take big swings on this podcast because this high concert cold open could've been a shit show. Could've been a shit show. And depending on who you ask, it might have been. I personally loved it. Here we go. Speaker 11
Okay. So why am I here on an off day? Speaker 1
That you're wondering why you're here on an off day? Speaker 11
Yeah. It had me thinking. Speaker 1
Okay. So, yeah. So I thought it'd be fun since this is the final season. We all take a go at the limerick. Speaker 11
The limerick? Yes. The intro limerick? Yes. Thanks. And I can tell you're excited about this new idea and direction. But I'm gonna pass. Speaker 11
Liz and Trace write them. Matt reads them. You record them. No Victor needed. Speaker 1
Oh, no. Everybody thinks this is a great idea. Speaker 11
Yeah. Has everybody signed off on it? Speaker 1
Absolutely, man. Speaker 11
Okay. No. But Liz said she'd Speaker 1
put a hippo in it. Speaker 11
A hippo in a limerick? Tempting. Right? No. Fuck. Speaker 1
Okay. Trace said they'd write a rap for you. Speaker 11
L. Two things. First off, Nothing would make my night, strike that. Nothing would go further in making my life worth living more than to get a rap instead of Matt who's so desperately wants one. Speaker 1
Man, what's the second thing? Speaker 11
Oh, yeah. No. Victor. Come on. Al, talk to me. What's this all about? What are you trying to get at? We got a good thing. People are taking time out of their lives to listen to the show. And you know why? We're the go to Letter Kenny podcast because we have a format they like. And have come to expect. Speaker 1
And just thought it might be nice to spice it up. You know, keep it fresh. Speaker 11
Will that be enough, Al? Or are you gonna keep trying to maneuver the pieces of what already a perfect setup. Which episode is it anyway? Snooters. Snooters. The one where the hicks are all wishy washy on staying in Letter Kenny, Should I go to Mexico and stay drunk on a beach? Should I follow Rosie to Vancouver and rescue pitbulls? Yeah. Verked is in buddy. I'm probably gonna hate that one. So as far as me doing the limerick, I must respectfully decline. Speaker 1
Okay. Well, I tried, but it doesn't know right. Speaker 11
No hurt feelings? Speaker 1
Of course not. I've got everything I need. Speaker 11
Wait. What? Gotta go Victor, see you Thursday. Al. Were you recording? Speaker 1
Bye, Victor. No limerick on my ass. Time for some editing. Here we go. Speaker 11
High night at Newuters, has everybody thinking about the direction their lives are taking. Well, the Hicks maneuver to Mexico or Vancouver or his life in Letter Kenny worth making. Speaker 3
Chris Katherine boob grab Speaker 13
because he can't Speaker 2
contain himself. This is too much. This is too much. Speaker 5
That's my first time Speaker 0
So proud of that one. Speaker 0
It's so dumb. Kinda hold it so amazing. Look. It's alright. Speaker 1
Yeah. The writing the writing of that alone is is is impressive. I mean, first you gotta write a limerick and then you write all that script to make sure the words are there. And, just, yeah, well done. Speaker 5
Oh, that was so perfect. Speaker 10
This was a classic example of you throw a germ of not dead, Matt. Yeah. And he just goes. Speaker 10
Here's what it's gonna do. And I go. Okay. And he goes, can you do that? Sure. And he's like, a rat. It's gonna be awesome. Okay. Speaker 0
And I just sit back and wait for the chaos to assume. It's amazing. Speaker 10
was sitting there, I was like, when it when we when we put it out there, I thought, god. I mean, when I heard it, I was thinking And I think at some point, Matt goes, you know, the worst it sounds the better. Speaker 1
It's pretty damn good then, I think. Speaker 0
Oh, it was everything I could have dreamed it was gonna Speaker 1
be. Alright. The Speaker 8
just don't want competition. Speaker 1
Yeah. The next clip I picked pulled from this, I actually forgot to write a note for it. So I have your guess as good as mine as what it's gonna be. Let's listen to it together. Here we go. Speaker 2
And on that note, I have to say I had to say. To everyone on Reddit or everywhere else who's crying Kiso for wolverine, no. Give me Kiso as Bruce Wayne in Batman, and then we can talk. Because the he's got the steeliness. He's got the poise, like, the way he he's just Speaker 1
It's got the jaw line too. Speaker 2
Oh, fucking hell. Right? Speaker 11
Yeah. But he doesn't worry about some Batman. Where's the utility belt? Speaker 1
Batman, man. Where's your utility belt? I got pants of fucking fit. Speaker 2
see how much better it works? Speaker 9
No. It only gives Speaker 2
Like, it's just so much better that Wayne is back. Mhmm. Bruce Wayne, Wayne. Hello? Speaker 1
Yes. I I remember now when I clipped down Alright. This episode here got a fresh Speaker 3
She's having her red string moment right Speaker 8
here. Red string. Speaker 2
tampon reference? Speaker 1
That's when I tire. Speaker 3
That's the conspiracy theory wall reference. Speaker 5
Oh, red string that you're, like, Gotcha. To see. I thought tampon was right. Okay. Speaker 8
tampon, like, your name in your yard. Speaker 1
Alright. This one here, it was from the upside down world because, you got a fresh from Victor and myself and our guest Sarah, but a clearance from Casey and Matt So let's start with Aaron. What do you give this one? Speaker 7
I use the brush. This is the fourth episode. Speaker 7
What did I say? I I wrote down about Tannis and Wayne's heart to heart. It was really sweet. The town is starting to fight back when one of them is leaving for Mexico. So if the town like, anyone leaves, there's a terror in the matrix or there's a whatever and, like, everyone kind of comes to repair it. And then I for some reason, stop Speaker 3
jerking off. Me? No. I wasn't turning off. Speaker 0
I was like down. No. Speaker 5
Hand is going up and down. Speaker 2
It's a podcast. Nobody could see Speaker 0
Yeah. You do you boo. Speaker 7
Yeah. So the the clips that, were more welcome on the second viewing, nostalgia love, but Speaker 7
Yeah. I don't know. I don't know. I said poor puppy Wayne. I don't know what that means. Making his sad size nines, and then the gun game, like, what the hell? Speaker 7
on. Dude zig zag. You don't run straight line. You gotta Speaker 1
Super team. Yeah. Speaker 7
Thank you. And then, you know, dairy with his puberty and just second guessing whether or not these are really friends. And Wayne get out of the threes. Okay. Thank you. It was fresh. Speaker 8
I did also call it a fresh. I I actually kinda like the cold open with the deejans, with the whole truck thing. Speaker 8
But only because I thought it was kinda clever. But I just I really I really hate that these guys. I just I hate them so much, and I know that that's what they're supposed to do, and that's how they're supposed to be. But the fact that the way that Mick was just like manipulating everything, and it was just it was just like, and I just I don't know. I didn't like it. And, hang on. I wrote something down and I was trying to make sure it was for the right episode. So someone, I think it was probably Wayne said that the three l's relieve life lived. No. Speaker 3
That was, what's her nuts? Definitely. Yeah. That's lovely. Yeah. And Speaker 8
then I I wrote down because I think I'm clever. I call them the four l's leave Liz's life lived. Speaker 1
So There you go. And, you know, when Speaker 8
they were really mean to dogs, and I hated that. Speaker 1
Yes. Yes. I I too like that cold open. I thought it was enjoyable, but you're right. Yeah. The degenerents are are they're they're they're succeeding in what they're they're they do and just to make you hate them. Awesome. Speaker 3
Yeah. So this episode is the payoff for the previous episode. Right? This really is where you get to see how manipulative and what a piece of shit Mick really is. Right? And the co lope, and I find interesting because Gary knows that what Mick is doing is wrong. Like, he has his own internal code of ethics because of, you know, being raised with Wade and Katie and knowing them his whole life. He's got a strong, you know, moral and ethical code. Yeah. He knows what Mick is doing is wrong. Speaker 7
Synapses don't really fire very well during puberty. Speaker 3
Well, no. Here's You stay He Speaker 3
it's wrong, but he still, like, goes with it. Like, he makes you can see him evaluating moment to moment what is happening and choosing to go along with it. Yeah. And then Speaker 3
then later, you see the exact extent of mixed piece of shittery when he confronts Wayne and Katie at the gas station, and then tell some Darryl something completely different. Speaker 3
Like, you know, those events happen, but the spin that he puts on it is just so detached from the reality of that encounter. Speaker 2
Yeah. Not like it's cheese wiz. Speaker 3
Yeah. But, no, genuinely Katie given so Wayne has nothing to say to Mick in that encounter. He tells him to suck his dick and then he clamps up. Good boy. And then Katie telling him if Gary, you know, hurts himself trying to catch a fallen knife referring to, you know, the deejans and their degenerate out in that field. The, you know, Speaker 1
that dog will hunt. Yeah. Speaker 3
Looks at Wayne, that dog will hunt. I'm like, yes. Thank you, queen. I'm an anti monarchist, but queen. Like, this is the extent to which both of these two will go to protect the people they they see as their family, which includes Daryl, even if he is having his, you know, as she says, his DJen honeymoon. Speaker 1
what's your rating? Speaker 3
Like I said, it pays off everything that happened in three Mhmm. And I'm a degener. So it was worth it. Speaker 1
I don't disagree. Tom? Speaker 9
I gave it a fresh. I like the fact that, you know, they took a chance and showed the DJN in-depth. We always heard what pieces of shit they were, but we never saw the the level of their depravity. So, what the fuck was with Wayne hiding in the bushes like Michael Myers? Speaker 1
looking after his buddy. He's Speaker 3
Checking up on there. Yeah. Speaker 1
I I I think it's more like a a reverse Homer Simpson, you know, coming to Speaker 3
all Mary going through delayed puberty or whatever. Wayne, he's still a grown man, and Wayne is gonna let him make his choices because you can't stop somebody from making their own choices. Speaker 2
Getting the lay of the land. Speaker 3
Yes. But he's also gonna keep an eye on his friend in case shit goes sideways like it very well might. Speaker 1
Yeah. Let's move on. Trace? Speaker 10
I give this one. I was waffling on this one. But I went with a a low fresh. Speaker 10
The cold open Man, that's my fucking life, dude. Speaker 13
Sure. Yeah. That's true. Speaker 10
I mean, everybody, like, looks at, like, some kind of this is crazy. No. This is shit I see every day. And, but more so in the last episode, but in this episode, there there there was a certain part of our, the main hicks that really rang unsympathetic, you know, and it's kinda like that. Sorry. Awesome. I really didn't like the way Katie was coming across in this episode. I mean, it was kind of I don't know. It it just it just rang a little ick to me. But Speaker 3
Well, she's ruthless. I'm not saying that she's not. She's definitely ruthless. But less in the defense of a man she sees as her brother just as much as Wayne. Speaker 10
Maybe. But more than any other time, and I've heard other people say that Man, she's it's easy to talk shit with Wayne on your back, man. I mean, it's Speaker 3
That's It's not like Katie doesn't stand up for herself or for people she considers friends. Speaker 10
And again, it's Yeah. I mean, it's easy to talk shit to anybody when you got the toughest guy as a letter can use your brother. Yeah. And, I mean, it's just a little I mean, Should she have just taken the tactic Wayne did, but I don't know. Mhmm. But I otherwise, I I I thought it was good and, the the shots alone as far as, you know, cinematography and stuff that gave me that got that got me over the hump on that one. Speaker 2
I I said what I said the first time around, didn't I compost? Did I compost this one? Or did Speaker 1
is snooters. Oh, what were you Sorry. You put a clearance. You gave it a clearance. Sorry. I forgot you. Speaker 2
Oh, gave it a clearance. Yeah. Speaker 1
You were in this episode. Never mind. Okay. Speaker 11
Gotcha. Sounds good. Thanks, though. Speaker 1
Yeah. Thanks. Victor or sorry. Let's see here. In this one here, Victor gave the MVP to Radass. I gave it to Mickey. Casey gave it to the Naird squirrel. Matt gave it to Mickey. And and Sarah gave it to Raleigh and Jonesy. Aaron, who who to give your MVP to? Speaker 7
I gave it to Tannis, just for helping the boys and then, Speaker 13
growing up on their on her reflections. Speaker 8
I kinda feel like I've been channeling Victor, because I did write feed shots and flashbacks. Because I thought that the, you know, when you could see the feet in the snooters and how they were talking and everything. Speaker 8
And, then I did I did love the flashbacks because I always love a good flashback. Speaker 1
Okay. So sorry. He gave it to what? Then what's your Speaker 8
Beat shots and flashbacks. Speaker 1
Beat shots and flashbacks. Okay. Speaker 0
Totally, totally reasonable. Speaker 1
I think Matt disagrees. Awesome. Speaker 3
That's okay. I am all going to channel Victor, but in a slightly different way, I'm giving it to the song that plays while we see the run and gun. Speaker 10
Good thong. Oh, okay. Speaker 3
Facts. That's on the books. Incredible regard. Speaker 1
What's the name of the game? Speaker 3
What's awesome? AC's nerds squirrel is my runner-up. Because that is genuinely the most unhinged thing Stu rat has ever said. Speaker 2
Real eager too. Right? I could narrow a squirrel for you. Speaker 3
narrow a squirrel for you. Like, that's immediately where he goes. Okay. Speaker 9
I gave it. Matt's gonna hate me. It's the flashbacks. Speaker 1
You like the flashbacks? Speaker 0
No. I don't flashbacks too. Speaker 1
That disagree with me. Speaker 9
Even why I love Flutter Caddy. Speaker 1
Mhmm. Yep. Me too. Trace. Speaker 10
I'm gonna catch so much hell for this. I love the direction of the entire snooter scene. Works everybody's just feet. In the bit, what? Yeah. Speaker 1
This is coming from you. Speaker 2
very exciting. This is very fun. Too much. Speaker 0
Shraring of you. Speaker 11
It's off the rails. Speaker 0
It just came. A lot of is not complying. Speaker 5
Bettish is going on there. Speaker 13
it's happening. Speaker 2
We're seeing it happen right now. Go on. Speaker 2
I thought That's how much you like the feet. Speaker 1
Well, he likes it because they were they were clothed feet. They had boots and shoes on. Speaker 10
No. I mean, but, I just thought that I thought that was clever as him. Speaker 0
It really is a fetish. Speaker 2
Yeah. It covers the feet. Right? Super clever. Speaker 0
They don't take them socks off. Speaker 7
Alright. Don't do it. Trace own it. Speaker 1
Let's let's move on episode five. Episode five called stuck, and our guest panelist is the our favorite Cooper, Rebecca Cooper. I'm just kidding Robbie. We we love you too. And, here we go. Our the cold open for this one was another great Taiden web production. Hey, Matt. How's it going? Ready to knock out the intro? Speaker 0
Yep. Let's do it. Speaker 1
You got the file from Liz and Trace? Speaker 0
Yeah, I do. You look over this yet? Speaker 1
Haven't had a chance to. Why? Speaker 0
It's title Letter Kenny, Final Season, Al's super special intro. Speaker 0
Hold on. Dear Al in keeping with creating an epic and exciting intro for each of the hosts. We wrote this one for you, big guy. I hope you like it. Love you bunches, Tate and Webb. Speaker 1
Goody. Can't wait. Speaker 0
Al, it's, just a limerick. Speaker 0
Yeah. No clever setups, no high concept comedy, no artful homages to let her Kenny opens a past, no epic existential free verse, No multi character theatrical, skit, no catchy songs, and Al. Yeah. Not surprisingly, no rap. Talk about half ass in it. Speaker 1
Oh, so hang on. I don't have to mix anything, overdub anything, cut anything, paste anything, add music to anything, format anything, matte. I don't have to do any editing. Speaker 0
It's not. I told you they're kinda phoning it in this week. Speaker 1
They they they really did make the intro special for me this week. Are you crying? Shut up and read the limerick. Speaker 0
Here we go now. For Dairy, things are getting tough. And Wayne has had about enough. But with a heart that's shattered and his friends all are scattered, his Saturday is looking pretty rough. Alright. Speaker 1
Yes. That was the perfect limit, a cold open for me. Thank you, Liz, and Trace. Speaker 3
Today's cold open. Speaker 1
Yeah. Yeah, I guess, exactly. The today's cold open had lots of editing and sound effects, complete opposite. Alright here. In this clip, for this episode, I talk about the crowning moment in the episode. Wayne coming out not in a checkered shirt, but in camo. Like, He's fucking serious. He's he's going in to extract his buddy from behind enemy lines. That that that was like a total military you Speaker 11
know, you've never gotten to that is all I'm No. Speaker 1
Okay. One hundred percent agree, but you then you wouldn't have a story. Ten. Yeah. What'd you think? Speaker 11
It's the three team league again. Speaker 3
Here, it's gonna find you on a street corner fight you one of these days, Victor. Speaker 1
Find my schedule too long. Speaker 2
Hug in. It's our hugs. It's our it's okay. Speaker 13
This special one can Speaker 0
He got one for you though. Speaker 1
God damn it. Tania's doing her best, son's going down there, big guy, join us. Speaker 3
Yeah. Tell her sexy voice. Right? Speaker 1
Oh, man. Alright. This one here. Final rating. Matt gave it a fresh Victor clearance. Well, the rest of us get we all gave it a fresh except for Victor, and the internet or Twitter, gave sixty nine per percent gave it a fresh twenty eight point two gave it a clearance. Sorry, twenty eight point six and twenty eight or two point four gave it a compost. So start with you, Liz. What did you think of this episode? Speaker 8
I gave it a fresh. Mhmm. Because I do feel like we're kind of like back on the upward swing. Speaker 8
It, it was pretty exciting. I felt like, and I've really liked the cold open, and I actually rode on here. Alexander always wins. Like, whenever he's in a cold open, I I just I feel like every every episode is just I I don't know. I just I adore him. I love him. I think he's just adorable. But also I liked the scene in the gas station like the convenience store part with Ron and Speaker 8
And So we there was the discussion about how it was bleeped out for us Speaker 2
here in the states. Yes. Speaker 8
Not for you guys. So watching the rewatch again was interesting because the first time I thought it was intentional, I thought, okay, they're making a political statement or, you know, whatever. And then you guys told me that or told us all that. And I was like, oh, that wasn't intentional. That was a hulu thing. And so it actually kinda changed it a little bit for me. So, I I really appreciate it. I I liked how Ron and Dax just kinda like water off a goose's back, you know, and they just went with it. So Alright. Speaker 7
I did. I definitely gave it a fresh. Cool. Speaker 3
Piggy backing off Liz for a second. It does change the flavor of the whole thing, especially considering that in previous series of Letter Kenny Speaker 3
Hulu has not bleeped. Fag. Like, because it's been said a couple of times. Speaker 3
And who's elected to leave it then. Speaker 1
But again, the the whole Hulu Disney thing is is kind of fresh. Right? So, No. Speaker 8
The thing is It's not fresh. It's a compost. Speaker 3
So Disney's owned like sixty percent of Hulu for the last however many years. So the outright acquisition really oughtn't to have changed anything. Speaker 2
So It does on its face though. Speaker 1
Maybe. Tom would did Speaker 3
you have something? Something. Yeah. Speaker 9
I wasn't saying I think Disney owns the hundred percent of it, so I think that changed the whole Speaker 9
way it's gabbed about. Speaker 1
Yeah. Maybe buying the rest, becoming majority. Speaker 3
Beforehand. So why why would it suddenly change? Speaker 2
Oh, but that's because they're branding it. It's because they it wasn't branded. It's a mark it's marketing. It's they're pulling them into the brand. They didn't pull them into the brand before. They were distinct, but now they're bundled and packaged together. Like, it's a It's Speaker 3
a But they've been packaged together for years. Speaker 2
Like Anyway, we can't on the market. Speaker 1
We're not gonna resolve this here, and we need to we need to move this along. Give us a rating there. Speaker 3
No. I think this is a fresh. Although I will say I wish Wayne had pushed back earlier and harder on the word stuck specifically, like use all might feel stuck, but I've got roots here. This is my place. This is my town. This is my home. I love it here. You know, like, the whole concept of being stuck in and of itself can be looked at two ways. So I would have liked that other perspective as well. But yeah, no. I I This is a fresh. This is the payoff for the whole arc. Right? Like, I saw a lot of people on Reddit specifically saying that this was the actual series finale. Speaker 1
we said as much too in our episode six, review. Yeah. Speaker 3
Yeah. Because this is where the story that we've been getting thus far climaxes, and we get a gentleman. And that's actually really interesting was seeing them sitting around the fire and like doing a post mortem on what had just occurred. And it kind of stands in for a postmortem on the entire show to date. Yeah. So, yeah, I I found satisfying. It accomplished everything it set out to do from episode one, ten out of ten, fresh. Speaker 9
I give it fresh. Anybody noticed the band poster of Stuart enrolled on the gas station? Speaker 1
Oh, no. Or are they banned from the gas station? I didn't see it. Nice. Nice. Nice little touch. Trace. Speaker 10
I gave this one a fresh, however many stumbles it took to get there, they brought it home on this one as far as back. That one. And, it was it was a good heartbreaking moments, but whatever. Okay. And but I liked it. I gave Speaker 1
it a refresh. Nice. Casey? Speaker 2
I give it a fresh, coach and Wayne drunk at the same time. Like, Wayne is drunk too. Speaker 2
know there's a lot of focus on coach, but Wayne is also in his drunk mode. I like when Katie said the skids and hockey threw me a party. And Wayne says, he does his little Kenny Stutter because he can't say acapulco. Speaker 1
Oh, right. Right. Yeah. It's I Speaker 2
think that's an adorable little setter. Yeah. And then is Yes, Ron and Dax. I'm not gonna repeat what Liz so beautifully said, like, they own that. But is this The last few minutes of this episode is this the payoff on the dark produce stand at the end of the season eleven wrap up. Like, all these dark vibes. Speaker 2
Like, they just left the end of season. They just left the end of season eleven hanging. The dark produce stand and they never picked that back up. Speaker 2
But it gets real dark at the end of this one. Speaker 1
Interesting. Alright, Aaron. Speaker 7
I gave it a fresh, everyone was kinda questioning their identity and, except for Wayne, and then one by one, they all kind of came back. And then, honestly, the healthiest breakup that Wayne has had that we've seen, so way to go. And Terry has emerged from puberty. His friends. That's a better word. Speaker 0
You're just holding strong on it. Speaker 5
I love I love the analogies. We love it. Speaker 7
His friends have brought him back Speaker 3
I don't wanna say something though. Both of haze breakups with Rosie. Speaker 1
We're we're downright civic, kind of, civil. Yeah. Yes. Speaker 3
Yes. Yes. Yes. Yeah. Except for except for the little, break that they took when Wayne knocked out Bradley. Right. Even then, they had an open dialogue. They were speaking the same language. They understood each other one hundred percent. They just took opposite sides. Yeah. But there was no instability. There was no betrayal or anything. Speaker 7
So I'm saying good. Oh, he breakups. Yeah. Yeah. Speaker 3
His his breakup with Rosie was a hundred percent communication. Speaker 1
Okay. MVP's for this. Matt gave it to McMurray. Victor gave it to Alexander for that cold open. I gave it to Wayne. Tanya gave it to Ron and Bax for that scene in the gas station, and Rebecca gave it to McMurray. Liz, who do you give the MVP to? Speaker 8
I give it to Alexander. Speaker 1
You're with Victor on this one. Yeah. Speaker 8
Because he always wins. Mhmm. Speaker 3
Yeah. It's true. I'm gonna give it to Wayne. Like, he literally put himself between his butt and a bullet. Like, I don't know if there's any greater declaration of, like, love or family feeling or solidarity or loyalty or anything than that. Speaker 3
You know, he put everything on the line. Speaker 9
Wayne. Yeah. Same reason. He showed a well, he showed He showed a lot of vulnerability asking for help three times in his own way. Speaker 1
Yeah. That's true. Yeah. Trace. Speaker 10
I'm I guess I get to be my turn to do a picture. I just Whoever came up and and I think it's it's probably a combination of probably Jacob Jared and Billy, of that last shot before the credits There's just so much coiled menace of what's about to go down. It's and Not to Speaker 3
Are you them all hunching in a line? Speaker 10
Right. I mean, and and not to be spring? Yeah. Not to not to begrudge, The gentleman who is the director of photography for Fort Billy, but Billy knows how to shoot in the fucking dark. Mhmm. Beautiful. Speaker 3
Jim Westinbrink. Speaker 10
Thank you. Oh. But Billy knows how to shoot Speaker 1
in the door. You just had that in your back pocket, did you? Okay. Speaker 0
She has many back pockets. Speaker 3
I've got cargo pants. Speaker 2
MVP. Ron and Dax. Speaker 2
Yeah. I'm with Tan. Speaker 3
Yeah. I love those two fags. Speaker 7
Same here. Ron and Dax. Way to end a series. Speaker 1
Alright. Final episode episode six over and out. Our guest panelist is some guy named Trace. And, I mean, we gotta listen to this final cold open one last time. Speaker 4
It's the final episode of the show. It had to end sometime. We know, but After seven plus years, we're holding back tears because none of us wanted to go. We smile, thus let us not cry. Don't dwell on the hows and the whys. We shall all give our best to Jared and the rest and say thank you instead of goodbye. Thank you, everyone sincerely. From Washington, Michigan. Oh, he got cut off. The voice of god got cut off. Speaker 0
Anyway, that's not okay. Speaker 1
No. It's not okay. You're going to hell. I'm going to hell. Speaker 1
hearing all those voices is is so awesome. Let's, listen. Speaker 3
Maybe your sound board has, like, a time limit or not on. Speaker 1
Yeah. I mean, that was a but anyway, it's okay. We know what he said. He said thank you. And he was the last one. The last clip from this one here, we got Tanya who gives her rating, and it only took her two hundred and twenty seven episodes to follow to solve the Victor rating problem. Alright. Let's move on to ratings, Tim. Are you taking a deep breath? Yeah. What do you give this episode? Speaker 5
This is the last I'm gonna do the the violent. This is the last rating on on Letter Kenny. Speaker 1
Well, we still got the season recap, but, yeah, the last episode reading. Speaker 5
Yeah. It was beautiful. It was a love letter. It was a thank you. It was it was it hit all the right, notes on on all the right hearts and, absolutely couldn't ask for for better. It's a unicorn. Speaker 1
Well, hold on. You can't just unify it. Speaker 5
I'm just unicorn. I'm just unimportant. This isn't a America's Speaker 1
got talent. There's no golden buzzer here. Speaker 5
bowser, I'm gonna just smack it. It's a unicorn. I'm gonna give my my just cue the Speaker 1
out. Ten you with the golden budget. Speaker 10
It's gotta hope with turd up. Speaker 1
I know. Right? Yeah. We'll see. Speaker 0
It's gonna be really awkward. Speaker 13
Yeah. It's gonna be, yeah. Speaker 1
If only the the golden buzzer existed for the sleepover episode. Anyway, the ratings for this one here, it was a fresh all around. Everyone gave it a fresh, even including including our guest trace. So let's go to awesome. You're her first up with your rating for this one. Speaker 3
If it had to because I've got mixed feelings on this. I didn't want it to end. Speaker 3
I didn't want any of Speaker 3
If it had to end. This was the perfect way to end it. The thing that I wanted the the thing that I would absolutely outright hated and rejected wholesale. Like, I would have walked to Canada to Bob Jared on the nose if he had done this was for everyone to just scatter the four wins, you know, and just up sticks and abandon Letter Kennedy because that's who all these characters are. Right? Is there defined by this town and this community? So if everybody had just, like, fucked off for parts unknown, that would be not just narratively unsatisfying. It would have been just out of nowhere. It would have not been connected to anything. So if it has to end This is the way to end it. Bring this motherfuckers full circle and leave everyone exactly where they found we found them. Speaker 3
So from that point of view, yeah, hundred percent fresh, it accomplishes everything I wanted. But again, I'm, like, salty as fuck that it's over. Speaker 1
I think we all are. Tom, Speaker 9
It was completely fresh. Like, Tanya said, there's a love letter to a all the fans and just, you know, all the success they've had. Speaker 10
No. It's like I thought I might give it a compost. No. Speaker 1
Alright. Nice and succinct to Aaron. Speaker 7
Fresh is just fun watching it all played through. I mean, when all is said and done, the five thousand people have let her Kenny stay and continue to preserve the community. So, the for Gus got me so good. Speaker 10
Oh, got punched. Speaker 3
Yeah. Great. Like, that was just right in the field. Like, I I was stoic up until that point. But then that fucking title card flashed up and I was I lost it. It was ugly. Speaker 10
Son of a bitch. Yeah. Speaker 3
It was ugly. Okay. There was snot involved. Speaker 8
NDP. I I it was definitely a fresh. It was definitely beautiful. The ending was just, like, with all the the empty scenes. It was just so beautiful. And that got me teary. And then again, the for guests, like, I lost it. And I can honestly say I don't know that any episode of Letter Kenny has ever made me cry. Speaker 8
mean, it's just a funny and crunchy And what's that? Speaker 3
International Wednesday. Speaker 8
Yeah. That was that was probably it. Speaker 1
When when this When Wayne says to his sister, whatever happens. Speaker 3
he does it not just once, but twice. Yeah. Right? He, like, stands up in front of two whole separate groups Speaker 8
So But, yes, definite fresh. Speaker 1
Alright. MVPs, we gave let's see. Matt gave it to, sorry, Tanya gave it to Jericiso. Matt gave it to Billy Buttery, Victor gave it to Darren and and Connor, the the silenced kids. I gave it to Stuart and Trace gave it to the town of Letter Kenny. Which I thought was a great choice. Awesome. Who do you give your MVP to? Speaker 3
I'm giving it to the Ag Hall. Oh. Because that is the site. Everybody comes together and, like so Wayne, like, standing at a sharp forty five degrees and hollering through the window. The fucking door is locked. Like, he borrowed. Speaker 8
That was funny. Yeah. Speaker 1
Yeah. It was well done. Speaker 3
Like, that was good. Because they set it up the entire time. It was such a cold every single thing was such a callback to series one. Speaker 3
And especially the Ag Hall rave. Like, he has that nightmare and they they keep referencing fart books. Do you think that's where they're gonna go and then they swerve hard? But, like, creating the exact circumstances around the rave and setting that up, and then appearing to pay it off that nobody's gonna show up just like the first time. And then subverting it. Yep. Was so satisfying. Yeah. And so it was such a good emotional payoff. But, yeah, I know. Just Wayne, forty five degrees, like a hard forty five degrees in the window. The fucking door is locked. So you're gonna come on lock it or what? Speaker 1
Yeah. Alright. Tom. Speaker 9
I give it to Jared and the entire cast and crew. I mean, what else can you say? Speaker 1
I'll put. It's fair. Trace? Yeah. This is Speaker 0
to everyone. Why not? Speaker 10
Letter. Can you still? Speaker 1
Alright. You you're you're on that one. Casey. Speaker 1
When Did I miss when he's Speaker 2
Like, when they're crying, Speaker 1
like, just Right. Right. Right. Speaker 2
When they're crying right before the door opens, I think roll just really sells it there at the end. Speaker 3
Yeah. Shutter to Speaker 7
Captain crew points for everyone. Speaker 10
made it through puberty. Speaker 8
I wrote down non degenerants, because there is a line in there where someone says, de gents and non de gents, and I really liked that. So I wrote down non de gents. Speaker 3
Oh, yeah. The conversation around the fire pit, where there are, like, dutistically, one out of every eight people, and then okay. Speaker 18
Yeah. Fine. Two out of Speaker 3
sixteen. Fucking gold. Speaker 1
Alright. Guys, thank you so much. We're just gonna move on to the season ratings, and we need to really whip through this real quick because we're at, we're at two hours now. So, I'll give my season rating. This is a fresh. I know that there's been a lot of, ups and downs in the season, and and a lot of people had some you know, issues with things, but as far as I'm concerned, it's it's the landing. They stuck the landing. I thought the last episode was great. And I I really did enjoy the the story, the derry storyline, like him kind of, going astray and then coming back. I thought it was a fun thought it was a good story line. So I really enjoyed this season. I give it a fresh, and I'll move on and even say my MVP for this season is dairy. Because I think the Dairy story is what made this season special. So, I'll ask you guys to give your ratings and your MVP to to try to get this thing moving. Tania, can you, your next? Speaker 5
Well, I wasn't ready for my MVP. Thanks for that. Speaker 5
I'm gonna say it's a fresh for sure, the the seas. I didn't wanna see it come and I hated to see it go, but, all the same. It's a fresh overall. I I gave it more freshes than I did anything else. I have no idea for the MVP. This is, it's the whole cast and hurt like it's everyone. They put their their hurt souls into this and, twelve seasons, and it brought all of us together. And couldn't thank. I I couldn't ask for more or or or be more thankful for it. Speaker 0
Matt. Yeah. I know this I I read a lot of stuff online about this one. I know this season got some ups and downs, some weird reviews. This season gave me what I've always loved. It it created what I believed was a very good story line. I know people don't all agree. And it gave us all the stuff we love about Letter Kenny at the same time. So there were some seasons where I wish they had more stories, some they went too hard. This I I really enjoyed the I will actually go and say this is one of my favorite seasons across the series. It hit the feels. It hit the jokes. It hit the everything that you would want out of this show, and then wrapped it up in a pretty little blanket that we were all very happy to taken. So it's an absolute fresh. And I'm gonna I'm gonna align with you on this now. I think the the VIP or the MP VIP MVP of this season. Sorry. I've been drinking a little bit throughout this episode. It's longer, not longer than I'm used to. So, Speaker 1
you haven't had much to say. So you've had more opportunity. Speaker 0
Yeah. Well, I always always prefer these episodes are great with lots of people because I know I have little work to do. But what happens is I make up for an alcohol. Speaker 8
just entertaining for us. Speaker 0
So where where I'm at? I I went through it. It's Terry. His story arc, I really I genuinely loved. It take it or leave it. I think they really did some fantastic work with his story there, and he delivered, he deserves a credit. Speaker 0
It's it's scary. Speaker 1
Awesome. Victor. Speaker 11
Yeah. Alright. I'm, you know, I'm between, like, a low fresh, like, a French fresh and a high clearance for the season, to be honest. There Speaker 11
there was too much there was too much And and that was the point. Right? The the they really brought the d gens out and showed us why everybody hates them so much. And they succeeded. Right? I mean, that and so I'll go I'll go with the MVP. Right? The MVP is easily Mick because he's the reason that brought that that YKC so angry. Right? I mean, like Speaker 2
don't think he's the only reason. Speaker 11
Well, no. He's not the only reason, but he's the, he's the catalyst. Right? He's from from the very first episode. We knew We knew that the mouse trap was set and there was something dirty about it. We weren't really sure. There was some there was a nice lump of cheese on there, but you knew that was gonna cut you bad and and gonna cut you bad real soon. And it and it did that. And there was just a lot of dirty parts to the to the season. Lots of dirty parts and I hated what I hated most is just the the how they treated the the the the, you know, the allegedly how they treated the dog. Right? And I I really hated that. And and I also didn't like the fact that after that big dramatic scene with dairy, witnessing, badass or What was his red ass? Speaker 0
Do you even try in comments like that? Speaker 3
No. He doesn't. You know, he doesn't. He doesn't likely to wind you up. Speaker 0
I think so. I think it's in particular. Speaker 11
So so after that whole dramatic scene, and then we're he just comes back. And it's like, you know, he's like, should I stay? Should I go? You know, and then he stays? Speaker 3
Yeah. Like, it was Friday. Speaker 11
Yeah. Like, just Speaker 11
Mhmm. And I get it. It's just they they needed to do that. Mhmm. But I just I hated it. I really, really hated it. I I just didn't like it. How it was like, oh, not that never happened. We're back to normal. So so I didn't, you know, I so for me, it's I'll just for you guys, I'll give it a little fresh. My oh Speaker 1
I'm gonna take it. Speaker 0
Cut out the word low. Speaker 1
Yeah. I don't care. I'm taking it. Speaker 11
I regret nothing. Speaker 1
Tanya will tell you I had my mouse hovering over the unicorn button waiting waiting for his rating. Speaker 1
Thank you for the unicorn there, Victor. Alright. Tom, what did you give this season overall? Speaker 9
It was a fresh. That the I think Jared knew this was the last season. So he threw caution to the wind and said, fuck it. Let's take chances. Let's do something different. Let's go out. Away from the total normal sitcom tropes. So Mhmm. Speaker 3
Like, we had some weird shots before, but if you've got some ideas for a really weird shot, Speaker 3
Let's just film everybody's boots. Speaker 9
The the cinematography this season was absolutely stunning. Mhmm. And the closing scene with the the iconic shots at the different locations. Speaker 9
It just it did it for me. Speaker 1
Yeah. Trace put it best. It was like saying goodbye to the the town. Those those last shots. Speaker 0
I'm still I'm still I think I think they need to make a coffee table book as we talked about Speaker 2
Oh, would totally buy. Speaker 3
I I have pitch that idea to Kara. I'm working it. I'm working Speaker 0
in the angles. I I think that'd be a beautiful book of all the, like, like I said last week, you don't need people in it. It'll take you'll create your own memories of all of those every time you look at them, and that's what I love about it. Speaker 9
It's Gary. He he went from being the faithful sidekick to being, a well rounded developed main member of the cast. Speaker 1
Mhmm. Awesome. Yeah. I I I really enjoyed that that character arc this season. Trace. Speaker 10
I'm gonna give it a fresh something, Casey said just resonated with me is this was a very dark season and photography and tone. And it it it seemed to start from that scene at the end of season eleven. And should have been a harbinger of things to come, but I I the execution had some stumbles, but On the whole, I thought it was really good. And ultimately, you know, it's he god loving me, ended it the way he wanted to end it. So Nice. That's that's all there. Speaker 1
And you have VP? Speaker 10
My MVP is micky Gibraltar. You can't have a hero without a villain. You can't have a good without a and he played his part to perfection. Speaker 2
Oh, shit. It's a clearance for me. Speaker 1
It's a good thing you're not factoring in on the unicorn. Speaker 2
But with but but with room to grow. Yeah. So I feel like in preparation for this episode, There are things that I appreciated, but I wanted to be true to what my readings were when I rated them. But I would I'm interested in watching it all the way through now Speaker 2
As a as a complete picture, which I haven't done yet because I've just been trying to deal with season twelve Speaker 2
In my heart. So, clearance with room to grow, I may I reserve the right to change that at a later date. Speaker 2
And my MVP is Wayne. Yeah. Twinkly eyes to goofy grin to, the way he delivered, it's not polite to tell tales out school, or you shouldn't tell tales out of school. Those last two. Speaker 1
And the hiccup and the hiccup and the Speaker 0
hiccup and the hiccup and Speaker 9
I could tell you twinkly eyes. They were closed half Speaker 3
Right. Twenty twinkly. Wait men just know these things. Speaker 2
No. You need to watch. It's a dark produce stand shot. Billy Butchery has it lit perfectly, and Jared's acting the hell out of his eyes. Speaker 1
does most more with a squint than anybody, except for French Stewart. Aaron. Speaker 7
No surprise here. It's the fresh, as the sun sets on the produce stand. I would say my MVP is friendship. Just because it's really important whether or not you're a kid or adult just to find your people. Speaker 7
And it is. And I I wrote down, show me your friends, and I'll show you who you are. Like, there's no better Yeah. Look at all of you. Like, you are all my friends. So This is who I are, am. Speaker 3
I really appreciate that. Speaker 8
know, Erin, the whole episode or the whole, you know, every time that that was said, show me your friends, and I'll show you who you are, it was always said so negatively. And you just totally completely a hundred percent change that Mhmm. And do an extremely positive statement. And I and this is why we love I Speaker 5
love you all so very much. Speaker 1
What's your rating, Liz? Speaker 7
I see the HIPAA. Thank you, Victor. Speaker 1
You're rating, Liz? Speaker 8
Oh, my turn. Hi. I was just so in love with Aaron. I was just like looking at her. I give this season. I give this season a fresh. I definitely do because as has been said, you know, it it gave us what we needed, I think, the to to end it. I I like the flashbacks. I liked all the the, you know, I like the so, okay. So Derek's my MVP. Speaker 8
And I liked that he I don't feel like he ever really stepped out. Like, even, squirrely Dan, you know, went off kinda with the mennonites for a little bit in, you know, previous seasons, but then he comes back and whatever. But that, Gary never really did He's never really been on his own before. And this was him experimenting. It was his, rebellious phase of you know, the whole Mhmm. As Aaron's been putting it through his puberty kinda thing. And but then he comes back. To family because that's what it really is all about as family. Speaker 1
Alright. And awesome. You're rating? Speaker 3
I gotta give it a fresh. Like I said earlier, if it had to end, this is the way to end it. And I was talking with a friend about, like, what were the other possible scenarios to end it? Right? Like, and would they have been as true to the characters in the setting? So no, bringing it full circle is sort of northern exposure kind of ending where you just leave everybody right in place right exactly where they are. So they're there forever. Speaker 1
They basically replicated the first scene of the first episode. Speaker 3
Yeah. Like, the jeep when it pulled up when Riley and Jonesie got out, that was even the same song that was playing. You know? So No. I think, I think that was the only way out. Speaker 3
You know what I mean? My MVP I gotta go with Wayne. Speaker 1
Okay. The man himself. Absolutely. Alright. Let's burn through these final comments. I start starting with me. Guys. Great job to the tonight. And thank you so much for listening and for joining us, Tom. Did we oh, there he is. Tom, well, we lost Did we lose him? Yeah. I'm here. Thanks for joining us, bud. I hope you had a good time, and, and, Yeah. Like, it was great to have you here. Take over a team. You did a great job. All the writing, all the cold opens, Liz, and and, and and trace, and Cassie, and Trolley, and just everyone who just put any work in in the cold opens this season, like, you guys knocked it out of the park. Thank you so much. And I now we start vamping as as of well, next week, we're gonna do our egg haul, but after that, we're gonna start vamping. So it's gonna be interesting times because we don't know when Shoresy comes out. So, and about Speaker 3
On Cherry, we're coming for you. Speaker 1
Yeah. We'll we'll we'll have some fun with this. And, anyway, thank you guys so much, Ted. Speaker 5
Yeah. I reiterate what Al just said. Thank you to everyone. Tom. It was great meeting you tonight. I'm glad, Al was able to to get you to come on. Aaron, I loved the analogy of the puberty. It makes so much sense, and it really puts a lot of this season into perspective. And, it it just makes it a whole it it it it just gives you a whole other way to look at this and a whole other story line there. And, I loved that. So thank you so much for sharing. Everyone just it's it's been wonderful doing these and and I know that you everyone's so creative will come up with, new ideas and, ways to to spend our time while we wait for Shoresy and whatever other spin offs come. So yeah. This isn't the end. This is just a new beginning. So looking forward to it. Speaker 1
In the last stream, Cassie said it's not the end of the world. It's just the end of the day. Mhmm. Speaker 0
So, Tom, thanks. Great to finally see you, buddy. Coming out. It's, I know we've been ban we've been bantering back and forth for a long time and I'm glad you finally made an episode. To yourself and everyone, thank you sincerely, everyone. Or being a part of this journey with us. I know we're not done, but I love y'all so much. This continued has been and continues to be one of the best moments of every one of my weeks, because of everyone. And I know we've talked to this before. The show I know Victor gave me razin for being the softy, but that's okay, Victor, because this is the final episode of the final season and that fuck you. Love you though. It's everything, man. The the community, you know, we love to show as much as you want or don't want It's the community around it that it can keeps me coming every single week. It's all of you, and I love that we've I'm so proud of everything we've done. Until this moment and still things to come, because of everyone involved and all the things that you guys bring every single fucking week. So Just a genuine thank you to everyone. Speaker 11
to the Big show. Erin, I like your analogy as well. I'm thinking maybe it was his rum spring Speaker 1
I was thinking about that, like, Ram Springlive from, Logic. Speaker 11
And I'm not sad about the show ending. For me, for me, and and it's and and it's it's not really a knock against Letter Kenny. It's more that Nothing's really ending. Like, we're we're all here. We're continuing. There's, you know, twelve more seasons of Shoresy. There's forty nine episodes. Of god knows what. We've we've been been here before of not knowing what our next, show is gonna be about for next little while, and we we did it with everyone's everyone coming together and kind of figuring out. And, so not really worried about that. So I think that's it's almost like, you know, you're you're finishing high school or or grade school and moving on to high school or move finishing high school, or moving on to college, whatever. You stay you stay friends with those that mean something to you and you don't stay friends with those that don't. And and we're all continuing stay friends and the community is just growing. Welcome Tom again. So it's, I I it's good times. I I I'm I'm excited about what's, you know, the best is yet to come. So Speaker 1
The best is yet to come. Speaker 11
And and we're we're on the journey together. Speaker 1
Awesome. Are you there? Speaker 10
She says she wants to go last. Speaker 1
to go, boy. Okay. Liz. Speaker 8
Final thoughts. Just thanks for letting me be a part of this and you know, again, it's not the end. We know that, but it it it does feel like the ending of this chapter for It's Speaker 1
the end of phase TPS phase one. We we're off to phase two. Speaker 8
Sure. We I mean, we can call it whatever you want, but, you know, it's been so fun being creative in in writing, for a letter, Kenny. I'm not as much of a fan of Shoresy, so I don't feel is involved with those ones because it's more sports e and sports balls and stuff. But, you know, you you guys what the heck is that Victor? Speaker 11
It's a family thing. Speaker 5
It's a sports ball. Speaker 9
It's the only cup that matters. Speaker 2
Oh, it's not one of those drink Okay. Speaker 8
I thought it was a vodka or something like a Russian. Speaker 1
It's a miniature Stanley cup. Anyway, Victor, stop distracting. Speaker 8
Anyways, yeah, just thanks for letting me be a part of your world in opening it up to all of us, non degenerants and We love you, and I I just am so amazed that we have all found this second chosen family. Speaker 7
Thanks, Liz Aaron. Thank you. Really, I'm very thankful to be a part of this and all of you and you know, we say in Jared, we trust, but really it's in the TPS community we trust. And I'm excited to see what is next and what has come has been incredible. So thank you all for for everything. Speaker 2
What a fucking ride? Mhmm. This is a lot of fun. It's always a lot of fun, and I'm excited that we get to continue having fun. I like to have fun and you're the most fun people I've met in a really long time. Consistently, everyone is fun and kind and smart And, yeah, that's what I appreciate. It's about you all. Speaker 0
Can you say it fun one more time? Let's say say it one more time. Speaker 1
be one of those things with Speaker 5
Alright. Tell me I'm Speaker 10
I said it before, and I'll say it again. The to the, to the GPS guys. Y'all y'all made this fun place where it all happens, town. Thank you for the opportunity to, Matt, Thanks for dropping off a germ of an idea in Bolton and to the to my fair your ladies on the takeover team. Thanks for letting me hang in with y'all. There's weird conversations that come. And, especially tonight when you ran all the cold opens. One right after the other. Speaker 10
I'd love that too. And to that point, I gotta think Liz She is my co writer. She is my collaborator. And, over this time, we've worked together. She's become one of my absolute best friends. Speaker 3
blah, blah, blah. Yeah. Hold on. I need to test you. Speaker 1
Okay. Wanna wanna give Tom the last word Austin. You're back. Go ahead. Speaker 3
Okay. Final thoughts. Quickly. You know, I've collected a lot of interviews with Jared, and he said over and over and over in print an invoice and on video that he wanted Letter Kenny to be the longest running show on Canadian television and that he had found his niche and he was comfortable and on fitting and happy with the work that he was doing. So to then hear him say that he was the one who called it. He decided to end it. That's not a gift. That many TV shows get, right, is to end on their own terms, to go out gracefully So congratulations to him for that for negotiating his own ending. Because that is that is a gift. And if this is the way it has to go then so be it. And I'm glad he got to go on his own terms. Speaker 3
If you needed ideas, but I'm a phone call away. Speaker 3
So, yeah, though, I I love the community that has sprung up around the show and specifically this podcast. I love that I'm, like, in your life and you're in mine. And some of you even know what my fucking face looks like, which is a fucking rare fucking privilege. Speaker 0
I've hugged you. I've hugged you. Mhmm. Speaker 2
I've You rode her. Speaker 3
Take you back from Speaker 0
Oh, I've rode you. I've rode you. Speaker 1
It's phrasing phrasing. Okay. Wrap it up. Wrap it up. Come on. Speaker 3
Alright. I love you. I love this podcast. I love this dumb fucking show. And, yeah, monster Warriors is next. Speaker 1
We'll talk. Tom, you got the last word button. Speaker 9
Al, Tanya, Matt, Victor. Thank you for creating this the podcast. It started with an idea, and it grew to a community that, you know, is like a big family. I I I appreciate you guys a hundred percent every day, listening to you guys. I feel like you know, I don't see you guys. I didn't get to go to Sadbury. Mhmm. But I feel like I know all of you. Yeah. And, you know, it's it's it's just so it's great. And You know, it's, being away from home for so long, this makes me feel like I'm out. Speaker 1
Alright. I'm gonna play play us off here with a song, your man by Joji from this season. Here we You Speaker 2
Yeah. All the letters Speaker 2
You picked a swissy song. I think it did a Speaker 1
cold open. Oh, shit. That's the Speaker 8
Is that Sunday? Alright. Speaker 1
Take one. Two. This is a Shoresy song. I thought it was a letter Kenny song. Speaker 3
No. This is so short. Speaker 1
Oh, well, whatever. This is your man by Joji from Jersey. Speaker 1
From now on, this is not a letter Kenny podcast. It is a Shoresy podcast. Surprise. For pivoting treatment. That's all we have for this episode.
