to the produce Dan Dean and Tiara. How are you guys doing? Speaker 0
a minute. It has been Speaker 3
a good. Yeah. I've been yeah. It's been it's it. Been Speaker 5
one week. Right? Speaker 0
More than one week. Speaker 2
More than one week. Speaker 0
It's great to see you guys. I mean, I I guess the last time we saw it, it was the last recap for That would have been Letter Kenny season eleven, maybe, or Shoresy Season one. I can't even remember. Like, it was not very Yeah. Which came first exactly. Speaker 0
Eleven. Yeah. What is Speaker 3
time? Well, I mean, Speaker 0
I know and both of you guys have a great reason for I'm getting around. So we're we're gonna get into it right now. Speaker 1
How are you now? Speaker 0
Tonight's lineup is gonna be myself, Tanya Mad Victor and Dean and TR are our guests. We'll have the final word. I'll just race through my week. There's been really nothing going on. Has oh, wait. Yes. There has. We I'm getting ready for a show tomorrow night. So tomorrow night? No. Saturday night with the news, co lead singer, new, female co lead singer. So we've been practicing with her. She's great. Can't wait to do this. It's been a couple of months since we've played harmonies. Yeah. A little bit of harmony. I mean, I'm shit with harmonies because my inter my internal voice, the, you know, the, it's gone. Like years and years of playing really loud music, I don't have that anymore. She's great. Jim. Yeah. She's great with the harmonies. So, it's been she'd been a blessing. So we've been doing that. Yeah. We've had a pretty good week of interviews. We did mark forward a couple of days ago, and and this afternoon, we did, we had, Evan Stern on, so that was a lot of fun. And, yeah, I think that's all it's been a busy week for that considering, you know, I'm supposed to be in my off season at work. I've had a lot to do, ten years. Have have you been? Speaker 4
Sleep deprived, really. That would be the the word of the week. Our daughter's been sick And so I've been playing zombie, wandering around the the hallways at night. Speaker 1
The cranberry song. Speaker 4
I'm just like I I I would just pay someone if I could just sleep just a little bit more. Like, I just really, really tired. Yep. I'm missing a lot of things, actually. Speaker 2
I'm just gonna say No. She's just too tired to get it. Speaker 1
I I was not impressed. No. Speaker 2
The rest of us were like, Okay. Speaker 3
Go. There is there is nothing, but, yeah, they're the only place to go is over her headroom. Speaker 4
It's true. It's chair. Speaker 3
Her mind is on the bed right now. Speaker 3
It's laying down. Speaker 4
Very much so. Very much so. It's been busy. So, yeah. There you go. Speaker 1
Bye. Yeah. I mean, you've called up most of what I've done this week. It's been, very little. I I gave up coffee again. That's what happened. Speaker 1
I don't know, man. I'm trying things. I'm I'm sleeping like shit, like just absolute shit. So I'm trying to rule out Well, some reasons and, you know, Speaker 3
as long as you don't drink coffee afternoon, then you're good. Speaker 5
Yeah. Oh, no. Just press up to whatever you did, and you'll be fine. Speaker 1
Don't produce your mouth. There's too many men. So I'm trying that with Jamal, which is also a helmet, not because I'm even more tired. So I'm, like, I needed something, but I'm about a week a week now without any caffeine. So plan that out to see it. It's challenging, but luckily we work from home most of the time, and it's Christmas ish area time. So most of the work that needs to get done doesn't need to happen right nobody gets a fuck. It's the end of the year. Basically, everything goes on to shut down for the last few weeks of December. So just, yeah, doing that, getting the kids all ready for the holidays. That's always fun. Spent half a day wrapping gifts today. And, that's it, man. There's not not much going on. Just excited to be excited see you guys. Yeah. It's it's been a beat, and I'm so happy to hang out with y'all. Speaker 3
Oh, happy to be here. Yeah. Speaker 2
I was just gonna say that, but I was taking Speaker 1
Is it coffee, don't don't do it? Speaker 2
actually I was laughing because Dean was making a face, but I quit caffeine a year ago. Speaker 2
Like, with my job, I definitely have days where I'm like, why did I ever make that decision? Yeah. But, yeah, no. I've been been free since my my surgery last December. Speaker 0
And how do you feel? Like, how do you find your health or whatever, like, your mood is? Is it improved or Once you've kinda settled, once you've gone over the withdrawal, you know? Speaker 2
Honestly, the only thing that I notice is that I'm drinking a lot less like, not water. Like, I drink a lot of water now. Yeah. Speaker 1
It's hard. It's hard. My big I'm just, Speaker 2
My forties, what's gonna change? Speaker 1
this last week, just kicking that habit of having that something in the morning, right, and trying to replace it with something. I'm just so used to, like, chugging a a whole pot and, I don't have Mhmm. Speaker 3
Probably. That was the hardest part about, when I quit smoking. Is when I would go have a coffee and I would want that cigarette along with it. I'm like, oh. Speaker 0
Yes. It's that association with one fruit with the other. Right? At Tiara, I mean, you're a singer. Right? So more water's better anyway. Right? Coffee. Yeah. Coffee socks. Speaker 2
Yeah. I I need to start singing again. Everything has been up in the air since they started working again. Like, it's Speaker 0
When we're gonna get to that because that's one of the reasons why we haven't heard from you in a while. Victor Yeah. How's your week? Speaker 5
My week. Yeah, same. Like everybody else, it's a suit for me, unfortunately, it's still super busy and, we're we're doing a whole bunch of work functions trying to get people together in person, the ones that are kind of, like, all over the world who are together, you know, whether it's London, whatever, Toronto. So, so doing that, but, watched a couple of shows on Netflix. One was really, really good. Speaker 5
It's, all the light we cannot see. I super recommend that. Speaker 5
Super recommend that. Okay. And and then we watched the movie yesterday that was really, really good up until the end. Speaker 1
Oh, I feel like you're gonna say. Speaker 5
And then the ending was literally the worst standing I've ever seen in my life for any show or TV. Speaker 0
Let Matt let Matt guess. Speaker 1
Is it involved Julia Roberts? Speaker 0
Yes. Oh, that why would you watch that? That looks Because Speaker 5
Whatever. We just want to look at what it looked interesting. Speaker 5
It looked interesting. And we enjoyed the whole thing Yeah. Right up until the ending. I think what happened is they wrote it Then the strike happened, the the writer strike happened. And then when they came back, they said, whatever. This Speaker 3
That they became dog fighters or something. Speaker 5
I'm not interested in just in case you wanna watch it, I'm not gonna say anything more. Speaker 5
It, It's the the the one with Julia, Robert. Speaker 3
And is it where the world Speaker 5
It's it's called left, left the ending behind. Speaker 1
Oh, leave the world behind. Speaker 0
We ought to leave this world behind. I think it's a letter Kenny spin off, isn't it? One of the many that Gisso signed on for. Right? Speaker 1
Yeah. I would say really clear that I had the the, yeah, the ending was very, like, really. And there was a lot of unexplained things for it that I was, like, that just didn't make sense to me. But I but overall, I wasn't enjoying it. So I was looking forward to something, and I'm like, really? And I was very let down. Speaker 0
Yeah. You you reminded me. Sorry. Was there another one that you said you watched or or you already mentioned the No. Speaker 5
No. And then and then the there's this it's thirty nine minutes long. It's called, oh, man. What is it called? The wonderful world of Henry Sugar. Or some of that. It's with Commerbunch or whatever the hell that this name. Speaker 0
It's been a dicks, comer bets.
Speaker 0
Close to the new you're just watching there. Yeah.
Speaker 5
Anyway, it's the one of the most beautiful things. It's one of the most beautiful artistic things that you'll ever see.
Speaker 0
Oh, okay. Interesting. You do you did remind me that this week I did finally watch Oppenheimer. And, it was,
Speaker 5
Yeah. It was good. I was mildly disappointed. It was a good movie. I was just I was a little mildly disappointed.
Speaker 0
I I watched that home at Sierra. Yeah.
Speaker 2
Okay. On in the theater, it was visually stunning. I will fully say that. But as as a teacher, I'm quite disappointed that they had to put sex naked scenes, and they're just because Oh. Because now I can't use
Speaker 5
I don't enjoy it because of that. I meant, like, it was it was totally they made it all about the Americans. Like Yep.
Speaker 5
It's like, come on. Come on. I know Russia is not popular right now, but soviet, you know, had a little bit to do with with, some of those events.
Speaker 3
Okay. That's why they that's why they had the general in there.
Speaker 5
No. I I just it was and and the other thing is I was looking for a little bit more about the science, about build. And they they there was nothing. There was nothing about, like, they didn't talk to anything. It was a politics. So there was nothing about how they actually built it. Yeah. So that for me, that was a little bit disappointing.
Speaker 0
I was impressed with the cast.
Speaker 0
Holy cast. And also like, there was three timelines. I got I got a little mixed up every once in a while. Like, so it was it was a bit difficult to follow, but I mean, I enjoyed it and and it was a part of history that I I didn't know a whole lot about. So it was it was definitely interesting.
Speaker 1
Now I agree that the politics side of it. Yeah. That I was really hoping for more on the making and how that all came to be. I I loo you lose me with a lot of political shit. I just don't have time for it.
Speaker 0
Dean and Tiara. I mean, let's see here. Tiara, you're back at school.
Speaker 2
Yes. I am I am back with a job.
Speaker 0
And Dean is back at school back to school.
Speaker 3
going to school.
Speaker 0
Rodney dangerfield. So, what have you guys been out to?
Speaker 3
So I'm in actually, I'm in two different schools. I'm in a voice acting school, and I'm actually going to acting school. This is all online. That's so cool. And it's it's keeping me super busy and aside from that and auditioning for new voice acting roles. You know, I just got another one the other day. It's a a two d animation one. But you know
Speaker 2
And your second season of crash just came out too.
Speaker 3
No. Fourth episode of crash.
Speaker 2
Fourth episode. Well, the the new stuff just came out.
Speaker 3
Crash is a new okay. I haven't gotten to that
Speaker 3
but so I just got picked up for this two d animation, which two d animation apparently takes a very long time to happen.
Speaker 3
And they don't even they probably won't have the script out until the beginning of next year. Wow. So, and it's it's a It's something about, a weapon, I'm sorry, an explosives disposal team after some big war. And I play the main disposal guy called Tenhead. Nice. So that's all I can say about it, but he's got this, you know, a very commanding type voice Right. Which seems to be most of my characters that I get. Yes. So it's so crash is, if you've heard of machinima, a machin I don't know how you pronounce it exactly. But basically it they take, games like halo. Mhmm. Like red versus blue. Okay. If you ever saw that or heard of it. It's they take character, they basically create, a series out of characters from Halo. They just take the little characters, they give them names, and then people voice act for them. Oh. And I play I and this, this one called, crash, you can find it on YouTube. I play a character called Pops, who's, like, the, the old veteran of the of the military team. Nice. It's awesome. Yeah. The the command I it's it's kinda the same except he's got a southern accent. Mhmm. Come on, guys. Like, what are you doing now?
Speaker 0
Wow. That's amazing. Great. I mean, everything adds the resume, right, to the CV. Today. Yeah. That's cool. Now you can do you have a nine DV page yet?
Speaker 0
Get on it. Why not? Yeah.
Speaker 2
I'm trying to pretend you're Canadian.
Speaker 0
Yeah. Don't be modest. You're you're not Canadian. Come on.
Speaker 3
Yeah. Well, actually, there was something out on casting call, club the other day that I was kinda surprised about, something for Disney. Oh. Two different roles. They were, so they're doing something. It's a spin off and I couldn't remember what the first one was. The second one was was Iago. But the role but the role plays, like, pays, like, thirty six thousand dollars.
Speaker 0
That that sounds good.
Speaker 0
It sounds really promising.
Speaker 5
Yeah. Don't do it.
Speaker 2
Right. And ruling, that would be putting you on your way to quit in a shitty
Speaker 1
So are you are you part of are you part of a union Dean and and finding these? No. So these are all non union opportunities? Wow. Yeah.
Speaker 3
Yeah. I So far. Yeah. Well, and I think yeah. Everything, I've got all the all the the the rates for, non union is standard as a two fifty an hour two hundred and fifty an hour, two hours minimum. So that's a standard non union. So I guess this thing is probably going to going to be a wit. This other thing. Yeah.
Speaker 0
That's cool. Evan Stern was talking about, you know, having to do some of the union stuff before he can get get the bigger roles. And, it's an interesting interesting interview when it comes to that kind of stuff. And right now, it's available to our patrons only. But next Tuesday, it'll be out, you know, avail widely available for everyone to listen to. Tiara.
Speaker 0
teaching again. When I when I heard that, I was so happy.
Speaker 2
Yeah. Yeah. It, yeah, I definitely missed it. And so I started subbing again, at the end of the last school year. And it turned into me really wanting to have a classroom again. And somehow, I ended up with the the dream position in the absolute not dream like, environment. Because I'm doing exactly what I wanna do, but it's in middle school, which has been fun. And, like, I love I love my students. They're amazing. They're all these brilliant kids with, you know, trauma or whatever, emotional behavior disorders. But every single one of them is amazing. And I actually had I had a bit of a breakthrough with one of my students today where in the middle of almost getting into a fight with someone she actually listened to me and returned to the classroom where she then vented and like got it all out of her system instead of beating up the the person who she was mad at. Wow. So and for for like our classroom, even though it's like, you know, it's a tiny thing. Yeah. But it's For for that, it was amazing. So Let's Speaker 0
celebrate the small differences. Speaker 2
Today feeling exhausted and and, like, why did I choose to do this again? And then end of the day, I was like, oh, that's why. Right. Right. Cool. Thanks. I needed that. Speaker 2
So, yeah. Yeah. I love it, but I'm so fucking tired. Speaker 0
And when when I reached out to to, Dean last week to remind you guys that we were doing this recap and to find out whether you were available, He's like, oh, yeah. I guess we should watch Shoresy season two. I'm like, what? Speaker 2
No. We've been holding off on it because we were gonna watch it and record, but we never got to a point where you had time to record lately. Speaker 2
thing. I was telling you before, before we started recording, like, I I see my own husband for maybe twenty minutes between when I get home and when he starts class. Speaker 2
And that's if I get home one time, if I don't have to stay late or if I miss the bus, late, I have to come in and interrupt his class. To say hi. I'm home. Like Speaker 2
I'm so tired. I'll fall asleep before he gets out of class. And he wakes up before I do in the morning getting less sleep than me, which but Speaker 0
Well, hopefully, it'll all be it'll all be worth it when Dean's, you know, scoring those thirty six thousand dollar Disney, Disney rolls and tiara, you're saving you're saving that your students one by one. Anyway, that that's great. And again, welcome back, guys. Great to see you. Great to hear your voices. So let's get this thing going here. Speaker 1
Previous way. On Letter Kenny. Speaker 0
Last week, we recapped and reviewed the season two finale of Shoresy accountability. That episode was a unicorn receiving fresh ratings across our panel, including our guest Andrew. According to Twitter, ninety three point one percent of you agreed that the episode was a fresh. Four point six percent gave it a clearance and two point three percent need someone to share their misery with. This week, we recap and review the entire season two with our friends, Dean and Tiara, I mean, I'll have to I did my homework, Tanya, have you done your homework? Speaker 0
Matt, have you done your homework? Speaker 0
Have you done your homework? Speaker 0
And Dean, have you done your homework? Here we go. Well, don't bore us. Get to the chorus. We start with episode one called get get him focus. Our guest panelists for them was, Gabe from New York. And, just to remind folks what this episode was about, we have this beautiful poem by the team of Tate and Webb, as read by mister Trace himself. Let have a listen. Speaker 6
Yeah. So okay. Here's the story. The last time that we all saw Shoresy. The boys came up just short of glory, and the last came with the suit. Natt said that they had to win time to fold the team and pack it in and never drop the puck again for the Bulldog dressed in blue. But as Nat and Shoresy talked that night, something wasn't sitting right. To fold a team so full of fight who couldn't stand to lose, The last four games were something strange. Parts were added, rearranged. The bulldogs, they were being changed into something new. Shorsey's plan was simple enough, veteran presence, bringing it rough, line full of natives redundantly tough, so everybody knew. Now they're different than the team they had been, they're running them up and filling them in, and never ever losing again. That's what they meant to do. Back to the start where it went off the track, they poke the bear and the bear poke back, but the blueberry bulldogs are on the attack for Soresy season two. Speaker 0
That was more of a recap of season one. But anyway, I thought this was just so beautifully written and read by trace. And this next part here, isn't about the episode either, but it is about a piece of news that we all got and kinda shocked us all, when season two first drops. We knew this day was gonna come. And Unfortunately, here it is today. News came out, that season twelve of Letter Kenny is going to be the final season of Letter Kenny. It oh, Gabe looks like he didn't know this news. Speaker 1
So I knew that Shoresy was renewed for a third thirtieth. I didn't know this was the last season of the letter. Yeah. Speaker 1
Literally announced earlier today. Speaker 0
Oh my gosh. Yeah. So here's, the release from Bell Media six All new episodes drop on Christmas day in Canada, and and then on Hulu is boxing day. The series is celebrated by media as a little masterpiece of can Canadian the role of Ledicannon lives on with Shorzy, which is set to return for a third season on crave. But, yeah, season twelve is going to be their final season. After seventy five episodes and eight specials. And they've won twelve Canadian screen award. They, you know, they they had nothing else to prove, and and good for them to to go out on top. But it is sad. And and, I mean, twelve is gonna be I think the the waterworks are gonna come out, I think, when whenever ones watching twelve knowing that this is and But Speaker 4
have you seen the trailer? I know. Holy. Speaker 0
I show Daniel the trailer at lunch. Speaker 0
That's a hot feeling. Speaker 4
Oh my god. That girl is like Speaker 1
I I wanna make sure I I took it in. So I gave it a a watch. Right? I just Speaker 0
a couple of watch? Speaker 1
I don't wanna make sure I didn't miss anything. Honestly, there's like a little Easter. Speaker 5
I I haven't had a chance to see it yet. Speaker 0
Over and over and over again. Speaker 3
Bye. I gotta make sure that we we You Speaker 4
know what? All all I have to say about that trailer is that you should really not smoke in the forest. Speaker 2
With all the forest fires. Speaker 4
No. With all the forest fires, that was the takeaway. I was like, she's smoking hot. And she's smoking. I think the forest is going down and maybe she might Speaker 0
Katie's the reason for all the fires this summer. No. It makes sense though. Speaker 4
Only love. Only love, girl. Speaker 3
example, Keith, though. Speaker 0
Sorry, New York. I know Dave. You got all the smoke and who's from Katie. Speaker 4
Yeah. It was Katie. Speaker 1
orange in Manhattan. Speaker 4
Turning it down. Speaker 1
It was orange. Oh Speaker 3
my goodness. Turning it Speaker 4
down. You shouldn't smoke in the forest people. Speaker 0
That was Tanya's takeaway from that old thing. Victor, have you Speaker 3
seen I remember to watch it again this time with his pants down around his neck. Speaker 0
Victor, have you seen the the we've lost, like, have you seen the trailer yet? The I Speaker 5
actually haven't. I come, like, I forgot all about it. Speaker 2
Honestly, I haven't either because I don't tend to watch trailers and things like that anymore. Speaker 0
It's just it's a small Teaser. Speaker 1
It's a teaser. Teaser. Speaker 0
Just of Katie walking away from the camera, which, like, I yeah. You can watch that all. Yeah. And she's wearing, like, Speaker 3
a year ago, but I would love to walk her away. Speaker 0
She's wearing chaps and it be key it's just Speaker 2
Oh, of course, she is. Speaker 0
Smoking hot. So we haven't again, we haven't talked to you guys in a long time. This this is big news for both of us here. Right? Mhmm. Yeah. So why don't you tell, like, we already we've talked about it ad nauseam, how we feel about it. What about you TR? Speaker 2
feel like now that we have Shorsey that, it It I realized watching I'm watching season one of Shorzy, how I'd kind of myself grown a little complacent with with Letter Kenny like it was just going to be there. You know? Right. And I enjoyed it so much that I was like, oh, okay. Letter Kenny has been around for a long time. And then when they made this announcement, I was like, well, that actually makes a whole lot of sense. Like, he's now moving toward more of what he wants to do in a different vein, and and he's been doing this for freaking decades. So I'm sure, you know, kiso is just like, you know what? This is my baby and it's ready to go. I I do kind of have that thing stuck in my head, like, back in the day when it used to be, a hundred episodes was, like, meant that you really made it and it was kinda syndication or whatever. Speaker 2
So kind of when we didn't get a hundred episodes, but seventy five is pretty nice. Speaker 0
back then too, like, the few interviews we did see of Kiso, he said he'd wanted he wanted to do letter Kenny as long as it let him. Right? Like, he was talking. He wanted it to be the longest running Canadian show, in history. He wanted it to go thirty, forty seasons. And, you know, so it yeah. I mean, obviously, back then, he he he was wide eyed. There's no shorts yet and and, maybe he didn't know how much. Speaker 2
He didn't know how it would feel to be kind of pigeonholed into the idea of Wayne. Speaker 3
And and you can have only so many pucks in the air. Speaker 0
Yeah. Exactly. Especially with a baby puck that he had too last year. Right? Yeah. Yeah. I'm Speaker 2
sure that had a little bit to do with it, and maybe even the pandemic because like, that changed a whole lot about the direction that he was going with the show. Yeah. And maybe it just changed his feelings about the future of it. Speaker 0
What'd you think, Dean? Speaker 3
I was expecting it halfway kinda, you know, after talking to him, outside the letter, Kenny live, because I had mentioned, because he had mentioned to us as a, you know, once we're done with the show, we'll come in. Trevor and I will come interview with you in which that That was the colonel that started. Yeah. Wednesday. Wednesday about to happen. Speaker 2
That's in your head, Speaker 3
isn't it? Yeah. Yeah. And so I was I was kind of expecting it sooner than later. Mhmm. So it wasn't surprising. Now one of the things that I had Unless I misread what was saying. They're they're doing an also another series, a spin off, set with the Not Speaker 0
until I've read it. Well, hold on. Really? We don't know if the spin well, unless you are referring to different news, we know that he signed on to do forty nine more episodes, including and other spin offs. But specifically, we don't like, I don't know what the spin off is yet. Speaker 3
I thought I read somewhere that was that was something Speaker 0
Well, there's a lot of people hoping that it's like ten has spin off or or Speaker 1
Oh, hell yeah. The other one, I've Speaker 3
been talking about that for years. Speaker 3
I thought I I could have sworn I read that. Speaker 0
Well, if you did, like, share share the article because that would be amazing. Like, that would be, I'd be up for that for sure. Speaker 3
I mean, I mean, what wouldn't you be up for for that Jared puts out? We should Speaker 4
have a scientific vote on who we would want the spin off to be. Maybe we can, like, nudge it towards tennis. Speaker 0
Yeah. I don't think there's anything we can say to, I mean, make sure he's Speaker 5
got I'm thinking to Paul Cheddar, bro. Speaker 1
I was thinking. Yeah. I was thinking that today. I'm, like, we're all we're all assuming it's Letter County, but why couldn't it already be, spin off of the shores Speaker 2
It's all JJ, Frank. Speaker 5
Big sexual gets his own series. Speaker 0
My theory is always Speaker 2
Yes. I'm into that one. Speaker 3
It's big sexy in the Polycetti. Speaker 0
My theory's always Speaker 2
been like, kidnapped, big sexy. Speaker 0
Yeah. My theory's always been though that it it would have to be something that he could be in. So whether he's reprising his role as Wayne or Shoresy or playing a completely different character, I mean, this whole thing was always for him to act in. Right? So I I don't know. Yeah. It'll be interesting to see what comes of that. I'm hoping and I I mean, I'm hoping. I'm willing to put some money on that we'll see at least another, like, a letter Kenny movie or something over the next one. Speaker 0
You know what I mean? I think Maybe Speaker 2
the movie is when Katie gets married. Speaker 0
I don't think letter Kenny's over. I think the I think there's possibilities from like the trailer park boys did it. Right? They how many moves did they do? Right?
Speaker 2
There's still shit coming out from trailer park cars.
Speaker 0
Yeah. Animated stuff. Like, video games all
Speaker 0
Yeah. Video games.
Speaker 3
I mean, I could see the I could see a spin off of maybe the short family. I mean, it's got it's got Thompson in it.
Speaker 0
Yeah. That's another point that I was making. Like, they've got a rich treasure trove of stories in that family dynamic alone, but they could spin off. Right? And then just have Shore come in. Short as he come in and out of that story every once in a while.
Speaker 4
Gotta be the dicks.
Speaker 2
He would be like the fawns Yeah. Show it up. Hey.
Speaker 0
So back to episode one, this
Speaker 5
is where So, remember
Speaker 0
we're we're doing this review. We, we skip over the playoffs. We don't see any of the playoffs. We're just told in a in a very quick montage that they won undefeated. They they they swept the playoffs, won the championship and are twenty twenty games into the next season undefeated or or Yeah. So and that's when we get, are we gonna be the best team in the league or the best team ever?
Speaker 0
Yeah. And so they they set up the stakes for this season. So this episode here got a final rating of fresh from, Matt, Tanya Victor, and a clearance for myself in in our in our guest panelist, Gabe. I kinda my my yeah. Whatever, Victor. So my reasoning was basically just like Sometimes you're just wrong. Yes. Maybe. But I I don't think I was. I mean, I thought the stakes were kinda weak on this. I was like, so you're either the best team in the league or the best team ever. So either way, you're kind of winning the like, it didn't it didn't feel like there was much at stake in in this season. So And I was
Speaker 5
That that that's because of the ridiculous storyline from the previous season. So Keesa listened to me. Yeah. Change things around. Really? And and now it's something actually, you know, we can relate to.
Speaker 0
Mhmm. We're introduced to a new American team, the Sue Michigan.
Speaker 3
Yeah. Yeah. It's just gonna And
Speaker 2
they're all like hunting.
Speaker 0
Yes. Yeah. So anyway, Dean and TR. So Dean, we'll start with you. What did did you think of this episode?
Speaker 3
So, yeah, I mean, things I things I liked about. I mean, yeah, the, the thing that you talked about about the montage very much letter Kenny style of Mhmm. Filling in, what happened during the off season with, just a quick here's what happened. Yeah. And then and then back to the chirps. I love Sanger and Meek. They're adorable. And then Shoresy set in the tone of getting getting Jack. The other thing that hit me was the boys hammering too much ass. Now there was something I had heard and I went and looked it up. According to a study of over four hundred studies on the subject of sex and sports performance. Yeah. And the annals of Applied Sports Science concluded that sex ten to twelve hours before an event had no effect on performance. However, immediately before an event has negative effects on both psychology and physiology of the athlete.
Speaker 0
Oh, interesting. Well, you're spent.
Speaker 3
Yeah. Right. Well, you're playing psychology part is you're just below. And you're you don't have the the address.
Speaker 3
But, like but like you. I have this as a clearance. And but my MVP yeah. But my MVP was Shorzy.
Speaker 0
MVP is short. Okay. Cool. So I I gotta
Speaker 1
Live that clearance in there.
Speaker 5
Yeah. I'm looking at this.
Speaker 3
No. It was it was it was really it was a lot of montage. A lot of just catch up. Mhmm. Yeah. And, you know, the boys are still the boys. That's kinda, you know, That's what I got. And then they've got this twenty plus game heater. Alright. That's I mean, I'm not saying it was bad. That's why it went with clearance. I mean Yeah.
Speaker 0
No. Exactly. Yeah. People don't understand that our rating, clearance means
Speaker 0
Still means good.
Speaker 1
No. You know, explains it every time.
Speaker 0
I know. Yeah. Yeah. Tiara?
Speaker 0
you think of this?
Speaker 2
I so, gonna be completely honest here Dean did way more homework than I did because my other homework kind of took priority.
Speaker 3
You're a little bigger.
Speaker 0
We get it. We get it.
Speaker 2
Yeah. But, yeah, I can I agree that, I agree with you that it is clearance? Like, it's it wasn't the greatest episode. It was okay. And, you know, the recap was cool, and I I agree. I love that Sanger and Meg are, like, official and, like, they have the cute back and forth. And
Speaker 1
you guys mad at all that they bypass the timeline, or are you okay that
Speaker 0
I think I was I was I think I'm used to it. Yeah. Yeah. Right. Yeah. It's it's something we we've gotten used to it.
Speaker 3
The the difference is with this, is that they had a whole montage about it. Yeah. Whereas in Letter Kenny, it's just It
Speaker 2
just happened, and they think, oh, that just happened.
Speaker 3
Yeah. Yeah. And There's there's not like the whole montage like theirs with this. Right.
Speaker 1
Sounds like a drinking game. Every time someone says montage. Yeah.
Speaker 2
I finished my wine. So now I'm back with water.
Speaker 0
Get very drunk if that happens. Okay. Clearance. Great. So our, MVPs oh, by the way, scientific tutor poll seventy seventy nine point four percent gave it a fresh. So, yeah, less than eighty percent gave it a fresh sixteen point two clearance and four point four compost. Game sticks went to. Matt gave it to Corey and Liam. I I gave it to Ziguan because I really loved how she was giving it back to to Shorsey. She's she's a she was a lot stronger this season than than last. Yeah.
Speaker 1
They gave her a lot more to
Speaker 0
work with. Yeah. Victor gave it to Keller sea. I don't remember why, but okay. It was the
Speaker 0
The size of it. What do you mean?
Speaker 2
on the size of the sea.
Speaker 5
It's the world's biggest sea.
Speaker 0
Tania gave it to Nat and and our our guest gave gave it to Michaels. And Dean, you gave it to Shorsey Tiara. Who who would you give the MVP to?
Speaker 2
You know, I I wrote down ones for all of them and I couldn't quite land on one for this episode, honestly. I'll go with shore, but it's like
Speaker 3
a Yeah. Assign the only other one I would give it to in this would maybe be sanger. Mhmm.
Speaker 0
Yes. Sanger kinda came into his own as well in this season. So
Speaker 0
Alright. Cool. Let's move on to episode two. No. Don't worry about it. Episode two's Skill versus Will. Our guest was Jay from Edmonton. Here's a limerick for that one.
Speaker 1
Yeah. So Shorsey's plate seems to have quite a lot, but Laura Moore, he's still shooting his shot. Can he keep them undefeated when the sluts are depleted from hammering s with everything that they got?
Speaker 0
And this one here, Tanya can't get over what we learned from our interviews with Kigur Kigen Long and Burke Kazeban about running lines with their mom. Here's what she had to say about that.
Speaker 1
What's the yanks fucking toss you, Shorzy? Oh, I'm worried about the yanks, boys.
Speaker 4
Okay. We just have to pause there for
Speaker 4
Okay. That whole banter between Corey and Liam and Shoresy, I could not stop thinking about when the the actors were telling us that they ran lines with their mom.
Speaker 2
Alright. And I was like,
Speaker 4
Like, how do you even that whole banter back and forth Like, they had to do that with the boys. And, oh, my god. Like, can you imagine being twenty one or twenty however old they are, they
Speaker 1
My mom, my mom would never read that. Off and she, like, Matthew, you can't be doing this.
Speaker 0
The moms are are saying choresy's lines.
Speaker 4
Choresy's lines. Yeah. Yeah. And they're saying that to their mom.
Speaker 4
Right? Oh my god. Too funny.
Speaker 0
Yeah. So picture that. Your mom's saying
Speaker 3
My my favorite part of that was, I don't know which mom shows you. So your your mom calls her her her mitt the wet wallet.
Speaker 0
Yeah. So Imagine your mom saying that to you, you you're running lines with her and she says, yeah. It's crazy. Final rating for that one. That was a unicorn.
Speaker 0
a fresh including our our guest Jay. So Dean, what did what did you think of this episode?
Speaker 3
I I liked it. I love how Shoresy is just so smitten with Laura that he couldn't even look at her. The the him with the boys in the gym was just like listening to Riley and Jonesy. Yes. Yes. So, the Canadian American rivalries. Yes. Completely reasonable. Pam and hitch adorable. Mhmm. I love it. And sure is he given the Yeah. Time sanger and me are talking. See, Frankie Frankie and his fucking girlfriends, man, that boy can just not stay out of trouble. And props to Goody and Dolo for the threesomes. I mean, right in neck in rooms next to each other.
Speaker 0
My favorite is hitch is in the bathroom between the two rooms, listening to them and turn around and say, wait a go boy. Wait a go.
Speaker 3
And and and hit for many reasons is my MVP at the episode, but yeah, I gave it a fresh
Speaker 0
as well. A fresh and and your MVP's hitch.
Speaker 2
I love how Dean always just jumps in there, like, training people. I know we're not talking about it yet, but here's my VV.
Speaker 1
I know it's covered. He's he's jumping format. More prepared than most of us.
Speaker 0
I know right. Yeah. Definitely more prepared than, yes. Yes. Tiara?
Speaker 2
I I gave it a fresh. I am oh, god. I'm a big fan of the Shoresy Laura.
Speaker 2
whole story line, the whole way through. Like, it's doing it for me, man. Like, I'm I'm so happy the way that that has gone, and and just every scene in this in this series since the beginning of those two. I'm just like,
Speaker 2
I love them so much.
Speaker 3
Yeah. And so much You know what? I will say they've ramped up the love in this season from what it was last season. Yeah. So Mhmm.
Speaker 0
Well, you you could the whole season's about love. Right? So Yeah. Yeah. Totally. Is this the one where where they're in in the the cat the diner? Is Laura Yes.
Speaker 0
Yeah. That's a great scene of stories you can look at here. Yeah. It's amazing.
Speaker 0
Yeah. Yeah. So that was a unicorn. Eighty five point one percent of Twitter followers agreed. Fourteen point nine gave it a clearance, and no one gave it a compost, which is the right answer. Let's see here. Game Sticks, Tanya gave it to Laura Moore. Matt gave it to JJ. Franky, JJ. I gave it to Laura Moore. Trace, Laura, Jay gave it to Jay Jay, and Victor to Michaels. So
Speaker 0
Dean, you give it to hitch, Tiana, or Tiaris, or who who'd you give a
Speaker 2
Oh my god. Yes. Like, the look on her face when when she turned back. And she's like, what do you really say about me? Like, they're watching her face. I'm just like, gosh. She's falling for it. It's amazing. But, like, not, like, your phone for it.
Speaker 2
Yeah. I love it.
Speaker 0
Yeah. He's not being disingenuine. He's but
Speaker 2
Oh, he's Absolutely. Like and that's the thing. Like, I think last season, she was like, you're kidding. You're making fun, like, whatever. It's fun to flirt with you. Whatever. This season, she's like, are you you're serious. Aren't you? Oh, okay. Like, she's now she has to think about it. Like, Maybe he's not just a slut.
Speaker 0
Cool. Alright. Episode three is set the tone. So this one here, we had the whole blueberry crew on with us because that was the episode we all appeared in in the arena. And that's the one where we we we went up to suebri to visit. And, we had a great time. Here's the, limerick for that one.
Speaker 1
In a season, we're losing anal out. The bulldogs are doing sudbury proud. But with the hunt coming with the throne, it's time to set the fucking tone boys with a few familiar faces in the crowd.
Speaker 0
So that one there, I mean, there was eleven of us on that on that episode. And every one of us gave it a fresh. Probably we were a little biased because we were there. But, I mean, let's start with you first tiara. This one. What did you think of this episode?
Speaker 2
I gave it a fresh as well. I it's awesome. I didn't know which episode you guys were gonna end up in because we don't listen to, so we don't change our own when we record it. For sure. So, like, I knew you guys had done and I was like trying to see if I could catch it, but also I only have watched it once so far.
Speaker 0
Yeah. It's if you blink and miss us, if you blink and miss us,
Speaker 2
Well, now I'm excited to actually, like, look for it when we're ready to do our actual podcast, and I have to watch each episode, like, fifteen
Speaker 0
Well, they move this around the the arena for different shots. Right? So most of the time, we're pretty far we're in the one end of the ice, where the hunter being scored on. But there is one point where there's a fight between one of the gyms and, Palmer. Yeah. And we're behind the the Bulldog's bench, and you can clearly see Tanya, myself, and Victor, Matt, you weren't in that chair.
Speaker 1
I was I was, I I missed the cut. I made I didn't make the cut. I was off to the left hand side, so just outside of frame. But you can see all of us Yeah. On their on the fish sequence, especially.
Speaker 1
are trying to get a goal, that whole scene, we're in behind the net the
Speaker 0
whole time. Robby's there. Aaron, Casey. Yeah. Everyone's in that. It's it's great. Yeah. Dean.
Speaker 3
Great episode. I love the Shoresy pissing on the yanks bus. I love seeing Renee Nado and Benay Benoit Broduger. The. Remmino. Remmino. The Bellson Wilson, Wilson, and Wilson, Tim.
Speaker 1
This is so good.
Speaker 3
And, yeah, Jim's having problems on the eyes. That kinda threw me there. But Palmer. Yeah. Palmer was a great goon. Perfect goon. I don't disagree with the fish ultimatum. You know, I would I would have done You're
Speaker 2
not scoring. Why would we put you there?
Speaker 3
But Schneur and Natalie, get Oh,
Speaker 0
that reminds. I didn't play our clip for this one. Yeah. Listen to this.
Speaker 4
Okay. Trying to go through fast. So, Benson Wilson, Wilson, Wilson, whatever that was, that was a lot of fun.
Speaker 4
No Benson. But all the other ones, that was the moment.
Speaker 0
Wilson Wilson Wilson Nelson Nelson Nelson Nelson.
Speaker 4
I probably could've used, like, it on slow mo to try to get all of that because, it went fast. Oh my gosh. There's so much and to unlock in this episode.
Speaker 4
Oh, no. Okay. So, palmer, polymer, no better bad guy. Production note, zebra cakes. Yeah. Zebra cakes. They are the little Debbie zebra cakes. I thought that I would add that for you. Thank you. Yeah. And, Nat. Nat is, needing in need of a plumber to snake her pipes. That will be, an interesting new, yeah. There you go.
Speaker 2
Congratulations, Tupania. That's the line of this episode.
Speaker 0
Yes. And that needed her pipe snake.
Speaker 3
Anyway, They're fellas with beards who can work around the house. Yeah.
Speaker 0
Dean, sorry. I I cut you off there because I forgot I hadn't played the the clip but it sounds like you and Tania had a lot of common, very much telling common points there. What what did you give this one?
Speaker 0
Alright. And ninety point one percent of Twitter gave it a fresh, well, of people responded. Seven point nine gave it a clearance and somehow two percent gave it a compost. Game sticks. What, like, there's a lot here. Jory, that was mine. Ten ten he gave it to Sanguinette. Matt gave it to the music, Josh Wannette, Adrian gave it to the art department. Casey gave it to Shorsey's scarf. In in the interview, it's like perfectly, like, Victor's influencing too many of our listeners. Joey gave it to Zig, not or Michelle gave it to not. Aaron gave it to Sanguinette, Robbie to Sanguinette. Awesome to not. And for some reason Victor gave it to Adrian, one of our listeners because of a face he gave when he was in the crowd because Victor's got. Victor's gotta be Victor. Now Dean, you said you gave it to Jore Jorey?
Speaker 3
Jorey. I mean, Jorey is so fucking good. He was he was fucking perfect. I have yeah. He's I I wanna see more of that kid.
Speaker 3
Even if he whether or not he has cancer.
Speaker 0
Yeah. He better learn to fight because if if he's gonna talk like that
Speaker 0
Oh, perfect. Tiara, what about
Speaker 3
you? Snur. Snur?
Speaker 2
It can those pipes Man, come on. He fixed those pipes without even asking.
Speaker 0
You fixed it so good.
Speaker 3
Durdy broke at some of these guys.
Speaker 2
And, like, the look on Nat's face, like, I get it. Oh, you just did that. I didn't even have to ask you. Oh, I don't have to pay for it. Oh,
Speaker 2
Yeah. Sure. Which is also fun to say. Sure.
Speaker 0
Alright. Episode four, players only. Here's the limerick for that one. Oops. Come on. There we go.
Speaker 1
Shoresy's got problems galore. See the gyms need player number four and Frank is in trouble when the ladies pop his bubble now Jersey's at Laura Moore's door. But wait, hang on. There's more. Since we're talking about knocking on doors, a sluts come around for Nat to take down. Ciessel, that's what we got in store.
Speaker 0
Now in this one here, this one had a bit of a steamy cold open. I would call it a hot open, actually. And Victor gives his opinion of the hot open.
Speaker 5
Anyway, so back back so back to present day, this episode, What was your question?
Speaker 0
I was just about to cold open. How did you enjoy the cold brew?
Speaker 5
I think I enjoyed it the way everybody enjoyed it. Just, very good framing. Mhmm.
Speaker 0
Is that appropriate? That's perfect Victor. That's a perfect Victor response. So Victor enjoyed this. Enjoy the framing of that episode. Matt also had
Speaker 2
a bit of a story. Nice job.
Speaker 0
Yes. Well, I'm Billy. Yes. Matt also had a bit of a story about that cold open.
Speaker 1
I had a laugh though when I did my rewatch, today. I was to try to get in one last rewatch, and I I put it on. My my kids were gonna somewhere else in the house, so I thought. Mhmm. And then right as the door opens and that's standing there. My ten year old walks in and goes, Whoa. It turns around and, like, throw back at him.
Speaker 3
I'm like, what do you want?
Speaker 5
Dad watching porn again.
Speaker 3
I'm parenting on my part tonight. Wow.
Speaker 1
He got to he got to enjoy
Speaker 4
that's gonna be the memory he takes with him to adulthood.
Speaker 1
This is what dad does every Thursday.
Speaker 0
When dad says he's doing homework.
Speaker 4
You'll never guess what my dad was watching yesterday.
Speaker 1
He's studying. It's the best studying. I love
Speaker 3
my homework. Studying. We have
Speaker 1
such a great gig here.
Speaker 0
Yeah. So that episode, Fresh is all around. For Matt who gave it a clearance despite that. I think he he he he didn't like the fact that this one scarred his child. Tiara. Let's go with that.
Speaker 2
Well, first, I wanna say that Matt's story reminds me very much of the first time we watched Kill Bill with Evan.
Speaker 2
Do you remember, Dane? The, when she's holding up the key chain, it says pussy wagon. And he's like, oh, and he walks out of the room.
Speaker 0
Oh, what do you see?
Speaker 3
It's just the word. Just He was like twelve. Okay.
Speaker 2
Eleven twelve, something like that.
Speaker 2
Eight But, yes, that's then. Yeah. He's he's a giant now. Anyway, so everyone was giving, Natalie the game stick for the last one, but it's this one that I think that she deserves it for that for that like, day after walk. So, like, that's the part that really sticks out to me.
Speaker 0
The anti walker shame in. Yeah.
Speaker 2
There's no walk of shame. She's like, fuck. Yeah. I just fuck that slip.
Speaker 5
Yeah. She's my notice.
Speaker 3
I love Natalie's walk of absolutely no fucking shame.
Speaker 0
What about rating did you give it to you?
Speaker 0
That's alright. It's alright. I know you're you're you're doing what Dean was doing before breaking,
Speaker 2
format. All mixed up on that, but that's, like, that's the thing that really, like, stuck stuck in my head from watching that episode.
Speaker 2
at that. Look at her, like, I when when she got all, like, week need in the last episode, I was like, Okay. Maybe they're gonna have a love interest for Nat. That could be interesting. But the fact that she was just like, no, I just wanna take him down. I was like, oh, k. Not. That's where we are. Alright. Yeah. Speaker 0
Dean, what'd you think of that? Speaker 3
Yeah. It was great. I mean, my fur my first note on this is Natt fucks that slut. Oh, that's right off. But, yeah, she's she she knows what she wants, and she's gonna get it. Players only meeting was hilarious. It's Speaker 0
so cool. Like, we're saying Speaker 3
you're just calling everybody out. Yeah. You're fucking up and you're fucking I'm like, hey, I'm Sayer. But, yeah, the I love it that the gyms are having problems because of trivia. I mean, Speaker 1
it's such a trivial problem. Right? Speaker 2
But it's so cute that they had that their confidence was shaken because they don't have the right person, like, leading off the like, I get that. Like, it makes I again, again, with the autism brain, like, I'm like, that is such an autistic thing. Like, they need to have that routine of somebody, like, getting the first couple questions so that they can, like, process what what is happening enough to actually, like, participate. I just I love shit like that. Speaker 3
JJ, losing his his status in Quebec, not because he's cheating, but because of his fucking diet. Yeah. And Speaker 0
it's personal hygiene too. That's Speaker 2
so weird about him. Speaker 3
The fucking honey nut honey nut cheerio between the Speaker 5
two and The place that invented UTin Speaker 5
about somebody's diet. Right? Speaker 3
I like the Jim's new trivia name. I'll the Algonquiz. And I love that we back to the gym setting the tone, but yeah. Fresh. Completely fresh. I love this episode. Speaker 0
The, let's see, Twitter gave it eighty three point nine percent fresh, fifteen point one clearance, and one point one percent compost. Game sticks went to Victor gave it to the quiz master because why? Speaker 3
Now That's Victor does. Speaker 0
Sorry, Dean. I I didn't write it down. Who did you give the game stick to? Oh, you haven't told us Speaker 2
You didn't say it this time. Speaker 3
Oh, man. I mean, I didn't did I have to? No. I gave it I gave it to Speaker 0
I gave it to Nat. Tanya gave it to Laura Moore. Matt gave it to Goody. And Casey gave this I'd Speaker 3
love to give it to Laura Moore. Yeah. Speaker 0
Give it to Shorzy. Before we move on, Matt, do you wanna, you know, explain to yourself like, you know, explain yourself as to why you give us a clearance, not a fridge. Speaker 1
What do you want? You want? I mean, I told you on this one that I found this episode as Grace was a little overwhelming. Mhmm. They packed way too much in, and the stories are jumping. So that, I found It was very aggressive, and then I also wasn't a huge fan of the, the the JJ Frankie, JJ, where the Speaker 0
girls. Right. Yeah. I didn't like It felt it Speaker 1
felt really out of place in the show. I don't know. I I just couldn't you guys loved it. I could I couldn't get behind it as much. So those are my two biggest reasons. I just found the pacing and and the overwhelming nature of this episode to put me. Again, it's a clearance. I didn't hate it. Speaker 0
Victor gave it gave it his game stick to the quiz master. Who we find out is, Speaker 0
Danny else's brother, brother. Sorry. Thank you. Don't Speaker 1
worry. I'll take over, dude. He said I gotcha. Speaker 0
So that was interesting to learn, that little tidbit there. Yeah. Did I get everyone? Yeah. I did. Okay. So episode five now, the man advantage, our guest there was from the UK, Dennis, And here is the limerick as read by UK Dennis. Speaker 5
Cross checks got things looking dire. We're gay not coming down to the wire. Between Boeing and the no show ladies, shortly, steadily, pitting up fires. Speaker 0
Now, this one here, things got a little heated in this episode between Victor and my self over the merits of, these lacrosse style goals. Should somebody have beaten the shit out of Wayne Gretzky for banking a goal off the back of a goalie, like, from behind that. Speaker 5
You are so you're so delusional if you think those two things are the same. Speaker 0
Why? He's from behind the and he's scoring from behind the net looking making the other team look bad. What's the fucking difference? Speaker 5
You are so delusional. You know, your whole thing, you whole nonsense about within the rules is so non set. There's all kinds of things you can do that are within the rules. You can strip naked and and and, on your shoot out towards the goalie. There's nothing that says in a book, a rule book that you don't you're not out to strip naked. But people don't do that because it's common sense. Speaker 0
So, yeah, we gotta look into it into it a bit Speaker 3
about I'm saying you can't take a shit on ice and use is a hockey puck either. Speaker 0
Yeah. No problem. You know, under the rules. Yeah. Anyway, that episode got freshest from everyone except myself. I gave it a clearance. We'll start with Dean this time. What do you give it? Speaker 3
Oh, man. It was a fresh. I mean, god. I had lots of notes on this. The, the I love the shore Shoresy getting called before the league and because he's got the hots for Dennis and the other ladies. I love that. I mean, I just squeeze yeah. The the the squeeze squeeze me with their thighs. I'm like, That's my man. Yeah. Two type. Pamman hitch part two and Pamman hitch part three. Beautiful. I love that Laurel Labuff is back. Speaker 3
And she sort of got j j. Michael's fucking up with Mercedes again. Come on, dude. Sortched. Sharozie and Laura are getting closer. Watching Shorzy Dance. Speaker 0
Is that right? I Speaker 3
don't know what the fuck that was. Speaker 1
Amazing. It's what Speaker 0
that is. It's just Speaker 0
and it's all really. That's all Speaker 1
Oh. I I connected with Shoresi on a whole other level. I'm not I've felt like me. Speaker 3
One of the things I loved about, that that's episode was when they all went before the league and met just like, no. Uh-uh. Mhmm. This is and she and she just got ferocious. Mhmm. And just taking her down and said, no. We don't decide that. The the fans don't decide. You don't decide that. The players decide the shit. I'm like, yeah. Fuck yeah. Hell yeah. Fuck yeah. But Yeah. I didn't quite understand about, that you were talking about the, scoring the goal off the back. And I I don't understand. Speaker 5
So Alice being a douche bag because He thinks it's okay to score the Michigan, in a beer league, which is essentially what this is. And everybody Speaker 3
What is going on? I'm sorry. I'm just playing like I'm five years old. Speaker 5
The lacrosse goal, when you where you pick up the puck with the blade of your stick, and you spin it to the top corner of the net by spinning the stick around from behind the net, like a lacrosse goal. Speaker 4
Carrying the puck on your stick. Speaker 5
You know, that happens maybe Speaker 1
At the end of episode three, that's what happened. He he sort of warned him. He said, you do that again. Like, you're gonna get it, and then that's where they picked up. And and Speaker 5
then he did it again. And he didn't even score either time because he's terrible. And and and he was warned. And the thing is, Speaker 0
go like that. Because he's warned, it that's okay. Just just Speaker 5
a note on a goal like that will happen A goal like that will happen once a couple of years. You can Speaker 0
get the shit pounded out of you dragged into your bench so that the rest of your team can pound on you because you tried something that failed twice. Because you're feeling hotter. Speaker 5
Any hockey player? Speaker 0
No. I don't I don't like it at all. Yeah. It's bullshit. Any hockey Speaker 5
player has a skill to do that. But they don't use Speaker 1
the bases of battles clearance. Speaker 3
I mean, this kinda goes back to everything that's all everyone's already said. They don't ask how they ask how many. Yeah. So, I mean, If he if he does it and makes it, I mean, to me, that's good on him. If it's But Speaker 5
he didn't make it. He bailed twice. Speaker 3
Yeah. Well, I know. But I'm saying if if he makes it. Yeah. But, yeah, if that's I mean, if but I don't I don't grant granted. I don't know the history of how all this plays out. So if that's something that's subject Speaker 5
to So Look, listen, Dean. If you try and do something like that, you better you better get it because if you don't, then you're gonna you're gonna get it from everybody else. There's one of those things that's a high risk high reward, but what if the risk is is that if you fail, you're gonna look like a douche bag and you're gonna home of like a douche bag. Yeah. And that's just everybody knows that. It's it's an understood thing. Speaker 0
No. Not everybody knows that. No. Speaker 0
I And and there's a whole whole generation of new players who have those kinds of skills and they're using those skills and they're not and they're not getting killed. Speaker 5
It happens once every couple of years. Speaker 0
I didn't I didn't mean And Speaker 1
welcome back to that episode. Speaker 0
That was that was a contentious episode. You're getting a little bit of it right now. Anyway, so you you gave that a fresh. Speaker 3
But in the end, Laura is Ali in all in. Fuck yes. So, yes. Rating fresh. Speaker 0
Fresh. And, Tiara, what did you think of that episode? Speaker 2
I rated it fresh. I was I was torn about Laurent Sloboth. I I Why I don't understand how JJ Frankie, JJ inspires all these women to, like, love him. Like, he's cute. Like, I get that. But he doesn't say much, and he's eating all the time. And what kind of relationship are you having? Like, these women go on the show talking about, like, it's the food thing and, like, okay. So that's my impression of him. Mhmm. Food, not saying much. Wait. Speaker 0
Maybe he's on like a moose. Speaker 0
Like a chocolate moose. Speaker 3
Maybe he eats it like he eats that, pitter patter panini. Speaker 0
Oh, there you go. Yeah. Maybe he's just Speaker 2
really Maybe. Maybe. Speaker 2
be something like that. Speaker 0
He must clean his plate really well. Speaker 2
Really well. Yeah, the, like, I totally understood the hiding is room and not ever wanting to come out and being depressed over being, you know, found out about having three different girlfriends and, like, focusing on that being the thing. Like, I thought that was actually a really great way to wrap up JJ being a shithead to all these women. With him still not looking terrible at the end of it. Yeah. But I I don't I don't buy a Lawrence Lebu is showing up to make everything better because she saw the up like, saw the thing. These girls talking shit about him. Yeah. But anyway, that's that's the part that's, like, kinda, Speaker 2
Almost made it to clearance for me, Speaker 2
I still said fresh. Speaker 0
Game Sticks went, from Matt to Mercedes. Victor gave it to Angelo I gave it to hitch because I'm just happy to see him and pay him. And, Tanya gave it to Mercedes too, and I gotta say Mercedes, the the actress, she did a great job in this episode. She had a lot to do. Dennis gave it to the music. He he really appreciated the music in this. So Dean, who do you get your your game stick to? Natalie, Speaker 3
She her standing up for the team and just giving it back to them, giving it back to the ladies as hard as she as hard as they were dishing it out. Speaker 0
So, yeah, I've loved it. Okay? NDR. Natalie? Speaker 2
Hitch, like, showing that he meant what he was saying that he she wants to have a relationship with with somebody and, like, get to know her and hang out with her and not just fuck her. Like, fuck. Yeah. Especially when, you know, his two best friends basically are, you know, having threesomes next to him. Speaker 2
But he wants he wants something more than just that. Speaker 3
Yeah. And the part and the thing I like about that as well is, you know, when she says, I don't really like this music and he's like, and he takes that as oh, okay. Yeah. And she's not interested. Yeah. And so he respects her. So Speaker 0
yeah. Yes. Amazing. Alright. Here we go. Season finale, accountability, our guest for that one was, was Sega Andrew? We're gonna call him that from now on. And, here's the limerick for that. Episode. Speaker 1
Well, there's one more game left to go. In the BullDogs finished twenty four and o, will they complete the endeavor to be the best team ever? In the history of the whole no show. Speaker 0
And in this one here, we talk about the brilliant cold open for this episode. But, yeah, we went from, you know, probably my least favorite cold open last week. If you wanna call that cold open to Oh, Speaker 1
did you not like the one last week? Speaker 0
I can't remember. I'm gonna have to go check my notes. Anyway, it was Speaker 4
the one I fell asleep in. Speaker 0
Yes. This one here was amazing, loved it. Probably one of my favorites. Victor, I do agree, then that one might might beat this out just a bit, but not by much. Speaker 1
Yes. You guys are pissed, man. Speaker 0
Yeah. I know. But either way, like, I loved it, the the humor in this. And just shores he's standing there with this ridiculously orange and really bad spray job because he's missing parts on his neck and his ears are still white. And around his mouth. Like, it But Speaker 5
his junk was orange too, Speaker 5
can take comfort in that. Speaker 0
He went as far as doing his junk, but he missed some obvious spots on his face. But he went full Cheeto face there, and he gotta admire, I guess, the attention to detail. Yes. Great cold open. The whole calendar shoot Speaker 0
and that's look that she gives gives them. And you can tell trying to suppress a laugh. And yeah. It's so good. So Tanya gave, oh, sorry. This one here was a well, obviously, this is a fresh. This is a unicorn. Everyone gave this one a fresh. Dean, what do you give this one? Speaker 3
I give it a fresh. And, yeah, I have my first notice about the in that calendar shoot. Flashback. Shoresy is so fucking orange. He's more orange than trump. Right. So but yeah. I'm yeah. I love this up. That, Lauren Shoresy, yay. The amazing interview with the Yanks by Joria Jordan. Yeah. Speaker 3
Then the last line, let's set the fucking tone. Yeah, that I I love that last line. So, yeah, fresh, totally fresh. Speaker 2
Yes. Absolutely fresh. The thing about the spray tan, so, like, for me, it's he wants he's showing his commitment. He's like, No. We wanna make money. This is what girls like. So we have to do this thing. I know I look ridiculous, but girls like it. So we need to do And, like, everybody else was, like at Speaker 2
Right. Right. Right. But and and everyone else is, like, hey, you're right. And then he like, he's, like, shocked that they don't already have somebody to grease them up. I just fuck. I love that scene. It was great. Speaker 0
And and the the louder he got, the more indignant he got, one's like, why do you wanna get great stuff? Because if I were buying a calendar, I'd want yeah. It was just Speaker 1
Well, like, he felt like everyone like, in his eyes in that part, it's like he thought everyone else was stupid. Yeah. Yeah. Speaker 3
is wrong? Am I told you? Yeah. This Speaker 3
This season What Speaker 2
are calendars for, if not to ogle men with spray tans and muscles? Speaker 0
Yeah. It's funny. Early in the season, it was alluded to that shore Shoresy was the dumbest of the sluts, and I never considered him a dumb character. Right? Like, after the season one, there was no indication. Like, he was a leader, and and I'll not but not dumb. In this season here, the more, like, I I feel like they're playing that up a bit more. I'm not sure why, but, yeah, it was kind of interesting. Speaker 2
I feel like, like, Shoresy thinks he's the dumbest one. And then, like, every time it it kinda turns out that he's not, he's, like, that example. Like, he's like, what? How do you not know this stuff? Like, because he thinks that he's dumber than everybody else. Speaker 5
Yeah. He went on Napoleon dynamite in that scene. Speaker 0
Let's see here. Game sticks, Tanya gave it to Shoresy. I Matt gave it to Shoresy. We all gave it to Shoresy except Victor who gave it to Oompa loompa's mitt. Speaker 0
Dean, what do you give your game stick to? Speaker 3
I'm back with Jory Jordan. I mean, that kid can do no wrong. I fucking love this. I just love how fucking cutthroaty is, and he's just so just so understated, but still Speaker 4
Taking the call on his banana. Right. Speaker 2
Like, now that I work in a middle school, like, that kid oh, yeah. I'm yeah. That's where they sharpen those tools in this call. Like shit. I have not been insulted so creatively and so damn well. Speaker 0
Yes. We're skipping the land acknowledgement. The the flute national anthem, the Speaker 2
the recorder. It was a recorder. Speaker 0
Oh, recorder. Sorry. Yeah. Funny. And how how angry Shoresy was good that was so good. Tiara, who do you give your Speaker 2
Yeah. I I give it to to jory. I didn't in the last one, when the last episode that he was in because I thought, well, that was, you know, fun and all, but, like, it wasn't, like, huge, but, like, having him just dig into the opposing team was much better than him digging into Shoresy. Speaker 3
Mhmm. Yeah. I mean, yeah, the question to do Each, each of you give me your name and ethnicity. Yeah. Shneur goes, you know, Shneur, and I don't think it matters. You don't think race matters? Set Speaker 3
well. Alright. That Speaker 0
that's amazing. Thank you guys. We're going to move on to overall season ratings now, and starting with me because we're we're going back to the original lineup. This season was good. Not as good as season one. In in my opinion, not as good as season one, but it was good. And I think it was still strong enough. I think I gave it more freshes than than than not. So I'm giving this season overall a fresh. Yeah, Tania, what did what did you? Speaker 4
Absolutely. I didn't give it anything but a fresh. It it really hit all the points. Yeah, Speaker 1
Yeah. I mean, it's to me, it's an easy press too. My my opinion on this season versus one, I thought one overall made me laugh harder, but I liked the story progression much better than this one. So my first blow through of the season, I was kinda, think I was expecting something different. But as I went as I watched it again, I'm like, you know what? This is actually a pretty fantastic season. And and, you know, I spent a lot of time talking about the production value on this one as well. And I'm really impressed by a lot of what they did Speaker 1
and I think that it's a lot of risk they took on the shot selections and all that really paid off. So Speaker 0
That that one long Yeah. That one long seen Dean. I don't know if you noticed it, but the one where as short as it goes back into the limo. Watch it again. That is one, over a minute and, what, fifteen. Uncut from beginning to end scene. It's Speaker 1
it's Tracking shop at trying two cars. Yeah. There's a lot of really fantastic, shots in this season. So no. I mean, it's a I I really love the story. I love the shots. I love the show. It just this was an easy precious season for me. Speaker 0
I wonder what Victor's gonna say. Yes. Speaker 2
Victor. What the hell? Speaker 0
He's got the unicorn out. Well, give the unicorn if we all get it refreshed. How's that? I feel like we're gonna get it. But, do you have anything else to say about this season, Victor? Speaker 5
I thought I thought the fight scene, in episode three was the best one because it had the best acting, background, crew. Absolutely. Or what does Kiso call? Speaker 1
Ex. Back on extras. Speaker 0
No. Not background extras. Just extras. Speaker 5
that. Yeah. But, yeah, I mean, the season was so good. Everything about it was so good. Speaker 0
Would you rank this one better or or or, you know, better? Yeah. Then season one. Speaker 5
Yeah. Yeah. Just because the stakes weren't so ridiculous. Right? It they they for you, they were under underwhelming. Speaker 0
They weren't ridiculous. No. The season one stays Speaker 5
so much higher. Because if you fold the team, you fold the league And that's that's the You're Speaker 0
you're caught up on a very small detail. But anyway Speaker 5
Oh, yeah. It's very small where the whole league folds. Yeah. I guess. Anyway, anyway, it was, you know, they found her. I think they've they found her stride even more so in this season. And I can't wait for season three. I just can't. The they're so good. So good. I can't wait till season twelve of this of this show. Now Speaker 0
what did you have to say, Matt? Speaker 1
Yeah. Just wanna add one little comment to add on to my rating. And the and the last reason why I was such in love with this season was the music selection. Speaker 1
And and Dean and Tier, I know I I called this out in our season finale recap that This was like a master class on on music selection for a show. I thought it all just played so well across the season, especially the last couple episodes. You couldn't have scored it any better. Speaker 0
I mean, nothing hits harder, though, than the the last scene in season one with true love playing the background. You're not wrong. I think he was trying with with, my your man at the end of this season, but it didn't hit quite as hard as true love didn't in that in the season one. D. Speaker 3
I gave it a fresh. I mean, the the ideal one. I only had episode episode one as clearance. So, yeah, overall, it was fresh. I agree with you. The stakes because of the high stakes and and season one, there should there had there the only thing they could have done to make this better was to have higher stakes. And the stakes weren't weren't high. So it was really just keeping the same level, essentially. So I was kinda disappointed in that. I mean, had they come off of, you know, had they, you know, maybe just completely fallen off in the off season or something and had to build back up. I could see that. So I'm I'm guessing that's what that's the only thing that could happen next season. I mean, because there's no drama because they they like the drama in this and the drama of the games wasn't there like it was last season. Speaker 0
Yeah. Yeah. Because it was kind of given that they're gonna win. And if they didn't win, they were still gonna win because they were the best team in the league. So Yeah. Speaker 5
By by not by the stakes not being a champ championship because that's gonna be the next season or or not. We'll see. Because things Speaker 0
could be. Well, we'll we'll talk about the future in a second, but yeah. Speaker 5
But but but but I think I think by by kind of holding back on that a little bit. And it gave us a chance to develop the actual stories and characters. And we got We got backstory of Kiso that we've never seen before. We had that, you know, conversation with him him and Laura Moore kind of, you know, understanding kind of the Genesis of his character and how why he shows up at the ring all the time. We got, you know, what's his name not toucan Sam. Hitchcock. Speaker 1
You can't stand. That's what you went with. And Speaker 2
Did you can't see Speaker 0
You actually got you you got she understood that. But I'm I'm surprised. Speaker 3
Oh, no. Holy fuck. Speaker 0
Oh, just write Dean. Welcome to my world Dean. Welcome. Speaker 2
I understood it because I do that same thing a lot. Speaker 2
why Dean's like, Speaker 5
Aaron gets it. So anyway, so you got a chance to really just, you know, learn about the people. Sure. And, you know, I think that's I Speaker 3
think that was good. You're saying that if they hadn't, they couldn't still increase the stakes or make make it more dramatic without Speaker 5
I'm just all I'm saying is that this was a season where you kind of just take things a little slower and get more intimately involved with the care That's all. Speaker 5
of a And ends up being kind of a set up for season three where it's all gonna be about the playoffs or not. We'll see. But I Speaker 3
also gotta get handled in the off season. Speaker 0
Yeah. Maybe. Maybe. Like Dean, for example, and I talked about this in our review of, episode five. They they could've with they could've, you know, held on to Shoresy suspension, and that would've been a more interesting story. They could've still won the last game, but maybe without Shoresy on the ice. Maybe Sure. How does Shoresy contribute to the team winning off the ice? Right? Like, the fact that the league changed because of this impassioned speech by that. I didn't like that. I thought that was kind of Speaker 5
It's an electric show. Speaker 3
I liked her speech, but I agree with you. Speaker 0
Yeah. So it was kinda I'll really we're doing that. I mean, come on. Like, it was it was getting interesting. Oh, sure. He's gonna be suspended. What's gonna happen? Oh, no. He's not suspended. He's gonna Okay. Speaker 5
The world's best hockey league, the NHL Speaker 5
Is so waffly. It's so it's so waffly. Like, it's almost comical to things that they do. But the whole with the pride tape and, you know, all that stuff, uh-uh, like for those in the states that don't follow hockey, you can look in look into it. It's it's it's ridiculous what the real league does. Never mind what the no show would do. Speaker 5
So I don't know. Like, you can't hold them up the kind of those kinds of things. Speaker 0
And to be clear, Victor, your comment is not against the pride tape. It's that the the NHL change their minds on. That stuff. Speaker 5
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No. No. Yeah. Okay. It's it's it's it's it's how embarrassing DHL is. I Speaker 0
just wanna make because somebody's gonna be like, what does he mean? Speaker 5
No. No. No. No. If the NHL decided to site with zero point zero zero zero one percent of NHL players, instead of everybody else. Yeah. And basically said, nobody gets any tape. Speaker 5
It's just everybody just wears white tape from now on. Speaker 0
Yeah. It's stupid. Speaker 5
Yeah. And and oh, by the way, they they went back on that because one player was brave enough and actually he he he put on the pry tape, and they said, okay, we're gonna get rid of that rule. So it's so one person can make a difference to everybody Speaker 3
out there. I think Speaker 3
some stakes there. Speaker 0
Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. Tiara. What do Speaker 0
I think we're still doing season ratings here if I recall correctly. Speaker 2
I think so. Yeah. Overall, I give it fresh. I only, you know, had a clearance for that first episode, like Dean, before me. I definitely liked seizing one better. Like, I think that I don't know. I I like how we explored more relationships in this season, but also some of them didn't ring as authentic. That's, you know, in in the first season, I didn't ever have any questioning of the relationship between people with this one. I was there were a few times where I was like, that was a choice. Okay. Speaker 0
But There's a couple of one, for example. Did you were you like me? Did you find it perplexing why Pam suddenly changed her mind on hitch. Like, in season one, she was yelling at him and calling him disgusting and put your jibs in. And then suddenly, like, nothing happened, but suddenly she's she likes him. Speaker 1
But again, you're saying suddenly, but there's a time gap there. Like, at the time lapse. Speaker 0
But we weren't showing any reason why she might change her mind on. Speaker 4
Maybe it was the calendar. Speaker 2
they show him growing. Yeah. I think that that's really what they were trying to do was that it grows on her that he grows on her, whatever, like Speaker 5
At least ten inch. Speaker 2
But, yeah, it it did feel like it should have been if they really wanted to sell that as a burgeoning relationship, there should have been more about it instead of just a couple of scenes. Speaker 0
Yeah. Maybe just one scene that might have shown hitch chipping away at her her defenses. Right? Like Speaker 2
Yeah. Or them having an actual conversation away from everybody else. Yeah. Like, that was that was kind of the thing for me. It's like, you know, if I'm working and some dudes flirting with me, I'm not into it. But, like, if I'm sitting one on one with somebody and they're flirting like, that's a totally different story. Like, I wanted to see that. I wanted to see, you know, maybe him coming in by himself and her coming over and and getting talked into sitting down for a minute with him or something. Like, I wanted to see them with each other with no audience. Speaker 3
But I will say that the conversations got started about the music because of Yes. He was mentioning his shirt. Speaker 0
Yep. Yeah. You're right. Speaker 3
That's how those conversations got started. And then I think that's kinda what really got her murdered. Speaker 2
I think they're trying to, like, show that, like, she was like, okay. So you're you you see me as more than just You know? Yeah. Someone to fuck. Speaker 3
One thing I will say that was that I felt was a little superfluous was, the the girls. Speaker 2
Yeah. Walking through naked all the time. Speaker 3
Yeah. Well, I mean, just the I don't think I think they hammered They were hammering on hammering too much as too much. So I I thought that was, he could've done he could've handled that maybe in the first two episodes and then let that be. But that's just my opinion. Speaker 0
Yeah. I think that they had Speaker 5
a lot of agree with that opinion Speaker 0
They had a lot of jokes running through all six episodes that paid off in the last episode. Right? And I think that was one of them. Right? Like, that that and the girls showing up the the one thing the one complaint Victor has about that last episode. Do you wanna share it? Speaker 5
Yeah. Yeah. The girls all the girls were dickens in that one. First, like, what the fuck were they doing showing up late? Yeah. I I mean, I think who so in a in a first period, It was, who shows up? Speaker 2
Yeah. I know what you mean now. Yeah. Speaker 5
It was Laura Moore. I think showed no. No. Not even Laura Moore. It was Speaker 2
She showed up a little bit late, but yeah. Speaker 5
Look, there are some both shows up in the first period. So, okay, you should could have been on time, but whatever. Laura doesn't make it. And Mercedes, those two don't make it till the second period. And the worst ones of the bat of the batch were a melody and, Brett. Yeah. Right. Yeah. What what the fuck were those two doing showing up in the third period you might as well stay home at that point. Like, so as far as I'm concerned, nobody's calling them out, but, like, like, what are you, what are you doing? Speaker 0
Victor. Victor, you're just saying that. Speaker 2
Like, it's very drafting that you're not there the whole time. And then suddenly you show up and they're looking at you instead of playing the game. Speaker 3
I do think we know that, that Kiso likes tropes. Yeah. Yes. So the the slow the slow low one and, you know, folk hot focus. Speaker 2
Where they make eye contact? Speaker 3
Yeah. Exactly. So, you know, I think that's That's the reason. That's the Speaker 5
I'm not questioning the re from a creative point of view. I'm questioning them as characters inside the universe. Speaker 2
You're not wrong. I agree with you, Victor. Speaker 3
I think I saw it in the report of Michael. I got the card. Michael slot Mercedes showed up for him. So Yeah. Speaker 0
That's the other one. It's like Michael's is so sympathetic. It's still like that Speaker 2
Michael deserves somebody so much better than her. Lane. I know he's calling me. Speaker 3
Share success with. Speaker 2
Yeah. I understand his desire to have someone to share his successes with. Absolutely. He's he he does not make good choices when it comes to the women that he chooses. Speaker 3
It just Like, I want him just to have Speaker 2
Somebody not terrible. Speaker 2
Somebody who isn't after his friend instead of him, you know. Speaker 0
Alright. So you're you're, raiding afresh makes this, season the unicorn. Wonderful. Speaker 0
So let's talk about season MVPs or game sticks. Shit. Starting with me. Don't worry. You got a little bit of time here. Mine's easy. Mine's nat. Nat's, this is nat's season, with, you know, taking taking down Shner and I had this, theory that that I shared, that, you know, the the them making up the last ten grand in calendar sales might have been her doing. She planted the ID engineers' mind for them to project the calendar pictures on the the arena walls. Speaker 0
and then that way the the the home team bought up the rest of the calendars. That's just kinda like a little thing. Like, but anyway, I I love Nat and this, season. I thought she was apart from that steamy cold open shoes strong throughout the whole season. Ten? Speaker 4
Yeah. I agree. Nat did do a phenomenal job I have Laura down here quite a few times, as my MVP, for a few of the episodes. The looks that that woman gives and just she she she gives so much to the camera just in her, like, looking back on shore as her smiles, you know, even just standing at the the taxi just her she she does a phenomenal job, bringing everything to that show. And I love that relationship. I love the banter between the two of them. So I'm gonna have to say her. Speaker 0
Oh, okay. A little Speaker 0
That's that's a good pick. Matt, if you get had enough time to think of yours. Speaker 1
Oh god. I I I like your answers. I I tend to agree. Those are both really strong. Thinking about what I talked about the most, the most. I'm gonna give it this one just to the crew. I I I I really love the production value on this one. The the talent on screen did their thing. They did it phenomenally, but that was something I really had a a keen eye on this season. So Buntry tyranny and all the the rest of the crew there and what they made this season. I loved it. Speaker 0
Okay. And we just we got to witness it first hand behind the scenes too. Right? So that yeah. Victor. Speaker 5
No? I yeah. I mean, this one's pretty easy. For for a couple of reasons. You don't go twenty three and o without the best goalie in the league. Right. So you gotta give to Michaels. For for doing what he did on the ice, but also he was the catalyst and the inspiration in the pub or at at Peppy's, you know, sitting in a court and when nobody even knew he was there. Speaker 2
And he saved the trivia team. So Speaker 0
That's right. Yeah. Speaker 1
He was the hero. Speaker 5
He was he was the muse, he was the he did everything. And and I think that, you know, almost kind of behind the scenes. Speaker 2
Yes. Yes. That's what I was just gonna say. Speaker 5
Like a silent hero. And and and he motivated, Shoresy to to get together with lower more. So I mean, like, I just everything. Everything he had so many little things, pulling the strings behind the scenes. Speaker 3
It took me a bit, but I'm going with you. Natalie was I think for me, far and above, what they a well placed second for Jory Jordan. Speaker 0
I thought he might bring him in. Yeah. Speaker 3
That kid, he's just he's good. He's good. I I want more Joy Jordan. He should be part of the panel on on the Speaker 3
On the the the brodude Oh, Speaker 0
yeah. Yeah. What's it called? The something? Questionable call. Yeah. Questionable call. Yeah. I'm wondering if if Jorrie's gonna kinda become like the Shoresi's version of Alexander where, they'll they'll bring him in for these, like, really amazing funny scenes. Right? But he'll he'll be used sparingly, but he'll he'll be used for those kinds of scenes. Speaker 2
Yeah. It was awesome. They should do Speaker 1
Yeah. Really quick, Dean and Tara, did you guys have any take on, the questionable call bits that they did this year? And the the fact that Anique was no longer taking shots at Jay. Mhmm. So in first season, really digging him. And this They just completely omitted that that Speaker 3
She got his name right and everything. So, yeah, I Speaker 2
Yep. She's she did. I forgot about that. She did get the name right. Speaker 3
Yeah. I I was about the question. Speaker 2
It was kind of forgettable. Yeah. Like honestly, until you just mentioned it, I had not thought about it since I watched the ups the Speaker 5
I think that's that's on purpose. Right? They just used it as a as a tool to move things along. Like Yeah. It wasn't it wasn't a trope thing anymore. Like, it was just in the background. Speaker 2
It was still a part of the show without Yeah. Being a big part of the show. Yeah. Speaker 0
Tiara, your MVP, or Speaker 3
your game stuff. I'm Speaker 2
yeah. You know, I I honestly was gonna say Natalie, but now I'm kind of agreeing with or I hadn't really thought about all of the things that Michaels had done. But, really, he was kind of the catalyst to a lot of things this season behind the scenes and Like, yeah. I think he definitely deserves it. Like, not only was he an amazing goalie, but he also did a number of other things to help influence or port all of the other cast. Speaker 0
You're getting a hippo. That's that's that's a good thing. That's a good thing. It's the opposite of a blue spatula. Well, I never see the hippo. That's the Speaker 1
range. Yeah. Exactly. Speaker 0
Amazing. Alright. We'll move on real quick. We're good. Let's do a little bit of a see the future kind of thing. Starting with me. I I agree with you Dean. I think they're gonna completely skip the playoffs again. Because I think season three is gonna be all about the senior, men's championship because they made a big deal of getting the money and now they're hosting it. So they're gonna probably sweep the playoffs, like they did last season, and now it's gonna be all about the season, the senior national men's championship. That's Yeah. That's the way I see it. And in terms of, like, character development, I wanna see more. I wanna see more of the Shore family. Yes. More than just one scene, a season too. Speaker 3
I'd I'd you know what? I'd though I did love that how they were just all ripping each other Yeah. At the table, but at the end, all the love Yeah. And everything that was between them. I loved it. It was fantastic. Speaker 0
When wouldn't mind seeing them out of context of each other? Like, maybe see Mo pop in the scene every once in a while somewhere else other than around the family table. Speaker 3
It shows up at the game. Speaker 0
Yeah. Or or or free and and, carry or whatever. You know what I mean? Like, outside of just, but anyway, like, yeah, those are the kind of things that I'm looking at or the I'm expecting anyway from season three. Dan, what about you? Speaker 4
Yeah. Maybe maybe Michael's dates, one of Shoresy's family members or something. Speaker 0
None of them are straight, though. Speaker 2
Right. That's why I was just thinking. And the sisters are Yeah. Married. Speaker 3
Yeah. The youngest sister is too young. Yeah. Speaker 2
Youngest sister's too young. The the brother's daughter is too young. Speaker 1
I think this one's three digit. Speaker 2
And, I didn't I didn't Speaker 5
There there's there's big sexy. I mean, yeah, it's big sexy. Right. Speaker 4
Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. I don't know. I I I feel like there needs to be more balance. There needs to be, like, not the everything needs to be a struggle, but it just every if it's just all win, win, win. And, you know, we we saw it this season where they were yelling because they were winning. Like, they were being yelled at because they were winning. And it was like, well, that's a little aggressive. Like, you're they're doing such a great job. But Shores Speaker 0
is knocking ice cream cones out of their hands. Speaker 5
Like, yeah. Fish shot and scored in, like, how many games? Speaker 0
Yes. Again, though, they were still winning. You don't ask how many. You ask how right? Speaker 0
you don't ask how you Speaker 5
ask how many. Ask how many. Speaker 2
mean, if it is your job, score goals, and you are considered a goal scorer for the team, and you are not doing your job. I don't see anything wrong with them going, hey, I know we're winning, but you're not part of that winning. Speaker 0
Yeah. I mean, we Speaker 2
need to fix that. Speaker 5
Can't be coddling them. Speaker 4
Yeah. I just I I wonder where the the balance is going to be or if it's just gonna be more of the same of this season where it's just all okay. There's still winning, they're winning, winning. Speaker 0
Yeah. I mean, in Jared, we trust. Right? I'm sure they'll they'll figure something out. But, yeah, it's gotta be higher stakes than this. Sure. Speaker 4
Or maybe there's too many games being played between the sheets now for everyone. You know. Speaker 0
No one here brought up the fact that Tracy broke his own rule. Speaker 5
that's what you expect Shoresy to do. Speaker 3
But that there's a Laura. Speaker 3
a lot. Now now there seems like a lot more relationships that need to be dealt with. Mhmm. So I I'm wondering how long the hitch Pam thing's gonna last or if that will just be something that settled over the off season. Mhmm. Speaker 5
They'll they'll be married during the Speaker 3
off season. A little bit married Speaker 0
and divorced. And stuff. Like, we'll skip a bunch of shit. Matt, what do you Speaker 1
I think you're I think you're right about the skipping the playoffs. That that makes sense this time. So he's a one at annoyed us because he wanted to see the playoffs. Speaker 1
that would but this time, there's there's nothing on the line. They've already attained the the money they need to post the tournament. So that's all we care about. It makes complete sense. The thing I I think and why I was just waving and I was gonna bring up is, yes, Shorzy did break his rule, that he or the the asset he put upon the team. I think that's a sign of things to come. So I'm expecting next season there to be a bit of a, a mutiny Speaker 1
Yeah. Mutey concept where he is he is starting to lose the trust of his own team and those around him because he's getting his priorities mixed up in some in some level. Yeah. Speaker 0
I can see the episode is going, hey, we we held up our end of the bargain. What the hell? Yeah. Speaker 1
Yeah. And maybe Laura has a big part of that. Right? Like, maybe starts to balance out what's important and and who knows where it goes from there and, and loses the trust of his team. So I wanna see a little controversy against Shoresy because he's usually he's the one digging or handing it out, but Speaker 1
see it come back and get him. Speaker 0
Interesting. Victor. Speaker 5
Yeah. So Hey. So first of all, I agree with with you. I think they will skip the playoffs because there's no point. They will go directly into the the tournament However, Speaker 5
bit contradictory to think that they're gonna turn on him because if if there's gonna be a time jump, that time jump would have been inclusive of that reaction to him Right. With Laura Moore. Speaker 0
Unless they don't find out until It Speaker 5
would have been yeah. Sure. But by then, who the fuck cares? You know, I I I think that definitely there's gonna be there's so one, you know, one, like, it's exciting that he and Laura more finally get together, but I feel like in a grand scheme of things is it's almost too soon. Right? Because you're, like, in sitcoms traditionally. Speaker 5
The whole life of the sitcom, like, you know. Yeah. You're it's yeah. And as soon as they and as soon as they come together, that's usually the downfall of whatever show you're watching. Right? Because nobody uses. Speaker 3
They build it up over years and years and years. This is one season build up. Speaker 5
Yeah. Yeah. So so there I think I think one of the things that Kiso's gonna have to do in a clever way is for us to continue to care. Right? About that relationship. And the only way that happens is if it doesn't go, maybe peaches and cream. And maybe they do kind of something happens. And who knows? Because of his douche baggery or whatever, because it's gonna have to be him, not her. And you're right. And and and so something happens where maybe they they get distance again because I think it's too soon too fast too soon for them to be together. Mhmm. So hopefully he'll create something that separates them, and and what who knows what gonna Speaker 0
be that she ends Speaker 3
up being too much of a distraction. Speaker 5
Yeah. May well, yeah. Maybe. Speaker 3
Maybe maybe it's a distraction. Speaker 5
Yeah. Maybe she'll be a Yoko some sort. Yeah. Speaker 3
I don't see that. I see him being too distracted by it because Speaker 5
he'll be the yokel. Speaker 3
Yeah. Exactly. He'll be hit his own yokel. Speaker 0
So Dean, what do you think? Speaker 3
Yeah. I I'm kinda curious if they'll if they'll even show you the the senior, champion. So Do Speaker 0
you think they would actually skip both tournaments? Honestly, I would be surprised. Speaker 3
I I I would like them not to, but I wouldn't be surprised. Speaker 0
Well, here's the thing though. I think it's a setup though because I I I have heard a little bit of, what's the word? Criticism of the show that they're always playing home games. Right? So they've set up this tournament that's only going to be played in suubbery. It it it kinda makes sense that, yeah, though, that's the whole the whole season will be taking place during that tournament because it's gonna be in sugary. They don't have to go to the zoo or go to, wherever. Right. Anyway, Sarah. Speaker 3
Yeah. I don't know. I mean, Speaker 3
I don't they there are so many things. I think because expectations have been set for so many years over from Letter Kenny. Speaker 3
And now that they've done this one thing that Letter Kenny has always done. Right. Right. Yeah. It's it's not it's not too it wouldn't be too unexpected for them to do that.
Speaker 0
They'd like to see
Speaker 3
that they just complain. Maybe they collapse in it. Yeah. And that's what spurs the they need to get back on track.
Speaker 3
I would what I would like to I would like to see the senior, the senior champs. But I I would I would like to see more how Shoresy and Laura work out. If the if it does work out. If it doesn't, I'm cool with that too. I I mean, I like I like the spark. Yeah. And and I do think I like the spark of from when they're when they weren't together. Mhmm. We haven't really seen them together together yet. Yeah. So, aside from she's letting them in and taking her shirt off. That's That's pretty much it.
Speaker 0
So Yeah. What is the relationship chores you look like? That that's interesting. Exactly.
Speaker 3
I don't know how much longer we can hammer on JayJ and his foibles with too many women. And, you know, I because that's that's gonna get old quick. Mhmm. I think it kinda already has. But I would like to see JJ either settle down or either that or the some I think somebody's gonna some we're gonna lose somebody from the cast. If it's anybody, I think it'll be him.
Speaker 0
Yeah. Well Yeah. Interesting. Tiara.
Speaker 2
Oh my goodness. So There's no way that I can keep track of what everyone said because I was constantly going, oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. That would be good.
Speaker 3
Oh, that would be good. Yeah. But a
Speaker 2
few of you, I agree with you, a few of Anyway, I think with I I kinda wanna see Laura regretting sleeping with Shorzy. And then having her go, I need space. I need to, you know, figure something out, you know, that sort of thing. And so we've gotten this, like, taste of them together. Now they're gonna part again for a while. Like, I feel like that would be a really easy thing to slip into because
Speaker 2
was fighting it for so long. And then all of a sudden, she's like, God, you yeah. You got it under my armor. Alright. Let's do it.
Speaker 2
And then maybe she wakes up the next day going, what the fuck did I just do?
Speaker 3
I just had a thought. What what if that was inversed? She's been so pushed off for for so long, and now she's totally invested. And he's like,
Speaker 3
Oh, my god. He's like, that would be interesting. I don't know about that. I don't know about that.
Speaker 2
I mean, she's a single mom with a kid. Let's not make that I think.
Speaker 5
Maybe she gets pregnant during the off season.
Speaker 2
See, the pregnancy is not something I thought of, but like, the other thing I was thinking of is somebody gets injured or something like that where it takes them out of the equation and then the team has to figure out how to win without JJ or Michaels or Schoresy, you know. I feel like that's, like, we haven't seen any kind of injuries or anything like that yet. We haven't, had to deal with what that's like to actually have to rework the plans because somebody gets pulled out, not just because someone doesn't show up. So, yeah, like, that's that's kind of what I, like, I would really like it to be Shoresy, honestly, I think that, like, Shorsey getting injured, like, he he was kind of wrestling with his own age in the second season a little bit too.
Speaker 0
Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 2
So, like, if he got injured, maybe he has start think we'll, like, start coaching or something like that where he has to reframe his idea of hockey, which has been his whole life. Maybe, yeah, something like that, but maybe that's in the future.
Speaker 3
Maybe maybe singer in the off season starts, practicing.
Speaker 3
and that's how they flip it.
Speaker 3
Enjoy these coaching and singers on the ice again.
Speaker 0
I I was gonna say, can you imagine Sanger one day delivering the line to shores a year a healthy scratch on a on a senior well shit hockey team. Call call it a day or whatever. Whatever he says, can you imagine that? That would be Yeah. Anyway, that'd be kind of a full circle moment there. Yeah.
Speaker 0
Alright, guys. This is a lot of fun. And again, Dean Tiara, thank you so much great to to see you guys and hear your voices again. All we have left here is final comments, and and I'm saying them. I mean, thank you guys. It's great to see you. We got season twelve letter Kenny coming. And as sad as that's gonna be, I hope you guys will come on to to do the recap for that when it's done as well.
Speaker 2
It's tradition. You don't fuck with tradition.
Speaker 0
Exactly. Thank you. Alright, Antonio.
Speaker 4
Yeah. It was absolutely great to see both of you. So glad that, things are going well. You're healthy and and happy. It was wonderful hanging out. It was like old times. I just wish I was a little bit more awake for it all, but, I love the laughter. I love the, the, the reviews and your, your thoughts are always so enlightening. So thank you.
Speaker 1
Yeah. Another fun one. I missed you guys. I missed you guys. Been a been too long, but I'm I'm so glad that we're not fucking with tradition, and you guys continue to show up. And, deliver such amazing reviews on these season recap. So love you all. Been a great night. Thanks.
Speaker 5
Yeah. Victor, yeah. You guys are awesome. Nice to see you again. Not only do we have season twelve, but we have forty nine random episodes of something.
Speaker 5
That's gonna be pretty cool. And, Dean, looking forward to seeing you in another, remake of, as a, what, maybe a teapot? In the feuding.
Speaker 3
The one the one character that I did see was Iago. So I would have to work on my,
Speaker 1
come your bills are power free.
Speaker 3
Yeah. Come on, now. So it's a good so
Speaker 5
good luck to you on choices.
Speaker 0
That'll be tough. Speaker 2
He won't do voices, but he's he can do voices. It's very frustrating. Speaker 0
Yeah. We've heard him do some voices, some other kidney voices. We know exactly. Dean, up to you. Speaker 3
It's been fantastic to be back here and see all the bright, lovely, shining faces. I, I've really missed being out of the picture. It's been hard. It's it's kind of, you know, there's a love hate because I I I love what I'm doing, and it's so hard for me to do the other things that I that I had been regularly doing. So I I just I have to live vicariously. Yeah. Speaker 0
Anytime, man, anytime, and Tiara. Speaker 2
Yeah. Like, what what Dean said, like, a big reason why we've been so out of it is just because we're both so incredibly stupidly busy right now. And, like, I I really miss I miss popping into your your Thursday nights and hanging out with the crew. Like, I miss doing that. I, every every week, I'm usually like, oh, I should see what they're doing. And then usually I'm a little too late because I've, you know, dissociated through the evening. Or, like, I look at the clock and go, oh, I'm going to bed in, like, fifteen minutes. I'm it's not gonna happen. So it's really, really nice to actually hang it with you guys again. I want to do it more. I want to do it in person. Like, it yeah. I want Speaker 0
One day. One day we will. Speaker 2
Sunday. Alright. Speaker 0
