Seeing the Takeover team is sitting around. Having a meeting about the next takeover and what they are going to do? Okay, everybody, our biggest take over yet, Al was on vacation if we were celebrating the third anniversary, but now he's kind of crashed. So yeah. So be team were bringing our A-game. Trace you have got the skit. Let us do better than that. Weird. Gibberish rap thing from last time, please. Okay? Then what is make sure the skit is coherent and spell. The correctly and that is not some weird gibberish rap thing. Okay? Yeah, Trace. Don't be such a dork Aaron. Let us go for super-sized robot voice. Extravaganza, I want deep Cuts, I want Fringe characters. I want the weirdest accents you can find, okay? We could do Australian or New Zealand or Australia and New Zealand and awesome. Awesome, where's awesome. Awesome can do the biggest the toughest quiz ever, or we could listen to this. What is that? Awesome. I think you know sitting here at the production meeting. It got me thinking about the production meeting you know the first the OG and Horn you're talking about episode zero. Awesome thing goal is no absolutely not episode 0 is never played. It is not allowed not to argue semantics case but in the playlist it says you can Skip it not that you must skip it Ergo. If I can skip it then vis-à-vis, I can also not skip it QE f****** d, right? But, you know, Al isn't crazy about it, would rather not play it, isn't it? The right thing to do respect his wishes? Well, sure, if he was here, I mean he connects the whole thing, but guess what? He ain't here. We are. So I say we play it and make fun of them. What about you big shoots? You're suspiciously quiet over there. I heard it. What was that of it? I listened to it. I heard it. And what will? It's like, I mean, try imagining like, have you ever great? Awesome. You broke. Trace guys, guys, guys, what if it's cursed like in the horror movies? Something happens to anybody, that hears it here that awesome cursed, no, seriously guys. What if when we start to listen we set in motion is Series of events that can't be undone. Like the skies turn red and the sun, turns black, and blood begins to rain down. Well, armies of the undead arise to walk amongst the living. Think about it. What if we listen to it? And then the clock strikes, thirteen, allowing the vengeful spirits to enter this world. Wreaking havoc, and Malice on innocent Souls. What if episode 0 is the harbinger of all that is evil and is let loose by our hubris and conceit that it would turn our portal into a Gateway from the underworld, unleashing d. It's upon this Earthly plane only. Yeah no we're definitely gonna listen, we will just ask for forgiveness instead of permission. Oh geez. We are screwed. Yeah. But this is kind of what we do and the one thing you don't f*** with tradition. Hey guys, how are you now, I am not so bad. How's it looking? What kind of take over Shenanigans? You got planned this time? What's behind your back? Awesome. What's what? L awesome is that episode? 0, course not. This is a, you know, just a sudden we had land Casey, catch your play. Hello everyone. And welcome to the inaugural episode of the podcast of the produce stand a podcast paying tribute to the great comedians show. Letterkenny Now I know that what you're thinking, there are many other podcasts about Letterkenny out there. But this podcast, it's one, since I am Ally your host and joining me in the room is the lovely tana and online we have Matt and Victor. Hey, welcome guys, how are you doing tonight? Well, how you do? My friend? Yeah, don't all speak at once. I just want people to just let it settle in there is yeah, we're will find a pecking order. We still don't know who's funny enough to start. So, thank you for Joining and for agreeing to do this it's been something I wanted to do for a while, and we just didn't have the right subject matter for it so hopefully we found it. So we're going to start off by saying, I know this is going to be a weekly hopefully weekly podcast. We're going to recording in progress, some Recaps of the great comedian show called Letterkenny and I know there're some dissenters in a room that man that don't think so and hopefully, we're going to change some Minds here. So yet to be determined. Right? Exactly. So, just a little bit of background Victor, Matt. And I, we have kind of done some podcasting in the past and actually it was Matt who turned me on to Letterkenny a while ago. So 10, you can blame Matt, he mentioned it one day. He said, hey, you should watch this show. Letterkenny and I thought, at the time I didn't have access to it, I didn't have craved, so I couldn't watch it at the time. So yeah, that sounds great. Maybe I will and the more I heard about it, the more I saw at the mall like I think this Could be a show that I could enjoy. So, finally got a chance to watch it. And when I watched it, I just started slicing through it. Like, I have got, I have seen are all 88 seasons. It's Matt. I think you have seen them all as well. No actually, I have only seen the first six seasons, I believe and I remember a couple very little to be honest. It's been a while, but I am excited to go through it again. And rehash the moments, I loved in the moments, I ate because, you know, I mean what else an admittedly? I mean I really enjoy the show but there's definitely some elements I am in between on, so I am excited to see what my opinion, changes on it. And find those golden nuggets again. And Yeah, it's gonna be a fun run. Okay, so you have seen most of it but you're on the fence Victor. I think you said you saw the first season only correct? Yeah. But it was a long time ago, so I remember nothing. All I know is, there's cut a couple of dumb hockey, hockey, dudes, and that's been funny. Oh my God, that's why I want to continue watching it, all right? Has nothing to do with hockey though, this show, right? Well, it's, that's what I hear hockey is 1/4. There's other stuff and then it's pretty big. I don't want to speak for ten. Yeah, but I will just say this that when I started watching this episode this show One Day. By the way, it changes my wife. So we live together. So she came, and I was watching the fit the first, the one chick in the room with you and basically I think her words. Were what the f*** are you watching? And it's been downhill from there, so she's a skeptic on this podcast. She's the one whose mind we really have to change our eyes, the skeptic because I don't think that we're Victor are 100% on board. All right, I have a sister and figure out how to wrap his hand pause. No, it's just. I know there's been a bunch of hand raises, but I didn't want to, so let us go start a good spot. Yeah, just trying to find a good spot. Alright guys, so we're listening to episode 0 and obviously a lots changed Aaron. You, you had your hand up first. No, it's just it's crazy. Listening back to this and like the infamous introduction of Maddox earn tenure in you, you know, like, there's something so special and so green about how you guys are talking and trying to figure everything out like we will get more into that later but it's just and then Victor's microphone. I miss it. Yeah. And yeah just said and Jeff said in the livestream, hello s*****, Mike vicar. It's funny because Matt's Mike It was pretty bad too. In the beginning, I forgot about that because we didn't give him s***. He must have got a new one pretty quick. I don't remember when he got up by he's using one of those combo headset and with the mic that didn't sound great like your neighbors. Yeah. End up getting like a Blue Yeti or something. After as we were talking about in the pre-show those three had no clue. What was in store. I kind of did right. At least I had a goal to where the podcast is going. Get to they had no idea what even I mean, how big a podcast could get right now? You know? So they had no clue, but I was always like, thinking and game is like we want to do interviews. We want to do a bunch of stuff and hopefully one day get noticed by the product, you know, by the show which we did but yeah early on there it was yeah it was just me trying to guide them along. In fact, I cringe every time I say I am not going to speak for my wife because then I go and speak for her. But she was not well you can hear it. Like she hasn't said anything yet and it takes her a while to get comfortable but yeah, it was fun Trace. What did you have? I will say on a 10-year, I think there comes a point in everybody's tenure as a Letterkenny fan that you try to show it to someone and you get that. What the f*** is this? Yeah, yeah, I tried it. Well, also, the Other thing I like is Matt starts. Talking in the beginning like he's going to kick around playing The Devil's Advocate role or no? Yeah he's like the biggest fan. Yeah. I mean, but he was like there's some stuff I you know I am not sure about and you know I am interested in go Max he's like dude you're the biggest champion of it all now. Yeah and Victor has not become full-blown Victory yet. No, at least not on the podcast. This is early Victory, or we're all still feeling them out. And I think it's funny because Matt It sounds very official almost like he's trying to like be this professional, you know, kind of guy and it now we know him better three years later when just to remind everybody when was your actual anniversary what was your inaugural July through? August 18, I believe was the date. The first episode was published. Yeah. So that was last week we weren't we're on vacation. So unfortunately, we weren't here to do anything for the Anniversary. But yeah, here we are and happy anniversary to us. I believe Mary anniversary. Every year. Aaron said that this is the leather anniversary. Yes, cheers, it's perfect, it's perfect. Yes, lover, yeah. Cheers to you guys slaughtering my, that's how we're all in black. Yeah. Let us remember. Three years is to me, last time, I guess to be said to be better. Yeah, I mean I didn't know if we would go this long, but I am happy we did or even this regularly like for a while. There we hadn't missed a week, I think in over a year I believe which well in that, when were scheduling vacations on anniversaries, okay. And that was something. I made a note of when I was thinking about, when I was relisting to it, for my homework is that you say eight seasons and it's funny to think you're like, okay Seasons. But then you Listen to all of them, you guys do your reviews but then you never let it lag ever. There was never a lag. I mean, we could count how many weeks you did, take off on one hand, you know, well, in the beginning, it was easy, not to take a week off because it was like, we had eight seasons to cover. We could just keep going nowhere to go, and exactly. Yeah. The pandemic kept us at home kept us, it is much different more difficult now. Now things are opened up. Yeah. Yeah, you give like what are we doing this week? Oh yeah we got a skull. Making us. Make sure we're at home on Thursday for the podcast. Yeah so it's a bit like she want to like hit the road with all your gear. Yeah. Well and we keep done. We will get to that but I also like how in the beginning how naive we were and also how little we actually knew about the show. So I always thought to myself, I mean there are people here who watched the show over and over again. I don't know how many times it's clear. This was our first time through and you will hear what, you know, packed with me when you say stuff like that. Okay, well there're no eyes to contact right now. But it's even I like when towing, and when on, when Victor will see in a second, he puts up his background and it's an ostrich. And for some reason, I it I didn't include you in a row, that's so funny. Yeah. Like stuff like that's kind of cringing now but you know, we know better now anyway. Let us see. Yeah, let us listen on there, but well, to be I have to say to be on the real reason I was intrigued by it is because, and I think I shared this with you before I will say, I love the show Corner Gas and less than kind, and I think less than kind was only one season. But corner gasps, I love both of those shows, and I was hoping that Letterkenny would be kind of In The Same Spirit as though, shows. So we will see ya. I mean, I am Joyce connait. Sorry, go ahead. I enjoyed corner. Last two. But I compare this show more so to like, what was it trailer park, boys. Like it, was that kind of level of, that's fine. Yeah, no. I know I can't bring myself to that kind of level of mind-numbing — so, I mean, I am not a fan. I am not a huge crowd blog post and I never really got into it. My brother was a big fan of bigger fan but I never got into it, but I love letter, Kent and I know. And I am going to admit right now It's lowbrow for sure, it's lowbrow but my argument is it's also very smart and it's also like one of the most inclusive and important shows to come out of Canada and maybe I missed something about the Trailer Park, Boys. But I didn't see that kind of stuff in it. I was of Corner, Gas fan, I liked it. I thought I always can compared. It was like the Canadian version of Seinfeld was basically a show about nothing. And but it took place in the Prairies and I mean yeah I mean if you look at a lot of the Canadian content out there. We always go low budget. I mean, we don't have the big dollars that they had due to the south of us. But we create a lot of very unique clever writing style shows and Letterkenny is definitely one of those gems that came out of all this. So I am glad that it's got the attented As and I mean the ratings are beyond what they ever imagined with that kind of with this show. And it's, yeah, I don't know if you know any what the his it started off as just a web series. That's right. It was a it was the five episode webserie back in 2013 and it was until 2016. Little known fact that Letterkenny started out as a web series in and that's where talk off there and then it's really painful. So it's funny you bring up our wedding Gareki. So every time Jackie says have jerky, Sisyphus owed of that series. I am going to play for us now. Yeah, here we go. Here's some city girls, talking about paying to get their pubic hair ripped out with wax. Tell you what grab a cow by the tail kick in the Box for free if that's what you're into Friends. Barn cat had kittens so you took one. But f***, is it stunned? Your friends are at picking off groundhogs down the side road, they want you to come, but your dad's got the 22 and your gas tanks. Drives a fart. You print your pop to street meat vendor after the Jays game last night for selling you. I am Doug, making the go goddamn way. That was medicine. You drove down to Buffalo to watch lease play ensure gasps Chief but f***, they don't even have aldress chips in that s*******. The girl from up country you kind of like a cheese mouth breather and you heard her brother smokes meth. Yeah it has many Bucks near wall is box mounted on you while he died. Well give or take six bucks, he piss outside as much as the dog does. Tim's McDonald's and beer store all closed on Christmas Day and that's Patrol f****** world right there? You have your finger cut off, one of three ways by Shane bands up. Any box door pack? Coyotes come right up and back porch here. Because your dogs in heat, you know, those f****** yellow-eyed bastards go right through the screen door if they're horny. All right classic. Yes, you can make fun of us. Who do you think? Is he a real life problem that I have actually had not? Because my dog is horny but because they think my dog is snack-sized his make fun of us because you know, we're trying to impart this butter candy knowledge to an audience that is obviously well beyond which is fine. Now the audience but then who knows. Maybe but also how many of you though new all about all dressed chips and Tim Hortons. And right. So we were here to translate the canadiana of the show. You tell me, I appreciate it. Because when I first started watching Letterkenny, a lot of it was. Yeah, not known to me. I didn't understand a lot of the stuff and I don't think I Ink. I got almost all through it before I start listening to the podcast so that I had to like go back and re-watch everything. It's like, oh, that's what they need literally. Look closer to Canada than any of us. So, she should have known better. I don't know. I just figured it trickled down a little. That's like America. Well, I mean if people try and trickle down for 45 years and it hasn't worked. Yes. Don't you think it would suddenly start working? Now it sounds hot because it's coming from Canada. I don't know. I just trickled down the other day but yeah, well Johnny on the spot in the live stream says I am from the u.s. South, so there's So much culture. I had no real clues about, so there you go. We were trying, you know, we're trying to impart the Canadian culture, Johnny and Trace have that in common. Hmm. Yeah. And South, I don't fail. Oh ho. All right, let us get some. Let us continue and so you don't get anymore, any more Canadian than that. And I feel like one of the big things are going to do on this show because right now letter Kenny's is blowing real, not blowing up, but it's getting popular in the States because it's smooth. From Crave to Hulu. So there's a lot more Americans watching it. I feel like it's going to be up to us to kind of translate some of that couny Canadians. Can you translate it? Yeah. Yeah, we met up to translate it for 10 you too. So I think what we should do is that we go through this. I mean there's a ton of slang words, I have even looked up online. There's like a list of the slant of comes out of the show. I think each week, we should almost have a feature slang word that we can educate people on what they're saying brick. Keep must be just, what happened teacher? You know what? It was for a bit but I also feel like the show stopped introducing slang, you know, stuff like Alabama, Hot Pockets, and just like that, his all, looking it up on urban dictionary, right? But they stopped introducing those, I don't know, probably after season 3 or whatever can I do? It acted like you they have got our voices nailed, right? So the Don't have to constantly introduced new stuff. Yeah. And in fact if you do that then it becomes gimmicky, you know, I will for sure. But yeah and not only that but the one of the things I always liked about Letterkenny is they never explain themselves. Yeah, they just throw it out there and want to figure it out. Have at it, figure it out, if you dare, look up, lemon party. Faith in the audience. We are in the audience that I do. I was just saying, if you dare look up lemon, Party. Then. Yes, it's on you, right? Okay, I haven't and I still never done that. Do not doing it, just don't ya, don't but doing it. Can I just mention how it's something that I noticed throughout this episode, like, how cast managing Matt is, he's like coming up with like ideas? Well, segments. And then like, he's keeping everybody, this is a production meeting, right? That we were, we were throwing out ideas, no ideas, a bad idea. And Matt came prepared. Not so much. And, you know, Kenya, she was just there because I forced you to apparently, anyway, welcome syndrome. Yeah. So whose Bill, who plays way in the wing, the main character there? I mean, he's also the Creator. This of this strand. Yeah. Hey, they talked about it being Loosely based on his time growing up and little Ontario, you don't know where that is. It's about 45 minutes north east of sort of northwest of Kitchener. But funny enough the actual Show is shot five hours, North that up in Sudbury, a little known fact that. So it's very home growing. It's growing on the we could be like, the, the lingo and things, you hear in that are really, again, Loosely based but, but, but supposed to be inspired by some of his is experiences growing up. Yeah, I saw an ID — hey, you don't know, it's weaker, tedious, old beef, and m.com BBC Radio. I was getting on my mansion and a lot of this slang, he said about 50/50 of it as slang that they used growing up in this. Well and the other 50% is all made up. So, yeah, well some 100% sorry that I catch I know. And you know, listen I grew up in a town that was maybe twice the size of this table. But there was there's definitely a lot of that kind of terminology in that slang when I was growing up. And yeah and I also know, a few people who, for example, the squalid and character who, you know adds s is need. Alice Lee to the end of words. I know people like that. Like there's, there's so much. And the funny thing about that, and we will go into it. I am sure the most hick character on the show is actually the one guy from Toronto, so he's not even. He didn't even grow up in that kind of surrounding, but yeah, it's pretty funny. And it's not an original cast member. That's a great idea. I am like the, you know, we can maybe pick one or two terms that pop up in an episode and try to explain it. Maybe to tenure and in explaining it to tenure will explain it to yourselves to everyone else. We go along. Exactly. So, a lot of the research that I did anyway was courtesy of Letterkenny dot fandom.com and a lot of great stuff on blog probably be getting most of my factoids from that's just today. So we know and there's a lot of great stuff on their belt sample. The music on this show is really good. Like I am and so the website Gives will list all of the featured songs on each episode. So I think we can have some fun with that to just kind of talking about the music that they use on the show. What do you think it's hard to pin down whether it's all Canadian or not? I know, for example, the theme where is it? The theme song is called hudes who needs a Girl Like You by a band called Indian Wars and I didn't really No matter. If you look them up at all, I don't know if there's no, I saw that title but no, I haven't looked up your. Well, the thing is, they're not even on like I couldn't find them on Spotify. The only place I could find this song by them was on YouTube and another song by them. It's also used in the show and it's also just on YouTube. It's not like if they have a release it was a very small release. So maybe these, you know, these bands that they're picking are like friends of theirs, or who knows. But it will be interesting to kind of dive more into that. It's theirs. Awesome. Your hand is raised. Yeah, did you guys ever go over the fact that band changed their name was Jan? There are ya? Okay so we're on the same page there. Did you have the information in front of you? We haven't gone over it on the show. I was just going to bring it up now because I yeah what did they change in xeni? What do they change it to? Um, yeah. Hold on. I know this one job. Awesome. But why would you have it in front of you? Go ahead. I am looking at it while you're looking at up the like I just can't mention like a couple things that. Yeah, goals were continued throughout since episode 0 because I did write some of them down like you had the opening theme song didn't tag line, Victor, sharing the shows that he watches and then talking about music. You guys always really highlight, you know, the music. Yeah. It's always been a yeah. Key elements. Yeah, yeah, I think you love that Victor still doing his TV movie reviews and stuff because and I never watch any of the shows because I am not a huge TV. Every once in a while I will be like oh that sounds really interesting. I should just go watch that. And what do I end up watching like reruns of Letterkenny or site? Quite frankly I mean it's like okay there we go. Oh yes that's a good show. Psych looks like I love psych. I can't find out the name that they changed to, but it's they change it to a familiar name because it's also they have also had their music used on matter. Kenny but I don't I can't find its. Did it end up on the Spotify playlist? Yeah, but I do but I don't again I don't know the name of the band, but they changed to. So But it's like once I see it, I will be like, oh yeah, that's right it because it's familiar to me. Anyway, we will keep on listening until I find it. Some really fun. Some really weird music in it, too. I think, I think Victor, you may like some of it, but he may not like all that's all right. It's not a moans, it will taste. So yeah, you mentioned Creator is Jakey. So he plays Green, the main guy named jerky. So I got the Dima and The co-creator writer and producer. Jacob Tierney. He's the guy who plays the past one on the showed Pastor Glen to Glen. It's he's also a very interesting character. Yes, we remember what it is. All right, shoot, it's the volunteers, is it? The volunteers? Okay, I can't remember whether they have got volunteered tracks, then on Letterkenny. I thought it was a different one, but yeah. So they change. That's why that you can't find them on Spotify because I think they changed The rain probably because it's probably not quite PC, but yeah, exciting, no, no, yeah, okay, thanks for looking that up. Yep. Looking this up, I assumed, I mean, just my assumption that would have been Darrell is Buddy there. That was, was the other Creator. But when I found out was Glenn, that's that I kind of caught me off guard, but I would excite me as well. I mean, Glenn's a really interesting character to follow. Got his own flavor, the brings to the show. And, again, the writing is brilliant in this. So, it's just funny to watch it all to come together. And like I said, I am excited to go through it again. Yeah, it is weird because you're right. Darrell is the character who's in the original web series. Ruiz Letterkenny problems. Yeah, and he's also on the show that guy who's always wearing the one-piece jumpsuit, but it's Jacob Tierney, who's the co-writer and it's just the two of them, right? And so it is a very small production table smallish production by Canadian standards. It's probably massive. But by, you know, normal North, American TV standards, it's small. So you have got the two writers and the one writers also the producer. Yeah. And what I found out again, I am Me. We now know that's wrong. We know their risk was part of writing team from the beginning. We know that other episodes have been co-written at least by others. But, you know, there wasn't a lot of information out there early on You found it, and we will eventually and I will say none of this is absolute fact. I mean, the good old Dr. Google helps us along the journey as we go. But when would I was curious about why they chose the Sudbury area to do a lot of shooting and the only facts that I seem to land on was apparently that area like a lot of areas, you know, have all kinds of funding efforts that they do to try to encourage people and bring a Productions like this up their way. So a lot of benefits and grants that they Can benefit from. So there're some assumptions that they definitely took advantage of that. I am is what position? I am obviously, very Sudbury. Yeah, and I mean already, I want to go up to. I have never wanted to go to Sudbury and now I want to go because I hear they do like Letterkenny tours on our town or whatever you want to call it built on a big rock as basically, what the f*** it is, right? And then they have got the giant nickel and that's where the moon landing. Shot to. Yes, I am totally good conspiracy theories from Dave. F****** why is Victor quiet about that? Yeah anyway so here's another neat. He's quiet because I made that comment to bug him because he I knew I know he's Mr. Science and that a conspiracy because that is an existing conspiracy theory that the moon landing was shot up in Sudbury because of the barren landscape, right? Which it's obviously not true but I said that Taryn Yeah, well yeah this is because there's a it's built on it. There's a massive crater in Sudbury. So that's why they thought it was trainer. I realize this is just a production meeting in spitballing ideas and everything, yo, hadn't got to the point where you're really funny with each other, you know? Well, because literally, this is I called him up and said I want to do a podcast. Come on. Come. Let us and then let us get on a zoom meeting and talk about it. So, Really, there's zero plan, the only stuff that, you know, the only attempts at humor were kind of that opening. You know, many other Letterkenny podcasts out there but this one like that part of it and whatever I do at the end I don't remember if I do the same thing at the end. Hmm, everything else. But I knew it would come because I worked with Victor before. I knew we were going to clash. And I knew that Matt wants like I knew Matt had the personality. So I knew all these things and Tanya when she got out of her shell, was it was going to be great too. So But you're right. It's probably the biggest surprise what I mean when you start with in the early episodes Bringing the Tanya experience it's like, yeah, whole funny as hell. Yeah, it has her own following Among Us. Ladies, I think I feel like, yeah, well, I don't know if I had listened this long, if it wasn't for her in her, you know, in the beginning, little Parts, but just her being so human and so real. And honestly, what a totally adorable marriage? You guys have to, I have to admit thanks. I didn't realize it until I was putting. Gather, the first trailer for season one and all of the funniest clips involved her and like oh s***. She took over God damn it. That's what you were doing. This year's. The Dickens in your mind was Sudbury. Anywhere near what you thought, or where you thought this was going to go, like, know any small, partially not, because again, as it's never been there before, I have lived here, my entire life, I have four hours subset Sudbury. Never had any reason to get up there and tell me from what you hear from Tanya there. Whether there was a head was any prayer of convincing her that we should go up to Sudbury for any reason? Oh, it's coming. Oh, I know it's coming but at that point there was no. Yeah, it would have had to have been a boy's weekend or something, you know where I would say. Oh, we're going up to Sudbury for the weekend, you know, dude, you barely got her in the studio. I know questionable at this stage, if she's even going to continue the podcast, Yeah, for sure, when the pendant, like when the pandemic ended, I thought, or even when we started with the kitchen rentals, I thought, yeah, there's no way she's going to continue, but she looked forward to it as much just for the social interaction, right? Yeah. All right. Here we go. There's a segment. I was thinking we can do, because the whole the throughout the whole show Wayne the, the main character. He always has these kind of rules or words of wisdom that he goes by, and I am thinking we can probably use that as a segment to Wayne's words of wisdom. They liked Alliteration on the shelves, those stop to put him down and really like this is, by the way, a production meeting. Everyone's listening on, we're just kind of deciding what this podcast is going to list them. It sounds like, as we move forward. So those of you just joining us? Yeah, you know, are more than welcome you back. Your what do you think you want to do a hockey segment? This is my favorite part. I mean, I am expecting her to take. Sorry, was that? You know, go ahead. Well we could do anything. I can you know I made a new friend over the last couple of weeks. I got an app a new amp but it's a Smart N. It's an amp that jams with you, so it's it. You start playing. It starts to listen to what you're doing and then gives you a drum beat and a baseline what and starts jamming along with you. Yeah. It is it like it's a karaoke, a guitar. First, what's not karaoke? It's it follows you karaoke, follow the key, the machine, the idiot this, the machine follows you, that sounds great. A whole Twist on the whole thing. So do you want to do like a Marc Maron to you or you play a little guitar thing at the end of the nine episode like Marc Maron does on his podcast, is out what you want to do? I didn't know that he does that but yeah I am game whatever. Yeah I don't have a guitar here now but I can certainly set that up. Alright well we will have too Yeah. Maybe you can learn the rift to the lever Kenny theme, and then we can just have your class in. I was just going to say that we need some rest coming from Victor. Yeah, which means that we have got a couple musical talents here in the house for those listening in here. Mister, mister, Al is also a musician, so, yeah, but I am not connecting. So, thanks. I expect great things. Oh, great. Yeah. Casey, this is my favorite part of episode 0 because it's really where Victor shows up for the first Time. Hey, Victor, do you want to play hockey? Segment will know. I am going to tell you about my karaoke machine. Yeah, exactly. So you can see like I that's what I am expecting from him. The non sequiturs the I know you want to talk about this, but I want to really talk about this. So that's what I am going to talk about and then me making fun of him for doing that. So that's did you call it a karaoke machine on purpose to egg him on? Yes, you knew that everything I do is to, to try to egg him on. It's a bring Victor out now that he's out though, are, you know, it's kind of like the house that we want to put them back in the Box, horses. The whales are off, I know for sure. All right, off the rails, whatever. I feel like what are you drinking? Mi got the pipes. Oh, well, yeah, I don't know. For a fool, have any singing segments, but thanks and I will just use the pipes for the hosting duties. And I was also thinking we can as we go along, we can just kind of like rank are individually. Rank our favorite. Zodes. I would be interested to find out because I already know I am right. Got in mind, what mine are and I even tried playing a few to 10, you know, when I was trying to convince her that it was a good show failed miserably. So on that note, hold on, we needed tanning. You need to get in this for a second. How did he convince it is? Because the first thing he led with he said bring in tanyon she doesn't like the show, or she's not sold on. So why would she want to do a podcast? So I am really curious to know your angle and how he Bench to take part in this nonsense. Reality is a strange voodoo way over me to like convince me of things that I didn't know that I necessarily wanted to do maybe so yeah. This whole think twice if you need help. Yeah, I bribed her. Yeah. So I think this is his next ditch effort or last-ditch efforts to try to convince me that the show is good, and he's wrapped it up in a podcast, kind of way to force me to watch the show and try to gang up on me to convince me that this is a good. Well, as you can see, there's no ganging up involved because apparently, Matt, and or Victor are also not 100% on board, so we will see. There you go. So maybe will convince you that it's not a cut by the end of this. I want to take this podcast on the road up to Sudbury, and we can all four of us do the Letterkenny tour. After all the social distancing is done. What do you guys think all this shot? Okay. I said yes, to the you two are to the podcast. I am not sure. I am taking a trip for the letter. Letterkenny road trip. Now I am not sure. But you're right Jase, I called my shot. If you don't have a goal, if you don't have a, if you don't have a goal to work toward then yeah, you have got no Direction. What are you doing with your life, exactly? Fast. Forward to two years and Tang is the one with the spreadsheet getting taking us up to Sudbury. But then not only that, but it was until a realist into this to realize how much 10 you did not like this show. Oh yeah. I had no desire to watch it, huh? And I mean I guess, you know, Jeff says that's how that explains, how she got the new kitchen? Yeah, I mean I presume she was humoring you for the most part and supposedly she was. Yes, And but, you know, you can tell she's like, into it. And it's funny to hear her now, and she's both feet, jumped into it and loves every minute of it. Yeah, she has a great kind of spreadsheets spread where it's taking you guys to. I mean the community developed and everything is getting ahead of myself here. But, you know, all the things that have happened since this one's been, he, so yeah, yeah. The karaoke sell the carry case and the creator of letter. Can the community writer and director was it was a place Wayne. It was a plan to have the community but ensures e it. The way it turned out is all you guys had nothing to do with us. That's b*******. Mmm, created it. Sorry I am calling b******* on you out. You can't say it. Had nothing to do with you guys either case. You're awesome. So this thing in this community has grown up around it but I had nothing I started at equator diem. Group that started a Twitter, DM group. That's all that I did. You guys filled it in. You guys made it idea. Was that human is mine? Is mine because again, none of the others did anything in terms of, you know, Matt only recently started promoting the podcast. It's like Casey said, one time you built the sandbox and you let us play it. Exactly. And it's yeah. So Okay, I bet the Sandra a lot of people that won't let you play in the sandbox. Cassie says guys did you know that Jared Kiesel plays Wayne and Shore Z? Oh my God what just now telling me this I do believe. I don't know where alert thanks episode. But in an early episode, I also point out of Titania because she didn't know Oh what-what just got a, what's that an oil you in the background? We're allegedly, Microsoft teams, chat and Victor's. Even trying to tell me that it's a hostage by saying allegedly. And I did to his video and there's an emu allegedly. Oh, that's very apropos. I feel like I should take a screenshot of this. Where is that screenshot? But three years back in his phone. Yeah, hasn't been looked at since probably not. I mean I know this is a production style meeting but I think for those if there's anyone listening and who's never watched the show, which is probably rare, but in case someone stumbles across this, we need to set the stage. What is this show about? Give us. Let us talk about very high level. He can sound what's going on. Before we start getting into the episodes. That sounds, that's a good idea. So himself. So, stifling opens with the chair. Design screen, Letterkenny consists of hicks, skids, hockey players and Christians. These are their problems and I mean, that's a good. So every episode it seems gets kind of divided into four parts, right? There's the Hicks which is Wayne and his buddies are on around the produce stand. They got names. I will learn em later. We're dancing on the front of it is good buddies just or something, they're always dancing. NG to whatever kind of music that has something. Yeah, something ridiculous. There's a hockey players. Uncle. Let us go might be jungle a drum and bass stuff, wasn't it? Yeah. It's just all sorts of things. Yeah. And they're all like goth and stuff. There's the hockey players and their Victor's favorite there. And then there're the Christians, although kind of later in the seasons, we don't get as much of the Christians. Because anyway, you will see why. But yeah, so it's kind of each episode seems to kind of And around those four groups of people and yeah, Town Ontario and their problems. Yeah. And so listening to Jared key. So kind of talk about it, on cue again, like he talks about. I mean, the reason I love this show is just how inclusive it is and how they're making fun of each other. But in the end, they're always kind of band together because they're all from the same town, they all come from the same place, and that's kind of endearing part of the show, I find because the dark Group, throughout the whole episode, they could be at each other's throats but in the end, if one of them needs help that they're quick to help, which is kind of nice description of how Society should be and unfortunately isn't so that's one of the reasons why I love this show. What about you Matt? Yeah I mean it definitely it is unique. I think is one word I would use. It's nothing like I have ever seen before the fast-talking quick Pace to it. I mean all admittedly I lose it. Sometimes it gets beyond your really quickly with all the slang and a lot of the nonsense, and he says a lot of it's made up so it's hard to follow it time but there's Brilliance in amongst the writing and inclusiveness is definitely the top element there. I mean there's no talk. Out of range for them, but they handle them all very well with and without offense. But with Direction and it's just really you need to see how it all comes together. Yeah. So I mean, it's definitely something catches you off guard but it's an acquired taste of some yes. But if you get beyond the format and there's a lot of great content and jerky, so says that in his interview, said, we're he's mean with each other, but there's No, bullying. We don't we haven't met him in person yet. I need to use his full name and close to being like to bullying. That's where they kind of draw their line. And I know they come up to that line quite a bit, but they don't seem to ever cross it. Well, I think absolute one scene, one starts with The Bullying. Yeah, if I recall correctly, it's not too thin jabbing at each other and, and one of the best. I mean, the, my favorite line in the whole show, I happen in the episode one, and I will have that clip. Speak to her. I don't know if it will be next week, maybe in a couple of weeks. It depends on because we have vacation next week, but I will have to see if I can convince Daniel to do this. There's any coming up. One need to take over team. They f****** love so well over two times. Yeah, we will see whether we record next week. Hopefully we do but yeah, you're right episode 1 scene, 1 of episode. One starts with them. Jabbing at each other. What was the line now? I don't think it gets To bullying. Nice shirt. Does it come in? Oh yeah men's nice ones. He does it come in men's so you come in then you come in that enough for all of us. Not that was the one that grabbed me after that I was theirs. It's the most brilliant. They had known it'd come yeah. They had me at. Yeah coming men do like to see you and I That's never said one word in his life. You're right though he is so serious and down to business in this episode a and then yassen Defender. You have seen Matt smashed at karaoke. This mat is like ridiculous for this is a mystical has f****** stranger. This is matters. Not the guy gave a piggyback ride to. This is the matter that you would find at work. This is work mad at work. This is the map that write you back and says is this doesn't rhyme an email with I hope this email finds you. Well. Oh man I see that all the time here line. Sorry L her eyelids back. Matt we got to reroute a man said and done around here we go. No I don't know. Not no not until it doesn't end until e. But yeah other episodes do there's a lot of fighting and it's so Victor other than the hockey. What are you looking forward too just to really understand what the tone of the show is because, you know, the first time I watched it was really more out of some, you know, shiny new object that potentially could be very interesting, but I didn't really, you know, sit down and really try to it's, you know, I didn't register it. So I was watching sporadically. So I, you know, I think what I am looking to kind of to get is, what is the spirit of the show and I will try to kind of understand the characters, a little more. So it's not just the caricatures of what I recall. So I am looking forward to that. And also I am looking forward to not feeling stupid because I do remember myself watching some, some of the scenes thinking are there people that understand what's happening right now? As I don't think I understand what is happening right now and it's the irony of people that I think are dumber than me saying things that I don't understand. So Characters the Victorino. I feel like to pause there. This is, this is why Jared should have had locked in harder. Yeah, well he's pretty part here is Erin, still, thanks. Victor. Can do no wrong. Hey, when you're a fan club member you believe in the process, listen, it's a talent to be able to just take the legs out from under Um, one that in that way, in that manner, like almost like he's not insulting them, but he definitely is. Yeah, yes. I finally heard you are dumber than me, making me laugh. Like he's essentially saying good for people who I think are dumber than me for confusing me. Like, way to go. Well done. Good on you. Well done for confusing me who's obviously smarter than you. How are things going? Well, British, what for you very pretty. Very over there, right? It's very like across the pond. Yeah. Yeah. As you know, any further across the pond then Victor, right? So well we would you Pond. Yes. Anyway I knew I would stop there because the look you gave characters. And you know what, it's funny. Gasps, the characters are pretty two-dimensional, like their caricatures of each, one of them has their own kind of characteristics, and they don't really get too deep past there. Are there characters but for some reason they're still kind of really good characters? I find. Yeah, they're consistent with our gimmicks and any you might seem annoying but it's not because you're ready for it and you're expected, and they just play off their gimmicks that they build into the show. Yeah, it works. Yeah. And 10. You Dare. I ask. If you're looking forward to any of this, I am just I am having a hard time. She's just going to have a glass of wine and listen to us, talk about it and everyone to know she's going to make fun of us from Howard, keeping a hard time finishing a certain weight. So respectful her laugh is amazing. You know what, but I am looking forward to you guys changing my mind. I am like yeah. If this is as big of a show, as you guys are saying it is and as going as big as it is, and the states and the big in Australia, they're big and in this Jack in the states and some Lelands taxes loves am apparently, Tanya. I will have a reasonable idea that the show was bigger than it was two years ago. I had no idea that it's growing in omentum. So and this is all news to me like a cult favorite sort of thing. It's, it's, it's a bit of a cult following, I think. But I also think because I don't know what season mad maybe, you know, did they go from Crave to Hulu? Because crave is a Canadian, yeah, streaming service. So that the state's wouldn't have had crazed but there you go mansplaining, that's great. Kind of he went real well close up to the mic teenth and just to make sure we said over here in America. Yeah, you guys, I don't know. But what I would say and if it gives you any peace of mind, I think the arrangement that we have just created it's very similar to the top for we have in the show, you know, we have got it's a mainly male cast in The Show for sure. But you have definitely got the female to Katie in there in the mix. So you got your towel for you. Got the way in the Darrell and the Dan with sister Katie standing by To balance them all out. So I mean our Dynamic here, if you want to pull it out there's a bit of that going on. So what do you think? That's what he appreciates about Joe. Why thank you. I appreciate that. You're bringing that female perspective to this nonsense. You're the king. I look forward to it here. The token girls. Thank you. Okay I just keep on having made those flashbacks to the. Okay. Awesome. In our defense, the Takeover team has three 34. Non male members. So there you go. There's balance and the force is what he's saying, bucket at and drag to be, and we had to be the antithesis. So, funny Trace is the token mail. No Kiddin. He's our token, he knows, he knows we love him. Oh, I love that. Oh, patronising even when we change the script, that's right. Yeah, love you chase. All right, let us go. Where are they had so far from people? Audition fart Buck. I am sorry. I am. I am moving too far ahead and to believe that someone goes on her. In the middle somewhere, where I lost interest and then it picked up again. They were just, I think it might have been season 6 on like that was just brilliant from start to finish. I could be wrong. I will remember when I get there, but there's definitely it's a bit of a rollercoaster with some of the content. Yeah, I agree. We will see that we got through it. I agree with that analysis. Season 1 was graded. Hooked me in cause there's a few. Yeah. Spots. But then it picked up again and I can't wait for the next season. And so, I guess the next season will be seasoned 9, and I am wondering if that will be the last season actually. Because then when they got me say that I picked up, I think for three more seasons. So season 9 may be the last one, hopefully not, but let us fingers crossed and it sounds because they're short Seasons to I mean, most shows these days range anywhere from 8 to 12 episodes. I would say this 16. Yeah, six episodes of season so it's not, it won't be too dark. Do the math real quick in my head. That's 48 episodes half-hour episode 54. Oh well, I mean just right. I mean at worst-case. Yeah, you have to endure 55 episodes that is 54 plus. Not only do a 9, I was thinking eight times. They like episodes that have already been created. There's what is my mouth? They still, are they still shoot filming? Yeah, there's gonna be another season. Wow, so yes. Oh well, how many Episodes, have you recorded the podcast? Now one of them 200. Yeah, we're almost at 200. We're at 180, something that's awesome. Yeah. I am giving it back to stretch and knows how to stretch. Well he's one of the visual podcast about 30 seconds ago. I would have put up a timer to count how long it takes you all do this math. Okay, my master was right, but I didn't take into account the holiday episodes or any of that other s***. But six times, six times, eight were even aware. There were ha, yeah, exactly. I had no idea. Hey, we're doing it live right now, go on out, keep going. No, I am not gonna do it 5. Told there would be no math but 48 know. Maths is hard. So I was just proud that y'all got through it. But Matt said 54 m, like six times, eight isn't 54, I knew that many times. 8 is 48. I know I said because we're nice and, and, but he was thinking nine Seasons. I don't know what her. But anyway, I was wrong because there was, there was the St. Patrick's Day. Extra Alice. Yeah episodes. Right? So right. But not every season, you were f****** Subscription was a lapsed at the moment, right? So that's why you weren't looking at the specials correct? Yes I was. I was getting my Letterkenny from different sources but not anymore. I subscribe to Crave I know about halfway through. All right, so let us get this thing done. It's 5440 from Kuwait over people, are we still working on the math like Jesus? Well, I don't know what Matt's drinking four episodes but then you're right? There're six episodes of season and 8 times 6 is 48. It takes some all these pants on CDs. We need like the what the Jeopardy music or do, do, do while they were trying to figure it all this no Classic Soldier, its iconic, really? We hadn't, you know, Nailed down the dynamic yet. All right, thank you. Suck it in here and also Victor already with the nonsense. Victor already with the non sequiturs is 5440 like what the heck? It's yeah. Yeah, I thought I was losing my marbles roll. There's a few seasons that there are seven. Okay. Good night, talked about with the qualitative. So let us get back to the next on the agenda. All right, so I have got so here we have four segments of our Canadian. Slang music Wayne's words of wisdom, and favorite episodes and Victor's going to do something on his new guitar Contraption. When it should have been buying a new mic contraction, watch an episode of Egypt each week, we will all watch one episode. Make sure it's the same episode and the same show, and then we will come back, and we will all try to have some clips ready and loaded. And then, we will dissect it and talk about, and have some fun with it. Yeah, I think, I think also, we should Target periodically bringing a guest or something onto the show. I mean, not, anybody special. But to someone was another opinion on something. You know if we could find special, it was live. The love the small town experience. It has some insight on. Yeah. For sure as an example. Well actually when I spoke to Victor about the idea doing this, he came up with an interesting idea and was it was to have William his son who's how old's William 17. Now 16, but he's going to be 17 July 30th. Yeah. And that would be an interesting point of view because we're all around the same age and to have liked you know a teenager that might be interesting to maybe have his appeal it makes he would appreciate humor some of the humor maybe differently or from a Different perspective. Oh, I know he would end, and he's not short on opinion. He's not, what are we get that from? I know, because I have interviewed him before and yes, he's very opinionated which it's so Apple doesn't fall far from the tree. It's great. So that was a that was an interesting idea. We can maybe try that, if he'd be interested, you should cold call somebody from Sudbury and see if I was going to say, I kind of grew up in Sudbury. So From Little. Yeah. See if they really talk that way. Yeah, right. I think the well, apparently, they did Emily from work, and we will mention last names or where we work, but she's from that area that I can last long, though, it didn't it's about, right? Yeah, a jerk. He's a talks about that a couple interviews where things you hear, ya are directly taken from the way they speak. A lot of things that are just like slurred together as One big one word is actually a full sentence terms. Like I think I am gonna go get some of that comes from there as well. Yeah. So some of them are and then yeah you said it's about a 50-50. A lot of it's made up and just embellishment on the show for entertainment purposes and maybe we should mention we're weird all coming from, right? So Victor, you live in Toronto in the city and Matt uses the city as well, but you're originally from the East Coast, right? So I am from the Toronto area my family's all these. So I have spent a lot Timeout. He's right. But I wouldn't claim to be from a small town or of anything. It's so, so in Victor and Matt, we have kind of the City View. Wait a second. If we're going original in here. All right. Okay, I know, I understand you're from your, from the Eastern Bloc but that how old were you, when you came over, I was eight. Yeah, you so you grew up here your formative years were here. I think, what's important? Where did you spend your teenage years? Because So I spent a very strong perspective, so yeah, tell me about it. Absolutely good. And so, yeah, I am probably the one who grew up in the closest to the kind of life that would have been portrayed in list a little bit. Being a growing up in the marsh. And I do have some friends who fit the description and Tanya is just a little bit. You know, south of me closer to the city but, you know, GTA area. But not exactly a city girl either. So that's kind of the perspective we're bringing to this show. Nice. So we can create a spectrum. Yeah, it's a bit of a spec what our stalls ayat. Nice. All right, take a little deeper Matt. Do you speak Newfie? I understand it. There you go. That will need your assistance. Then on the show I believe I have learned well, but it's not new. Feel it. Santer, it's funny. It's Ontario. So comparing it to. For example, all in Ontario, so Corner Gas, how kind of, I don't know like more of a homogenized Canadian Accent. Yeah, Trailer Park Boys is definitely kind of like East Coast. It's funny watching this so there's definitely a way that Ontario, especially rural, Ontario speaks and, and it's very apparent in this show. It's different. It's different from Trailer Park, Boys or from Corner Gas. I would say so what I can say about Trailer Park, Boys and funding up. My sister-in-law actually at some point lived in the trailer park that they are. Originally shot the first couple seasons, and she will stand by the fact that is not true. You know what I mean? There's definitely some places that reflect that so growing up in a town, where I grew up where there's a lot of Portuguese and at times there were definitely a lot of that kind of Julian and of what were the characters names Julian and from Trailer Park Boys, do you remember? Oh my God. Guys, anyway, there's a lot of that, you know, wearing collared shirts with track pants walking around rum and cokes and like, there's a little bit. Was it a bit of that in where I grew up? But I couldn't relate to The Whole Trailer part angle and that kind of stuff. Well at Bathurst and steals where I grew up in Toronto. After I came here from Soviet Union, we had a lot of the Russian Community walking around and track pants. With those bricks cell phones in their hands. Yeah, so there's that actually. I also during the rum and cokes and glasses everywhere, they went well, those, you know, it is still a city, so those were a little risque, I think Toronto still, it does, you know, you know, steals is the borderline between Vaughn and Toronto and because bond is becomes like a dip. It's becomes part of the GTA. Where's North York is part of Toronto. So, alright, that's the you get a skinny pass on. The I was on a GTA there. You ready Trader, tyrannical and traumas snob he's probably right on the other side of Steel's. So looking across the road, with his nose up at those, North Yorkers, or those volunteers or whatever. Yes, the where the TTC would not dare cross. Look like, can I just say I am like crack it up over here. Like the fact that I actually know geographically from firsthand experience. Where these places are now. That's right. Yeah, yeah, watch yourself. Yeah, the Japanese place we ate was in Vaughan. Yeah. We were on steals though with the, we were little North. But yeah, yeah, that's the thing enjoy that. You called him a Toronto snob and then you all proceeded to engage in the very like nonsense. You were just previously completely complaining about you're using Lying. I, I have completely lost you and then just delve into this, like, Canberra, translators are gone. The help the Americans are gone. You all are in your own little world. Again, it's amazing is the production meeting and I label it. You can skip this for a reason we're listening, but we're less. No, but it is a good taste of like, your actual facts personalities. Yeah, you guys are there. I am the everything that you do is to needle. Oil Victor and get a rise out of him. Yes. I am like yeah, that's been everything he does is to do the same to all of us. Oh yeah, that's right. So yeah, you know this is right. I am just saying it's here. Yeah. In this, I am at being creative and then Matt being created with an audience is nice, do completely different things. Matt loosens up in future episodes, I think he probably has not been the very next episode, but I think they were all kind of feeling it out. Again. None of them had any podcast experience whatsoever. Sissy. These aren't criticisms. This is might. Yeah. But this is what I am trying to give you a context, right? These chickens. Yeah. But even myself I am listening to myself I am like really. It's kind of like I don't know. Are you giving yourself the ech? I am giving myself to you. Yeah. Don't it's great. It's cold f****** break, man. There we go. Let us try to finish this off here. Excellent. All right. Well I think we have ourselves a an idea for a podcast. Just what do you guys think? Might work. It might work. We will see. I mean I am excited to see the perspective here. I gotta get into a deeper, I am honest, and I am excited to hear your side of this as you have been dragged along for this again. Wink if there's trouble and it's going to be fun and Victor Ike's fully expect, you're going to take us up top from time to time. I might have to because I am scared to death that I am quite worried about you come here and you know you can ask from my perspective I am not going to understand you Sewed. So I will just have to change Utah. The quarter, that's why he does it? I am episode, it doesn't give them survival strategies are still okay with no, the flight. Yeah. Well, that's okay. Because we're Grandma response, guys, very soon. So I am going to get that. So that's, it's all good. Let me ask you just a quick. Before we start before we end up. Matt, what is your significant other think of the show? Did she utter, did you get hurt? She acts know, she's a fan. Yeah, she's absolutely a fan. I think she might actually be more of a fan than me. She pulls me to the TV more often than not. When we when it's time to watch. So we went through a little phase or binge. Watch it. And she kept saying, let us watch, Letterkenny, let us watch it. All right. All right. Maybe we gotta go. We don't have to bring. Yeah, yeah, we may have to bring her on at some point when the baby is in bed and yeah even sounds good. Absolutely, okay. Some city girls talking about paying to go wrong button. Here we go lunge as something which we're just gonna, you know, get all the every point. It's just a 54 episodes of figured out. Exactly by. Then we will have a perfect episode and that's all we have for this episode. Next week will begin episode. Recasted season 1 episode 10. Wait stop why stop here? Oh, podcast the words.com. Yes it too early to ask people to go and vote. So early Victory. Alright. Alright sorry. Alright let us get a few episodes under our wing. Let us see if we even you know, follow through with this. I appreciate your excitement dichter. I mean, I really do. I really like you're in the traceroute that maybe we will submit our at least you know, be great is if we can get Toronto, Mike to interview us that will be. I will feel like we have succeeded. If that happens, I know a guy who has an end so exactly. Exactly. Can I start the closing theme now? Victor. All right, here we go. It really did next week will begin the Episode Recaps with 7 1 episode 1 ain't no reason to get excited. We also invite you to visit our website to produce stand pod.com for episode Recaps, the list of our favorite episodes into email us, if you email us, or we might even read your email on the podcast, thank you for joining us. No one has ever even held at some charring done, except for Tobias, actually, too biased. Just email me all the time. Good night. Because to the Twitter World out Tobias didn't like Twitter, so he wait. Did you cut off the end was there? Now cut offs the end. Yeah, with Victor. Are you still recording to hold on right there? I mean, you can't leave that out, okay, you're right. Okay. So there you go. That's the f****** punch line episode 0, welcome to the f****** produce, stand. It's so good. Such a great episode. Really it was a bean going through. What we have what you guys have all gone through in life, like going back and listening again. It was just it was fun, it was great to hear ya, you know, an origin story. Yeah. What's up watching your podcast? Do you want like yeah, this is nice. But if anybody knows the episode where Tanya gets like hella hyphae about going to Sudbury the first time Didn't hit us all up. Let us know what I said, it is, you know what Clips, it is a promo. Maybe we don't do this for every episode, but if, if there are episodes of people want us to revisit like, for example, fart book, because that's the one where Tanya changes are to be made over. So sleepover might be another one. Like if there is some that are like good contenders for a re-listen. Yeah, I think we can totally prove unicorn now. That's right set. The record straight. Mr. Trace but, you know, I do have to say in tannins defense that when she talks about fart bug being her favorite, it's because that's when it's when they first all really come together and that's what she likes about. Not the Farney know, I know she will and that's what we all love about our favorite episodes. The irony is starting, it's still just the, you know, the finding the fact that it was the one she hated the most and had left such Ah, such an impression on us. Well, that was one of the cool threads about the early Seasons open till was a Valentine's Day was, is this going to be the one of the top five Valentine's? And I am going to get fart book. Octane has top 25 and he did. Yeah, it's a great episode. I thought that it was just, it was making it a thing, like, it's possible. You far Buck off cross-linking, Victor thing. Yeah, yeah. There was an episode where Matt was really hoping that episode would knock fart book oft annulus, and he got like I rate it, didn't ya. Maybe you remember why? I know you're gonna have to explain to me why this is not knocking fart look off because I think she did something crazy. Like she put it in like her number two spot or something. And then knock something else off and moved far book down. And it was like and he was like, why? Yeah, and he was like, justify yourself. Is there anything in that? You kind of wish you would have kind of gone with like either Victor doing riffs like you singing or no. I mean maybe the next Generation TBS most of those things dropped off for good reason, right. Like we did try Victor playing and zoom just wouldn't cooperate like he would play his guitar and started yet. You might better microphone amount of work. Yeah mate possibly yeah the whole Wayne's words of wisdom. We did that as long as there were words of wisdom and then after a while that's not being a thing just like the slang stop being a thing. So I think we kind of took things to their natural conclusion for the most part. I can't think of anything that we thought was a good idea that, and then we wall Victor talking hockey, but he does. That just whenever he feels like it, and we can't sew. I got a question for you. Yeah. How much of the those you say it happened, naturally? I mean, it sounds though, like you were in sync with Jared like your sort of following him, how much of that is conscious for you and how much is like, what is natural, is it, you know what? I am asking. Sorry, sorry about your key. So, yeah, I have had a letter to the Creator. My first contact with jerky. So what was the same contact you? All had. No, I think I just kind of went with the flow of the show like the show. Yeah. So kind of dictated what we were going to do with it. I mean, the big changes happened literally when we started having you guys on as guests and I really change things, it gave you get, it's funny, you mentioned. But yeah, gave mad an audience and I think he started getting a little more Giddy and also gave Victor somebody who to foil with so and tan. Yeah, I think he thinks The first episode that you guys brought someone on which one. Yeah, — was our first guest. I mean, I can look that up real quick here. If you guys been the spreadsheet is pint, hey, I have some housekeeping to take up with you, afterward director. Yes, yes, ma'am. I got question sir, it's not for now. Okay, for later because I remember what it originally was, was Alice said, if you become a patreon you can either come on and be a guest yeah or whatever. Product, you're trying to slip or I can't remember what the other thing was. Yeah. And that's still the case. Like for someone to be a guest, they had to be a patron. I think I only broke that rule. I mean other than like our celebrity guests or whatever, I only broke that rule for Sarge the Destroyer. I believe he was the only one we had on as a guest that wasn't a patron, but at the guy from Boston, he and his buddy Maynard came on, and they were fun, and we just had a really fun interaction. Ian on Twitter and I thought you guys are fun. You do podcasts, you should come on ours, and he's like, okay, so yeah, so we did that. The first time we had a guest other than Dean obviously, for the Recaps was Eliza. And that was for season, 4, episode 4, Letterkenny Town show. And then right after that, we got K Trevor and then Joshua was the next guest, Chad, and then was sporadic. We didn't do guests on the regular, until the following season than we had, Anna crystal done it like Then it became all the time and I think there was one time when we couldn't line somebody up for a guest, and we felt the whole we felt something innocent year. Yeah. So I was like yeah we can't do that anymore. You need to have guests because I think we need what take them back. I think I am like on the second season of giving and came on with Dane on the recap. Yeah, we did that. We all got to hear that voice. The voice of God. When was it? That was season 3? You see some degree Gap? I think because those are the season. He sponsored have season three recap here so whatever. But yeah, if you want to, yeah, it was great to have him on and you have a whole idea of having a sponsor that part, you know, I mean, I didn't think we'd ever be big enough to have a sponsor and technically we still aren't, but we have had a dentist having. Dennis was fun and Eric is just a good sport, so he doesn't pay us anything but, you know, he gives us free swag and stuff. So that's all that matters. And he makes you a custom f****** hockey sweater. And he's banging coffee and good coffee. For sure. He's doing the Lord's work by putting that kind of coffee out in the world. Yeah. Alfred, and the nice thing though, is that we have gotten so creative with his ads, right? So, it's been fun. We have had a lot of fun with those ads. It's fun to see used to just seeing live, but, yeah, it was just a live read and then I don't know what changed, that made me think maybe we should pre-record these, but I probably just got sick of repeating myself all the time. And so, I thought, if I just recorded play. Oh, so it was laziness. Oh, yeah. Most of the for, yeah. Most of my decisions. Are you met Al? Yeah, we met me like your passion for editing. Yes. Oh, I hate it. No, listen, that was a self drag. Okay. They're all right, so I mean, let us go around the horn and get final kind of comments, I guess. And I will just go on my screen here. Liz your first, I am first. Oh, this was so much fun. Yeah, I really want to go back and re-listen to of it until all the episodes. Now just like, you know, we go back and re-watch all the episodes all the time, but it is fun to know you guys, as well as we do. You know all of us your crew, your team and then to listen to the beginning again with fresh ears because having an assignment kind of makes it like, okay, we got a blank out the Slate. We can't think of you guys as you are and here we are. You know, all of us but didn't have any idea who you were, do, you know how many people actually listen to that first episode? I mean, it's all right. Well, it's our second. East bound luminous owed for just because it is because you know, when you tell people don't listen to this, they're gonna listen little minx. Yeah, it's a great like the highest is episode like don't what is it no reason to get excited that first, first recap episode we do but that one's like second because you have people do go back and for some reason and listen to it. So that's good. Yeah. Trace. I-i have always when I pull up the Spotify and all that stuff, I have always seen saying you can skip this one and I think I was into it originally, you know, when I started sure. But re listening to it, I was like, this isn't near as bad, as I thought it was going to be what it was. No. It's like I said, it's interesting to have an origin story and where they were, y'all were coming from and your thought process and it's nice to see the beginnings of the dynamic that y'all came up with, which is now like a well-oiled machine. But, you know, just with some Rust. Yeah. Yeah. But it's nice to see how the mines have changed. The enthusiasm has changed and just the way the show is presented as of Old. Because that the evolution of the show is nice because it's it was fairly natural. You know, it needs were addressed things, that didn't work, we're drop things that you knew would work or added. And now it's this and it's really cool to go back to the beginning and see how that all began. Yeah, I agree. It is fun. You know, as much as cringey as it was to listen to it's fun to see some of that. Here's some of that stuff. I remember I did do a Full. It's 57 83 cringes is dead. No cringe. I did go back and like before we got to 180 something like when we got to around 100 I did go back and re see listen to the episodes and the things that I loved listening to is just what was happening at the time. Like during our kitchen ran out during the pandemic during the lockdown, like there's some crazy s*** happening that you almost forget until you listen back to just tang and I tried Deal with our kids schooling from home while we were still working from home, living in the basement crowd, like it was, it was not a fun time. It was a stressful time for us and, but we kept on doing the podcast, which I don't know if that was craziness, or we just needed that escape Matt's a bike fluid? It's a carpenter. Yeah, that's exactly it. Also, showed us how you guys were real people to, you know, you're just like us, you're not like magical beings and our phones or whatever. So, but I also wanted to say, while Trace was talking, I was thinking about how nice that this has become such a creative outlet for me. So in that way, you know I had been writing a lot that's great until recently. Yeah again so in that I really want to thank you guys for letting me share. You're saying we're letting you but are you kidding me every time I get a script from you guys? I am like oh my God. I feel It's guilty. I feel guilty. Like you guys are going to strike on me one day because I am not paying you anything. Yeah like um yes is called now fanwork. It is a labor pool. Yeah. But you know he said it and I have said in a pretty it is I put it up there my privilege like better because now I love it. Yeah thank you so much. I appreciate the best thing ever was you know I write to limericks and how those you want to keep writing them. I am going to stop you. That's how it goes. Again, it's out of necessity at a laziness Aaron. I had such a great time. Thank you so much for letting us do this. It was really, really letting you again. There's ever well, I am not letting anybody you guys and wanted to do it. I am like, yes, please do. We're invading your Airwaves. So I would nothing else planned for this week so you're doing me a favor, right? So we're taking over, yeah. But just to just a small personal. Thank you just for how what your show has done for my life, as well, as you know, it's made connections, I have made friends, I have had life-changing experiences, I have grown, I have discovered, I liked discovered, strength and acceptance. Like, all that has come from the community that you created all of you guys and, you know, listening back to this episode. After meeting, you guys and having those experiences together, was just such a special thing to do. So, keep doing what you're doing and thank you. Thank you, Aaron, Casey. I don't know what everybody is said. This is the funnest sandbox I have ever been in. I too, it's no secret like the day you said, oh, you can have the soundboard was like a bell. Went off in my head, so I to thank you for bringing the production bug back to life in a way. I mean I have been producing videos but hadn't done like on are stuff in years and So having that sound board was like, I got back in touch with a part of myself that was super young and it was fun. So and that's nice to land into post pandemic. Because those, you're right, those years were hard and there's some f***** up s*** happening during that time. And for you all to sort of hang on to something. And I, you know, when did Letterkenny start, when are hitting problems, 2015, 2016. And what season In what season were they putting out during the pandemic? I think that was night like hates or nine Sound Yeahs, no. So, hold on. When we, when we started recording eight seasons were available and the ninth was coming. So yeah, yeah. But it just, it's astounding to me. That's so many of us are so committed to growing into growth and I think that's our common thread and I think that's what connected us really strongly back to the people in Sudbury. When we went the first time, the authenticity that came through that everybody mentions. Like this space was safe during a time when nothing felt secure safe. And that's a really big deal to create in the world at a time when all that s*** was going down and then to be able to continue it and translate it in. IRL is also pretty dope. It's like, stepping through the television, like, we used to want to in the 80s, you know? So, thank you guys, for making that happen in the modern era in the 21st century. Yeah, love you guys. I love you too. Awesome. Yeah, I honestly don't even know what to say because like, It's nice. Taking a trip down memory lane right its light and it's nice to see how far we have come and in what direction B. Like it's not like you know we started at Point a, and we like instantaneously transported to point B or whatever. There were, there was a whole journey and there were choices made along the way. Deliberate choices that got us from there too here. So I think Just looking at episode 0, is it is the start, but there are key points. That we should also go back and look at like you were saying earlier specific episodes like fart book, like sleepover like Valentine's Day, whatever that we should go back and listen to I think that's a good idea and I would be down to do that and as always, I am just I am so grateful for the community, you know, a great family that we have grown into by the way. This is episode 190 that we're recording right now. So wow, we are 10 a way to get on planning. A bash for two hundo. Yeah I have no idea. Be patient to be. But anyway we will talk with that. Thank you guys for doing this. This is a lot of fun. Thank you, Al and yeah like listening back yeah it was fun too. Here at home, how naive we were, but also how much of a clue? We didn't have that. Like I said, I had a lot of vision and plans but you know the that's one like anyone who starts a podcast thinks it's going to be the next Mark, Marin right? But very few last beyond, you know, the first dozen episodes. So the fact that we're going on almost episode 200 year 3 and it feels like they're still growing to be done. That's amazing. So and you hold to you guys to the listeners and to my co-hosts who didn't want to come. Come out tonight. Yeah well I missed them tonight. Happy f****** anniversary Victor. Yeah f****** mad about her first step about episode zero and like fart book and also you know we can do since next week. We have something special planned so maybe not. Maybe you guys will have a chance to talk to us. Then I mean there's all that the cat out of the bag next week it's going to our episode is going to be on Thursday or Friday instead of Thursday, and we're recording from Matt's deck in person. The four of us did that big deck and yeah, we're gonna get the Big Deck energy and energy ginormous dick. And so it will be the four of us. We were hoping Being I hadn't said anything. As we were hoping for some special guests, unfortunately, it's midgets Midsummer and people are not available. So it's going to be the four of us. But I think and what we were talking about doing is having you guys on Livestream and you know, that bring us with questions or whatever. So we can do that. Nice. Or we can bring you onto the zoom. I am not sure exactly. Yet, you know me with planning it will be a last minute thing, but we're going to have some hurt yourself. We're gonna have some fun next Friday night. So those of you who are listening and Expecting something next Thursday? There will be an interview you next Thursday, you will hear Miller Brad Miller, but Bradley Miller's interview that we just recorded today. Our patrons will hear it tonight when I post it attaboy, but everyone else will hear next Thursday. So you will get a TPS episode next Thursday. But next Friday, we will record one from Matt's Big Deck. So looking forward to that and you guys will have a chance to say whatever you want to say to Victor Tang you Matt and myself get it right now. Yeah, one last question. When did it get bigger than you? Thought it would ever get. I think the moment just when we started booking cast members and I think that was a step that I wasn't necessarily expecting and then yeah, when we got contacted, you know, by the product, like when we go out to go to Sudbury and it's where the this the sets that or yeah that was Unreal. And I mean, the new guys got to do with us a couple of months ago. That was like crazy, right? Like, yeah, right. Because, no, because there is a difference between like, you know, having a goal in thinking of it in the abstract, right? It's like a pipe dream, right? You want to get there, you take steps to get there, but it doesn't really become concrete until it does. And then all of a sudden, you're like, what the f*** am I doing? Yeah, during that episode zero, I was thinking okay if we can get a you know, a few thousand people listening. And if we can get a bit of a Unity going somewhere. That would be great if we can get enough listeners where we could actually maybe have a sponsor. That'd be great going to Sudbury and recording from their kitchen. Never it was never an option in — so badass locker room in the form the launching of the kitchen was epic though, right? Like yeah, that was never something I dreamt of, right? But as things started progressing, it became more and more possible. Possible. So, I mean, I think that's probably a lesson. We all learned like when we set a goal, but sometimes you can adjust that goal. Because if things are going better or two things are going in the right direction. Maybe, maybe there's more that can be achieved, right? So anyway, oh s***, what's that? I needed to hear that this week. Okay? Okay, John we're a cult. Remember? Yes, we're going. Anyway, I am gonna take us home with. Well, speaking of being a cult, let us listen to a little bit of Dilo. And this is feel blessed by darling. Met the shoddy up to Sherman. She was a little nervous, but my reputation, I am a bad influence. She never met a real G never seen the whole clear. That would always live, going, gang sign in this, b****. Yeah, I am from the east side of my n***** from the West everybody chilling. I am Gonna Give You Gonna arrest everybody dripping. Nobody wearing a vest, you're real cheer to blow it up. Show me where you from and that's all we have for this episode next week. Weak as I just mentioned, it's going to be on Friday night. We're going to be recording from Matt's Big Deck. So be ready for some Big Deck energy from Matt's house. That's don't forget to give our sponsor some love and use the promo code produce a pot or just produce and for 20% off, any purchase from diabolical copy.com.
