Live stream of tonight's podcast, is made possible by our buddy, Ian service over at podcast accelerator.com in Canada. May 24 has made its way by and there're kiwis and Aussies and yank. So my will drink to our health in the whole Commonwealth. Then blow some s*** up in the sky that fresh produce stand there. That's a beauty. What do you listen to my favorite murder podcast, Taggart Jordans pod, guess the produce stand f****** sexy, And that means we are once again and yet the produce stand a podcast, covering everything in the universe. I know what you think there are many other Letterkenny podcasts out there but this one is for the Commonwealth. I am your ally, your host and joining me in the room is always is a lovely Tanya. We have squirrely. Matt, Victor is in Paris or en route to Paris. Maybe so playing. The role of Victor tonight will be our buddy, trace, and joining us this week. He's a fellow 0. F 0 TM, he's a world traveler, he's into Health, Fitness the outdoors. Please join me in making some noise for a YYZ. Gourd Madras. Oh, my gourd. I regret nothing. Welcome to the produce stand gourd, thank you, but we're here. I got my first book, the gourd right there in the end. It rights. It works so well, yeah, absolutely. I mean you have been on before like an egg halls but this is your first solo episode. So, So we're going to ask you all of the typical questions, so we're going to start with, you know, when did you discover letter car for? Sorry first, where are you speaking to us from? I am in my home in Toronto and the Commonwealth of Canada in the Commonwealth of Canada, but I mean less than a week ago. You were in Japan. Yeah, I was in Japan. I got home on Tuesday night. That's great. Like, and we were talking during the pre-show how much traveling you do. You do a lot of traveling? I do yes, but it's a bit of an obsession. Yeah. And mostly for pleasure. I mean, you went to Japan for less than a week, like, that's a long way to go for less than a week. Are you still not recovering from jet lag? Right now, I actually did I did in Japan. I wasn't doing so well, like, woke up every day like 3 AM Its kind of eventually got back to sleep, but coming back and if you have traveled back from Asia, but you your last day because it's a 13-hour time difference, you end up with it a giant day. So, so I slept six hours on the plane and got home at by like 8:00 and by 9:00 I was able to sleep through the night. So and I got, I woke up at 4:00 so and last night I made it to 10:00 and separate through till 6:00. So yeah, I mean, mostly back so good. Good on you, like, that's great that you can do that and, and survive on that, but that's sleep schedule, but and great. I mean that Japan, Japan is one of those places. I have always Wanted to go. So it was that your first time of you have been there before and now I think it's about our seventh time when god. Wow, he's so 31st hands left cord. Yeah, really I have been to 102 different countries, so we have been to every state, every Province, every territory and I have been to every state in Australia except for Tasmania. So I What do you do? Enjoy the most about travel? It. What? What like, what's the desire? Why? Why? Generally like nature? And I also like big cities, like Tokyo is one of my favorite cities, I am so great. So like one ever my last time in Japan was January 2020 so it was one of our last four trips before the world shut down. So it was good to get back there. That must have been a tough two years, the last two years for you. It was a little different. Yeah. Yeah. Switch to more travel on Canada but still got out of it, but certainly for 2020, there wasn't a lot but I still was commuting back to Houston. So did a bit of travel finally your handle makes more sense to me. Yeah. Yyy-you're YYZ gourd, I get it. What doesn't make sense that he insists on being called YYZ Gordon? I Wise Edgard that didn't have any problem thing. It knows that the airport's YYZ. No. It's why was that board. It's also a More comfortable to say even though I don't know. It goes the other way. It's not more comfortable, it's more awkward. But that's gourds name and we respect that. That's how he wants to be referred to. So you'd make like the perfect travel agent because you really could, you know, identify with any place. A person would want to go. I have been to most places, I am gonna have to talk to do. Become gonna do a lot of Consulting as that and how to use your plant points is there, is there a place left on the planet that you have always wanted? Wanted to go. They haven't gone yet. I want to go to Antarctica, but that's really difficult. Yeah, interests, I am not great for seasickness and that Crossing can be brutal. So it's probably still there. But we will see. Egypt is a place I want to go and the political kind of touch through this ever gonna be really safe window but it's wow. Okay, what's your favorite place? Ironically, New Zealand is one of my favorites. Oh, okay. I am about oh, nice. Even tonight's episode. I will be right back. We're going back in November. So I will be here. Another highlight this year, for jobless, of course, Mike Spinelli's asking, have you ever been to lights and sign like enstein the consign? Isn't it really? He says it's on his bucket list. What's it? Look like, what's in Liechtenstein? I don't remember anything special. I did. I did get my hundred and two Ooh, I did like all them. The microstates are the microstates of Europe link Liechtenstein and door locks and Luxembourg and or a. Yes and don't know there's one in. What's the one in Italy? There's another one that's like end or San Marino. Yes that again city of course wow look at you guys. Okay. Seriously now this is 102 and however many years Just like how many trips a year? Is that? Like, what, how do you what's your course number home? He's there. I am well, put it in context, so I lived in Houston for seven years and my husband lived in Toronto. And we saw each other every weekend, so that meant one of us was traveling every weekend. Wow, I didn't always want to meet in Houston or Toronto, so we go to other places that make sense. So yeah, if you're always going to be traveling might as well, yeah, break it up. Awesome. I love. That's amazing. All right, so back to the census in the travel show. Yeah. So it's actually standard questions. When we finally met you finally, made the list of most interesting. Yeah. You know, you're in that time, I got it. I got to dig deeper though. Like, do you do photography, wouldn't go to all these places? Like what? Like my husband does and then I will take photos and put them on Facebook stuff. You shared a really cool picture of in front of Mount if he fuzhi right? Yeah, that look really cool. Yeah, we got to, we got it. We got it. See those pictures. I have been, I have been to I went to Sudbury as well. That was. Wow. Really dominated but I couldn't leave the country. We did in Northern Ontario and in those 20 28. So you know it's funny I laugh but up until the time we went to Sudbury the farthest north in this province. I would ever been probably Parry Sound. So yeah there's a lot of just in this province of the left to explore. So yeah for sure I Of to do a Google's Google map, to see how far Sudbury is to. I have been in, oh, my goodness, what was it called moosonee? Those hideous wafer need arthas. Is that further thought it weights? Or I was, I was very young so you North. So is it okay that I have been there? So you're right. I am an extreme right? I know there was a train. There was no Road, it was just trained. I know Victor would be jealous, speaking of trains, let us get back on the rails. Ice Letterkenny at this 24, not careful. And okay, I am not editing Letterkenny. When did you discover it? I don't know exactly pretty shortly after it premiered. So definitely saw season one before season two, so welcome sometime in 2016. So I had crave and kind of it was advertised Delta everywhere when it came out as the thing. So yeah. Checked it out and since I was in Houston, sort of the Canadian elements were more attractive. Managed to get my friend in Houston. Are you actually mad at all? Yes, I remember them. Yeah at the T ml x. Yeah right she bought me later Kenny shirt which is great and ARP. I mean I was gonna say I am Wendy discover our podcast. But right from the beginning, right? Because you're an ethyl GM, and I was a I was aware of it. Yeah it took me a while to actually listen. I will confess I did not dare you. I didn't start listening and I went back it was start when you started doing. Yes, it was season 10 so that would have been like the start of 2022. Okay. So I started from there and I have been caught by, I have seen heard everything since then. Okay. Be honest, I haven't gone back. I was I saw the person on the Discord. He said that they were perfect person who did listen to everyone for the beginning, and I am still guilty but probably number one Gore. Join the group. I will get got really excited. I know that guy, I know. Oh, that guy. Yeah, yeah, we well, we have hung out. We have had beers, we have broken bread together. So, it's always fun when I met you. I met you and I would have met you in July, 20, 21, and in that park, with the beers, I don't know. I think we probably met you before that. Like, that wasn't the first tml X, but that was my first email ago was, it was always because I was always traveling. So I was always in Houston or somewhere else. Well, in the team, Alex is where our so that would be the first time. Okay. We taught our time, but the Toronto, Michael. Their experiences but anyway, so what we will move on acronyms. Yeah, exactly. Too many acronyms. So let us get going here with the. How are you? Now let us line up is going to be outraced and Matt and our guests cord will have the last word. So my week I have had a very busy week, although less busy than usual because season 4 of yesteryear. Open is finished. Last episode went out on Tuesday. It's done. Yes, thank you again. Time to celebrate and I should Be, you know, should have a little more time but I haven't had any time yet because in yesterday I made my appearance on the Toronto make podcasts and excuse me, had a lot of fun with him, kicking out the jams and talking about the podcast. And today, I Was preparing for this episode and then I had band practice, and then I had to rush home and make sure 10. You did her homework and it's been a whirlwind of a day. So, here we are. I am happy, we're finally here and recording. Yeah. Trace. How about you're welcome, sir? Trains before we begin. Thank you for filling. I am for Victor because Victor's in Paris right now, Riley saw her route to Paris. Absolutely, but I have to comment a compliment you on your choice of background. It's the absolute perfect background. When you're filling in for Victor. It's a toy guitar. And with Thomas the Train on it. Absolutely brilliant. I love it. Well played, but even that description doesn't do it enough Justice. No, now will have to take a screenshot of that and post it because it's just oh we have to send And it affects yeah I don't think I will be very gentle wanted to make sure that you know the ever-present guitar was you know, present in the background. Well I wasn't going to put his guitar in the background so that. So that's a real thing. You can buy. Yes I believe, so I can attest I don't have one like we don't have one like that but our daughter has a pink one with. Oh, what are those Patrol know? I forget the name of though. The backyard again. That's it. Backyardigans. Backyardigans mine. Had mine had one. That was, had the Wiggles on it? Yes. Oh, and have the Wiggles one is why? Yes. Yeah, Wiggles is, but my weeks been, okay, having a bit of a dental crisis today, so yeah, but I am feeling okay, right now. So I have to get a root canal so but otherwise it's, you know, been a regular old week, There's a long weekend coming up, right? Good on. You all for having a long weekend this week. Yeah. And that is about it. Al called me and asked me if I wanted to fill in for Victor because I am not in Paris, and I am not on a train. Tell you how was your week? Longest the shortest week ever. So we. Yeah, we have had a busy week. Trying to get some things. Ready for summer? Getting schedules. Done! We got the barbecue, some of the barbecue this weekend. Yes. You did. He got sick? He was on painkillers. It was a very long weekend but I will have a nice week. Yeah. You got sick painkillers. The barbecue came back got assembled which was fantastic. A grilled like Immediately. As soon as it was hot, I was on it. And it was phenomenal. Just phenomenal. So we did that and then our daughter got sick and so it's just been hello. I want to cough, I hit, I hit mute and I needed you to. I forgot that you're on the same channel. Oh yeah, yeah, so our daughter got sick. And so I have been a very Deprived. So this can either if, if you, if I have stopped talking it's because I am asleep. I will just poke. Yeah, it's been a long week, and I am super tired, and I am super grateful that tomorrow is Friday and happy long weekend to our friends in the state's. Yes Man. My week has been interesting first, we have the long weekend, which was a blast. I had a unique experience action, the weekend, went to a brewery owed near Collingwood called still Fields. Think it's called, if you have never been to, you have never heard of this place, and there's real reasons why? Because it was amazing, like, don't get me wrong, I love this play, the beer was fantastic, the environment was super chill. I would go back thousand times over. I had such a good time but when I got there and I discovered something. I had not seen especially living in the city, you know, I ordered my beer, whatever it was only like five bucks, which is super cheap to start with, for a poor. I am like, okay, cool and actually, the one of the busily $4. So I was very surprised and it was like my second or third beer. And I, when I finally realized, I said to the guy, the hell, how can I, how do I tip you? Right? Because I realized at that point, he had asked for a tip, it's all debit or credit, and he's like, oh we don't do that here. Okay, we are like, really like I am coming from Toronto, that doesn't compute do not tip, right? And he was one of the owners. And he said, nah, man. He's like, and, you know, myself and the other owners, you know, we launched this place. We just want to have a cool spot for people to have a good time. Keeps money in your pocket, have another drink, enjoy yourself. It was like almost literally verbatim his response. I was like, holy s***. I have never heard that before. Yeah. I am like I am trying to get, I am trying to give you more money and you're saying no just Have fun. Did he say, and they pay living wages to the people? Or I don't know if it was in the middle of this place is like in the middle of nowhere and then even like. So I said the conversation went a bit further and I said well whereas the designs on some of their beers and where do you come up with your designs? He's like, I have a designer friend. I said, give me the complete opposite of anything you will ever find in the liquor store or the beer stories. Like I didn't want a crazy unicorn. Fighting a bulldog on my beers is like I wanted something super, but the beer. Speak for itself, and he's like, and then he said, do you even look at the names of our beers? We don't have names, if it's a lager, I call it a logger. If it's a Pilsner I called a Pilsner he's like I don't want to keep coming up with new stupid ass names to call my beer. I just you come we have a, we have you enjoy yourself, save a few bucks and I hope you come again. Well it was um I was under a way super genuine about it to I am like this is just a very bizarre experience. So anyways that was really cool. Week was busy. Busy, busy. Busy. And then today. So today, my little guy was, his sort of open house for his new school. The one that we were fighting to get into, I think I told a bit about that story. I don't know if I hold told it on the podcast. But anyways, we were fighting with school board to get him into a specific school. Well, who do I run into Mr. Alex macdui. Hey, finally, holy moly ran into dick skin. Wow, I am standing there, and he walks by in a gang. I think I was f****** tall. Yeah, f*** yeah. Wasn't that tall? I probably wouldn't have put it together, but he walked by and then I look back, I looked back again, I said a gentleman that's Dickens, just like know what's Dynamic. That's f****** Dickens right there. So Google say hi. I am like, I should totally do that. You should, as though did you guys? Yeah, yeah, I did. Can I just very quickly? I mean, he was just picking up his daughter. So my kid's gonna go to the same school as his daughter. Well, I did, he remember, did he remember you or did it took my medicine? Like, I just really I ambushed her. I said, hey like I am really sorry just wanted to do this myself but your Ox bakui, right? He's like, I am like I am Matt I am one of the co-hosts of the produce stand. We interviewed you like an about almost two years ago. I said, oh yeah. Yeah I remember you guys. So he did remember but it's like a moment to put together, and he's like, I am just picking up my daughter. Here's your kid. Go here. I am like he's about, he's going to. He's like a very cool, and we had just a really, really quick chat. I said, listen, I know you're with your daughter. I don't want to bother you, but I just want to say hello. He's like, well, I am sure I will see you again here. I am like yeah. Amazingly as Austin. So we're set up a playdate for the Big Deck energy dates, right? We got to do the very bottom to the to Matt's Big Deck. Amazing. That's no, I did not really dick skin in the schoolyard know, literally listen to that episode on my flight to Tokyo. Oh yeah. That's the replay. Yeah, well I had listened to before you remember, I am way behind. That's right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It is a good one. It is very good when he was, Yeah, he's so great feel like so short. Oh, I mean Apparently after the last Sudbury trip, I am feeling short. So this one? Yeah, he I was like, someone made a comment. Did your neck heard they dude is f****** tall. But yeah, it just it caught me completely off guard. I knew he lived nearby, and we talked about that, but I up until this time, it's been sort of ongoing joke that one day I might run into him. And sure enough there he was in the school yard, and yet I have her moment. I almost yelled dick skin. I am like there's little III. Rolls and four year olds running around me not. Okay. Matt sure. Yeah I am sure he was very happy that you didn't do. Yes. Yeah. I walked over I said there's Dickens, he laughed but I know. Well done. I can't believe you kept that a secret up until now. When did this happens? Was it? There was no hizo. He alluded to it in the Discord. Oh dude, it's a good thing. It was actually funny. You say that as soon as it happened, Jen saw me pick up my phone about 30 seconds. Later. She's like put it the f*** away, what? She's like, no you're not telling Al and all your other friends online that you just saw him. The, you're on family time. You put the phone away. I am like, okay, good friend, Jen. Yes, you can see Jenna boo, I tried to say, I am not doing it, she's like f*** you are, but you didn't get a selfie. Imagine his arms. Not long enough to get a selfie with. Dickens, it will just be me and a tall person behind me, but you won't actually see their face. That's amazing. Ever been any 7 foot, dude? Before we do the Diabolical coffee add, I am gonna do something really quick here that I should have done right at the beginning, but you're going to hear this recording in progress of the reason I am doing that gonna edit that out, I am not gonna edit that out. I am just going to leave it in i-i am just gun-shy now after our Sudbury mishap. I usually have zoom recording along with my other sound recorder just as redundancy. I forgot to hit record on. So now I have hit record on Zoom. I am still recording with my other recorder but again, I am gun-shy. So anyway, we're good to go and let us listen to Cassini has tired. Did you do your homework Thrice? I did my homework so let us get started. Well, don't bore us get to the chorus. No cold open. In this one, we just launch right into the scene. We open with the Hicks, toasting the Had a long weekend with shots of Gus Andrew. We get the obligatory squirrelly dance. Pollination of the meaning of this holiday Victoria's days. Long's weekend's is a Canada, wide statuaries holidays in maze where we celebrate? The former's queens of England's, Queens Victorious. Just then. Now, what girl? Walks up with Shaunie of Johnny Shawnee and jaykar. One of the three American cousins from episode 1, season, nine, American buck and doe. Shawnee had to remind the Hicks who he was, but Gaylord, didn't forget? She invited shining up for their May 24 week party even though the two weekends are a week apart Shawnee, Wishes the Canadians happy u.s. Memorial Day long weekend, formerly known as decoration day. He goes on to Sean. Splain that American holidays meaning? Well, days of federal holiday to honor those who died while serving the United States armed forces are here, as they toast Memorial Day. The mcmurray's joined the group Mrs. MacMurray dazzles the group with her knowledge of the history of Queen Victoria and her progressing drunkenness. Queen Victoria's reign is matriarch of the British Empire last from 1837 to 1901 One. That's right. Two completely different centuries. That's right. Baby strains are two of them. C**********, that's impressive history. Masma study, anything loves getting day drunk buddy and pretty much every day of the week though and when she arranged it boards, Queen, Victoria, nine kids. Hmm not rock. I know those nine children. They produce 42 Grand children. That's a lot of f****** she survived it, doesn't it Tessa Nation? Some 8 by the same do but by wanna do, wow, English German French, Italian, Latin and occasionally deviled in Hindi, stilled in here. Imagine the cost of the time so you can say to her servants. Hey, what the f*** is that, dude? Trying to kill me again. Stab him she proposed to her husband, Prince. Albert, our own f****** self. Now, Prince Albert was her first cousin, which is noteworthy, but I am sure it's here to see, you know, of those nine children for two grandchildren. Not a one of them was negatively affected. Well, the 75 here their grandmother of your husband's house McMurray ass, Johnny, why he's there he tells a gale invited him and asked if it's okay. That a couple of his underage American cousins, came out to enjoy some long weekend beverages with them in the luxury of are far more liberal drinking age. This annoys screw lead, and he says, it's the worst part of Victoria's days, under age Americans, with their little league, f****** bantamweight weight drinking habits. Shawnee, says it might be the worst part of Victoria Day, but it's the best part of Memorial Day. This reminds them of Marie's is something of this reminds them of Murray's or something. Speaking of first cousins, they have got news but so do Wayne and Katie after Back and forth thing. We agree on the mcmurray's going first with their news has. So let us make 24 is a very special occasion because my cousin's a million and her husband. Liam are coming for a visit for the very first time, all the way from New Zealand is that right? Well, that's he's up our news for use. I am on the edge of my seat. Aw for the very first time ever. Our cousin to Oliver and his lady. Piper coming all the way up from Australia, coming all the way down from stir. I rikey right from yeah. Anna. And I were they swim in the angry blue. Hey throw another shrimp on the barbie heaps of shrimp, made heaps of shrimp become prawns. They're actually, let us get Meg at all. Right, let us get Blotto. Get trollee. All right, let us get just f****** cont'd. My tits. I am pissed is a nude, I reckon. Yeah. Now, let us crack on. I did lie. Dying, due haste. And we get the gears for toxins funnies. What's the houses days, even science? Mrs. MacMurray is looking forward to introducing her cousins to her cousins cuz their neighboring countries. McMurray is used as sure they will get along like house, fire caterer mines McMurray that they may not want to bring up fire. They will likely still be a wee bit rattled from the big one. I McMurray says they are, they will get on like gangbusters, Sean, Lee, Shawnee replies, sure just like Canadians and Americans will bring them all by will share the wealth for the common. Good for the Commonwealth here. Here seem to rolled and Stuart are joined by Riley Turns out in the field, what looks like a platform Riley as the skids? What they have Seward is being cagey. He asked the jocks, what they have? They go back and forth arguing over, who should go first? And then finally Riley goes, first this year's May 24 weekend fireworks celebration, we have got Jonesy sprinklers volcanoes sparklies for the kids and the dagger, Roman candles, boys. The skids aren't impressed that the jocks stash of Our fireworks. They are three classes of fireworks in Canada, and the jocks are class. 1 Jonesy. They greet each other, but screw it in. What are you guys up to this other thing? We're looking at it fail of f***, me. Nice to be out of reason for a few nights. Ladies lollies, I told her all about you lovable call kids. So, how was the trip? Yeah, Anna took us walk in 36 hours to get here mate, but we got on the Piston had a root mile-high club and a day we had a route. When we landed to, I can, I get smashing entire Jewel? Oh yeah, went looking for a fader Macos. Smash them take away, but he's don't have one. So we hit the servo, see if we could find a takeaway Sanger or something. But what was in there? Wasn't Tucker. No. Taco at all mate, what the hell do they say in? So we ended up finding a snag down from Mennonites line. Some leftover tim tams from the plan for dessert and wasn't macca's, but I won't get me too. Has helped me more about it. Hey, let us get pissed. Oh, my nephew. Cody's, I need a nap. Let me put on a proper pair of decks. I am in my truck and Ericsson phones here. He's got his budgie Smugglers on underneath that, she will never leave home without him. Good nuff will help you with your stuff. Hey, thanks for the hospitality night. Well, we're here to share the wealth for the common, good for the Commonwealth, and it pauses for a second here, because, and I noticed that Melbourne, Jack is on the livestream. He's probably at work, but I am glad he's here. I mean, I can kind of make out some of what's being said, but I have a couple of questions, and I am Gord May because you travel so much, you will know a few of these, but shoot, Any idea cute wasn't that it's not a specific beer, is it? Okay. And Tucker guy may be wrong and Tucker, doctors food Tucker's food. Okay. Yeah, that sucker was tired. Didn't they say they were tuckered? I don't think they used in that because I would have understood that, I think these in a different way. But anyway, we're going to need, we may need to do like a, I did find it early and I lost it on the Discord. Somebody on the Letterkenny Discord. Somebody did a line-by-line translation O So of it. Okay. Waffle is yel have to look at that because man, that just went. I don't know about you but it went over my head. Yeah, most parents and with subtitles on I was still like, what the f*** is being said? I was wondering if it was, if it was real. I think so. I mean, will last, Tucker is food or tuckered is Sleepy? Okay, yeah. Tucker. Do we get but Tucker is food? Okay so good to know that there was one of the things they were talking. One of the words they re using the slang for McDonald's. Yeah. They were looking for was McDonald's. I didn't fight like that. There was no McDonalds. They're unbelievable. Anyway. We're done we leave off the scale of the scene for the skids question Glenna but is a tire Glenn says he got it off fireworks School. Of course, one of the tens of thousands of them. Any, any other silly questions, Glenn is crestfallen by the skids box of debit 'age but it he Stands that he's not wearing your grandma. Grandma was fire retardant suits. So he goes on to shed a little light, on his queer backstory, which gets rolled a little excited. One thing I do think he's know about me, is my parents, we're traveling missionaries. My earliest memory is from their first mission, seven years old down in health, for certain Kentucky, by way of Satan's kingdom. Massachusetts, I won the local State, Fair, colouring competition by employing a simple self-taught technique accentuate. The existing lines With a thick color pencil creating almost a frame and shading lightly inside those lines. Using the same pencil. The judges have never seen anything like it, they wanted me to go to Art School, right? Then. And there at seven years old, they wanted me to but I said what does the Lord? They had no answer. Next up blue bomb Delaware. By way of bone Gap. Illinois are these real places guard? Did you watch his Messiah? I looked them all up. Most of them called are all mostly boys. San Diego, San Diego by way of Big Beaver, Pennsylvania, some much younger children. Those similar to me in size, peer pressured me into blowing up Blue, Angel into a pile of sawdust. The back of my high school shop class. I had just eaten, a Mexican style chicken tacos lunchable. So I agreed Well flame was lit and all the children ran away but not glad no like a true flamer. They would you do. Well, the truth is, I could not run those much. Much younger children have, tied. My shoelaces together, I was helpless. So then what happened? Then buddy, I strip the protective cover off my lathe and used it to smother the Flames passed out from smoke, inhalation shortly thereafter and when I awoke there was a man standing over me, and he said to me, he said what? Well, I think you were born to play with far. God, Heavens. No, you're aiming. My high school shop, teacher. That was it for me. I signed up for fireworks. Cool. Very next day. Okay. Lots of help on the live stream here, Macos that's McDonald's. Yes. So that is that gets mentioned. I think they will buy the new zealanders not by the Australians. Now that was a stir. That was Australia, was it? Okay. Mac it was McDonald's. Okay, so awesome. Today. Read. It was I was saying was a rabbit. I was saying I was confused, but Melbourne Jackson says that the two actors playing. The Australians on Letterkenny are actual Australians, Georgia, Cadence from Byron Bay, New South Wales, I guess. And Morgan David Jones is from Brisbane. So lots of great help here guys. Thank you. Keep it going and Bone Gap. Illinois is in fact, a place with a population of 101. So there you go. I had to look up Blue Angel and Buddy. Know what that was? Oh yeah blue yeah. Oh yeah. Okay. And you know, little blue angels. Yeah. We just always calls lighting farts. Yeah. Same thing. It's Tyro. Flatulence official version or something like that. Where they first saw that movie? I was not methane enough. It's good. Okay, here we go. Stewart. Ask Glenn what he thinks they should do? Glenn says, they should amalgamate the debit 'age into Thing, interesting, I would stand a safe. 8 meters back, excuse me, stand a safe. 8, meters back. That's brilliant. All right, seen five back at The Farmhouse. The second visiting part of party of the cousins arrived there. Amelia, and Liam, mcmurray's New Zealand cousins. They to speak an interesting version of the queen's English. I will drop by the end of it, he's the best part, Primo, weather here. That's we must have been That will be back in time for a ticket with a how we start chili, been at the end of the Mennonites drive and peeked inside. Back at the farm, has already said that part. Let us see. Seen six on the back porch of The Farmhouse, Wayne squirrely down Oliver and Piper hanging out all around, Piper complimenting. Wayne on the farm, I think then Oliver asks, for some gue, ask for some goon and Piper ask for some stubbies. Yes. So goon, I am guessing is another kind of beer, maybe it's a cheap. Is cheap wine? Oh Walks Like, okay. I know what I thought bees. I am cigarettes. Right? Me or other here. Dear. Another beer. I don't know. Anyway further. Yeah, further perplexing squalid. And as to what they're saying, then Gail and Shaunie show up, seems like Gail and Oliver know each other really well as they call each other, c**** and hug. Oliver introduces, Gail to Piper and Gail introduces all over to Johnny Shawnee. Corrects her, but she doesn't seem to care. Gail immediately starts hitting on Piper, and Piper seems to be game as she returns of flirtations? Then from around the corner arrived, the mcmurray's with their New Zealand cousins somehow, without saying a word to each other, Aziz sniff out the kiwis and vice versa and immediately they start at each other case. Haggis, is this John guy, Mike, who's this Muppet you Daft c***? Oh, you don't know how these to find that sheep? Infield? Don't I Pleasant how this District focused out of jail for it, bro. Be sure, he knows what he's doing. Glenn assures them that he does. So they decide to test his knowledge. What is the earliest use of fireworks? 200 BC, the Chinese use them to scare off Mountain, different chemical concoctions, produce different colors of fireworks. What makes red strontium, and lithium white, titanium, and magnesium, Blue Copper next resourceful. Those Chinese Italians were the first introduce color into fireworks to her. You can't pull the wool over this Old Goat sighs. Um, Can fireworks be recycled? No, they're really bad for the environment, but good news is Power. Techs are working on friendly or recipes. How big is the largest firework ever launched about the size of Stewart's mom's Honda launched in Colorado and 2020? It's not your car Stewart. There's a little sad that Victor wasn't here to talk about the different elements that they use in fireworks, but I am sure we will hear from him. He comes back scene, 8, back at The Farmhouse Gail, tries to break the tension with some music puns, it doesn't work. So, do you just want to drink in excess? I am not one to speak ill of the dead, but that's an overrated band bar. Oh, yeah. And who's better? Crowded, f****** house. Maybe then your AC/DC cock rocket. Can't a Cudahy. AA pure Saints mate. We figured if the joke was to be made you should be the one to make it national tragedy doll that and Zach Spirit, let us take the piss out of some Yanks. Production on and Zack stands for Australian and New Zealand. Army Corps. So, Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance commemorating all Australians and new zealanders who served and died in all wars conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. It's observed every year on April 25th, so I guess it's their version of our Remembrance Day, you know, it nothing brings two warring factions (together) than the common hatred of the u.s. Right C9, Q the musical Montage of the America, get a musical Montage. Are the Aussies and Kiwis drinking, and feeding the Americans more and more drinks? Seen 10, jump cut tonight time. The two American girls are passed out in the back of Wayne's. Pick up the Aussies and Kiwis are hanging out enjoying the fruits of their cooperation. The Hicks are sitting around drinking and taking account of the day's happenings feels like, I spent an entire day down straya, crikey, right from down and where they swim in the angry blue, throw another shrimp on the barbie. Heaps of shrimp made heaps of shrimp. They call them prongs. They're deleting dying to know who each other. Like that might be a bad idea to crack open a book The on time Marie so where they're coming out of their mouths as I know no one dance I did Digis, I am just kidding around. I have got all hangs out with each other when they get back home in from neighboring, countries and whatnots Australians a continent crazier. Things have happened. They're leading dying. Do the jocks and skids join the party Riley and Forms everyone? That Glenn is a pyro Tecla Titian. This kid seemed stoned out of their minds and then Glenn runs up wearing his fire suit. He removes his helmet and forms everyone. That the barge is hot and the show begins whenever he presses the little red button on his remote control, everyone's Springs to their feet and runs over to watch the fireworks show. Where'd you learn how to do all this stuff done? Fireworks. Cool. Alright, now, let us share the wealth for the common. Good for the Commonwealth's here, and we Fade to Black. Here you go. That is the May 24 special letter. Get a special and I guess I begin with initial thoughts. So, I hear that Trevor risk wrote this one, and it only makes sense. Because everything about it has screams Trevor from the music puns to the differences in culture. I mean the man probably I don't know if he travels as much as gourd does, but he gets around as well. So he's probably the perfect guy to write this one. I loved the comparison of the between, you know, New Zealand and Australia relations compared to Canada US relations because Is basically a small country, very close to a very large, a much, much bigger and richer country. And so, there's a lot there. The only thing I wonder in that ask Jack this up here, the Rivalry seems to go one way. Right? Because it's, you know, it's us. We like hating on the u.s. Quite a bit but I don't think the u.s. Gives much thought to Canada, right? So I am wondering if it's the same between Australia New Zealand or if It's, you know if they're a little bit closer in that regard, overall is an okay episode. I found that it was, I mean the second and third viewings it got better because I was paying more attention to what was being said. The first time I was just shaking my head going, what the hell is going on? What the hell is everyone saying? What's like the fact that there was no cold open? You can tell this is kind of Not an afterthought episode, but it was just, you know, I don't know. There's a light on story, it was just kind of one big. Well, the 22, good stories. I guess we will between the fireworks and the, the Australian kiwi relations. Overall, it was just an okay episode is, you know, as far as I was concerned Trace, would you think I like the I think, I think you hit the nail on the head that this was the center of a risk written all over it. Yeah. And I mean, it was you know, he takes big swings, and he can hit it out of the park, and he can you can sometimes with, but I liked this episode mostly because the more I thought about it, the more I was thinking What exactly are you going to do for a Victoria Day episode? Yeah, I mean, I mean there's not a lot of Christmases, there're gifts, you know, Valentine's there's dating and stuff Victoria Day. I mean, they hit the fireworks and the drinking. So, yeah, I mean, the only have the same time. We should do a lot on me to for was camping, right? He did a lot of that. But yeah, raising your ass off because it wasn't warm enough to Camp yet. Yes, the coldest night we ever spent the tent is like minus 2 degrees Celsius is freezing, but yeah, I mean, I think it was an attempt to make some You know, comparisons about neighbors and all current former members of the Commonwealth and the decided lack of any actual British representation, which I kind of like to which, you know, they ran out of cousins. How many could they have? Yeah, right. But I mean, I don't see the British ever. Actually, we're going to be showing up to that even though it's, you know, their Queen. I mean, y'all clean, whatever I am American. Is that it? Yeah, I mean. My whole thing on coming on. This one is, I am literally, no, the least amount of that. Any of this stuff? Been Never Australia. I have never been to New Zealand, right? And I don't, I Victoria Day was on the calendar because our calendars have Canada, Canada's holidays as well, okay? And I kept meaning to figure out what that meant? Well, I, you know, I know Tim, would you think May too far? Bring the beer case a 24 /, But it was, it was a fun episode to watch it. Brought back some really happy memories, I think it was just a memory jerker for me, you know, the fireworks being at her friend's place and the chief of the fire department was fun, we had the chief of the fire department. We were at his house and one of the fireworks fell over and started attacking the Roman Candle tipped over and started firing into the crowd. It was hilarious, everyone just Like, yeah, we grab the children and Duck and Cover. And it was, it was dangerous as hell. But looking back on it, funny as hell. Now, so everybody was safe and everybody was fine. Those were only consumer that's her only considered. And, and yeah, it is to me, this, this was just like a memory, it just unlocked a bunch of memories of experiences that we have had from a long weekend and other than the, the camping. And the pyrotechnics at like their dead on. Like I have we have been to the States before and Myrtle Beach. Wow. The of your fireworks you have fireworks because it's Wednesday like it was Wednesday and it was like the they had better fireworks than Disney do. I dare say than Disney World? It was just like what is happening right now. This is a Wednesday. It's just, it's just like a Wednesday that was it and it was. Yeah, it was amazing. So that was one of the parts, you know, the banter Glenn, you knew it was Glenn in the suit coming up it just had to be Glenn what I wanted to definitely go to Australia and New Zealand after watching this episode it's always been on my list. I definitely wanted to know if it was real conversations or if it was I kept on thinking about Newfoundland and how the language, you know, the people talking and stuff like that. It was like, okay, is it? Is it are you? Or are you twisting the English language? Are you putting it on, or is it real? And it was real there. It was like, yeah, this must be real, those are all real slang. But to have a staff, have a conversation with somebody. It would be like you have a conversation for every second word was Swiss leg. Don't talk like that. Thanks. Yeah, thanks a lot. Everyone of those things. We're correct. Slang. But in a sense, how often do you use slang and kid? I mean, we have spoken to Jack many, many times, and we understand him usually when you speak. So it's now in this case, they have just thrown every single word. You're a representative of your country? I mean continent. Yeah, it was a great episode of and as I said it brought back some great memories of our May 24 hours in a fun way. All right, Matt. Yeah, well I am surprised by your initial response here to be honest with you. I think Trace is absolutely on the right track with this one. The I thought this was a really, a really great episode. Actually, I will admit that my second pass through was much better as I caught a lot of additional jokes. But yeah, you know, the question that needs to be asked is what exactly, what Trey says, what do you do for me to for weekend? Victoria Day? Episode and they nailed it fireworks, booze and friends. That's it. Our family like that is the only recollection of what those things are. I guarantee most of Canada couldn't even tell you that it is Victoria Day. They probably just say it's May 24. Absolutely. Yeah. And it's the reason May 24 because of to for beer and that's where like that was the one explaining they didn't do in the episode. Yes. But everything else, but they didn't spare the 24 connection which I don't know if Americans would Get because I do most people. Don't I-24 is not something, the American would say. No, we are true. Yeah, you guys don't call the 24 beer. Do you like a 24-pack of here? No, they don't music all flat. Okay. Yeah, so we say a 24. So that's become the ongoing joke. The you associate May 24 weekend. We drink with your friends fireworks, and they, you know. What else is there, do nothing? They're trying desperately in this. Have to throw the truth behind it, a do, but no one's really paying attention, and it's all mix. A lot of Banter that you can understand. And to me the best joke was sitting in plain sight. Unless this was just my TV for some weird-ass reason. My favorite joke of this whole episode was the one that wasn't said, was what was written because you have the Aziz come in and the new zealanders, everyone's bantering back and forth. You're saying, I have no idea what they said. I have no idea, was it? But no one wants question, what Miss. McMurray was saying, but they were, you know, they had subtitles for her right in the bottom screen but well I guess we're just so Used to her drunk and dialogue. I didn't need to read them. I knew it. She was still saying, even though it was her most obscure version of her dialect, we have heard to date. And that was a fun joke. Yeah. Well, even with the subtitles turned off when Mrs. MacMurray said a few of those they were still there, they were still there because, yeah, she was getting progressively more slurred. Yeah, so that is to me, one of the best like, silent jokes in the entire episode was just subtitling heard forcing that into it, so that, yeah, absolutely. Really killed it for me, the firework debate, another one that is anywhere. You go, you talk to people is having fireworks. That's, and I am sure this happens everywhere. There's fire. So, which ones do you have? Oh, and to me, it was like, oh, my dad's got the better 10. You should see my neighbor, he gets the best ones, right? It's that constant. Bickering of whose got the best fireworks display? I don't know. I think the way they did this was really smart. It took me back. I didn't actually understand the Commonwealth think of a more And after I watched it again, I am like, okay, I get what they're doing here, but, no, I thought this was brilliant. And then there was some other subtle jokes, along the way, that just the physical humor. In this one, killed me and Andrew her. When he's picking up those fireworks as their listing them off, he's bouncing at it in and out of the screen. Like I was doing that the main tricks, like ringing. But I guess what I was, I was like in tears watching him do that. And I am wondering how he takes it took, if you like how it was, if you didn't want the one I get, I am pretty quick at the speed at which he was going up and down like that. Yeah, there's a bunch of little things. But yeah, no, I think this one needs more credit than we're giving it to the gate because I think it's really clever and then you have read about risky. It's well, extremely well written. A lot of great. I don't recognize every reference but a lot of thought went into putting this one together good. Um, I think you have covered a lot of the things. One of the things I don't think I have been mentioned, just that really good coverage. In terms of the characters. So everybody was represented in had a part Mrs. MacMurray was amazing and her drunken speech and mad hit on it, but the selective subtitles it's funny like the least audible thing she said was at the very end with a boner all under 5 foot tall or something. And I only got that one. I turned on the real subtitles because they didn't subtitle that one. I don't know how they chose and it was cool that crave was smart enough. Not to double subtitle. So yeah, notice that. Yeah. However, they configured it, it didn't, I would expect it wouldn't be smart enough, but it knew not to double subtitle because I definitely needed to subtitle to get everything. She was saying, as I went back a few times, like, okay, that I totally missed that bend and then I am mcmurray's introduction. That's a lot of f****** like it was good. It was the fact that they had the facts and that they were going back and forth it just It made no sense. But it was well, it was hilarious in the presentation Gail's lusting after Shawnee and the whole subtext there up all over with their feet. Great performance there, Katie and Daryl doing the Australian accent. This is not. They were having a lot of fun and it they were doing a decent job. I don't know for an Australian would agree. But I thought if even is it was a bad parity I thought it was well done. The fireworks were where the Highlight the whole Riley and Jonesy back and forth with Stuart and rolled and the folk appleberry, and then we will combo blurry. And I found Glenn's monologue to be a little long. Just a little less. I was so good though. This the second tube cards were really good. The first part was a little long. Well, before that, it was the, when they got, they caught they call. Called they slagged Stewart enrolled Schlage, dryly Jonesy for their debit 'age, and then they got debit 'age thrown right back at them for Glenn in terms of the crap they had and just we'd heard Glenn story of his the history of his family in the missionary position. And so now we got all of the places they went is as missionaries and the bone Gap and the blue balls. And the Beaver, don't forget the beaver, big, big beaver, and So those are places so far all I found all of them, except for hooker San Diego, and I don't know, like, I don't know why San Diego would have a city within a city and maybe somebody maybe to Neighborhood by could not find any reference to it in San Diego, but it's very whatever else. I was able to find somewhere in there, but like most men are tiny towns, the, the Australia, you called it out, I just loved how they smelled each other, and they're not a single word was spoken. And they, they immediately recognized that the other was Has kiwi and the Australians, and we didn't see exactly where they just new right away, and I am like, okay that's funny, I guess, but it's a bit of it over the top and I mean they will hold back and forth. I mean it was almost and I think the point I mean it was very much like a cold open in terms of the density of just throwing every term. You can into a sentence and beeping over the top that way and I think it was a bit much but it worked I enjoyed the band TV show reference in the second one, with the kind of started out with the in excess carrying that on. Oh, that's not whole part. That holds suction was Trevor Burrus. Got his best for sure with all the band was. It truly madly deeply. It was a great Flight of the Conchords, and all of the New Zealand references, the just up in the whole characterization of the relationship, sort of the back. And forth. But the, the general jabbing at it, at Americans being the one thing, they can pull them together. And I did like how they pulled it off when I did finally drink them under the table, and they were in the pickup truck together with the, the Yanks passed out there was so annoying. Yeah, that I mean, the talk about over-the-top stereotypes. The, the, the American Drug kid. Girls work was, was a bit much. There was seriously, and literally so annoying. Yeah. You gotta go on record as an American that, that was the worst accident in the entire episode, American accent. And yeah, all the accidents. That was the worst one in the entire episode. And, but is it the worst is isn't the most annoying or is it worse? It's an order on people who talk like that in the u.s. You can't is over-the-top but you did. Well I mean it's just it is the accent but the Cadence is wrong for the accent. What do you think is shani's accent though? Oh, it's fine. It's fine. I mean, it's cool. Just the girls mainly, but I love that. He doesn't own a shirt. That's not an American flag. That's, that's, that's pretty American, but it's the end of the last moment. I think anybody copy Glenn on resting his head on Wayne's shoulder for the fire has, but I thought that was pretty heated. He did not push him away in no, but he had does he look? He didn't give him a look. Yeah, besides look, that was good. Just too few and just a few pauses. I squirrely Dan. I don't think he didn't seem to be used. He all he seemed to say was, I don't understand what they're saying, and he was like, there was a point where all of our Piper were next to them, and they didn't introduce him at all. He just stood on the side and listened. And at the very end said, I don't know what you said. It's kind of like why are, why are you there? And there was the exposition that they felt they needed to do was a bit much, so like we Had to get a full definition of Victoria Day for the Americans. We had to get a full definition of Memorial Day for the non-americans and yeah, but I mean if you look back at all, yeah, if you look back at all their holiday specials, they do that. They do that, they do that for all. Maybe. Maybe I was just being listening or looking certainly, the exposition around Shawnee, which that was at least funny in terms of the know. I am Shawnee and Johnny, Shawnee and jaykar and Maddie Patty and Blaker and though the whole context for that so that was Ill. He's fine but it began, it was repetition. All in all, I think there were some positive things in a few things that could have been done better. Okay, what we're going to move on to reading and it's been a long time since we have given an episode of rating and I start with the rating. So yeah. So I mean again, the first time we watch this, or I watched it but I guess week as we watch it during the after party, we waited for the, the clock to turn and everyone was still around, and we all watched it together. Such a pan and you were in Japan. So I don't know that wonderful affected my viewing of it. Because if anything is their will, if it was really funny and everyone was laughing, would it would have made it more enjoyable but I got to say that first. What viewing again, it was just like what's going on here. It's it was a little confusing that I mean, I think we even stopped halfway through like five minutes and going. Is this the cold open? Is there a cold open? There was no figure out. Yeah, yeah, we could. You get is a cold open and that might have been distracting, and we shouldn't have expected one. But anyway, that's, you know, whatever cold open or not, break format it. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. But I am not so used to the last one. The last holiday special didn't have a cold open, which one was it was that? Oh, that was an international women's day, but that much stronger start. Yeah. But so it would be right, like it started off, and they had to do the obligatory, okay, this is what Victoria Day is and this is what Memorial Day is. So there's a lot of that. That wasn't a fan of Shawnee being there. I mean, I don't know. Okay, so I liked the musical puns. I liked the fireworks storyline I didn't mind the kiwis in Asia is going at each other especially when they stop going at each other when they were both be able to focus their sights on the Americans. So that was funny and amusing but I can't give this one a fresh I got. So it's getting a clearance for Me Trace Well. It's not going to clean it for me and since you met me, your picture, I know. I know and as Victor's, duly appointed representative in his absence, I am going to say two things. First of all, sleepover gets a fresh, these amount of Records, please? Yes, yes. We're going to update all the record making the other record. I like it, Al to your point on Shawnee was he was a MacGuffin. I mean, he's there to put the plot along and, you know, address whatever they was, they wanted to address. And he was kind of there to point out the obvious, which was right kiwis and Nas. He's are like Canadians and Americans that was it right? Right. And it was a nice callback, and they already introduced, what? Four new characters and yeah. Hey, I remember that guy. So whatever I liked it, I loved the interplay, but that fast rapid Pace stuff is still funny and weird accents, you know, and not the back and forth and the chirping. And what I could that's basically all it was Turpin and that's what Letterkenny does best. They do it. It still sounds great in a weird accent but yeah, I liked it all. And if you look at it for what it is for Victoria Day, which You know, short of advancing, the plot more of the existing series. There's not much you can do with it. I mean, we're they got the drinking, they got the fireworks. They got the hanging out with everybody together, so I liked it, I am giving it a fresh. Okay. That's very unfit. You're like a view, but we will take it because, yeah. You have set the record straight for sleepovers. So I will yeah, I like this version of Victor. Yeah, we do to the accents and all. Yeah, 10. You don't put very Thomas, the Train very friendly. Yeah, again, I was having flashbacks as I said, you know, I was, I was thinking back to my conversation at Peddlers up in Sudbury with Casey her, and I am having a conversation then all of a sudden girls coming in she's like, holy hell are they even old enough to drink? And again the age, you know, in the states is 21 and here's 19. And, and they look like, they were 18 with fake IDs, because they were just so young looking. So, yeah. It was, it was funny to me, that, you know, people coming up from the states and the, the girls as valley girl, as they were saying that they were excited about drinking. It was just all about the alcohol and the alcohol. And how many times they said the word alcohol. But yeah, it's made to for its It's beer. It's, it's our that actually does track, right? Right, literally, I got hung up on and Gail and her relationship to her cousin or offering her cousin to go down under and his excitement to be a willing participant with her on that. Well, he's not hurt cousins. That's her cousin Johnny was hurt. Oh maybe. Yeah. Okay. So I thought that's kind of Taken It wasn't there also an episode of wild backward. Eel says she took down her cousins. He was 18 or something like that. Maybe it's maybe I shouldn't think. I don't think they were Gales cousins. That, that Shawnee was Gayle's cozened? Wasn't it know that they referenced that he was heading to just call each other cousins? But it doesn't. I thought it was. I mean, Johnny, oh, Johnny and jaykar work. Awesome. Is yelling already Shawnee. Indians not Tails, cousin. Shani is an Of jaykar and jaykar is Wayne's cuz it's kind of sad. Gosh sakes. I thought the Shawnee was get, I thought it was referenced at the beginning. That Shawnee was Gayle's cozened and that his he invited some us friends. He invited his other cousins. Okay. Well then there's just too much cousin talking to fellow. Don't know about it. Please let it be known. That our podcast is not the source of Truth. And there was but awesome is When it's all said and done, that's not out of character for Gail, right? No, it was, it was okay for Victoria. So, right. And now is a cousin thing. Yeah, right. They were first cousins. Yeah, you have fantastic. That came of that do nothing about it. Well, that was a great joke. Yeah, it was very good. There's a lot in this episode, there's a laundress and a lot. Maybe you should question yourself and I know Risk Road. So you're going to expect a lot of stuff in there. And again, it will be rewarded reputed repeated viewings as most Letterkenny episodes. Are I feel like you now that you're well and you have seen it and you're not sick? I think you need to just like, you asked me to re-watch the sleepover because I was like, what's going? I gotta tell you. I am a little surprised at how. Okay, what's the rating you're giving it? Well, again, it was, it had everybody, it had, you know, the mcmurray's in there, they it. Had it had Riley. Jonesy Stewart rolled Glenn. Good Lord. It had everything. And everyone and it was of course a fresh. I am it was, of course and all. I am surprised. Okay. It's May long weekend, not get in the field of a movie asleep. Matt, get in the festival. It's what's your rating? Yeah, I mean I will get to the punch line and then I will talk a bit but it's a fresh. It, is it? It's not a high fresh for me, but it's fresh. It was a fun episode. Did it? Make me laugh harder than others? Of course not. I thought it was clever, as there's a lot of good banter. I like the story lines, although it was simple and pure. And you call the trays. Well it's like it does. What they do best. It is, did it with an accent. So I don't want to take away from that. I don't know what to expect for these holiday episodes. I remember when I heard they were doing this, when I was like, yeah, then I am like, what's it going to be like? And this is, I could not ask for anything other than this. I don't know how you could tell and May 24 story in any other way than how they did it. So, success, from my eyes, Yeah, it's it was a fun one. There's just a lot of good stuff going along there. No, it's a fresh. Okay. Gord what do you give this one? I think, although there were faults in it, I think there were there was enough good, good writing comedy, and some good laugh-out-loud moments and some interesting things they hadn't done before, in terms of, like the subtitle humor, and some of the other more subtle things used to characters. So I can forgive them for some of the weaker points. And, as I said, it's a stretch to bring a whole episode out of A pretty slim topic. So I give it a fresh or does that also equal a special effects pyrotechnics category as well? Solicit the third, the third tier. Yeah, fresh. Okay, so I am the I am playing the role of Victor today units for me, you know, I mean I am just looking at this going evolved of all the holiday episodes to me. This is the weakest one of all the holiday episodes its name. An episode that you like that, you like this one over, like have you even considered is like gourd, you made some great points with Katie and Daryl and their Ozzy act like they pulled it out on that. They really did a great a good. Well, that's not that I am Ozzy or I gave it a current setting, give it a compost. Like there was lots of good in this. It just for me it wasn't fresh material. It was because to me personally the Of the holiday episodes. Kind of think of them all. Prove me wrong. Except people. Some people did not like the St. Patrick's Day, what I thought St. Patrick's Day was hilarious. So excited. Storytelling, I am haunting ammo. Dean's, Ultimo Dean's was great. I am happy again like that my personal here. Yeah, yeah, but the fodder you have to take from all the other holidays. Not to downplay your well, you know what? Ended holiday but and proxy victim. Weakest of the Holly might Be the weakest of the holidays. And therefore, the weakest of the holiday episodes because, yeah, you're right. There isn't a lot as much meat there as what's, what's 3wm three wise men? That's the Christmas one. At that was an awesome. Awesome says. That's the weakest, really like that. I love that one. Yeah, Valentine's Day, but it ain't the week. Possum is letting her jewishness show. I am sorry. Awesome, I don't think that's PC but no, probably not. But I am sorry, the three wise men, the weakest The soda. I don't think so. Okay, we need to go around the horn and say what holiday they need to do next. Oh, that's easy. Whoa, okay, go ahead. Chris. Which one? Oh, Canada Day. Yeah, I agree. I think. Canada needs to be part of this conversation. I think it. But is it going to end up into? We're going to have a Canada Day Independence Day joint, episode and X, plus the same type of things like 32, it's like three days later. We have this and have To do the whole composition, and we always do an act all between the two holidays. Yeah that's we usually do. Yeah. There's nothing left. Is there a cic in the comments on me suggesting our per day? But where I remember, it's day isn't a great story. We don't know Labor Day. No, I don't think they delivered. A, I think Canada day is a good one to do for sure. But they better bring it on that one. That's yeah, I think there's so many holidays to choose from like we have a holiday pretty much every month. Don't we could do one on family day. Yeah, that one they can do think I do Truth and Reconciliation a. That will be a real fun episode. You know what? I wouldn't be. I wouldn't put it past them. I think they would probably do something, they take that on. Anyway, let us move on. Well, MVPs and I get to go again. First, I am going to do my usual countdown. I love Really enjoyed Gail in this episode. I thought she was a lot of fun. I think she had one of the lines of the episode when she talked about. Was it the Ozzy kiss? It's like a French kiss but down and down until yeah, I think that was one of my favorite lines Riley and Jonesy were a lot of fun in this. Just how badly they butcher the English language kind of blurry. Yeah. But and even though his monologue was a little long, I got to give my MVP to Glen, Glen was definitely the highlight of this. This episode Trace. What about you? My MVP is going to probably the one that did the most with less and for the second holiday episode running, my MVP will be Mrs. MacMurray. Oh there you go. You got the hots for her, their trays. Don't you? Then that is true. I think if you were Victor you'd be giving it to the subtitles. That is true. God, I missed the boat on that point scored. Well done it. That your MVP. Oh, my it, it's hard because Glenn was outstanding and his dialogue. I would like all the cities and, and his back story on how he became a pyrotechnic, whatever, it, whatever his title is, that was great. But I truly did love when Stewart and role did their whole Matrix and the fireworks and talking about the cakes and roma. Um, candles and packs. And there are levels of fireworks here. Like I still remember The Little Schoolhouse that was burnt, that was like, that was a thing. Just to watch a school house on fire. And that was a tree, right? And buying the firework packs and selling off the ones that we didn't want and stuff. Yeah, so I got to give it to the duo. I got to give it to Stewart and roll. Us kids. Okay man it's funny. I was actually considering giving it to the subtitles because I always thought that was so brilliant but I didn't I wasn't going to go there I wasn't no it's okay. It was I somebody had to represent Victor there because that was that's totally what he would have said that. I would have validated him on this one because yeah, like I said, that was to me the best joke in the episode and I don't and I mean needed to be called out, but that said I am with you. I think there's a lot of good things but Glenn stole the show on this one. His monologue. I thought that was brilliant. Like it just killed me. Everything about how he walked up and just, I don't know. He just owned the own the scene whenever he was in this episode as he normally does but it was like his voice to when it goes deep, right? That? Oh my God. We got Stephen are gonna fight again. There's just too much to handle. So 100% is Glen, excellent and gourd. It's got up, got to be Glenn the monologue the suit that's fit for two people or space for two people and uh yeah I really got that suit from. Yeah. Just wondering if you just you didn't really hit me in the prop room, or we did not know, maybe it's from the props that they used for the land, moon landing Probably from the guy that did the fireworks in the end. Yeah. That was real. Or do you think that was? That was probably just so yeah. That wasn't real. I don't, I wouldn't a looks. It looked like it was in post that they I can't imagine. That's a lot of their budget to waste on a. Yeah. All right, so they didn't spend a lot of budget and so those people from Australia, New Zealand that must have cost a lot. Well, yeah. And this one here was shot along with Seasons, 11, 10 and 11. So yeah, it's been in the can it's been waiting for a while for it to be released? Not. Not from the last season that they did this past September. So timing wise to like at the beginning of this one, we're Wayne's commenting and how cool it is. I thought it was another Don't cast to, you know, the time of year and like before there's a scene where it was supposed to be summer but it looked clearly looked too cold to be summer. In this case, it was around the right time to be shooting on May 24 episode. Yeah and yeah, like St. Patrick's Day they were wearing bikinis and yeah, it's like it's right. That's ridiculous. That doesn't share Karen II. Thought it was noteworthy. That the produce stand wasn't in any of these shots. So makes you wonder whether they'd put it Away already and had to, you know, improvised the setting you know, instead of having it in front of the produce stand, they were sitting around behind the murder Barn, right? Which is not a place that usually, you know, do those shots. I was wondering too why they didn't have a fire like they called it out that they shouldn't have a fire because of the Australians being there. Oh, but I am that is such a May 24 thing to do is to have a fire because it's too damn, cold out. Still, To be out at night like that. So, yeah, some good points there. I think the biggest giveaway was a, you know, when I was watching it I was trying to remember, had I ever seen it before, but that's like the first time I ever saw Wayne with a beard, a beard or facial hair of any sorts. Oh, yeah. Professional here. Only, I didn't, I didn't client like, he was gearing up for sure. He or some maybe, huh. I gotta have noticed that. Wonder if, so they maybe they shot those scenes, like last. No. And hence the produce a way put away. And who knows? Because kind of been called out already. I think awesome was saying, how long his hair was looking to? MMM. And somebody had mentioned somebody who live in the Discord? Who knows, McMurray the actor who plays McMurray and noticing. Also, how Shaggy his hair was in this episode? So I yeah, it's all interesting stuff but you know all conjecture at this point. Anyway just going to move on really quickly here to some bits of news. Unfortunately, the first one is a pretty bit of the pretty sad bit of news. Sad news from Sudbury. There's a fire downtown involving a number of downtown buildings including the Coulson Oscars, Grill, and many apartment units. CBC news reports that investigators believe the fire started in the kitchen of oscars Grill. Thankfully, it sees sounds as though there were only a few minor injuries but the residents of those apartments have been displaced and one really sad casualty of the fire seems to be Been called vintage store, the Vintage store that we all visited, where we met Camila cool. And unfortunately, they on their Facebook page, they put out a post saying that, you know, basically everything in the store was lost, so that's really sad. Obviously and they have started up a gold GoFundMe page, we have shared it out on our Twitter, and we have a bunch of our followers of also shared it out. So If you can, you know if you can afford it, you know, please give help some of the funds are going to go evenly to the people who need it. The most, the people who are displaced who lost their apartments and the businesses, I am sure are insured, but the money will go to the right people. So if you can get to that go fun. Please do in happier news much, much happier news. We have booked our first female cast member interview. And you're going to hear here, first. I haven't even set it on the Discord. I mean, Matt and tan, you know, about this. But we are going to have kailani Rose who plays migue. She's going to visit the produce and next Thursday. So we can't wait. And let me tell you We want me last week, was a jerky. So, loving and there's a reason for it because he, when we were meeting with him in Sudbury and the ladies had him cornered saying, how, you know, they write women's parts so well, and, and he asked if it's there anything we can do, says, yes, we want some female cast members. And I swear to God, I have received three connections from care through, from Jared, through care. Kill the keyline is only the first. They're coming in the man's true to his word. He's a prince. So, just imagine there's I remember his response when that came up, when he said getting female cast members, he looked in his like, done. That was, that was all he said. And yeah, man came through, he came to this week. I got the emails from Kara and kalon is the first but not the last. So I am very excited about that. Can't wait. You need someone to cover for Victor. Victor will not be here but I think we're gonna sorry Trey something we will just handle this the three of us but thank you for the offer, your for your man. Do you have an extra special patreon level to get to that? Know what I mean? Just like every other interview will put it out to our patrons for a week and then it will go out to the general public after that. So we're looking forward to talking to kailani. Listen to comments. And we do have a new Apple review here. So, five stars if you're looking for the, your first podcast, this is it. I have only been a podcast list. I have not been a podcast listener, but I decided to look for some extra content about one of my all-time favorite shows. So I decided to try this podcast boy. Am I glad I did. This is what I believe podcast and should be all about some friends, sitting around having a beer talking about their favorite subject. Which in this case is one of the great TV shows out there. I love how they also have Embraced the community that is followed them as well. I feel like I have four new Canadian friends, keep up the great work. And yes, that means you popped my podcast Cherry. That is from Tim Oscar. Thank you so much. Tim for the very, very kind words. And I do have a message on Discord from our buddy Jack you wanted to say, hey mate, I have been flat out like a lizard drinking. Yeah, I have to find out does is c*** used like quite a bit and, and Australia? Because I Don't feel Australia. You can you make we use c***? No, no, no. Is that just like a it's a UK thing that I mean it's just a different word there? Yes. Would you hear on TV? It's still like it's it doesn't, it's not TB level. Okay it but it's like and I don't, I don't know, I don't think it's what I was always surprised with like on Like the UK. Just how Cavalier they are with the f word really? Oh yeah. I mean it's nothing really huh? Not it like it is here. Anyway. Like you watch a Graham Norton that? I mean I am just dropping f-bombs every other word. Yeah. But I don't think that. I don't think you're going to hear it or continent. Graham Norton. Yeah. It I just don't hear it very often here at that. They may be playing for the Americans to because I think he I mean he's an international law Incident would it get its receive differently here for sure. Yeah. I have heard you're on lasso I think ya c***. Yeah. Yeah. The UK uses it like punctuate? Yeah, they did that. That's allotted. Tell Elsa. Yeah, I remember they did a whole episode on. Was it lucky Louie at the Louis c.k? Show that came out years ago? And there's a whole episode just on the use of that word, and he called his wife, a c*** at the beginning of the episode and then even the whole episode was just him his friends and everyone. Meaning to him why he was in the wrong, right? And he said that, he couldn't understand why she shut down on him. Yeah, yeah, you know what, I only watch one or two episodes of that lucky Louie's show, but I feel like that's one of the ones I watch because I was things about. It was really funny. You don't think what you wanted. I Love Lucy. Can I know he, he's been, he's had some shady ass moments, but that show when it first came out, was really f****** funny. All right, we're going to Australia next. Yes, we're gonna visit with all those c**** in Australia, all right. In New Zealand. First Jack went like that. Oh, Jack will not like that, but he already eaten. He already knew that you were on the New Zealand side on the Kiwi side. Alright? Final comments, I start. Thank you guys. This is a lot of fun. It's been a long time since we have done a review recap episode. And this was what broke hunt and f****** where and this was great, Gord amazing. I hope you enjoyed your first solo. Effort and you did a great job. You Victor proxy, Trace our buddy. I loved and still love that background. And you did a great job even though I am pretty sure Victor would not have approved of any of your ratings, we don't guarantee you and, but he's not here. Is he and thank you all to the folks on the livestream which was really Lively tonight. And very helpful, especially having Jack on Jack. I hope you don't, you know, get in trouble with your boss because I know right now you're at work. Watching and listening. So, thank you, bud. And we will see you in the line in the after show trace. Thank you guys for having me on. I got a chance to want to be Victor, right? Some wrongs and Brenda some runs and it was just fun. Talk about this episode. I hadn't worked in episode like forever. Gord you're seriously the most interesting person I have ever seen. I mean we I don't know, beforehand. Are we talking about all the places and it's like 102 damn country's Lomb? How would you actively have to go to 102 countries? You don't just accidentally. Go to 102 countries, actively, do you have one of those big like scratch boards and you have scratched every country of? Oh, I have an after spinner kitchen. We have got a map with the pins in it, so even better. Yeah, it was great. And you're like the coolest person. I know. Thank you. Excellent. Tell you. This is just so much fun. We haven't done this in. So long when you called out homework, I was like what. Now I wasn't entirely. Sure, I didn't realize that we had an episode and so this is just like flashback and I loved it. And thank you so much. You guys were amazing proxy, Victor, Trace. You did a great job. I love Thomas. The Train. Brings me back to have you happy memories with the kids? Yeah, you did a great job, gord. It was a pleasure having you Tonight, you brought out some great points and yeah, you just you really pulled apart all of the show like it was, it was, there was a lot in the show. Again, I am disappointed with Alan, there was a lot in the show to really to just enjoy, right? Yeah, it was so much fun. We had the right guest on though, the word world traveler, but he's also Canadian, so he could talk to both the Aussies and Kiwis and the Canadian ankle. So since then I lived in the states for. Yeah, seven years. That's right. Yeah. And what was it again? Austin Texas Houston. Oh Houston. Yeah Matt. So not even good Texas. Sorry Matt's lost audio? I believe. So we're doing behind my headphones. Died on me. Oh, is that what happened? Yeah, but they just didn't just convert back to my, my computer audio. We just went away altogether. So, anyways, it was a great night. Thank you so much. It was, it was perfect and everybody on the live stream. Umm, it was just so much conversation going on, and we will just gotta shout out. Shout out to Jack. Thank you for filling in some of those blanks because yeah, this one we almost we need like a solo episode just to pick apart what was said. So now we're talking about that there is there are efforts underway right now to do an international egg Hall social. I haven't spoken to you guys yet about it. That means we're going to do an egg Hall. I mean, To do a regular, I called in a few weeks. But some of our overseas listeners Jack trial injure and then it Dennis Suitor who are in the UK, and they have a hard time joining us, and they have asked if we could do and I call for them. Okay, and they have arrived at a date and the time we will talk about this offline, but they want to make it happen. And I think it's a great idea. I think we should invite our overseas International listeners for and I call and do it all. Do so much fun. What time do, what time do I wake up in the middle of the night? Rock 3 AM? It's a 7 AM oh start on a Saturday, so 7 AM on it. While I get my doable TZ. I am usually up by then. Okay, go back and have a nap after. All right. So I have got a date that they have I have given them. I can't drink though, at that time. So I will have to be a cop. Give them the PM somewhere. What time is it? And Abby and everybody else's land, it will be. They have worked at all load and the time zones. Can't wait. That's exciting amount of Caesars. Everyone was crushing at 7 AM Yeah, you're good. Lot of Caesars. So anyway that's something that we're planning. But anyway, Matt did you already give your final comment? I did not. But that was okay. That was it. That was a valid Interruption. It was timely and it was on topic so you get a pass. Yeah, this is a fun shy. I love these review episodes gourd. Thanks so much for coming. Yeah, I am with them. You are very interesting f****** guy and I live a humble about it. You are. Yeah, and 102 countries only. I am just like it's nothing. I am leaving mean. I think I have been to like five countries and don't forget every American state, which is there's 50 of those and every Province and territory. So, wow, like dude, yeah, that's its unreal. I could talk to you for hours, just trying to figure out where you have been and what's going on. I am sure you have got stories for days, so glad for letting the thank you for letting us into a bit of that tonight. It was very interesting. Yeah, trace. This is this. I like this set of Victor, like I said, so you know what? If I were casting? We there's a real consideration here bud. Good, just good on you. You know, I know you keep your rhyming needs a little work, but I always have a little bit of friction, so he's gotta keep it going. Such a blast. What's that only? The only, the patrons for And your back and forth but that's okay. You want to hear it? Jai become a patron. Know, so much fun. Love these know, like when's the next time and there's a gap and God damn it. I am so looking forward to the girls though. Come on, man. That's exciting. Yeah, I know. I am so now when you messaged us about that the other day I my heart lit up like yes so excited that I hope this. I hope this is the I know that really opens up this way. So we did say, if you remember like, early on our goal this year as we want to speak to some of the amazing Women cast members of these shows and that was my goal for Sudbury. Yes around. I said it and you brought it home and brought home. And no, we said that was one of our goals as years. We wanted to really explore that, and I am so thankful that's happening. And the more that are going to come to follow some really good interviews ahead. I know it so excellent and go. Cord and cord, thank you, it was fun. I was done extra homework, make sure I was prepared, yeah, greatly represented, well appreciated, the opportunity, it's good, that we fell into an episode. And I worked with my timing, and I was completely when L reached out to me I was like an episode on wet because I was totally not paying attention to them May 24 and then you said that it's going to be met for two episodes. Yeah. Let em just typed and you just decide to acknowledge he needs 42 beers. Just 24,000. No, appreciate it was fun. And look forward to next time. Awesome.
