Podcasts, the produce stand f****** sexy. It's Freaky Friday. And we are once again hanging out of the produce stand. I passed covering everything in the universe. Now I know what you're thinking there are many other Letterkenny. So there, but this one is unbelievable. I am Al your host and not joining me. Tonight is a lovely 10. You, she's in a bit of pain right now, so she's not going to be able to join us, but we do have squirrely Matt online and no Victor either. So you get half of us tonight. But that's okay because joining us tonight. He is a former hockey player and Coach mixed martial artist with a lifetime record of 30 and ohs, and actor a proud father. But we know and love him as Brent, goody-good leaf on Shore. Zp join me, making some noise for Andrew and Soon in my dress, oh my gourd, I regret nothing. Welcome to the produce, stand Andrew, the cannon Anson and I should have, I should have added the nickname in their welcome. Thank you, thanks for having me. That's quite the intro, and we aim to please here at the protest and what we Started a while back giving people a heads up of how ridiculous it is. Because you he'd say, welcome and then people would start talking over and it got really awkward. So we have to give everyone a heads up now that it is completely obscure and out there but hang in there. No, it's good. I like it. Alright, so thank you for joining us. A were you speaking to us from upstate New York? So, just an hour, south of Montreal. Oh nice, is that? Is that where you're from originally? No, I am from Northern Manitoba. And Community. There, I have been out here for the last. I have been working here for the last seven, eight years now. Okay, cool. So I was, I have been working here since backs was playing Junior in Quebec Montreal. Yeah. What sort of work do you do in New York doing a number of things beginning? I was working as a carpenter and up running the construction crew for a few years now. I Caretaker for like 6,000, Acres up the, we had Around Back Mountain. So nice that's fun and get to be outdoors all day and me and another guy, no, not at all. And then also manage like a turbine, like we have a big power down there. So, oh, wow, meaning me. And another guy kind of take the readings and make sure the maintenance is up-to-date stuff like that. So, so you keep busy. And, and your, you know, now Famous actor on a Great Canadian show Shore Z. Yeah, it depends on whom you ask, I guess we're asking, and we think so. So thanks. Well, we will get to shore Z, but let us find out a little bit more about you. So you grew up in that in Northern Manitoba and obviously you played hockey or else, you wouldn't be unsure as he. So how, how did you start with the hockey? Yeah, so I grew up in Northern Manitoba. It's a small reserve called Lac brochet. In Manitoba grew up there. Till I was 13. I just always liked the outdoors, always playing outside Road, hockey, you know, right, big into sports, hunting fishing all that stuff. But, so I started late, I left for high school when I first started playing organized hockey. So I was 13. Turning 14. I went to a school called Notre Dame in Saskatchewan, okay, it's a boarding school. I went there for years, played hockey there and I had a blast doing it. I end up in proven, I play Team Manitoba for a couple of years. It's got scouted to go on this. Hit the ice shoulders, like a top-20. Aboriginal team that they put together from the National Tournament. Their National Aboriginal hockey championship. So, that's how I ended up out east. I went to got nose camp and bunch of different camps around here and I end up settling in gonna walk. You come back, played Junior there and had a hell of a time. So I had my mind made up that I just wanted to play Juniors more or less. I didn't really want to go to university right away, right? Wanted to party it up and hang out with girls and all that. All that fun stuff as you do and you're in your teens at late, teens early 20s I guess in Quebec. Yeah, so then yeah. So from ended up being out their eyes. I am still involved with hockey a lot like Come with a charity called first assist few accents each other's John Shabbat. And so, so we travel to different digitus communities and put on hockey clinics and donate equipment. It smells like that. So yeah. And then I yeah. What's your reach with the charity? Is it is a Canadian isn't in the US or is its kind of scattered all out? Like how do you relate determine where you go? Yeah, so we focused on flying communities. Well I am engaged. Indigenous communities in Canada just because they have like limited to no access to the city. So yeah, we kind of got to go see them and you know, give them a quality Hockey Camp and stuff and you know, hopefully give them some exposure and You know, maybe who knows the next person, you know, give them an opportunity to sort of say yeah. One of these kids can hopefully do something you some great. Well, when you were playing what position did you play? I played defense. Okay, yeah, yeah, so I got explained to us that explains the numbers and your penalty minutes. I said, I am a preacher had a lot of, a lot of Majors. Those aren't just to their, to, their lot of major. So yeah, yeah, well do is fun. You know, like when I first started playing Junior, I never liked wanted to like I didn't fight for the longest time for the first because I wanted to play hockey, right? God, good ice and stuff. So and then I thought one time and f******, you know, to be this s*** out of this kid and then next thing, you know, your known as one writer and yeah, and then kind of get labeled with that. And yeah, he became the Goon overnight pretty much. Yeah. Now, Now, it shows here that you your last year, with the Kana walkie, Condors was 2015. So when you was a tough to leave, or did you play beyond that and just not know, it wasn't tough to leave. I had, I mean, people still reach out to me to go and play like a couple Semi-Pro, you know teams there and but I just like I said, I had I am not going to make a career out of it so like for me with this ported, served me well and I got to meet a lot of Who places? Or meet a lot of cool people. See a lot of cool things. But yeah, got me to the position that I am now, really? And yeah. So I just kind of wanted to leave it at Junior and focus on my career sort of say, well you so you mentioned the fight and then you kind of became known as a fighter. So that's kind of really great segue into your next career as an MMA fighter. Yeah, that's that how that all worked out. It was the owner of the hockey team. Also, has this one of the top promotions and Eastern Canada for amateur fighting and called Fight Quest. And we went to one of the shows. He invited us mean another teammate of mine. We watch these fights and I told the guys name is Peter. I said, API said I, I can fight in one of these things. Like, no, he's like, you guys found pound the s*** out of. He's like you're just your ego, get the best of you here. Yeah. And then he's like these guys will pound the s*** out of you know the you know it's your just the hockey fighter blah. I said I am serious, then he didn't know that. I had a third degree black belt before and take one of those. There you go. Okay I was gonna ask you about that. Yeah, yeah, so like yeah your words your soup enough to step in the ring with just a few hockey fights on. Yeah, yeah I said I, you know, I fight in tournaments before, and I am a lot better with my feet, and I am with my hands and So anyway, you see wanted, he wanted to teach me a lesson, and he's like yeah you think you can find easily called me on a Tuesday and their Sparta Spartans on Tuesday. Like at 6 PM is to show up to the gym at six. So I showed up and it was just straight sparring. So I sparred and did really good kick the few people in the f****** head and at the end of the f****** Splash, at the end of the class, he said, yeah, you're fighting in two months. So quo kind of just blew up after. That I did Jujitsu and all this s***. Lot of training. A lot of lots of training strict meal plan, you know, five six meals a day calculated. You know, he'd have to weigh all your food and not the chicken tenders a lot of. Yeah lot of chicken first, very lots of chicken f*** and so yeah, I started training at that and I started getting the first guy I fought Alex when he's a tough customer. He actually It was like fighting for the Islanders on their farm team in the NHL and stencil he was coming out of hockey, like, pretty much the same time as me. It was like this, you know, like go to hockey players. You know, you guys are going told ya in the middle of the Octagon, just standing open, throwing Haymakers, right nut and tactics. Yeah, no. So we had our first fight together and I one that fought another guy beat him. He's another really good fighter. Sock polite. They're actually two guys. I think I also know hasn't lost a fight since me. So he hasn't really good Pro record. He learned his lesson. They're both well and empowered to like he's a really good fighter. Both Town two guys, and they're pretty sure they're on the UFC watchlist and stuff so well. So what I mean you have got a perfect record, so I don't blame you for stopping. But why did you stop? We're had you stopped, what are you planning ongoing back? Yeah. So I thought I slide three times. MMA has got my fourth fight, was supposed to be a title fight. I kind of screwed up my knee, literally the week of the face shading up to the fight. So that got cancelled. Then while I was still in shape, I decide to take a box in my. So those three fights that you see on the internet, it's, that's just MMA. So, I took a box and fight. That didn't last too long that was, I one that I want is like a 16-second plate. Oh, you want to be like, Yeah. So a couple exchanges there, the guy who knocked the guy owed and then I took another fight in K1 kickboxing. Same thing with that lasted. First round, I TKO, I won by TKO and no, damn, don't f*** with them, good. And then I, I was scheduled and then my fight after that. I was scheduled for another title fight and that was a draw. So that was my last one, but where I kind of Drew the line was for me. It is more like an activity sort of said and I didn't see myself making a career out of it. So things started getting serious. It was like you know going to sign pro and be like a multi fight you know deal type of thing, and I am like do I really you know want to go this row? Like it's not like I love fighting that much you know I like the art of it, right? So I was like, so I kind of just spread it away from but I always train, you know, like I say martial arts is a lifelong thing. Not just, you know, fighting careers is short, you know. I want to do this for the rest of my life. So I still train, I do pads. I teach people, I teach social classes and privates and stuff like that. Yeah, I like that. I mean, I mean, it sounds like you the third degree black, but you clearly had previously training or previous training and then you tested yourself for bit in the ring. See how you do. And, and then like, Okay. That was fun. Yeah, I am not letting it go but it's not a career. And at least yours was to make that choice for yourself. So totally respect that. Yeah, like, I mean there was there's no, like, even in the UFC now. There's no like Fighters insurance and any of that stuff, right? So, like and even guys in the UFC, aren't making a whole lot of money. Like what's an entry for you? 12,000 to show up 12,000 if you win, but we're then you still get taxed and you got to pay your trainers and all this stuff. So what are you really walking away? But the end other than a broken hose and right. Yeah, they really got to love it or you know that be your only route as life or something. I don't know. But I can only speak for myself. So sure. A lot of risk there for sure. And yeah. So now I mean, both hockey and MMA or your kind of hobbies, right? Kind of stuff you do in your spare time, what would you say monopolize? Your time, would it be one or the other kind of is it 50/50 split right now? Yeah. It's I still play hockey once a week just you know for fun with the guys, join a native tournament once in a while and play for cash prizes and MMA, you know, still train once twice a week, you know, with my coach they're not so much recently like in the last couple months just because he's been in Montreal a lot. I have been here a lot but I still hit the bag, all that stuff throughout the week, 34 times treat. Like I said, train other people have other people, hold pads for me and stuff. So, yeah, I am very, very still, very involved in that. And if I wanted to jump back in and I, you know, wouldn't be much to get back into it. Yeah, very cool. During my research on you, there's a lot out there outside of your hockey and your MMA fighting career, was trying to find something that, but I do want to ask you I was certain story that I found on Instagram, so you have got a couple of kids corrects. Yeah. One of them you delivered at home? Yeah. And that wasn't planned. Now, I know some people like plan to do it at home but so, can you tell that story? Yeah, that's f****** crazy. That's b*******. So that obviously by far that's the craziest thing that ever happened to me at the same time. You know, very like, holy s***. I just happened anyway. So, so what happened was the plan was to do have a home delivery, like an advisor supposed to be here in sure. And so, actually that Midwife came the night before and stayed the night at the house, and she checked again the next morning, and she says, well, I think I have time to go see another client like she wasn't as dilated she was right before. So she thought she had a few hours while she left and I mean, I was going to go to work, and she was going to be at house at the house alone and where we live. We don't have like really any neighbors where we have our own driveway. Like, there's a little sex me up like 12 acres, of course else. And pretty remote stuff like that. So yeah, so we're in the woods a little bit, it's very nice and cozy. So anyways, so at the time I was running a construction crew, so I you know I had stuff to do that day and anyways I was about to leave, and I am like, where the f*** is this Midwife, you know, like you're not, and she started to have contractions, you know, like I am like, I am like, is this normal, you know? I mean, like, I have no experience whatsoever. I have never been in the hospital room or anything with anybody given birth to me the most of the word doctor in front of your name. Very few people do have experience get, I mean, yeah, that's crazy. So then I said, all right, well I am not gonna go to work. I will hang tight with you here until the midwives come on. So now these contractions are happening like fast. Like I like very more frequently, and she's like, squealing on the couch and like what the f*** is going on here? And I am like, all right. Well, let me bring you up to the room kitchen. A bit. Get you a little bit more comfortable. Yeah. And I have a stepson as well. We have been together since he was three. He's nine now. But at the time, he was seven, and he was here with us. So I brought her upstairs, and she's going nuts and like, It just seemed like an f****** murder scene so and can a man die trying to calm my oldest and ik like, and he's crying. Not sure what's going on? Yeah, and I would take him to the room. I don't want to see any of this. So I take him to the room. I said, hey buddy, you gotta be brave for me for a little bit, just stay here. I am going to take care of your mom and when I am back, you know, you will have a little brother. Wow, You will have a little brother and so when I come around the corner, And now like there's like ten thousand things going through my f****** head. Like what do I would like what do I do? Where I come around the corner and the heads already? Oh my God I am like what's all that escalated quickly. Oh yeah. And then so like I am on the phone like with her mom, trying to get her mommy I am like she's like what are you guys it? You got to get here now. Like my hung up the phone midway's. Are you on the phone to try to talk me through it? I can't even hear like knowledge. Like what the like, f****** The phones they're tan speaker but you don't hear any no? Yeah, sure, no. You're in full panic mode right now. Oh yeah. So like, like, so I go up, I grab the head and I would like, try to pull like just a little bit. Yeah, doesn't budge. I am like f*** lie like this kid's gonna get stuck to his die suffocate. I am gonna break its neck or something. Yeah, just you think, you think the worst thing? Yeah. And then, so then she like looks At me and like she's like, she's like, is he how and or is this head out? And I wanted to like because like should try to make this, you know, a little bit more comfortable but as they. Yeah, f****** heads out. Just like, okay. He's like on the next contraction. Pull, again, a little bit. I said, okay, she had another contraction and then I pulled a bit and I just felt it move a little bit. I just went with it and the baby came right out and wow and the and what was funny Me too, but we weren't sure. It's because she her water didn't fully break. Her water didn't break. So, they didn't like, that's one of the reasons why I guess the Midwife had left. Like the baby wasn't ready, right? But when the baby came out and that's when all the s*** came outside, I got spray was so funny. You got the full? See the full? Yeah. Oh yeah. So then I had to, you know, my son in my hands I am like, I am like I am sure the first words he heard was like cool s*** or Coley. So I go running the bathroom. Grab a towel, you know, running over. Wrap it up and 0 at the same time. I miss part of the story that I am on at the same time still trying to call an ambulance to get here because I said I will call an ambulance have them write at least around for ya for the any emergency and I have ever. Yeah, the Midwife aren't here. So anyways, there's nobody here. It's like I called my f****** way. Of the guys that was I was working with. I said you got to meet the at me because I almost couldn't find a place to, so he had to meet the ambulance, bring him down to the bring him down the road and s***, and to our place. And by the time there was like everything was done, there's like f****** now, there's a big Orchestra in the driveway. There's 10 people like already to help I say could use any one of you guys. Like literally a minute ago. Yeah, but the baby was You know, was Audi. Cried, you know, everything was good Midwife showed up, maybe about 15, 20 minutes after way them. Healthy as could be so amazing. I was lucky and I took a little while for it to kind of settle in, and I was like, man, that was fun. While it two weeks later, I was like, because if I just have that happen I was gonna say you have played hockey in front of. I am sure. Large crowds you have fought in the knocked, a gun. How does that adrenaline rush? Compared to delivering your own kid. I was gonna say it's like this similar. It's the similar to like being in a fight where like the S feel like minutes with our sort of say. Yeah. And but this was a lot like slower than like yeah. It was a lot more intense, adrenaline and instincts take over. Yeah. And honestly, what I heard so, I mean, that's a story. You're never gonna know that is yours. You own that store. What? I also loved in there is Mama bear is a rockstar because we were telling me right At that moment where she's in that chaos managed to stop and Coach you. Oh yeah. Like that's unbelievable. Yeah. Yeah. It was definitely a team effort there, for sure. Yeah. Because I guess that I had no idea. I was f****** s******* bricks, man, like I was like what's gonna happen here like, you know, like you don't last thing you want is to paralyze your kid or just, you know if anything like it could have come out the wrong way. Yeah. Whatever. Any type of complication. But no, it was, it was a perfect storm. I guess you could say, and how old is he? Now, he's too. Yeah, and it is a button. I saw a video, he just posted of him eating soup, and he looks so much like you. Yeah, he's a cool little fella from Dad's to die. We're all dads exactly a rolled out to congratulate. Yeah. And Elation I am amazed you got through that bad, so that's wild. Yeah. There is why I am glad we were able to show that story because as soon as I saw him like, yeah, I know that there's an amazing story that I am sure. So, let us move on to why people are listening. I mean, I am sure they will appreciate that story, but we're going to talk Shore Z. Now, first of all before you hear about chores E, I mean, how do you get into acting like? We're you did, you have designs on acting before or was this something that kind of fell in your lap? Yeah, it was definitely some. I just fell in my lap. I mean, before they will always been thoughts of like oh, like would be cool to be an actor. Do some act in our get some TV time or whatever. Think a lot of us first time, actors can say that, you know, it's crossed her or mine before but you never really pursued it. But, um, but yeah. Actually gonna deal horn. Mmm, she reached out to me. I am very good friends with, with her boyfriend, their partner anyway, so she knew I played hockey, I played hockey played Junior in the town that she's from, and She said, hey, they're looking for another native character for the show Shore Z, would you be interested? And I said, yeah, sure, I will give it a shot and at first, I didn't, you know, didn't really think too much of it. I didn't know the backstory to it or whatever. And then she had mentioned the Letterkenny thing. I said, no s***. And I remember I went letter for Kenny first came out like, the, the first season six, the first six episode members watching it with the A while ago, when you know, with this girl that showed me and I thought it was a funny as s***, but like there was nothing after that. So I never really followed up on. I like I am not really a big TV guy and this was a thing that kind of caught my interest. Sure I didn't end up like watch the rest of the scene but then I knew that it kind of blew up after they're doing all these things are sorry, all these Seasons. So anyways, she sent me a little addition, part 2. To audition for, which was the scene of when we're like nobody touches the bird all that s***, you know, when we're doing, when we first, get to the apartment there. So I ran that I was doing, I was doing a flip in my house at the time, and so I set up my little drywall light there, and put my f****** phone on the windowsill, and posted my lines on the drywall. And I raised in Iran in through that and I even sent it. I don't know if I sent it later. What by sent it late at night? It was like 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning. I was f****** around with it. Like, I started way too late and there's a deadline. And anyways, sent it in. I said, man, I said I don't know how I did, but this is the best not the best. I guy said this is, this is what I have and I hope you guys like it sent it in, and they say, I guess they really enjoyed it. So, yeah. And that's how I kind of got the part. Yeah, it's interesting. That they were looking for another native character because like to be one of the s**** considering that the three gems are the tough natives, so they wanted to make of to be also part of like the main, you know, group of s****. Right? So and yeah. And you were the one they picked. That's really cool. Yeah, when did you end up? So at what point do you meet Jared and Jacob? That was on Zoom. I think they met with everybody on Zoom before for anything. Talk to us, got to know each other and said they said if we had any questions because they knew I was green like green, like probably one of the greenest. I don't love everybody. So I said I really don't really know what to even ask, but I am going to do my best for you guys. That's for sure, you know? And yeah, so they were excited. We just kind of chit-chatted got to know each other and yeah, they're really cool people. So they made it very comfortable and yeah, and everything went I especially like being on set, you know, deal was that, you know, that middle person as well but right. They were just the way they shoot very comfortable. The he's the cinema, they brought us to a week early we skated around got the feel of each other, and then we shot all the hockey seems in the beginning. So we kind of. Yeah. So we kind of when it came down to the acting part it wasn't like they just threw acid in front of a camera. So we're kind of used to have been having the cameras around and stuff and by that time we all kind of knew each other's personalities and stuff like that. Yeah you know that is smart because you guys kind of developed a chemistry with Each other on the ice first, right? So that's yeah. And get calling their part, he's great. Yeah. Like it seems everything was like perfectly calculated. It seemed like these people know what the f***** going on, that's the same Vibe. Every single person says it's all calculated. All intentionally. Everything Jared does is by Design and yeah, the guy knows what he's doing. Yeah, he's a genius man. For sure. So we have had you probably know we have had Max bouffard on. We have had the Joe Todo, Lo we have had Terry. We have had Ryan McDonald. So I ask all of them this question because you guys are all the s**** other, you know, wait, we're waiting to get Shore Xeon and, you know, he's a bit of a tougher. Get. But, who would you say is when you're on the ice? First of all, you get on the ice, it gets. I am sure gets competitive, right? You guys start, you know, competing a bit. Yeah. Yeah, it wasn't so much. Like, it's not like we're asking around like doing Ones and s***. You know, it's we get on the ice will fill skate, you know, we run it through some drills as more or less doing drills, right? So like, and then we obviously fool around with play games at the end. Sure. Stuff like that. But yeah, I mean, as far as competitive the most competitive, it gets his at the end but three forget what the game is called horseshoe or whatever or horse. But yeah, you it's when your it's a place against the goalie were like half moon around the go. Goalie. And yeah. So like I said we just did drill and had fun skated and yeah. So I will ask you what? I asked everybody else who's the best player on the ice. Adam all look like they're liking the gyms and everybody slots? Yeah. All right. Yeah. I guess I Gotta Give it to Jordan. I mean, he's the got the Rings, right? Yeah. I mean f****** it kind of speaks for itself. Yeah, I believe JoJo. Don't know. Said he was the best player on the. Yeah, he started he took credit himself. Oh, maybe he thought you guys are just talking about, like, me to Terry and Jake, you know. Yeah, I might have, I might have said, who's the best of the slots, but you're right? It would probably be Jordan Wright since he's the man. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The other quick question and I don't actually knows the missing tooth. Is it fake or real in your case? No hits run really. Well, then there's actually, there's actually three of them. All right, so that follow-up question how? Well, what? Why are there three missing? Oh, I took, I took a heavy f****** well, I played defense right, so, I take it. The guy was coming down on the one-on-one, and he wound up for a slapshot night and I stopped and I pulled check the puck. So when he followed through this shot, it rolled up my stick and career-ready visor and shattered my teeth like not like clean fellow. Like it was my mouth was Charles, like is that the end of Shift and I remember breathing in and those like little fine particles come to my throat and s***, you know. Yeah. So I got to the bench. I am like, f*** like and I just like touch with my tongue like they're like razor sharp. And I am like and this poor little girl was our trainer like not a little girl like she's young. She was older than the therapist you know, but she's she would just small petite, you know, delicate little thing and it's like, are you okay? And I have my hand You know, I just looked at it and I smiled with like the most gnarly f****** his teeth ever in like all bloody and so. And she's like, any, I could just remember seeing the look on her face, and she was like, oh my God, like she got scared, and I was like, it's okay. Like what I really liked about the skate-off. So I skated off and went to the hospital, and they only pulled out actually the bottom one because like my bottom eye tooth there, it was cracked right, down the middle and that one bothered me the most. Because, like, you can't like eat, or like do anything, you know, like the split right down then? I have like Deep Roots. So they even shittier. But so, I went to the hospital, stop there, for whatever length, they pulled the next day. I got that bottom one pulled, but I had to wait a week with my two front ones the way they were, because there was no room for dentists or anything. So, well, you didn't how Terry Ryan dental plan with the sledgehammer. No, no. I that's a story as many punches as I took. I don't think I would f****** do something like that. So wild man, well, it's funny that you like the two, three, four. You I know is a be that led to some of even our listeners, of course, fans of Shores. He's favorite moments. I know I think it's Casey. One of our listeners is a big fan of you and there's that one scene in like the second or third episode when you guys are at the club and you're both to throw down and you just look at the guy to give this grin and out comes your tooth. Yeah. Why our female listeners? I can tell you. That's the moment. They all fell in love with you, man. Yeah, I think that was the highlight for me during that season there, for sure. It's amazing. That Rosie has made it so that women Swoon, when you move, when you remove your false teeth like that, right? You would think the opposite. Yeah, I guess not. So what would you say would be like a memorable moment for you on set? Like, if I mean, would it be like the first time you had to actually Act? Or can you think them? On set. Yeah, I mean I remember we were sitting there and I think it was at Pepe Panini and person as an f****** act in here, boys. Were f****** acted. So that was pretty cool. You know, it's like here we are acting in a way like so it's kind of like a little bit of a joke there, is it? But you're like well I don't see what the big deal is. This is easy, this is s***. You just say the words. Yeah well it when f****** they say action and s*** gets real State think it's time now. You know, it's what it's it is still but it was a little bit nerve-racking, but I was like a sponge. I was taking everything in so towards the end I kind of got a bit more comfortable and even just like no one like where to look or known where the cameras are. All right, so but yeah, I definitely learned a lot and yeah, that was a good moment for us, for me, for sure. Did you have a hard time holding it together? Sometime like that. Content is hysterical, right? So yeah, I didn't you break a lot like a lot? I think everybody can admit that they f****** had a hard time keeping it together, but we like, the guys, we would go over our s*** in the hotel rooms like religiously almost like, you know you we wanted to be prepared for you know what we were doing and stuff. So like I am well I do like, when I first read the script, I f****** held. You know, like I couldn't get through like the stuff, so I do like, you know, so I got all the laughs kind of out of the way but then when we were acting. Yeah there was a lot of like when you see it happen and Shores he's doing this thing and, you know, like it's hard to f****** not to smile, you know, like good thing like they didn't have a wide angle because I think there's a lot of us that points where we were f****** laugh and then you know, it's a good thing. They had a closed upon him, right, right. Did you ever get Starstruck while on set? Like, did you see anybody going? Oh wow. I can't believe I am here and no, I honestly, I don't like I said again, I don't watch a whole lot of drinking. I never really have your more of an outdoorsy guy. Sure. So yeah, like I like to get down and dirty and you know do s*** like that. Yeah. But I guess stars as far as Starstruck Jared, I mean, when I first saw him, he was coming in to the brink there to, you know, meet us and stuff smells like f******. This is the guy. Hey, this is the man. Yeah. So Yeah. He'd be the one I was most excited to meet, for sure. Yeah, so when production was done and you watch the season, you know back afterwards what would you, what would be your favorite scene or, you know episode anyway? Would it be like that jurian or that somebody else is in? I gotta say the fight scene. That was a cool. That was a cool scene where the hallway. Oh yeah, that was cool. Like even in watching the show and you seriously this is f****** great, you know but yeah and even when we were shooting it was fun too because you know, there is so much going on, and we had a guy to pick, and we're still, you know, You know, fighting with these guys just sort of say or stunt them with them and but yeah, it was fun. A lot of like I said, a lot of Yeah, a lot of learning experiences even at with stunts and s***, you know, how to fake fight and stuff like that. But that was probably one of my favorites for sure. They get, what about the scene around the barbecue? That must have been fun to shoot. Yeah, that was fun to. I mean, that was, that was towards the end of the season, I believe. But that was fun. And so, we kind of knew, I mean, we again, the jokes Parts like we're kind of, were used to it and stuff, kind of, you know, just flipping with each other and stuff. Yeah, you already had that chemistry, right? Yeah, yeah. And like I said, we got the laughs out of the way. For the most part and I feel like maybe that's scene might have been, you might have been a little rushed or pressure just because you when that snow was falling that was real. That was a real snowfall right all? Yeah. Yeah. You probably want to Quick. Let us get this scene because this is perfect and if it stops or whatever then continuity and all that stuff you got to think about, right? Yeah, exactly. But actually it was kind of like we were actually grateful for the snow. We like that. It wasn't. It was beautiful. Yeah look yeah wasn't super. It was like super nice Dale. Yeah, the snow was like one of those snowflakes that are like big and fluffy. Yeah. S***. And it was like a beautiful spot to or like f****** a like that's another moment where you're like you know, we got it made here, landed all this s***. Look at all the lights, all these people in the house doing all this s***. Yeah, yeah it's the same kind of setting is like the final moment when you guys are running down the street, I was it I think was Harlan was talking about how he was injured and then all the and had to bounce back. And suddenly the snow And you guys all got the call and iCarly's go. We're heading to the street. Yeah, he f****** he heard his ass bone. There's yeah. Yes, yes, that, that was. I think we got, they called it after that. They weren't sure if he was gonna like be able to continue or not. So, the big hauls done everything that they shut down. The whole f****** Sudbury for that, right? Because it's supposed to do that run. So, yeah, I mean, At the shutdown Sudbury again for us to do that scene. It was 10. I mean it's one of the most important scenes out of the season. That's the finale, right? So is last thing, the last thing you see, yeah, yeah, we were down in Sudbury and September, and we got to like, visit a few of those places that doghouse and pepe paninis. And we went to the corner where you guys run down, it was some September. So there's no snow but it was still pretty cool at you know to check that out and like just imagine the production. Yeah, shutting down. That's Pretty major road that you guys shut down its every what time was this? Yeah. What time was, it was it like midnighters? And it was, yeah, that was a little bit late. I think it was like, brown 11 12. But I, if I remember correctly, it was on a weekend 200, absolute leave. So like the bars and s***. Yeah, and restaurants really closed if I am you know, correct me like I am not 100% sure on that but I pretty sure it was like a Saturday or Friday night or something. Yeah, but I could be wrong again. But yeah, it's definitely, you know, to shut down, you know, that whole section. I mean, yeah, for sure it's a So I will to two questions. One is really quick one, which we have asked everyone when you're having a stick bolt bowl or no bull, I guess it depends on where you're eating. If you're you know the bed you probably like to have a bulldog. No crumbs all over you but no I am not saying I am picking bull. I have all my 1600 free-handed, f*** freak. So say if you're eating sticking bad, I mean, first of all, well done. Like you're living here. You're living life, right? But yeah that's unlike the kids are in bed with as watching like a little cartoon or some s*** there. Yeah. Yeah. But a little Dijon moment eating your ice cream in bed while. Yeah. Yeah. But I mean it kind of sick kids. Still managed to make a mess anyway. So what it? Yeah. So I will go ahead Matt. As they say the other one I was curious. I mean we haven't talked too much about the relationship with you in the other guys like what was that? Like in terms of when you guys first met and how? I mean I know you said you Played. But outside of just shooting. What was the relationship amongst the guys there and throw the whole shooting cycle? It was good. We all got along very well, always hung out together on the weekends. No, no placement Max's basement. Yeah, that was, I mean, that's the only thing where we could go, but we had some f****** good times down there. We were almost even going to throw. Like we asked, I believe. I am pretty sure we ask production like Can we have like throw a party kind of thing? Because like it was just us right? I mean we still have fun with one invite people over and s*** and they agree with him. We'd they were even going to give us that covid test to test these f******. Yes. Wow. Yeah. Because we're kind of in a bubble, right? Yeah. So yeah, so yeah. But I don't think we didn't really invite a whole lot of people. Anyways, we kind of just stayed in our Circle but uh, Yeah, we with the relationship with the guys we all get along. We all hang out after have dinner, shoot this s***. Hang out in Terry's room, Terry likes playing music and host. And you know, NHL, you know, f****** tournaments day like on the TV like Xbox stuff, right? Right. Again, I am not a big Xbox player. Anything. So I sorry. Terri Terry's hosting Xbox tournaments. I think they had one tournament I believe. But yeah, he would blast some tunes and A few drinks and it's amazing. Yeah there is actually there's probably there's a funny story till I probably should tell you. There was one night. We came back from Max's, pretty f****** slaughtered, and we're going back to our rooms, and we thought like because we're all stayed on the fourth floor. So when we came back to his me, Terry and do Lo, and we're going back to our rooms and I went to go pop into this one room thinking it was, one of the guys is rooms because they were, you know, they were partying to I said, I will pop in and say hi. Anyways, just the wrong room because it latches like the latch was there. Like we all left latches are doors open with all making with each other ghosts each other. But we, I wouldn't knock on this door open. As I go s***. Wrong room. Sorry, like, oh, no, it's fine. Some shooting this s*** a little bit with the guys, and, and it's full of guys in there, like, they're partying. And I forget, whether even from kind of, like, thuggish or wannabe thugs, I don't know. And then we're walking back and then Terry the f****** guy. He's walking by, and he says f*** you. He says that to the room and he liked him. He keeps walking and he gets into his room. So now I am standing there at the door with four guys in the room. Somebody runs from the back. What the f***? Do you think? They run in front? And I am standing like thinking, like I am gonna be f****** throwing down with like, four or five, guys, thanks to Terry's big nose. Yeah. Like in front of this like hotel room. So, like for split sounds like what am I? A options. They can should I run and try to get in my room. They're gonna catch me. Anyways, try to f*** around with this card to try to get in, right? Is it? They're gonna get me in. So I said, well, I am just going to stand right here and as they come out the door, I am just going to keep, you know, swinging and then dolo heard all the commotion and just like the scene in the second or second episode of metal bar scene. He comes running and he shows up behind me. This top big f****** do lo, you know. Yeah. You stand there just look and then you can just see them kind of like this is slow in there all. Yeah, like holy s***. I looked at those like f***. Thanks man. I was like, I really thought like not thought like I knew something was gonna happen. I was gonna end up fighting them or trying to run away and still end up having to fight them. Well, I said I am not yeah, I had who'da thought. Terry Ryan was such an s*** disturber. Well I know you think you know, like He probably. Yeah, we're like again we had, you know, more than enough drinks, that night, it was late and stuff, so can't really blame me, probably doesn't even remember, but, um, he told the story of whatever but yeah, do a little f****** showed up, and I was like, oh man, that was, that was closed. Because last thing I wanted to show up, you know, on set with an f****** black guy or Other missing old and knows the knowledge. Yeah, that would have sucked. So we have a few questions from our listeners. First of all, you're going to be in Milwaukee soon for a special schwarzy night right along with dolo, is that correct? So some of our go ahead, no, no Ali, yeah, that's in February. I am just gonna say Yeah, in February some of our listeners actually went up from the US all over. The u.s. Went up to Sudbury for the shores unite, and they all, you know, got to meet Max in person. And took pictures and so a few of them are going to Milwaukee. So they're looking forward to it. So if somebody named Aaron or Chad come up to you for a picture, you know, we sent them so, you know, treat them nice. Oh, yeah. For sure. They're looking forward to it. So a few questions from our listeners, what was the best lesson a coach has taught? You could be hockey, MMA, whatever. Also, there be a chance to meet him an old. This is about Milwaukee anyway, so that's from our listener, Aaron. She'd like to know what, you know, what was the best lesson? Maybe you learned from a coach. I will have to off the top of my head. I mean, there's so many sure I have had so many good coaches. They say a lot of great things, but for one that sticks do they mean I will have to get back to you later? Okay. Yeah, that one at the end, I mean you were to sort yourself, right? You did some assistant coaching and hockey as well. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I like, yeah, I assistant coach to eat on that TV show. That same TV show, hit the ice and, and same thing running camps and stuff. But so like what I would say or somebody has said to me? Yeah. What some people said to me, right? Do you have to be a coach? It could be anyone who Mentor? Like again offered a piece of wicked advice it made me. Yeah it's something Jared told you about acting like yeah you know I mean I guess don't cut yourself short you know like When you, if you like save, you, people value, you sort of say, and you go and devalue yourself, you know, you're setting a standard to where they are going to look at you like that. You like, again, cutting yourself short, should never do that. Hold yourself, you know, be proud of what you have accomplished and yeah, obviously stay humble work hard, you know, the that stuff, I am sure everybody's heard but uh and give yourself the opportunity you know and if You're going to do it, do it right? Yeah, eyes. You're going to be doing it twice or essay, and I am sure saying yes even when you know, maybe you're not sure like that's what led you to shore Z, right? Like I am sure you weren't thinking I am gonna get on this hit Canadian TV show but here you are. Yeah, yeah. And you know, opportunity presents itself then you try your very best and that's all you can really do. And You know, the man upstairs will take care of the rest. It's good our buddy, Adrian. He asks about, you know, how you got into MMA? We have kind of covered that. We also covered. He also asks about the story of a delivering your son at home. So we have covered that one. So, thank you, Adrian for those questions. Tobias once he's interested in knowing what goodies background is in general. So do you get like, I mean, you got a script obviously, but did you get any kind of background? Like a character Bible for goody like, you know, You know what? No, not too much. I am like, they didn't have like a set character on unlike like, how he should be just, you know, he threw out one liners and the Native Garden. So I kind of got to make it, I guess a little bit, you know, have my own twist to it a little bit. So right remember Jared send me a text when he when the show was produced and no, he says, and again about that look in the cool things that just said A very good standard for goodies character and right, you know, the future, you know. So yeah. So I guess like I said, I had my own, I mean again, how much more could I do? I had I said settle down, unbelievable. Everything's I believe, right? I love chicken. You know and so like yeah there's that's pretty much it. So in the, you know, future Seasons hopefully maybe that character will open up a little bit more. Yeah. You will see more of yeah, his characteristics, I guess as awesome as if I please do more cooking videos on Instagram. Where are you doing cooking videos on Instagram fun? Probably I cook a lot of moose meat and care when I see them and you know like I am big into growing my own stuff. Like I have chickens, I have three cows. So I you know I like to know what I am putting into my body and stuff, so I liked it. And again, it's just stuff. I like to do a very outdoorsy so yeah, I can definitely do a few more cooking videos. Why not? You go. You got a fan base all ready for ya? Yeah. Yeah. I started up my own cooking show. Who knows this? Well, work for a Serge Ibaka. I don't know if you're a basketball fan but Serge Ibaka when he was a raptor. He started that cooking show on a YouTube channel that got a lot of eyeballs. So, oh yeah, there you go. Maybe well his stick those he got his teammates to come in and heat because he's African he would feed them weird s*** that he, you know, and yeah, tell them what it was until they ate it. So he, yeah, he would make his teammates eat like, I don't know, I bore testicles or something, I can't even remember where was right, but, but he wouldn't tell them anyway. I am not suggesting you should do that, too. No, I miss times already like maybe to Terry Ryan, but yeah, yeah, depending on whom you're cooking boy. Just don't tell him what's in there. Until, after the last, like, I have eaten a lot of Like, for some people, they might call a wild but sure, you know, porcupines are very good tasting meat. It's like the sweet meat. So if you make a stew out of it, it's probably one of the best students you will ever have, interesting. Yeah. Like Beaver, all kinds of stuff, like Hunter trap and whatever. Yeah my whole the whole thing behind you know Hunters you kill it, you eat it. You might just take that take a life just to take the life you know those guys that killed too. Iraq is, you know at the end you can't eat a rack for once and to it's theirs. It's not the right intention. I guess agree. Yeah, excellent. Our buddy. Don he wants. He's asking about a specific scene on the play, where the guy's contact ends up on your face. How planned was that? Because the laughs between you and dolo seemed very genuine while it was funny while because that hit, I f****** smoke that guy. Oh yeah, yeah, like he Remember, we ran to the play just, you know, two three times just to. So the camera would see where the point of contact. So we just skate by each other where the contact was going to happen and the stunt guy goes, I would rather it happened like you hit me once hard rather than do it a bunch of times and hit me like kind of softly, right? So I said okay and you know, when I was playing hockey I used to love nail and guys, yeah, open Ice hits. You know, so he has for. Yeah, it's so yeah. Clucking crank the And Blake. And the guys is reaction. They were like, they like, pulling all that s*** is real, you know, and those like the one take thing. Yeah, we got it. That's good. And I make, you know, hey man, you are right. And so like we're kind of giggly off of that and because we shot that scene, right after. Right. Yeah. So that was scripted. I wasn't something that I actually happened by accident or anything. That was what's the, the whole contact thing? That was part of that was our. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That was scripted. That's cool question for anyone involved its Shores, either comes on doghouse or townhouse Coulson or Pepe Lounge wing sauce and what wing sauce do you get a Wacky Wing so dog house or what was our town Rose townhouse? You guys weren't allowed out, were you so like yeah, not a whole lot. Like I went, we went eight at doghouse ones. I don't think I wanted townhouse or if I did which one's townhouses. That one with all the TVs and s***. We have never been, we have been to the doghouse, but we never went to town house, so I don't know. Okay. Yeah. What about Coulson or Pepe Lounge? I am gonna guess Pappy's. Maybe while free food. Yeah, well, colson's nice to they got the stripper poles. Are sure. But yeah, pepys definitely the foods, good. I haven't been to either one as them being open, so I can't really choose, you know, I am not from Sudbury, right? So I don't, I don't know what the vibe is on both those, and so we can have to wait for after the second season. I won. Congratulations. By the way, we're excited. I mean, kind of world's worst kept secret. We fully expected there to be At least another season but it's great to have it official. Yeah, yeah, it's going to be nice because we're going to go back. It's going to be a little warmer and things are opened up. So we're yeah definitely hit up a few bars, right? You know you will be able to answer these questions next time we have you on then yeah exactly. That's a man. As far as wing sauce goes I kind of like a little bit of spicy sweet. So maybe like a Thai, chili, chili, chili, or whatever those when I am are ya. Those are good. That's great. Always number one of my Hit List. Yeah, same here. Yeah. Matt. You want to ask you a question? Yeah, I mean I asked everyone, I mean like this is obviously your first acting role, a Canadian man indigenous, man. What when it's hit home that like Shore, Z being as impactful and the following and a has, I mean, how is it felt to you being a part of all this? Now looking back at all. It's an honor, you know, really. I think we can all say that like the big opportunity for all of us. And for me, personally, I come from like a very small remote community. So people are very proud like not just proud, but I am happy that, you know, show these kids that if I can do it then, any one of you guys, I know it sounds, you know, people say this all the time but for real like I can representation matters for sure man. Yeah, you know, and all these surrounding communities in the north, all these isolated communities, they really see that in a, you know, brings joy to them brings. Joy to me, you know? And you know, I spit still speak my language fluently and stuff. So when I go back there, happy to speak with me and amazing. And yeah. So, for me, that's, I am very grateful. You know, obviously foreshores and be having been able to be, I guess. It's sort of role model, sort of say, for some of these kids. And yeah, I give back as much as I can or the best way I can through what if we do with this charity? So yeah. Well, you're certainly doing your village proud and, and yeah, for sure you represent, you are going to ask you about some. Like, if you have anything to promote, want you to kind of remind us about first assist. And what you guys do with that, Yeah. So first assist is its a charity indigenous owned and ran charity. We focus on a lot of flying communities, we bring kids. We really combine the sports and education aspect to the thing. So we want to get kids in school but you know kids want to play sports but you can't just play sports. You got to have education involved, and so we use that Sports as a tool to Build good life skills. And, you know, get kids in school and, you know, give them opportunity if they ever do want it. If they do ever want to leave their community. No, they could get a hold of us. And we could set a triode up for them or, you know, stuff like that. So it's a whole lot of different Avenues if they want to check, I got a link up on my, on my Instagram page and it goes into detail, and we got some good sponsors where we get equipment. And we when we go up to these, Different communities that will be donated to the, you know, we saw that they have equipment to continue playing or when we come back up to they can be involved as you know as much as possible in the camps. It's great. And you mentioned your Instagram? Is that the best place for people to follow you? Yeah. Facebook is more like family. Sure type of thing. So, Instagram, I don't have Twittered. I, I mean, you know, I am not going to sit there and tweet and total my fingers there. Its sweet nothings, you know? I mean, it is like don't get me wrong feel that habit where you can pass on good information but it's just not my as waiting called. Yeah. Or Twitter's a cult? It's okay you can say yeah. And so as far as acting goes, I mean, have you gotten bit by the bug? Like do you want to do more be on Shore Z or you pretty good? Yeah, yeah. I figured like, you know, we did this one season. I would see what, what kind of buzz would happen around it and Maybe after the 2nd cheese and look more into it. I sat down and had dinner with one of the guys, actually the guy that plays Phil, the big duck, I don't know, even the Kohl Center whatever I had dinner with semi came to Montreal. He's a stunt guy, and he's talking to them talking me about if I wanted to get into stunts. Not because I have the background mme sure. Yeah, talky and different things like that. And yeah. So my Minds opened I guess. I am still learning a lot about the industry and definitely yeah like to wouldn't hate getting into other stuff. It's the it's a blast being on those show, you know so. Alright. Nomad you have any final questions? No questions just congrats, man. You know, so excited for what's to come and your continued success on Shore as a. We f****** love it, and we can't thank you enough for coming out and hanging out with us. We you helped us sign off on all the slight roster. Obviously — — the man Cell — the big guy won't come out and hang out with us one day. We're hoping one day. He will come see us you gotta work for him? Yeah. Oh man we have tried trust me. Yeah thank you so much Jack O. What Matt says Andrew for giving us almost an hour of your time very you know very gracious of you. We'd love it. It girl right now. So yeah, she's doing very well. Yeah for sure yeah I will run it by her right. Thank you. Appreciate that. We would see what you know I will take it. Well yeah we will take it.
