I took off with it, and then they all just stopped and like what you guys are lame now that you're into it, you want? To show the inside jokes, and they're already passed it. And then I believe scuppered you guys, I would seen on Twitter a couple times. She shared variously with Letterkenny answers, or memes, or one of the varying accounts I believe it was June. Of 21d one last year lasting basically. I feel like, yeah. I feel like, that's right. Yeah. Last summer, yeah. Very good. All right. Well I mean how are, you know? Yeah so we woke up the day was normal and then everything went to hell. I came back and internet was gone, and we quickly needed to get with a new game plan. So Al's roomies. Now, with Victor X, we have been hanging out all day today, and I am internet, and I am kicking it with the kids here. So it's been a jam-packed day. And I gotta say, my week is just all conveyor confuse dad, like yesterday, I felt like Thursday. Today's feels like Friday, Friday as just, all, I am again to very discombobulated. I am with you on that. Yeah, I don't know what happened this week, but it just doesn't feel like, but I went out with my girls. Oh my gosh, I went out with my girls for the very first time in two years, which is a very big deal for me. I yeah, I had a lot of fun and I got to hang out with my friends and get them. Some hugs that were long overdue and it felt really, really good. I know, everybody's probably already been there done. Lab. But yeah, just been taking my time and doing what feels right when it feels, right. So if you forget a chaser Victor's, got a handheld mic tonight. That's why he sounds so much better, but he forgets to hold it up. When he wants to say something. Yeah, I had a hell of an f****** day. The week's been pretty good overall. I won't get into too much. Detail. But what got into a bit of a spat with my ex-wife and that's always fun the weight. Let us that's all I can say because she can go south really, really quick, and I am walking talking example of that and you know the harder you try to control situations the worst s*** gets, I took it out on the couch, the old couch behind me here. Luckily, it's the old couch and I did listen, I totally recognize this is not a healthy. Behavior action. But I got really upset and I literally dismantled it with one swift kick. And it felt really good though, so that helped alleviate some of my day. But again, it's going in the trash anyway. So I recognize that I didn't take it anything good but it's been a day aside from that. It's been fun. I am waiting on a package. On the desktop, I am really excited. I was really hoping it was going to be here tonight, so I could show off sure package and That wouldn't happen either. We really were there. Yeah, yeah, I know. We're halfway, I am compensating, right, so about balance, so I will hopefully have an excuse to show. But I there's this company in Toronto called retro kid, and they basically, I feel like even on this call no one's going to really know what I am talking, but they celebrate that say the late 70s 80s, you know, Nostalgia stop. So I got this sweater from an old TV show called Camp Care. I am dying to put this thing on myself and it was supposed to be here, but the candidate posts effed up, the mailing and said, they delivered it but no one arrived. So, you know, I didn't have it tonight but I will have it for next week. Hopefully, I thought you're going to say leggings from Flashdance. No, not that's a good one though. I will recommend that to actually funny. We're talking about Beaver, Lumber last week or whatever. I reached out to them and said you guys need to do some show, some love to Beaver low. Umber and the guy lad, the owner laughed and said you know, we might do that later this year. Perfect. So yeah, it's believed that comes up. I can totally see that on the T-shirt, the beer line right below. Exactly. Yeah. They did like consumers Distributing recently by way, I think, I think through Brewers retail and a few other old TV shows and it's a great brand, and they're just crushing right now. So I think it's smart. I think they wait until the logos like expired, like the, the trademarks aspired so that yes, I can just use whatever. Do they want? So, it's pretty smart. Yeah. They're, they're just crushing in this brand. They're bringing bad. They're like a, they're just bringing back old fun stuff that people loved and I had to get on that wagon sighs. So, my son and I started watching the new season of the boys. Oh, I am so behind on some, I want to see Umbrella Academy. The boys, I don't think I am not going to say anything, give anything away, but you might want to watch the first episode. Just, you might enjoy it first episode of the new season of the boys. Oh, she didn't. She never got into the boys. Yeah, I just watched the first episode. In other words, there's the in it. I am sure. Lots of like lots. Lots of men. Frontal nudity. Wow, male. Yeah. What do you think of this series? Yeah I mean first of all we had a great game one you know looked like it. It looked like the ab squared, the we there. Yeah. It looked like the as were and controlling the first period, but that's the problem with the Tampa Bay can never count them out. They just come back and score that crazy. And that's something I am going to look into. I just, there's that ceremony trained firefighter. Sorry, you're a trained firefighter now, but to get my EMT certification to then get picked up and then gets sent through fire academy. Gotcha. So actually put my application in for that for the community college. To get that certification ice today. So we will see what comes of that. Yeah, nice, that's great. Um yeah I was just waiting for the camera to pan over Shore Z and I expected to see him cry because we have already received that tidbit of information. I also wondered if our friends in the u.s. Know that our national anthem is staying in both or many different ways. There's an English version, there's the French version and then there's the English French version. If there was any significance to the choir, that was singing? Like they were like a local band Sudbury or something of that nature. Probably everything on this show is so loving. They focused hyper and on. Yeah, Bri it's like a big Like Love Story to Sudbury and how they have been treated. Like, for like last 11 Seasons, it's like they're giving back to just celebrate the city through this show. Yeah, I am sure. So, I assumed it was a local something, but yeah, it was fine. It was great. Seeing sure as he cry was pretty hilarious, and he's a big sob and I loved it. I also loved the during the And how low the camera had to get after going from dolo to Shores. If you notice that it like, as if this person the whole thing shifted. Yeah, I loved it. But yeah. Yeah. So Shores that you were expecting to see him cry and a delivered, good point? I should have looked up to see if the that girls choir was anywhere. I don't even know where I would have started looking. But yeah so my little creepy yeah if I do a search girls choir know that would be not a good search to be doing. Yeah for computer. Your points stand like these have really been except for the first one. The first one was kind of Letterkenny cold open when we had that Sports kind of segment with a knick and the other would even. But even I would, I would argue that one as we talked about was setting the stage for the series. It was like there is a kind of gel much the story. Yeah, they're just like, let us set as much as we can up out of the gate so that we're not having to explain every little tidbit from here on out. Yeah. Right. And they have stepped away since you have That vicar I mean, not much to add. I mean it is what it is. I don't have an issue with the fact that it's not doesn't fit our, no definition of a cold open. As far as Letterkenny, goes there still intros that we get before the I guess the logo right along. There's no right. You notice there's no theme there's no opening theme like yeah there's no song but music playing. Yeah exactly. And in this case the yeah, it was just old can It or whatever? Yeah, yeah, so, I mean, again, back to the show that we sometimes reference to Corners Corner, Gas. They also started every episode with an intro, not necessarily cold open but an intro, it worked. It works here. I don't have an issue with it. Happy to continue to talk about the intros and let us move on. Yeah, sure. Joey, anything that's pretty much all of it. I do think like there was only 26 minutes. Yeah. Well — credits And I think the cold opens because there's so much to do generally with the story that it may see episode seemed longer like there's so much meat in the episode like today, this episode seemed really long. There's so much going on, I agree. Like the cold opens, don't take from that. They add to it. Makes it actually feel longer like a longer episode great. Yeah, good point, and we're going to see just how long this episode feel especially when you get to the my description of the hockey game coming up but first We open with seen one. Clearly got some Shock value there and that's what they're going for. I loved the Saenger, Shore, Z development and their story in this. In this episode I just Yeah, we talked about it and last time, I know, even crave, put up a post around, who's your favorite on-screen friendship, or do, or whatever they could relationship? Yeah, of course, they just took it to town on that one a little bit. They're continuing to grow and it's like, I was like, I like I was saying, was just so green and everything about this. And so innocent and doors, he just has him under his wing right there. Just, it shows these being surprisingly patient with them. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's, he's being sort of firm butt. Like he's still a dick, but he's supportive and this whole thing. And I think that's been really great and the handoff and that whole scene and even watch the Development Across the episode, by the end sanger's, confident has confidence has grown as he steps into that room and Nat and attendee. And those guys, he's just like, it's my guys now, like, I have got this. Yeah. So what you froze for a second there? But your back to, Let us, but we're okay. But yeah, I know I love is His confidence. It's why I came to Victor's house and not mats. Go on. Yeah it wouldn't work. I would love birds. A lot of fun. I agree. It feels long but not in a bad way by any means. There's so much going on the content and the story. --Eline that they're creating is just layers upon layers and it feels look. Yeah, it's super dense but it's got you at every moment and as looking at the contrast against like Letterkenny and I think there's the big difference is Letterkenny, didn't do a story approach. They tried it once Seasons seven and eight, and we even though we talked about we did it didn't really land really well with everyone. The story, The ongoing story perspective, but they have kept sort of their there. I will is to a degree and now they have added an ongoing story as working really well here, and we love it. Whereas Letterkenny is like a series almost like little sketches and scenes that they would play out and then it would end in the new episode start. You got this whole new series of sketches and scenes which those episodes flu because they were just very isolated to themselves and that was fine, but I am loving it. I am loving this, this ongoing story. I think they're doing a fantastic job of carrying it on and building it. It. So I am just looking forward to more and more. The one thing that I don't know where this is going to play in, but I feel like this is a setup for at some point. A future encounter is when Lauren showed up, Lauren stood up and a love her. Wow, beautiful. Be she made the comment about Quebec, never forgets. Yeah, so that to me, was so perfect and, and purposeful, whether they do it in the next few episodes or this get scared. To a future season. Assuming they renew, Quebec, never forgets. It's going to loop back at some point. I agree, I think you're right again, though, Jay, Jay seems unfazed. Arrived and it was like okay there's nothing there's like If you felt like something was missing because where we ended off and Letterkenny was not, it just felt like there should have been something control and ruin the damn group. Did say, well, they did come back and fight Shore Z, but they didn't like shorter Z or was Wayne had to do. Yeah. Yeah. Ended up coming intervene in an accident /. Alright you guys have covered a bunch of stuff, and so I won't reach read what you have covered. I will just want to talk about Shore Z the hockey genius for a second. Yeah, my new, you're getting this one. Go for the agitator, one of my least favorite and everyone's least favorite player unless you're in. Boston is Brad Marchand. He's a weasel. He's the guy, he's a dirty player. He Pisses everyone off. He gets in under everyone's skin, and he doesn't fight, which makes him even more pissed off because it seems like he's a coward that Shore Z in this game to a tee. But if you see what happens, he did it for a reason. Right from the beginning to the end and unfortunately and I hate to say this Marshawn, does the exact same thing. It's to get under the players skins and to make them make stupid decisions like in that face on Axl. Exactly. So the whole game long he was working on that apeldoorn player. The player just wanted Fight him, and he said no and if you even come near me, I am going to stick you. He's being a coward. But he's also still pushing his buttons and then right at the end there, when he needed to win that face off, he told the guy I don't even want to win this Faceoff. I am just going to cross-check you and yours in the teeth. And so when the, when the puck dropped, the guy in self-defense or expecting it to happen to himself, does it to shore Z and all shores? He cared about was winning that face off. So he took a cross-check to the teeth. To win that face off for his team to win. So he took it for the team. He took one for the team and then the whole play happened. Exactly the way he drew it out. So, on the surface you may think, you know, you may look at him and say he's a dirtbag and a coward and stuff, and he kind of still is, but he does it for a reason. He does it for a purpose and a lot. There's a lot of NHL players out there that I think back to I hated when Toronto played against them because they did the exact same thing. And in the end it seemed like they were winning which sucked, but yeah, that's, that's my point there. Laughter that quick to our, I think goes back to Letterkenny when Shores he slashes. JJ Bobby Clark's. Mm-hmm. And that, he kind of like knew what needed to be done. And I think this apeldoorn number three, because it was always the same one. For me this episode with this episode. I mean, I think the Arrived. And I don't need to compare to Letterkenny anymore. I think it stands on its own II, really do? I think it stands on its own. It doesn't need a comparison. It's not like better where it's just its own show. Sure. And I am fine with that. I feel like the episode was a Time Warp is, you know, we have all talked about it, but there's so much that happened. There we saw an entire hockey game. Yeah, like it wasn't it. Wasn't clips from a game. It was we saw an entire hockey game. It's not all the intermissions. Yeah, we see right at we had, we had the whole story from beginning to end and then there were still a whole other, a part of the episode that happened. Yeah, you're right. I mean, that this was not a 26-minute episode and yet it was, it was a weird Time whereby episode and but I still wanted more. Yeah, yeah. For sure. Then wanted to stop for sure. And let us go back to Scene 7. So that's the one where you're at. It's after the game we're talking about the game sticks and stuff like that. I am going to do a comparison that you're not going to like Seinfeld. So and yeah like out of left field and probably most listeners don't even know what the hell I am talking about. But in season one there was a there was an episode where Elaine and Jerry are talking about their they used to be boyfriend-girlfriend, and they're talking about maybe being friends with Benefits. Okay, and they're trying to kind of figure out how that's going to work and that dialogue and the delivery of how they're trying to say, wait. So you mean, we can have this and that, and they're trying to kind of work, work it through. It's exactly the way that Wayne was Triton Wayne, surely sure. So, let us not compare to letter, can just, you know why I said that do? Because in that, in that scene, he started sound. Like a Wayne than Shores, trying to figure it out. Yeah, exactly. Just because you never really see Shores. He think. So, so, so the way that he was trying to work it out and the way that he was kind of thinking out loud and saying this, and that it just for me, felt very, very reminiscent of that episode. Yeah. Okay, I can see that. But anyway, that's not a good thing or bad thing. That's just a little nostalgic thing. Sure, but my God, I love this show so much. I mean, this is the Letterkenny that I am 5 foot 11 Seasons. I mean, don't compare it to let her kid. Yeah, I know, but because I thought Letterkenny was Aki show. So. And this is, this is hitting all the right notes for a sports story, and I am thoroughly enjoying it. So it's a beauty, the one last count I want to quickly make which I meant to bring up before. Is anyone else feel that Shores he's banter is running at a slower Cadence than he did in Letterkenny a little bit. Yeah. But I think it started. Isn't it goes with his explanation towards sanguinetti about, like you're my buddy and everything and then like asking to help coach, I think he's kind of maturing. Yeah, he said, I just find. It's like, I like when he's rapping, even the attacks aren't as quick and as delicious as fast as. I mean, they're still just as vicious. But there it's like, he's slowed down. The whole flow of it. I don't know if that was intentional or just stepped away from Shore. Z4, B. Now, delivering and It's what we're getting. He's evolved from a caricature to a character, okay? You go to call it a bit it's a beauty. It's okay, so fresh, I give it a fresh to, it's a solid episode. There's nothing wrong with this episode and I really appreciate it all the inside, hockey stuff like that, game on the circuit. And by the way, that last play, how well shot was that how well edited was that? He described the play, like in the timeout and then, yeah, exactly. So like in terms of cinematography there was authenticity kudos to Billy on that one. Yeah they certainly stepped up. Yeah, on that category all around. It's so much fun is often shooting hockey especially because it's such a fast-paced. Lots of Quick Cuts, a lot of it is kind of dis Associated like one scene from another because it is so fast. Fast and whatever. But in this case it all made sense. Faced, a one-off was one. The pass was made. He got behind the defense and he scored it. I thought it was really perfectly done. I don't think we brought up the part that 10d went over, and he was in a truck with the big show. If they do get renewed and everything, if they kind of begin to stretch it out. But yeah, we will see because I think it's all been a storyline, right? I don't think there's been any kind of be story, so maybe like me and sanguinetti a little bit. Maybe start something.
