For the Hicks, things are about to get rougher. The gym is crawling with chest poppers, but there ain't no good reason because it's Bush party season and Wayne will show them who's tougher. And that means we are once again hanging out at the produce stand on past, paying tribute to the Great Canadian showed Letterkenny. Now I know what you're thinking, there are many other podcast of other Kenny out there, but this one is just between us girls. I am Al your host and joining me in the room. As is always lovely 10 you and online. We have squirrely, Matt, the chest puffing, Victor, and joining us this week. He's a listener. A frequent contributor to our Twitter, DM group, a patron of the podcast, and we know nothing about him, but we're about to learn more. Please join me in making some noise for Trace. My dress. Oh my God, or do I even knew when to not to step in? On the, on the soundbite, they're welcome to the podium produced and Trace holy, I am having a hard time already. It's one of those nights Trace. Where are you? Where are you speaking to us from? I am in. Well, tackle Olive Branch Mississippi, which is right across the state line for Memphis, Tennessee. This is gonna be nice. And what are you doing, Mississippi? I sell automotive parts for those who drive truck, very nice, very nice. And I mean, how's the weather there right now? How are things? It's it was 74 degrees today. I don't know what that is in Celsius. I apologize. It's warm enough. Actually, today was it was around that here today. So I am not sure whether here in Canada, no complaints. Yeah, we had son and there was those pretty warm. So, thank you for. I mean you're here because you're a patron, and we appreciate you and your newest Patron. So, thank you. Where did you discover Letterkenny? It's kind of embarrassing. But my since I was little, I have had a deep fascination with Canada and Canadians. That's so weird. A thing about the f****** embarrassing, it's just weird that you're saying that because we're finding more and more Americans like that. So how did that happen? When I was about six or seven? I found SCTV. And I was like, these people are hilarious and I love the way they Left and I fell in love with Canadian comedy. At that point between the folks on SNL and Kids in the Hall. Always had a thing for that, and they almost lost me. And now, you will appreciate this. They almost lost me on a trailer park. Boys, I could not get behind that. Show that at all, back in October. I got covid. And hey, We're stuck in the house for 10 days and I came across Letterkenny, and I was like this is the most brilliant thing I have ever seen. That's amazing. So you're pretty recent then October. That wasn't that long ago, right? Not too long ago at all. Yeah and you must be so you have been through the whole thing. Oh yeah, jumped in both feet and then you can get enough of it. So you started looking for other Letterkenny pot content, is that how you found us? Yeah, well I was like hey I bet there's a podcast about that. So I go searching for the podcast and when I go to a Mexican restaurant I like to see Mexican folks working there, and I was like, so I got this. Can this podcast has Canadians, that's awesome. Yes. I mean we as much as we love our buddies over on, how are you now? We appreciate that. You. You want some authentic points of For the show. Exactly. Exactly the Canadian breakdown. Yeah, very nice. How are you know? Alright today's lineup is going to be Victor Matt Tanya out and Trace. Victor how's your week's been pretty crazy. It's my final week before my new gig next week and today was the big finale where my team is kind of surprised me with a bit of an event, and they gave me some presents and had some You know, words and all that kind of stuff. So it was in a video as you. You're familiar with those videos out the goodbye. Thank you videos. So it was just a really nice day and but I am a little distracted because, you know, just in the pre-show, I realized that every single quadrant of this podcast owns a washboard guitar. So, that's what I am thinking about now. That's right. Yeah. That's, you know, so I was a little distracted by that tidbit. Fun info. So they made a video for you. That's great. Didn't make them for me. You know why they didn't make one for me? Because the guy who usually makes them was me. Yeah. Yeah, no. For sure. And it was like, it was, it was this nice lady that she's the one that put the video together. Nobody even knew that she had that Talent. You know, she's an administrator and like it was. Yeah. It was, it was a very, very touching. I was surprised. And, and yeah, it was, it was nice. So do you start the new gig right away? Next week or do you have some time off? No, I am diving headfirst whatever they say on Monday morning. So yeah, no, no. But what I found out is that we're getting six additional days off this year through the, so each long weekend, they're giving us an extra day. No, no, it's amazing what a weekend and the weekend in July, like July 1st, or whatever, we get to take an additional three days either before or after the weekend. We're getting six days altogether so you. Yeah and that's start and the four-day weekend is coming up was in the end of next week. So I am going to get a little time to breathe after kind of being thrown into the fire next week. So nice. Yeah, Matt, how's your week, been productive? We sold for bikes, and I was still on that, are you? I have got five more in the garage. I am picking up another one, the one I am picking up tomorrow morning, I am actually Really excited about. It's like an old vintage fixed speed Cruiser style but it seemed like great, great f****** condition. So I am getting that one for 50 bucks, and I am just excited my mind. It's funny. I have gotten to the point where I am actually getting passionate about it, so I guess I see these some bikes I actually get excited to just get my hands on them and then like we're going for a little ride, and I am going to turn them around selling the next day but I do know it's been kind of fun but so that's been paying off way more than you guys. Keep making fun of me for this s*** but I am doing quite well. Y'all know there was a market for reusing. Well, there is now for during the pandemic, once the pandemics over the bubbles, Bubble Burst for that, there was a market for it. It's insane. It really is. And we're just capitalizing. So I am okay with it. That's great. I built a shoe cabinet or that's what I posted on the Twitter. Feed at that, shoe rack for the wife. So it's in, its final stages and just needs to be painted now and that will go on our hallway. It's the biggest. Damn, Chirac on the planet, but it will hold Did you, did you have to disassemble it halfway through because you realize you have built it around your leg, one job, you could get it to your door or something. Yeah, no extra careful this time, and no objects in its way and then I recited my lawn or part of my lawn or just a strip of the lob, either way felt productive. Yeah. Sounds like a very productive week event from the whole lawn to just like a section of it. He's covering it with bike stuff. Hey, my aim high, right, Daniel. How was your week? It has not been a fun week. I ended up having a visit to the hospital and it up having an infection that I needed some antibiotics for and some attention and the my work did layoffs like the next day so it's been a pretty s***** week and I don't swear much but it's just been an s***** week but feeling better. So hopefully looking forward to this for some laughs and having some fun. It's great. I mean, not great about the laugh, but he's so wait. Did you, did you miss the layoffs because you were in a hospital? Yeah, I know right now it was dated two days apart from each other but yeah, business is having a hard time still getting over all of this and having a difficult time and so Victor, I like how your company sets up the vacation. So I am just going to send you For what I can do. And hopefully that fits somewhere and his resume soon. Sounds like a plan. We are. We are looking. We are looking for to fill the position right now. Jenny always says she wants to do what I do. So there you go. Victor, maybe you can train her, and I am very trainable. I just not so much with the internet. Well, there's a problem there. There might be an issue, since we're all kind of big deal in the world So my week was pretty uneventful. I mean second week in the new gig, just still meeting all the new team members and getting the lay of the land. And I can't think of anything else. Exciting that happened this week. Other than, I mean, we had we celebrated Mother's Day on the weekend, and I know that happen met up with, with my parents and tangiest, parents, and mean the kids made pancake breakfast for mom here. And that was that, was it pretty uneventful week, just kind of, you know, Getting through to it. Well, we got new bikes. Oh yeah. We did get a new bike. So I know a guy, well, I do know a guy, he's my dad, so my dad does exactly what you do. He buys him up used, and then he fixes them up, and he sells them except he's not flip, right? We have actually had a guy but I have crossed paths with a couple flippers. You can tell we had one guy show up 19 by a road bike off me. And he tried to haggle the s*** out of us. We didn't budge took a he's like all this is for me. And then the next day I had a different bike. Same dude, showed up again, is it? Oh, this one's for a friend, like, dude, just you're clearly flipping bikes to what? What kind of name, Mr. Because you're well, our bikes were free because my dad fix up a couple. He said, you guys need bikes is like, yes, we need bikes. So he brought us over a couple of lines of New Year's bikes and yeah. So we got new bikes this week, so. Yeah. I guess that's, that's exciting. The beautiful bike Trace. How was your week? Mine was pretty uneventful but the most exciting thing and in Memphis there's a the bridge that crosses the Mississippi River turns out. It had a big crack in it. Oh Tom, and we have had to shut down the major thoroughfare across the river. Oh s***. And that might be down for a few months. So that's the exciting moment in our town today. Now, that is that, so now that bridge is out, where's the next closest Bridge? Across the river. Is it pretty far away? Or we actually have two Bridges, but the one that broke was the six line bridge. This other ones for lanes and you got to go about 100 miles in either Direction. Please. Jesus. Oh my God, the next bridge over your fairy. It's therefore, yeah, there's got to be a fairy, right? Oh no. We had after areas in about 40 years now isn't there a paddle boat that goes up and down? The Mississippi I smell a new business opportunity, an opportunity? He's pretty long. I have been I went all through the state's two years ago. We went to Nashville for a couple nights and went all the way down to New Orleans and so right on the Mississippi there. So it's a long f****** River, man. And there was a, there was an old fairy about there though. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. They will they're mostly tourist attractions as more so than in usable boats roof. Very nice. Well, I don't know about you guys, but I could use a coffee denied tenure. Would you like a coffee? Yes. Victor. Would you like a coffee? I could have a coffee. Matt. Would you like a coffee? I am surprised. I haven't coffee right now. Great. Because as you know diabolical coffee is now being served at the produce. Stand. It is devilishly good coffee and diabolically awesome swag. There's a roast for all tastes and even some you didn't know you wanted. You can order whole bean course and standard grind and espresso. Or if you like is you're like tang and me there's a K-Cup option. For single cup Brewers. I know that's not environmentally friendly, but, you know, we make them as they ordered and for the duration of season, six of our podcast, you can use the promo code produce, stand for 10% off anything. In this store that's 10% off all coffee and merch. So, thank you diabolical coffee for your support this season Trace. Are you a coffee drinker? I apologize. I am not. You know, it's okay, it's all good. I mean, it's not for everybody. And speaking of support, we have 52 new Twitter followers. I am just going to read half of these because I want to get things rolling here. So, welcome to Nordy by Nature from Salem. Oregon Trail, Hawk 97 Molly. The these now let us just do this. Knowing Fox Nicola. Won't catch from delw. Randy Heller from Fargo, Steve Johnson from Ontario bow. Ian Fallon from Chicago, Eric Ursula, O'Hara JS. From New Jersey Jared, Murray for New York Blaine Conley, Kimberly Global from Northwest lower Michigan yak-yak-yak from Central Florida and Jacob Miller former Legend from People's Republic of Illinois. Thank you all for following and for hopefully listening to the last week we re Captain reviewed the first episode of season six. What could be so urgent that episode received two clearance rating from Tanya, Chad and myself and a compost from Matt and Victor. The two new besties no fresh ratings were given. Try to Scientific Twitter. Poll 53.8%, gave it a fresh 38.5, gave it a clearance and 7.7 gave it a compost. So you know it wasn't as overwhelmingly fresh from Twitter either this week we recap and review the second episode of season six Bush party. Victor have you done your homework? I have Matt have you done your homework with lots of time to spare this time? Oh wow. 10. You have you done your homework twice? Yes we watched it twice in a row and Race. Have you done your homework? Five times? Wow. So there's dedication, he is. He's ready for this. All right, so we start with a cold open. Its at the farm. The Hicks are discussing an incident. Where Wayne thought his dogs Gus. It had a stroke so an idiot. Oh, nice little f***. This is it kid, it's all f*****. We get on the needle. They're going right for me too. He's okay, goodbye. So f***. You dig a hole. Better dig a big one. I am getting in there with them, but it's all been sorted. It's all sorted, but I f*** there. Yeah, we ought to leave this world behind. That's what I said. You knew that he was on bladder meds for the last three weeks, talking Geezer, and that he'd be passed in the bladder stones, sometime around now and to expect some odd behavior. You still go, the worst case scenario, nice little f***. This is it. And what was the verdict class and bladder? Stone, exactly. Just passing some bladder stones were f****** everyone. Here, Katie thinks Gus fake the stroke, so he could go to the vet and get a thermometer up. The bum. Wayne seems bothered by this notion. Look if Are coming. You better. Come correct. Well, look how stormy response to a thermometer up the bomb hates her life. No time for an ugly, they're either more time for a tunic. Like there's no such thing as the three knuckler, which we have established see, you know, to even the sight of a thermometer send him scrambling. Yeah, God. Help the veterans thrown up there up Seto bum that, right? I got that one back. What are you saying here? Katie I am saying that Gus is look you're coming, you better come correct. Gus is gay, Wayne disagrees, he goes back and forth with Katie. She asks him if he's ever seen. Gus mount a female. Wayne says, it's just because he's a gentleman, Katie goes on to remind Wayne that, he's mounted, countless males, weighing retorts that Gus would Mount the, the hot tailpipe of his quad. Katie asks Wayne what if Gus is gay? What's the big deal Wayne insists? He doesn't care. If Gus is gay. Katie asked the others, none of them care squirrely. Dan tries to refer to something Professor Trisha had said to him but is quickly cut off by Catie Wayne reiterated reiterates that he doesn't care. If Gus is gay, just Don't tell McMurray because he gets weird about that stuff. He's fine with it, he just gets weird talking about it. Katie asked him to elaborate. So the Hicks go on and go on to imitate McMurray on the topic of being gay. I want you, you know, but he's got your street, she is got your day and from what I am told is they're here to State, just keep it away from me because I ain't want you. Hello, L the wife over the curb. I don't like being told what to do myself. They're either just got your street. You just got your day. Boy, do I love my wife and of oh she loves me from what I am told is they're here to stay, but they were near me. I want you but you know, you can think of q but you know, you're good enough guy. I see we both like take t-shirt, but we can have a beer, nothing else was going on, but she been never down. Coon ever been down to the Dominican been down? Keiko got to go down. The kick, goes your redundant Coastline using the Florida Keys. Florida Keys for deform. He's plenty of use down, Key West. Hello. The Key West is the best when I use down. Mammy, Jimmy, don't Bobby. I have been down to Miami. Where he goes on to say, I guess he does always spring and that red rocket when he's up in your lap. So that was in the cards, and we cut to the theme. All right. That's the cold open. Victor. What did you think of that? It was funny. It was hilarious. I it was you know what it just it's like us. They went just a little longer than they needed to like at the end when they went in, and they went off script almost like, okay. Now let us just start improvising and saying goofy things, right? Because it had nothing to do with the whole conversation with a starter with. So I thought like if they kind of finished 15 seconds earlier would have been It was just dragged on a little long where I started wondering, Hey, where's this going? What's going on now? They got carried away with their McMurray and I don't look, yeah, little a little carried away with McMurray. So if they had it 15 seconds short, it would have been perfect. Matt, would you think I am going to say this was honestly, one of my favorite could open, really? Yeah, I f****** loved it. Like, from the initial topic and, and Wayne being sort of emotional mess of flip-flopping between whether he was full. Be supportive to call him an f****** Geezer and like he was all over the map there and super passionate about, you know, especially when they started challenging his sexuality and like how he reacts. I mean it just that all made me laugh and then right into the McMurray thing, I thought it was so spot-on. I could picture McMurray doing that whole thing, tight t-shirts lying going back and forth and Victor I hear you where they may have dragged on too long. But I have said this before with there's a few scenes, or they have done it perfectly where you I am and I literally was like crying laughing from start to finish. With one small Gap in, this is why I loved it because I laugh and then I started to go, okay? This is getting old, and then they kept going and it pulled me back in. And I started like dying again, and I am like, that was such a fantastic scene. So this hands down was one of my favorite cold opens of the entire series. Wow, High Praise tenure. Would you think I absolutely agree with? Matt, is like it is. Absolutely my number one cold, open it. It was so, Grape from the, from the beginning of it. The whole, you know, this is it with Wayne and Gus and just kept on saying this, is it, this is it. And yeah, you better get, you better dig a deeper like it was just, it was so funny. The three knuckler call back, it was just the profession, Professor Trish, when Katie shut squarely, Dan down it. He's just there were so many and it just kept on going and it was just one after another and it was all just gold. Okay. Wow. High Praise from mad and Tanya, I enjoyed it. It was a fun cold open. It wasn't one of my favorites. It was Simpson may be a top ten. I don't even know if I would go that far, but it was good. Like it was a song called open. There's nothing wrong with it, Victor, they did go long, but I think what they did was they went from For making fun of McMurray talking about gay to just making fun of McMurray in general like talking about minikin and talking about vocal stuff. Right? So yeah and I guess they had a lot of gold and a lot of fun makes a lot of the poke fun of. Yeah. So yeah it was just fine. Yeah. You could have been a little shorter. Maybe so I agree with you there Victor. But yeah, it was just. Okay. Trace, would you think? I thought it was probably when my top five. Yeah, cold. Open ball time. As someone currently dealing with a kidney stone, I feel Gus's pain like currently, like, are you passing on right now? Do you need to know spree through it? Because that's, that's dedication, man. I tell you like, we appreciate you being here but by all means go, but I am with you on that one. Katie is so hyper aggressive to Dan? Oh yeah. About Professor Tricia, and I am like, wow, there's some pent-up frustration there about something. Yeah, she sent down. Pretty, pretty aggressively there, but I like the way they pivoted from Gus being gay do McMurray and it just turns into the stream of consciousness of McMurray and it's like wow this is Hypnotic. Yeah but it was hilarious, I thought was great, my favorite little line that they're doing when they were making fun of McMurray. Wasn't he say II? See you enjoyed tight shirts just like I do? But yeah. It's a I am not one of them, not one. Yeah, it's really funny. All right, moving on to scene, one out. Add the Jim Wayne and dairy are dropping Marie Fred. And Nick off at the gym are rallying Jonesy come out. They asked Wayne and dairy if they're sure they want their snipers cruising the gym unattended, it's a chess puffer convention in there. Dudes walking around with watermelons under each arm. There he isn't worried and Wayne says, there's no reason not to trust her until she gives you one. Riley and Jones are impressed with the Hicks mature approach to their relationships. Their yes. Rylann Jonesy. If they're going to the bush party tonight they are, and they asked the Hicks if they're going the hexer hosting it. So Perhaps rally and Jonesy inform Wayne and dairy of their bet with Ron and Dax about, who can get the most takedowns, Wayne sarcastically. Praises them for their maturity, on about relationships, Riley and Jonesy informed, the Hicks of a chest puffer in the gym. Who's claiming to be the toughest guy in Letterkenny, this causes Wayne to clinch. It was the toughest guy in Lanark a be. Here we go. Now, just give me a heads up more to that. Suckers are fair game at Busch party. Yeah, like if you see a dude, give me the stink-eye best. Just walk over there in soccer. Yeah, because like least thinking about soccer and you might want to get soccer. Now, we know the rules that a bush party boys. All about the W's had a bush party, boys. And I asked how that's how many had a bush party joined by, and Tyson come out of the gym and also let Wayne know about the chest popper and his claim to being the toughest in Letterkenny. They all agree to watch each other at the bush party, to make sure no one gets sucker punched, the Hicks, leave rallying Jonesy the Hicks leave and then Rollin Jonesy. Make fun of it. Just popped for as he enters the gym. They congratulate each other on their expert. Beeping butter then interrupted by Shore, Z, who gives them a taste of their own medicine. Only Shore Z Style All tension, over there with a knife. Give your balls or tug Ted f***. F*** you sure. Is he put a shirt on. F*** your eyelid go scoop it off your mom's bedroom for me. She gives my nipples butterfly kissing, occu Shore, z4q. Jones, your mom shot come straight across the room and killed. My Siamese fighting fish through off the pH levels in my aquarium. You piece of s***. Oh man, it goes on and on, I had to cut that one. A little short. We have lost mad. I hope he comes back. He has internet weeks. Suspect are magnets. Yeah, well we will continue without him for now. Seen two gay and rolled or in a kitchen. They're adding green dye to small vials of GHB. That's it. Roldy just enough to turn it green. I never thought I would be able to put a wholesome spin on drug-dealing, but here we are. GHB is the best party drug when used properly. So like it's like the chattiness of good, blow the fork, Hive good and no way. I am had to come down no way and you keep your appetite she kind of just flail hopefully but when used improperly it's the date rape drug. Yeah. That's why we put green dye in it, in case some Financial District, charged with contentious and tensions tries to slip it in some girls drink. She will now. Rolled would love to try it, but gay says she likes sober old, and she likes sober gay. So it seems like they have gone clean suddenly from another room. We here, Stuart calling out to GE. GE says, she likes to sew Birds to sober Stewart. So she goes over to the bedroom and it we see Stewart tied to the bed gay, joins him a little production note here. When you see Stewart, he's actually gagged. So the fact that he called out to her Cyrus and I call you. Yeah, I don't know whether you guys had noticed that, but I don't know if it's like, just Loosely gag. But when she pulls back the drapes, he's got a he's got, you know, he's muzzled. So I am not sure how he called it to her muzzled, cm3, and Nick and Marie Fred or at the gym on exercise bikes couple of chest poppers, see them and approach them, but they quickly get turned away by Marie Fred in a Nick, and they accuse them of cross dust trap crop dusting. The place got to wane and dairy in the barn. They continued their between us girls conversation from the Us episode. Got back to the French girls, were having the same conversation, the scene Cuts back and forth between the two chats. I am a little bit concerned about my electrolytes because like, they're little bit depleted. You got to stay hydrated, back to a Meek and Nick and Marie Fred who Marvel at Wayne and dairies remarkable battery life. There's not there's no quit there, and they could mitts that. Sometimes she isn't even in the mood, but she just suggested seeing if he can go again, and he does every time then, Go back to the boys. Look, if you're peeing and clear, you're not hydrated. Just got approach this thing. Like a marathon are throwing so much hip, and this sort of weather is a great way to get heat. Stroke your red heat stroke. Oh, you don't want to back to the girls were talking about how Wayne and dairy are laborers. Essentially they know hard work if there's work to do, they just do it. No questions asked, do what you love and you will never work a day in your life and make wonders at the boys. Talk about the same as that same stuff as them re Fred doesn't think they go into much detail. They just talk. About whether or not they got laid. I don't mean to bring this up your back door like this or anything. No, for friend us for help you help. I am not complaining. I know you buried that this just between us girls. Gives them, just tweet us girls girl talk. Whoever did that by Saturday morning type skills campaign nice but let us get the f****** bubble tea. I love you. These switches gear so quickly nice but let us get some bubble tea. Seemed for rolled Stewart and gayer at the nightclub, a group of women approaches, a guy by the bar. They noticed their drinks have turned green, they give the guy s*** because he told him he'd watch their drinks. He insists he did but the green evidence clearly shows that he didn't. Why are they green? Someone put g in them? Jeez, not dream. No it isn't. Yes, it is. And you shouldn't sell that stuff anymore. It's not safe. It's not supposed to be safe. Drug doesn't matter. Anyway no one will buy it from that way. Let us go. Find you selling the green stuff. Whoa, what somebody else is selling it here. Whoa. Yeah. And keeping us safe some Vigilantes s***. What A girl asks you to watch a break, what's the f****** great? F****** idiot. The women, leave the Dealer's arguing with each other Stewart. Rolled in gay watch, from a distance scene. 5 in The Farmhouse kitchen, the Hicks along with joined boy and Tyson, prepare for the bush party, Wayne gets a call to inform him. That the chest puffer is coming scene. 6 at the bush party. The party is in full swing. The Hicks. Make their entrance almost immediately. Someone goes to suck. Duane. But Tyson intercepts, someone comes at him from behind but joint boy, takes care of him. Cut to a group of young Men in Tights, two males. And two, females looking very out of place in their traditional clothing, they disappear into the bush and moments later reappear in more secular dress, the girls are immediately approached by rallying Jonesy. In the boys are approached by Ron and Dax Marie Fred notices this and asks what's happening. What's going on their takedowns? I look a bit know the Amish girls. And now they're not on this, their men in it. What's the difference? And a nice can use cars and electricity which can men and a Knight Riders schmell. He's there in this period of their life called Rumspringa where they can just carry on like the rest of us for a while. Call us the English. Yeah. Where the anguish World, we have been called worse. Then go to parties and be s******** without any consequence from their parents. They can still go home and have a bed to sleep in no matter what. Why? Just let him go be shut heads. Well, it's help them decide whether or not they want to stay English World permanently or go back to Mennonite world and be with their families. What's in Lebanon? I world, oh, lot of Turin, great pride, and Community generations, and generations of inbreeding. How many stays in the English World? Feel the same do know. Some. Do Katie say, this just is the Mennonite girls disappear into the butcher with Riley and Jonesy and the guys disappear with Ron and docks scene. 7 Stewart, rolled in gay, are dealing a bunch of the green g. Rolled isn't being too subtle about it though. So, Stuart and gay asked him to tone it down. Don't be so don't draw so much. Attention to stuff around an Escape. You fail your transaction. I am down for transaction. Keep your dealings. Disclosed let us maybe made nuts you guys on the green g. That's always a pleasure. This is some vigilante Tracy going crazy there. Yeah, rolled fails miserably at being covert the other drug dealers. See them dealing the green g. They don't look too pleased scene. 8 back at the bush party Wayne's Challenger. Finally, approaches and challenges him production note. The Challenger is played by Justin Howell. He's a stunt man who's worked on many of the Avengers films, including like, Infinity war and game, The Punisher One-Eyed Jack's as well as many other The films and television shows. So that's press guy's legit. Yeah, he's, and he's a big guy, holy crap. Marie Fred Cox Wayne's arm, and the fight Begins. The Challenger is much bigger and stronger than Wayne. And at first, he gives Wayne some trouble, but Wayne fights back then, a few bystanders, try to step in to get some shots in that Wayne, but they're handled by Tyson and joined boy, and even scrolling down and dairy, Steppin leaving Wayne and his Challenger to finish the fight, which Wayne finally does. After knocking his opponent down, when goes to help him up. That's him on the back, and they walk off together to have a drink, and we Fade to Black All right? Now before we get started with discussion here, I just want to remind you all. We're going to do a new game tonight and that we're all going to write down what we think Victor is going to say. Alright what Victor is going to who Victor's going to give the MVP to? So while we're having this discussion make sure you write it down at any point and then it is after picture gives us MVP. We're going to compare notes. Okay. Now Victor, what did you think of this episode? No ratings. Just Initial thoughts. I don't know. I am conflicted with it and I don't know because, you know, this is episode 2 of season 6 and episode 1, didn't kind of hit, you know, didn't kind of rise to kind of our expectations of our Letterkenny Universe expectations, right? And I am not sure that this episode kind of set us back on track, like, that cold open was You know I agree with all of you guys like it was a just a killer open with some, you know, with some, you know, that ran a little long for me. But it didn't like after that it didn't get better. Like it didn't do. I can't think of a storyline that I was terribly intrigued by in it. There was really there for me, there were pockets of laughter, the whole thing with the skids, there was, you know, some funny bits their doors, funny bits all over the place. But this there wasn't anyone story that I was like super intrigued with, and I am I guess, and I am not getting tired of it, but it's like that big fight. Every, you know, we all knew I was going to turn out and there wasn't anything. There, wasn't any real drama around it, just because it's kind of encapsulated inside one episode. It's not like, oh, this is going to be the big thing like in season one that there's no tough guy, new tough guy in town, and it kind of opened and closed with it. And that's, we're never going to probably hear about it again. So anyway. So that my first impression is like, I wasn't allowed, okay? Matt, what do you think? I could not disagree more. Thank you. Yeah, I mean we were, we are completely aligned last week Victor this one. I think, I think you're wrong this one. Okay. So again, you know how I feel about the cold. Oh, but I thought it was, it's in my top for sure. It was, it was amazing. I thought it was so well, written. I thought it just played out so well, what I really loved about this episode, I mean yes, be on the cold open. I didn't laugh constantly. I thought the overall flow. When the Cadence of the episode worked really well, there was a lot and nothing going on all the same time. If that makes any sense, but what was going on? Had my attention. So even this kid stuff I thought was great because you know, we only saw a glimpse in the first ones were like what the hell is going on? So we got a little bit more of them like tan, you called a lot of lots of call-outs and this episode and there're times I get annoyed by the college because I feel like to throw them in just to throw them in, but they actually worked in this time between us girls thing. It cracks me up. So I thought those the play, the way they did that, you know, they keep sure to the French language on the one bouncing back to Wayne and dairy on their side and then throwing a little short as the on the side. It just they're all there and I loved it and then yeah. Right at the end we get our first glimpse of the Mennonites and where that's going. As I know there's lots more fun to come with that. I just felt it was a very well-rounded episode from start to finish and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Okay Tanya. Yeah. I agree with Matt again, it was a great episode. I really feel that this one did a lot better showing the relationship between Wayne and Maria, Fred. I loved their relationship and how they play off of each other and the whole arm caulking, the arm guns. And you know, her going into the gym and him going into battle and even how they took a drink, and he passed the bar. Bottle to her. And there were so many little moments that they shared even though the story wasn't about them. It just kind of showed another level to their relationship. I also want, I want a survey for who references throwing hip. I have never heard that as a sex reference before and I didn't know if that's just a me thing or is that an everybody thing? Okay, it will be at a survey this week. There you go, throwing I have never heard of it before, but I have never heard of it either, but I love the reference. Like it's not crude, it's not, you know, having sex. It's not f******. It's not it. I like the reference to keep going. What other references applicable in this situation? I love her. It's a very farmboy kind of thing like this throwing hay, but in this case throwing hip. Yeah, it's a, it's very kind of what it feels like a Wayne reference. Like it's not crude, it's very three. It's a, it's a safe way and a playful way of talking about it, but not talking about it. It's Tracy. Had you ever heard of throwing hit before? No, I thought that was y'all's thing. Yes, never heard of it. I would be a little thing. It's not me. Like I get what they're saying. It's definitely better than what was that other one spitting? I have never heard of spitting as being a throwing up, but anyways, Love them. Maria Fred. I love the build-up to the fight. I love that. I just it was a great. It was a great episode. Hmm, great episode. Let us see, my thoughts, it was short, it was a really short episode only 19 minutes. That's why we watched it back-to-back twice last night because my son without captions on it was a super short episode. So as much as so the cold open to me was just it was good, it was just okay. I think here's where we're going to get into where seasons 6, 7 and 8 have a different tone from season 3 4 & 5. Because I think this is where we start getting more continued. Continued story lines like this one here, definitely picks up the story from the previous episode. You know, because they talk about the bush parties which party in the previous episode, it does definitely picks up the Wayne and Marie Fred relationship and Seymour relationship Wayne, so I told you guys this is going to be a different side of when we're going to see a lot more wide-eyed Wayne, and they're kind of you know, cute to like really cute to a fault in terms of like cocking their guns and all that stuff is like just kind of sweet and you know sickeningly sweet kind of interactions between the two of them, so they seem perfect for each other. I am surprised that Victor you don't think There's much of a story here because especially the green g story, I think is a good story and it's one that's going to continue. So and I thought that's a really good story for storyline for the skids, and we will see where that goes. But I appreciated that, I appreciate the, the storyline of Marie Fred and Wayne, I think there's a lot of this, this episode is, even though it was short was heavy on story, maybe not as funny as other episodes, but definitely, I think heavy on story. And character development Trace. What you think? Hi. I thought it was a great episode, and I was in complete agreement with y'all last week that was not the way you start a season, right? The I love the cold. Open the part of the gym. I thought was hilarious expect success especially when They mentioned the toughest guy, the Letterkenny and Wayne's, but just go and kiss. I thought that was hilarious and Shorty who always works best in small. Doses was a great small dose of Shores and although it was a little longer dose than I would have liked that, it wasn't on the toilet, but it was all good. Yeah, fair enough. But he did, he did purpose shot at the bot, the top of his, one of his pull up. And I really think that on this one rolled is really coming into his own as a character on the show and not just as seasoning, but as I actual character, I love him. Miss. hearing all the name, and I was the lawyer say into, when they got to the bush party, that made me a give me a warm fuzzy feeling, because in Mississippi, we love finding a field burning something and drinking beer. It's dark, it's our state sport, you know. It's great. And I am glad that they do that elsewhere. I love the stuff about the Mennonites and f****** they run. You know, we're not there yet, but yes, that's I know but I love that one. Yeah. And I mean, I love the part where, you know, in this particular one you really see well, apparently Wayne. The only way you can show love is to preach hydration to people. Yeah, that was a really deep underneath it all. That was a really kind of touching scene between him and dairy. Were you see their affection towards one another? And Tamarind home. That hydration. That clear P. That's smart thinking right there. Yeah. Three like a marathon. Yeah, exactly. The fighting I don't get tired of it. I love a good slow mo Montage. Fight, it's great. And I also like the fact that when Wayne's fighting in protection of someone, he's, he can be really into it. But when he's just defending the crown, he There's No Malice in it. It's just, I am here too. Well, I am here to win, and I am done. Then, I will pick you up, and we will go have a beer together. Exactly. Yeah. But at one point, I can't remember y'all were talking about the way they throw the punches. Yeah, that's gonna be hot. Yeah, that was with Dennis. Dennis was telling you how his fighting is very much Hockey style fighting, right? But the one thing I have noticed on that, and because I have seen it a thousand times is when they throw like that. A lot of the times they're following with their elbow. Yeah. Oh, yeah. And that'that's a quick way to end a fight. Yeah. If you can connect on that one but otherwise it's just I thought it was a great episode. I thought it was a really, really good episode and made up for the first one. Yeah, yeah. Sure. I agree. So, let us go to ratings now. Victor, what do you give this one? Yeah, you know, I uh, I am on my own on this one but that's alright. So for me, it's the clearance just because again, like I just I feel like there's more to give the season and so if I give this a fresh, I feel like I am you know that's not the right place to set the bar. So I am hoping for more infor, just four more. And by the way, like I didn't think that there wasn't enough story there. I just for me there wasn't a story that I was intrigued with like for that like okay. So this is what season 6 is going to be about. That's what they're going. Yeah the whole thing with the skids I have been for me that's almost like a secondary story and I don't For me, there wasn't like a primary story like this episode was all about the climax of fight. And I just kind of felt like, okay, been there done that. What else is there? And, and that's why I am still kind of looking for that other thing this season. And so, for that reason, I am going to give it a clearance, okay? It's been a while though, since the fight was about the, the toughest the top title, right? That was only, that's a call back. So maybe season 2. Sure. Yeah, but you don't have to be in. All just for it. There's been plenty of you know just take it and move on. Find Matt what's it? What do you give this episode? I mean it's obviously a fresh for my hand. I have done that way. If you didn't know that was coming, you weren't listening this episode. I am with trays, this was a great recovery. I will call it from the first episode. This actually would have been a better suited season kickoff for me. This was really good. There's so many like again, we touch it. The callbacks there were so many good references to all the great stuff, they do the fighting and I have been skeptical of some of the slow motion stuff in the past but this one, I thought was so well done with these. I almost call it a waltz through the party. Like they just kind of come in, they're lined up like a Flying V. They come in and Wayne doesn't even do anything right away, right? He just he's doing, he's on his course. You know, joint boy, jumps in there. All just picking people off. Well, he keeps his course. Yeah. And it just it was just, it was So amazing to watch. I thought that see it got me the fuzzies. Like I think you said it to trace it just it was such a great scene and there's just so much of the relationship Wayne part. I actually love relationship. Wayne? He the complete cuteness between him and a guy, like it's amazing and I love ya. The arm thing. It's another. This is the, if you had any lesson of fresh, I figure it out like this was a good sit, good one. Alright hostilities have returned between the two. These from last year, all is right with the world. Daniel, what do you think 100% agree with Matt? It's a, it's a fresh and everything all points that he made. It's a, it was a great freaking show. I don't understand Victor's point, but to each his own, I just thought it was great. I loved even how the skids their storyline is changing and morphing into this. Other storyline and I have no idea about the Mennonites that's new storyline to me. I know you guys have watched further in, so apparently there's more to come for that but that was an interesting addition to the show as well and yeah, I look forward to it. This was definitely much like hundred percent better than last week's. Hmm. Okay yeah I mean from my recollection we're going to get way more story-driven. And from now on it's not going to be like the first Force Five Seasons kind of episode to episode a standalone. They could have been Standalone like there were some threads going from one to another but in now I feel if I remember correctly, this like this season is going to be kind of all these kind of story that story line. So Murray friend Wayne the skids with the dealing the green g or yeah. We are going to learn more about the Mennonites and So it's a bit of a different tone I was going to go with the clearance except the skids storyline brought it up to a fresh for me because I do like that storyline on that. That's some vigilante s*** there, and I am I appreciate it because I think it's for the first time they're given a legitimate story to tell not just you know some of the craziness that they have done in the past. So it's kind of like a low fresh for me but it's Still a fresh Victor. No mailboxes. No mailboxes were ruined and tires. Alright, our guitars like I don't know. That's true. And again the skids were not the reason for my lackluster honest. They were the Highlight for my we tried Trace. What did you what braiding do you give this? I am gonna give this one a fresh all the way and that just, and I am going to I am standing alone on this hill. Currently but that arm talking thing is so corny. It is haha. Yeah, totally it. Do it's 100% is sickeningly sweet, right? Like it's a thing that they do, it's an invitation an endearment thing that the and Letterkenny the baddest. Like, no one can take him down, and they're doing this whole cocking gun thing. I like it's a quote, it is. It is absolutely more corny, but it's corny enough in a suite. With f****** adorable. Yeah, coming. We joke that Wayne's only way of showing the that he loves somebody has to talk about hydration and the other way to is to comment or on you know how strong you look or how tough you are or whatever, right. I think that's his way of. That's his term of endearment for her instead of calling your honey or sweetheart Hecox our arms, all the time. The but on. Well I mean when it's all said and done, I am team Rosie anyway. So yeah I am biased but otherwise I thought it was I liked it because it was a good solid episode start to finish and it didn't have a lot of holes in it. That's it. It's all day fresh for me. I mean, almost everybody was there and, you know, we all love it when they're yeah, they're groups more together than normal. But it was an absolute fresh Master still no Glenn but yeah or Tanis yet so but you're right I am a fan to of when the whole cast gets together and then there were those a big portion of the cast represented here. All right, let us move on to top 5S Victor. We're going to start with you. I take it. This isn't moving anything off your top five. No, not the freak. How about you Matt? Do you need a reminder? No. No, I actually was so excited about this one. I Take a look. I am going to knock off the talent show, and I am going to put this in its place. Really? Wow. No, this one, I genuinely enjoyed this episode. It just made me happy palette. So, uh, so much better. Yeah, I agree with Victor on now. And yeah, Tom show was your world. Clearly disconnected on this Center. Tanya, how about your top five? I am gonna knock off book, fireworks. Come on. You can do it to any. This is the one way to a man's heart. Heart. Okay. So this becomes your number 52. All right? Axl says spiteful now and it's got to stop. Well, I think she's leaving it so that Steven because I think Steven called it, he's gonna get her to knock fart book off while with his episode. Look at my top five and it this doesn't knock anything off. It doesn't make my top five. It's a solid episode, but it's not one of the best Trace. I don't expect you to give us your top five, but maybe talk about some of your favorite. Episodes that we have already covered. I did my top 50. All right. Hit it to us — I prepared you, I know this great. Yeah, I got my notebook. Perfect. My number five is Supersoft birthday. Oh yeah. That's number four, is finding a stud for stormy cool. My number, my number three is a letter Kitty talent, show, nice. And number two is lithics. And my number one there's Bucky Beach really interesting. I love it, I love it. That was a good one. That's one of the absolute best shows I have ever seen. You like that fight scene at the end. Did you? The cinematography alone was like, yeah, this is not normal TV. This is like some I mean really and well-thought-out and great nonverbal acting. Yes we got that one. I think was the first one written by Jonathan torrents so which I love that man. You're a fan of Canadian comedy. Yeah I guess so. Did you ever watch Street sense when you were going through your Canadian binging? I have not, I have seen a couple of clips of like Jonna Vision on. Yeah, YouTube and stuff, but not hinting any forward, but some of my favorite episodes I have later found out, he wrote, yeah, it does definitely a different tone when he writes and for sure and you're right, Bucky beach has a very different tone from many of the others. And you can probably a tribute to his is scripting and let me know what's going on. Oh yeah, that song is the best. Yeah, yeah, that song was killer, wasn't he also on Trailer Park, Boys? He was, he was j-roc, right? Yeah, that's right. I have to say before me. All right, here we go. We're at the postage dot store, MVP, Victor. You get to go first. Who is your MVP for this up? Oh, no. Don't we just get after? That's why I asked you guys to write it down. Okay? So Victor, give us your MVP, and then we're going to compare notes. Okay, my a look, We win something really. Oh you win bragging rights. Okay, alright so my MVP for this episode of was the part that I thought was the funniest and definitely highlight for me and that would be the McMurray but not McMurray Wayne acting as McMurdo. So Wayne as McMurray. Yeah, Wayne as McMurray. Okay. All right, Wayne. No, I get it. I get it. I get so. Wayne is McMurray, is your MVP for this episode? All right, so before we all give our MVPs Matt, who did you think, wait, Victor was going to say? Well, well, I got it wrong and I will actually, I will refer. I mean, I put what I thought, and what I put as the MVP as well. Okay, so give us, give us your Empire. I actually went outside the I am like, okay, I got to think, like, Victor, I think outside the box here, and Here. The MVP to the green g and this one. Oh, right. You just keep in keeping drug use. If it's day, keeping the lady safe, I thought that was heroic. And I mean not that I fully can fully condone drug, use depends on what it is. But the green gee, I thought was very forward-thinking, and I am like, oh, I may be Victor's thinking a little heroic today. Apparently, I was wrong. But that to my MVP was in this the greens video anything Damn right. It's smart. And I really liked that and one of my favorite lines comes from the exchange of from the Snipes in between the Snipes and the drug dealer. When they said that's not safe, he's like their drugs, they're not. So they're not safe for us to be. There are supposed to be safe. So definitely a fun part there, Tanya, okay. First Tanya, who did you think of so many people was? Was that who you thought Victor? Or is that yours? That's his both. It was blind spot. Okay. Okay. I really thought I had this. I was trying to think like Victor and I said the guitar, at the beginning of the pre-show, I thought you were got, so excited, the Washburn. All right? Yeah, that would have earned Washburn guitar coming. I really thought it was going to be the pre-show that you because, you know, Inside the Box. Yeah. Right. Because, well, if he's like, the rector's done like songs and stuff and I thought, okay, he hated this episode. So it's got to be the guitar from the pre-show. If the game was who is the MVP of our podcast, you would have been correct outside the box. Wow. All right, who is your MVP? I am going to say, oh my God. That is Hardcore thinking about I am gonna swallow because I was thinking too much about you distracted by the V. I am gonna say Marie Fred. Okay, Marie Fred. Yeah, fair. So I think I may have come closest to guessing Victor's MVP. I thought because you'd said your favorite part was in the cold open when they were making fun McMurray but I guessed that it was Dairy as McMurray not Wayne's McMurray. So I was like this close To getting it right? And yeah, I hit the goalpost. That's right. So this is a fun game. Yeah, I like it. Good idea. All right, we're gonna do this for everyone. So my MVP was rolled world was a lot of fun in this one. Especially that, that exchange when he couldn't hear what it when he was misinterpreting everything. They were saying and the club does a lot of fun. That's me at tranzact and yeah, I am in for that transaction. Yeah, it was a lot of fun funky Moe. So yeah, rolled was definitely The funniest part of this episode Trace, who is your MVP ever since you started doing the MVP thing, I have gotten to the point where I am like, what's a Victor gonna pick? This is a game outside the yeah, because, I mean so far outside the box, but I am like, and I always guess wrong. Right? So I just went off, I went for the, I pick Katie because it's one. I didn't think he would pick and I figured That would be 22. I am trying to think what Katie did in this episode. Not a whole lot. She yelled like squirrely Dan for bringing up Professor Tricia. So yeah. There's that. So that's who you thought Victor would pick? I thought Victor. I mean only because anything that I thought he might pick always. I always pick wrong. So I was like, well Katie then, okay, process of elimination. Yeah, I mean it's a pretty safe bet when you're trying to think like Victor to think the opposite of So, so that was, that was a good as a safe better. When you pick the song, I was like I am never guessing what this man is kind of Victor. Don't take that as a challenge either. Like to really throw us off everything like if I feel like it's just, you know, that there was an actual actor that deserve to be an MVP out, I will go for it, you know? I am not trying to be difficult for the sake of being difficult. No, that's So Trace who was your MVP? I feel bad now. My MVP was sure. See, oh my God. This episode 5 times and every time he does, the amazing He said that the mum killed the his fish. Yeah. Throwing up the pH balance and all right. Fair enough. He's as good as MVP has anyway. Second. Yeah, he was so honey. All right, cool. Let us move on to some listener comments. We got a couple here from last week. Great show, everyone's analysis was really spot-on, that's from our buddy. Jason see. That's talking about our analysis on last week's show, so that episode really is isn't a favorite for many people. Who did the pill that was? I think I got a bunch of stuff to in the mail. I got a sticker. I got a pen. I just wanted to see some like look like the quality of the stuff. I got a mug, and I am still waiting on my t-shirt so yeah. I have made some adjustments because I found that the pin was a little offset. Anyway, I have made some adjustments to the store so hopefully those things will come up better. The T-shirt I can't wait for my t-shirt but thank you all for, you know, you know, sharing your and modeling the merchandise. We really appreciate it and spreading the word. Thank you, all for that. I loved your analysis and I just thought you were just an awesome addition to, and just very, very natural fit with us. So, thank you. Yeah, just thanks for coming on. Mack. Yeah, I mean I will leave with the same Trace. Welcome. And it was so fun. Having you here, you're such a blast and such a natural with a show and you brought it, you get you came to the whole goddamn notebook. I think that's more than what most of us come with. You got one up on us, so good for you. That's I do want to quit quim, give a quick shout-out and so thanks to. So I know last week, I put a little asked out there to anyone who was willing and able and wanting to support my brother, who's doing 100. Amateur ride for cancer later. This year, the only thing I ask is anyone who was willing or wanting to donate was, they did some Letterkenny shout out, so you didn't disappoint. There were four donations that came in a couple from the show and a couple of from the listeners, and they made me laugh so hard. So, I know the morning after, I know our buddy, Chad kicked it off, and he gave a nice little donation. My brother with a give your balls, a tug reference. My brother, messaged me that morning goes, dudes. I think some of your listeners might be donating. I said why? He sent me a screenshot of that, and I was crying like, that's amazing. So that was so good. You know, we, I know Al you made a donation. You said, you're doing your parts for cancers. And that's what I appreciate about you, perfect, we had Adrian, I think made one as well. Eyelash makes a wish which I thought was super specific but I loved it. Is that I wish you weren't so f****** awkward. But so I love that. These are all appearing on a donation page, right? Answer. I know Victor when you, when you put your donation, you put pitter-patter, of course, a great reference. And then I got a text from my brother and said, bro, my heart feels good. And he was so genuine about it because, you know, everyone experiences, I am sure everyone's been impacted by cancer in some way. It's, it's a terrible, terrible thing. I know our family's been hit a few times, a hard way, so he was just so blown away by the Response. So, thank you everyone. Who donated or shared or retweeted? What I put out there? You want, is still long. I will still a ways out till his ride. Feel free to reach out or I will repost everyone. So I am not going to mention every week, but I will repost once in a while. And I think we're actually gonna have my brother on later this summer before his ride. But yeah, thank you, awesome. Yes, thanks for everyone who supported Matt's brother on this one, Tanya your final comments. Thank you so much. Trace for coming out. It was awesome. Having you here, Alan. I think we need another sound clip for like when picture lets us down, and we don't get a unicorn. I think we need like a horse. Maybe sounds like we almost got there. But yeah, I have got this one knew from this episode. Look, if you're coming, you better. Come correct. And I just don't want to let down our gas, you know, like they come with the fresh, they're ready for us, and then we let them down. So I think there should be a sound bite for that. So, thank you so much and great laughs tonight. Thank thanks guys. Yeah, you know same as everyone Trace. Thanks for joining us tonight. I know you said you're a little nervous. Hopefully we you know it wasn't too painful for you. Appreciate the Wu-Tang is forever. Sighing, right? Hanging behind you. There that's awesome. We appreciate sets that you are a member of the Washburn guitar Owners Club. But as it turns out all four of or four of us are not Tonya. I guess I associate. Yeah, yours is mine. Yeah, she's an owner by association. You did a great job buddy, and, you know, we will have you back on again for a future episode when an opening exists. So, let me know if there's one in particular that you might want to join us for sure. Do you have any final comments? I just want to thank you guys for having me. This has been a blast and never really didn't have any need to be nervous. I love Letterkenny and by association of really fallen in love with y'all's podcast. It's so interesting. And by virtue that I found yells, DM Group, which is, which is kinda, is something it never fails to be entertaining built a community around the community. And it's, it's wonderful. And I just want to thank y'all for what y'all do. Awesome, and again, thanks again for your support. You put your money where your mouth was, and we appreciate that. And yeah, looking forward to it. So I am going to play a soft now. With a song from this episode. This one was played during the bush party. It's called Kelis by L. Going to show its are spool. This sucker up. Let it marinate for a bit. This is the song that was being played while they made their while the Hicks made their entrance, great entrance. Got a bit of a, what is this?
