One Night in Letterkenny, a comic was mean so the Hicks held a talent show at more Deans. Judge by k.t. And Wayne squirrely Dan was saying, but Dairy, one, the night with his dancing routine. It's thirsty, Thursday. And that means we're once again hanging out at the produce stand a podcast paying tribute to the Great Canadian show. Letterkenny. Now I know what you're thinking, there are many other podcasts about Letterkenny out there, but this one is also a Christian em0, super ballad called non unicorn compost. Really, that's it. Okay, I am Al your hose. You got Victor. Now, your host and joining me in the room. As is always lovely, Tanya and online. We have squirrely. Matt, the vibrant, Victor and joining us is a special guest. Some of you may know her as squirrelly Eliza on Twitter, where she tweets about Animal Crossing, Letterkenny and wine. Liza's recently, recreated the produce stand seen in Animal Crossing. She's also a patron of our podcast, which is why she's here tonight. Everyone Make some noise for Eliza dress. That will give you the VIP treatment Eliza. Thank you so much. Well God I feel so well you to get all those sounds that sound bites? Yeah, well as well you should yet. You know, I am like our other guests. You actually paid to be here. So How are, you know? So Eliza where are we talking to you from? We're talking to me from Portland, Oregon, Portland, Oregon, we hear that's a really nice part of the country. Yeah, I just rains a lot. Well, I mean, so does sort of other nice parts of the country if you don't mind, it is asking what do you do for a living? Yeah, so I am actually. I am on my second week of a new job. I am a teacher at a Childcare Center. Oh nice. What kind of grade or level? So right now, since with distance learning, I actually teach school age kids. So school age, kids will come to my daycare with their computers and I help them out with their school. Okay, it was yesterday or day before yesterday, your Tweet, true tweeting that you were under some kind of distress that you had like, double the amount of kids that you normally have what's going on there. So since all the kids have different schedules, their parents have different schedules. So sometimes they will be a little bit of Sometimes, all of a sudden, there's a whole bunch, and we don't really have control over it. So I actually had every single students that's supposed to be in my class there and I had never happened before. And I mean, got through it and the rest of the week's knows better than I do. But it must be like doing distance learning with a bunch of kids that age must be like words like wrestling cats or whatever. Like just, it must be impossible to keep their attention. Yeah, like I have got three. I got three kids and just trying to keep them under wraps can imagine a whole damn room. So what we're saying is you earn every penny you make and I mean how excited are you to like be getting a job during a pandemic? That must be you must feel fortunate. Definitely, it's been a struggle to try to find a teaching job. I graduated with my bachelor's in June ready to be a teacher and it just is just now finally happening for me. So, but I am just I am so stoked and ready. For whatever they're going to throw at me. That's awesome. So Letterkenny, I mean, when did you discover it? And, you know, tell us a little bit about that. So actually my boyfriend is the one who first showed me, and he was just playing it and I kind of just watched him while he was watching it and I had no clue what was going on the whole time. I didn't understand anything they were saying but I got hooked and now I am a much bigger fan than he is. He kind of laughed at me for like how into it I am. But yeah, it was really just say it was him and then also my sister, she was also watching it. So just the multiple recommendations taught me into it and now I am a bigger fan than any of them. So, so, what did your boyfriend say, when you told him you were coming on the podcast night? Well, I told him about your podcast a lot, because he hears me talk about it every week when I listen. So he has come, see us some background information about it. He just thought it was cool, and I was Of it. He's got, he's not super excited person, so just perfectly cited, right? Yeah, that's cool. Well, I hope you sign the release forms. And how about, okay? So tonight's lineup is going to be Al Victor, Matt, Tanya, and will lie, will have the guests have the last word. How does that sound? Yeah, great. All right. I am just writing that down here. Hold on Tenten. Yeah and Liza. All right. Cool. How are, you know? So I mean, I will talk about my week because it was a really, really exciting week. We had tree or k Trevor Wilson on the podcast on Monday, and that was so much fun. I mean, we got more time than we were expecting from him and I feel like maybe, well, he left in a rush. So I feel like maybe we were keeping him from either another interview or something else, so hopefully he didn't hold that against us but it was a lot of fun. Eliza. I mean you became a patron because you couldn't wait until Monday next Monday to hear the interview. So I mean, what did you think? I was, I loved it. I learned a lot about just like the background in the show that I hadn't really dived into that much. But then also, just the whole throw away glass part that really got me. I was like, this is so great, and I was one of my favorite episodes to and so, yeah, that was great. I have listened to a lot of interviews. Now, from all like, with all got to cast members, and so I was thrilled because he gave us stuff that I have never heard before in any interviews. So even like You're, you're not familiar with it, but there's a CBS show CBC show here called q, and they're known for their in-depth, long-form interviews. And some of the stories he gave us on Monday were not part of those interviews so pretty. Pretty thrilling. There it was fun. Yeah. Victor how's your week? That's a great week. You know, I got to meet a star. So that's pretty cool. And, you know, you know what's neat about that entry is when he first showed up and sat down in a chair, you look themselves. But there's all these people make all these different cameras. I could just tell him his face like he's thought. Here we go. Yeah. I he don't look that enthusiasm, you know, like he's, so he's a pro, right? Yeah. And he's probably done a million of those interviews. So that's just it, that's just it. And why I feel so good about, you really deserve a lot of credit for this Alice. You know, he probably 10 minutes in, he was having a great time. He was enjoying, it was genuine, it was authentic, it was real, and he was having You got time and that's why. When we came to 45 minutes in, he wasn't thinking, I got to get out of here. He might have been, like, based on some schedule, whatever. But he was, he was not showing signs of Rush or anything like that. He was totally in it. And, you know, when we got to the speed round, like he was just all in, he was all in. It was so, so beautiful, and they are kudos to you for, you know, keeping pace and asking, good questions and whatnot. But you know, I felt that interview was right up there. With any of the Articles and interviews, but I saw and kind of preparing for that episode. So, yeah, I just felt really good about it and, you know, week was great because, and how great is it? Because we, you know, we didn't plan the timing know, the fact that it was, it was like sandwich between these two episodes for the one we did last week, right? Perfect one. Chris like it was like, served up. Yeah. We like a softball. Like it was just perfect. You know, didn't have been better? Yeah, it's like you create your own destiny. It's not holed. Quantum physics thing that you know I am not going to get into it, maybe another. But yeah, so I am feeling really good. Good and I hope you're right. I hope that's how he felt it seems like he was he warmed up kind of you know as we were going but yeah it was so much fun and the thing is too it went long, not just it wasn't our father went long so much as it was his. His answers were so long and detailed. But like I was wouldn't dare enter like interrupt the guy because he was giving us some gold. Old, so just let him talk, right? I mean, I didn't get to half the questions I wanted to ask. Oh yeah, you know, well just makes her part too sometimes. I thought I was saying, yeah, we will see you anyway. Matt. What did, how was your week? We I mean you guys have all said it was it started off on such a high though. The one thing I want to quickly, tackle something here, I have been very observational and some of what's going on. And I am getting a bit of podcast, cool Vibes going on here. So, let us backtrack a couple weeks and on an All Occasions, I have made references to, you know, should we be considering recasting, right? And then out of nowhere else says oh we have a guest coming on and then I look at her handle online, and she goes by squirrely Eliza, I don't know. Should I be nervous as a casting call? Thank you. I didn't want to say anything in addition didn't want to say anything Matt. But depending on how today goes, I am putting the pieces. These together or can I say no? I mean, it's been a fun week, and I am so glad you're able to come out and join us. Lies is such a blast. We love having others on the show and I know we have talked about for having more people. So, yeah, I am hoping this is just sort of the starting point, and we can open it up our doors because, you know, we just joined every week and have a blast. So this is such a pleasure to have someone with us the other. The other kind of cool news that I am interpreting as cool in my head is I just found out of nowhere. I randomly became Australian this week. Nice. So okay, explain well, I mean I guess I would kind of say I am probably the equality equal of about 118 Australian in law. My cousin just became an Australian citizen. So I know we're putting that is I became so yeah. All right, adjacent to a Jason. They're very random news, but I just, you know, I got excited. I am like, I guess I have Australian in the family now, so there you go. Now you have a place, you can go crash when you go visit rapid, yeah, Tanya, how was your week? Well, after Matt's moment there, I feel like I just need to say fresh, right? From the get-go, whether it is a fresh or not. Just so that I don't get recast casting. So, yeah, I will just like blankly. Give my freshers from here on it. My week was busy, I can't. Leave. That was Monday. I felt so late. This week is stuff out so long. It's been such a busy week. You guys have already hit all the nails on the head for our episode and show on Monday, K. Trevor Wilson, amazing. Love the firt. I loved how it was split and split up. And it was kind of like the first half hour about him, and his career, and the build-up into the letti Letterkenny for the second. Portion of the episode. So it was a, it was a great mix. And then on top of all that, we had our son's birthday on the same day as the interview. So I think I was up till about 2:00 in the morning, the night before the interview. And then the day before the birthday of making penguins of all things, I know this, I am the crazy lady that made lawn ornaments like 3-foot penguins with Duct tape, and cardboard, and they were amazing. May, I say that they were not say so yourself, you know what? I will post a picture. They were so freaking amazing. So yeah, the, the because we're in still in lockdown. So, we're whatever state of emergency, we're only allowed like five people outside and a gathering. So couldn't have his buddies over. You can see his friends, not in school, blah, blah. So, anyways, thought I would do something fun and special so that he can look back and not It's an oh, you know, covid took away my birthday so that he would still have a fun, happy memory. We also stuck five dollar bills in and balloons and then let him pop them. And he's like, why am I popping balloons? And then money for started, flying out of them, and then he got the hint that all the balloons had money stuffed in them. So that made for a fun adult pinata. So if anyone needs something for her birthday, that one works as a couple ideas for you. There you go. Yeah, and we didn't even mention a Monday was so, like, so eventful that we didn't mention, we got our Funko pops on Mondays. Wow. Yeah. That wasn't planned either. But I went to the, I got the notice in my email and I ran out to the mailbox and I brought the Box home, and I was about to rip it open because I was so excited, and he's like, why don't you wait until we have Matt and Victor on so that we can do, you know, an unboxing. So she made me wait. But we did. We had some fun better man than I would have been, that's what we appreciate about her. Yeah. So after Kate, Trevor after we were done with him, we did an unboxing, and we just it's so much fun just to looking at them. And we will have to arrange a meet like an in a parking lot somewhere where we can write. I can give you guys your sponsor one more time that one last time. No, not last time, we will just keep on saying how awesome he is Dennis googan from. I am not I don't even remember, his is a company name, but he makes pop Funko, Pop vinyl figures. Look him up on Twitter or Facebook. He does great work, and we can attest because we're not, we're not only, you know endorsing. We're also clients and very successful and will be returning customers for sure. Oh yeah. Oh my goodness. Everybody wants one now. Yeah, watch out. So we got to keep this going rolling here. Twitter. All right, let us roll don't bore us. Get to the chorus. Last week, we re Captain reviewed episode, 3 of season, 4 way to a man's heart. That episode, got a fresh rating from all of us. Making it the second straight unicorn. According to our scientific poll. We were right because 100 percent of respondents also gave the episode, a fresh rating this week, we recap and review. Sold for of season for Letterkenny talent. Show Victor. Have you done your homework? My homework, Matt, have you done your homework? You got it, buddy. Ten. You have, you done your homework? I have done my homework Eliza. I didn't give you much notice, but did you do your homework? Yeah, I actually was able to watch it twice because I was so excited. Wow, that's dedications audition. Yeah, just so, you know. Yeah, I didn't reach out to allies until last night, it just occurred to me. Oh, Oh, you know, because that I had asked, everyone else who was a patron, if they wanted to be on the episode. And, so I said, I better ask Eliza and I said, you can come on any time you want even tomorrow, if you want you like, I would like to. I would love to come on tomorrow. I am like, oh, okay. So, thank you. And wow, you have watched it twice. That's probably at least double. How many times mats watched it? So that's really true, true story because I actually don't think I would seen this episode really and I don't know why because Gone. So I thought I went through all the seasons but both Jay and I were watching it and both of us. A I don't think we have actually seen any of this. WOW, because this is a, this is one of those signature episodes. I mean, we're going to find out here. All right, let us start with the cold open. We open either on the at the produce. Stand that hicks are all arguing over in the intricacies of the Finders Keepers rule squirrely. Dan found a package at the dollar store parking lot address, too soupy, Campbell and spider cream ins. So he put it back in The mailbox because it was the right thing to do. Katie and dairy disagree shut up, and it will just didn't feel right on the council. That was a nurse well by the rules of Finders Keepers. That was yours so you should open it. Yeah, it was our guys, it's by the rights. I beg to differ. Even though we found it, it was still technically there guys, is it? It was yours fair and square. Well, do is respect Miss. Katie's there was. Some fellows has just landed in. Our guys are hands-free. Fleas and with Katie, here's our guises and now we will never know what was in soupy and spiders package. That's I said Wayne thinks something isn't, right? He's not talking about the Finders Keepers rule. He's referring to, the they're butchering of the English language says it chaps his ass. So we bit when people use big words to sound smart, it's far more smart and efficient to use. Small words, save your breath for something more important like torn or toe-curling. You know, I think I know what your considerations out here Wang and I want you to know I take right Salsas and working through all the complexions that come from the King and Queens. Anguish shall I call you an ambulance tan or better yet a wambulance? Library has lots of choice literature to help their your conviction then. Well, the library's full of choice latch, which are regardlessly expresso now that one so wrong. It might as well be right as far as when it's concerns for lead and did the right thing and cue the music. All right. That's a cold open Out. Start this cold open I mean it's a lot of fun and I mean listening I don't know how squirrely Dan gets through some of that dialogue. You get through with all those unnecessary asses. It's so great, and they hit on so many words that bug the s*** out of me when people mess them up, like, like regardless Lee and or expresso. And there are a couple of others now that aren't coming to mind. Because I am tired, but I am just, it's just, I found it amusing. It was a funny, is a funny cold, open. I you know, it's like not the funniest ever but it's definitely one of the better ones, you know of late. Victor, would you think? I was waiting for them to anyway anyways. But only yeah, that's another one better because that one just you know that one just shoots me through the roof. Yeah, I correct everybody when they, when they say anyways, but my son now just says it all the time just to bug me. Of course, I would totally do that. That's a teenager's dude. Yeah, so anyway, so I enjoyed the called, I mean, more acrobatics linguistic, acrobatics Addicts rain. So it was good and it wasn't too long and got me in a mood for the rest of it. So, it was good. That I was good. It was, I mean, I agree. It wasn't my favorite cold open. It was fun. The S is definitely tripped you out. As I go along, I like the extra over the top ones that Dan throws in at the end there. Just that cracks me right up. But yeah, I know, it was a perfectly fine, cold open. I wouldn't say anything to Rave about on this one. Okay. I agree with what, Matt? Just said it was short, which was good because it wasn't great. Oh, all right. Eliza, I will I really enjoyed this cold open, but I think it's because I was trying to focus a lot more on it than I had in the past. And, so I think I appreciate it as much in the past as I did to now especially with subtitles on. Yes. I thought that was. I thought it was hilarious. Yeah we're now just we have to have this out subtitles on just so tenure catches. Thing and I guess I keep forgetting to do that and I agree letters are like, it's funny doing this podcast. I found as I am watching the episodes I am like, actually paying attention. Like I am you watch shows and you watch some but like when you feel like you have to comment on them later, you actually like, oh s***, I got to be paying attention. Oh yeah, call me on it. Well, you guys know, I have gone ahead and watch season nine already and but watching, see it's this podcast is kind of ruined me for watching them for pleasure because I am watching it going. Oh, I wonder what Victor is going to say about this or 010 is not gonna lie. Like that seeing her, but it's like, it's I can't watch it just as a fan anymore. I have to watch it kind of critically. Yeah, yeah. Ruin that for you? No, no. I read it for myself. That's what I still. I still enjoy it. I still enjoyed. It's just I am listening to I am watching it with in the back of my head. You know what? The three of you nut sacks are thinking? Anyway, it's broken me to honey. It's broken me to, I know, coming out of the theme. At Mo Dean's to its Letterkenny comedy night. The comedian on stage is telling some lame joke. About being women being like cats and men being like, dogs, needless to say he's bombing the comedian? Make Salud joke about Bonnie, mcmurray's, Romney mcmurray's expense, which doesn't endear him to the crowd and actually causes McMurray to speak up to defend. His sister's honor the comedian shoots back and McMurray, which Rouse him up even more McMurray responds and actually gets a laugh from the audience, the comedian fires back but again gets no laughs but Wayne does yell at him to get the f*** off the stage which gets Applause from the audience. So the comedian fires back at the audience. Hey here's one for you. Why did the chicken cross the road one? Get the f*** out of Letterkenny. This place. F****** son. Nice. Yeah. What am I? Suddenly in letter Kenya, you guys run fast. Well, I thought you guys would appreciate that. It's racist, just like you, okay? Thanks very much, Letterkenny. This has been the exact opposite of fun too bad. The show wasn't in better Kenny because Guys are the worst audience ever. You suck her some chicken funny, man. I think this is easy. Think it's so f****** easy. What are you? Trying yourselves and everyone in the audience kind of goes quiet and looked at each other and contemplates with the comedian. Said, see number two, joint boy and Tyson arrived at the gym. Riley and Jonesy are giving them a hard time. What's up, boys? That's what's up, tank top. Looks like you guys could use a bit of a tune-up. Yeah, summer shape. Slip-sliding away, boys. Ourselves. Go a little bit. It readies for the SAG Awards? You two are going to the roles. These polls. The Easiest Letterkenny Irish ever seen boys rosiest of the Posies Florida. Tyson was ties and asked him. What if they're f****** blind Riley suggest they could use some CrossFit. It seems rally and Jones. You're now working at the gym is celebrity endorsers or celebrity and forces trying to up memberships. They offer joint boy and Tyson free trial. You guys want a free trial? We put the ABS in absolutely free full body workout. Absolutely bro. Crunch. N Munch, boys. I am Stan Branch boys. Play the cards. You're dealt struck and tires and muscle fires boy. It's cardio day, f*** cardio. Tyson is why they would get training from rally and Jonesy they look like joint boy and Tyson's before pictures, the best line in the whole thing. This is Riley and Jonesy, call them chicken, but immediately regretted after a glare from both John-Boy and Tyson next scene at the produce stand McMurray visits to Hicks after his usual awkward greeting with Wayne he gets to the point he and Mrs. MacMurray think they should try it themselves. Wayne says that to be fair. It's likely not as easy. It looks, as it looks screw the dances, the comedian from the night before was a joke, which makes McMurray laughs McMurray tries his hand at a joke but the Hicks don't laugh proving Wayne's point that. It's likely a tough sledding for anyone on stage as a comedian in any event McMurray. Thanks Letterkenny, should host their own talent show, Katie likes the idea. Mrs. MacMurray wonders. How they will get the word out Wayne answers? You can put it on your, f****** Facebook's likely. They decide that dick skin will host. Katie, and Wayne will be the judges. Has because they're born to judge. So now they just need a few more acts and then squirrelly 10 speaks up. Well, your be needing a joke Smith for this esteems affair. I have always wanted to try my hands and stands up comedy. I have often wondered how those courageous Souls makes it work salt of the earth. People stand up comedians for the most part. For that last line, screwed it in. Looks right into the camera. Breaking, the fourth wall, McMurray says squirrely, Dan is in then. Engine turns to Dairy who's being very quiet. They ask him if he has any special talents you'd like to share their, he said he'd be half scared to get up there. Mrs. MacMurray said that means he'd be half excited to sweeten. The pot McMurray says, the first prize could be a hundred dollar part a bit more Deans, to Wayne quickly, volunteers Dairy, but dirty doesn't look too pleased in the end. He gives in, but still looks on sure a while later still at the produce stand, but it's just Wayne and Katie and dairy. Dairy asks Wayne what? He's gotten himself into both Wayne and Katie Tell him that it's time to get back on the horse. That horse seems to be line dancing. It seems dairies line dancing. Lineage is legendary, dairies and Doreen made it to sectionals. Could have made it to provincials or regionals. Heck, if there was, if they were in the state's, she would have surely one state but it hadn't been had it, not been for her bum leg and of course, Aunt, Doreen and Doreen had buerger's disease and I looked up buerger's disease. It's a It affects blood vessels in the body, most commonly in the arms and legs blood, blood vessels swell, which can prevent blood flow causing clots to form and this can lead to pain tissue damage and even gangrene. So that's what. Yeah, and Doreen had. This sets them off on a burger. Jag was it workers? Yes, burgers. And you get treated. The Mayo Clinic. Yes, she got her Burgers treated with mayo. Did she do that to catch up to the competition? Did she catch up? Yes. And despite her Burgers, she never beefed with anyone. She relish the challenge. That was a challenge that she relished, mustered up the courage, she worked her buns off. She worked the buns. Off her Burgers, they're cheesy moves. Let us all be inspired by her, she let us know hot-dogging. Just, Burgers point is if answering can do all that with a Gowdy gam you sure shake line dance Letterkenny, the dad jokes and not seen or strong. I like that one. Do is totally gommage, so like their alphabet Olympics that they do. So not the Alphabet Aerobics they did right? Just playing off the words are so well done. Yeah, there he finally agrees. He just wishes he was as confident as Katie and Wayne or Fred Astaire, just then screw down, appears out of nowhere, saying, he's just a gay lers. He asked the guys who their favorite stand-up. Comedian is Wayne says Mark forward. Who plays coach Katie, says Dave, Chappelle Dairy says to even write, they asked who squirrely Dan's. Favorite comic is. Big Feller. How long the Storyteller handsome as the day is long? Can't remember his name though. Okay and incidentally in screw the Dan's interview or screw the K Trevor Wilson's interview, he mentions a Steven Wright as I guess one of his favorite comedians, and so they say Steven Wright and Dave Chappelle and Mark forward. So it's a little called back there. Squirrely Dan is of course, referring to himself. Even stairs right into the camera. When he delivers the line handsome as the day is long, screw it in ask, for everyone's opinion on, something says he's been working on his stand-up act, his style is going to be observational. Comedy asked if they want to hear some jokes. So they say sure. Daddy's ever notice when you got to the gas station and there's a lineup, you always pick switch vehicles to weights behind and the other fellas, what you did is Gets behind, always done. First, always happens, every time. I got to make support Wonder done now that's a choice observation really damn. Yeah, that happens sometimes. All right, let me try another one. Did you ever notice here at the grocery store and you pick the car equipped with Janu shopping with? You always seem to grab the one that's got the squeaky wheel. It almost happens every single time, every time kind of makes a fellow wonder, it done. Yeah, yeah. I just need to cook up a few more of these, and I am in business. I gotta say something are so when we were doing the entry, one of the questions that I was contemplating asking, and I ended up I am so happy I didn't because then he would have wondered. Do you even watch the show was, have you ever considered or would you even be allowed to, but consider doing a stand-up act as score lead and characters? And, and, and, and obviously he's done that in this episode, I had not watched the Episode yet when we were doing the injury, right? So I kind of again this whole Quantum, physics thing that you just create your own. You don't believe in coincidences or divine intervention. But yeah that's no II believe in. Kind of you having full control over your own destiny. So that was brilliant. That was so wrong which I was just watching the sitch Glee, such a joy. I think. Well, you know, my dreams have been Answered at least this week so that was really exciting. See number four, back at the gym, rattling Jones. You're trying to give joint Point Tyson CrossFit lesson, but they're not having it because it's cardio days. So they go back to their work out. Leaving, Raleigh and Jonesy to takes himself, Jim selfies. Next scene that night in Bodines to is Letterkenny talent show. Dickens hosts. He warms up the crowd with some auctioneering and then introduces, the judges Katie and Wayne who have read buzzers in front of them, Katie says She's looking for something, she hasn't seen before and Wayne just says, don't f*** it up bud? Excuse me. First Act is Gail who performs a monologue from her favorite movie, Gladiator only. It's from the XXX version of gladiator. Called Gladiator. Lingus you Barbarian. Let your Italian hands roam all over my body. You're such a gifted orator ha. On sheath your sword. I am plural. Spear me, you dick tape. I am about to cry next to must have all what we do in life. Echoes in eternity. Oh you know, I don't know what kind of pornos you have Watched but very rarely if I watch pornos with that kind of dialogue in them anyway or would that much dialogue? Yeah, exactly or maybe I just never last that long anyway. Wayne hits the buzzer. Well done. Yeah, maybe that's my problem. Wayne hits the buzzer. That easy, but no way that wasn't easy. Katie looks. Okay. Compose yourself. Wayne hits the buzzer Katie looks flushed, she was actually mouthing the words. Did you notice that? She was actually moment mouthing the words along with Gail during that. So it seems, they have similar tastes in p***. Katie says about what? Gales performance. Well, that was bang on even better than the movie and Wayne gives her. Her a disgusted look. Is that an actual movie? Did you do some roll? Call them. Oh, come on. No, no. You know what? Don't Google it. Come on. It can't be any worse than lemon party. No, you're probably, right. But I think Matt's on it right now. I can say next up is coach with his ukulele. He dedicates his song to his late wife Barbara. It's a touching love ballad which he sings earnestly. He gets Prompted by a cough in the audience which causes him to stop and start over. He's interrupted again, and then he proceeds to smash his ukulele on a stool and lose his s***. Jesus Christ, anesthesia Scrooge was somebody got a life-threatening to sneeze out there, huh? We finally got some class up here after ganzel striptease and then now look what happened. Look at him. Yeah. Am I speaking Cantonese up here? Do I need to get down on my knees and beg? You take that garbage overseas and Order yourself some giant sneeze Quincy. Before I go her Gus knees-up your a******. Got big deal stinks today. Yes, Dickens actually brings up a trash cans of the coke. Coach can kick it for his signature f****** embarrassing. Next up is Glen and the Salty treats. So this is a call back to episode 1. If you guys recall, the church group that they go to and episode 1, there's a band on stage, those are the salty treats. That's how, that's how long they run some of these jokes. But so gland in the soft salty treats they got together to form an emo super band called my tattered Journal. Glenn? What I just want, I just wonder where exactly? Do you want Wayne to touch? You, where do I want? Where do I want to touch my spirit? What else would I mean, don't answer that? This is one of those rare occasions where it's actually it hurts the joke too. The subtitles on because just gonna say that. Yeah, because he doesn't it that subtitles, don't say that. He's saying, he's saying Wayne, he's saying away, but it sounds like he's saying Wayne. So the subtitle actually ruins the joke but still pretty funny. I was like, but does it because he cuz when he gets asked where do you want touch Wayne? He does go along with that statement, right? No, that's what I mean here. I think the subtitles were broken just like one, that's what I am getting, that stupid band and stuff. Queen not stupid. It's Steven Walker's. Favorite band or nothing admitting it says guilty pleasures. Right? Is guilty pleasure not as that favorite band. Sorry. Stephen. Next up are the skids whose scream and dance to Industrial Music Wayne buzzes them, what the actual f*** was that Stewart scream therapy to the streets, you just witnessed a new genre gases by to sit through the Saudis Samoan Estonian In Istanbul in Sri Lankans. Swiss Saharan Southern State sub underground, city streets, it's called And now a second set, they just killed himself That Elbow, to roll was so funny that was their repeated shots of dairy at the bar looking anxious, drinking beer and eating nuts. Next up is a perplexing act with McMurray and Mrs. MacMurray, he is just up as Santa Claus, and she's sitting in his lap dressed as a schoolgirl. But Marie asked if she's been a good girl. She, she has He says no. So he puts her over his knee and spank her Wayne has trouble hitting the buzzer on account of the fact that he's shielding his eyes from the scene, do me a favor before you had to get it dry-cleaned, we're still going to need him to get dry clean. Don't you worry today? When L spend the whole episode picturing me, Marie as Dan know, I know. No, well, it would have been a completely different character. I know a different kind of flip my whole universe and that's okay. Trevor was an interview. It was a lucky move that Dan Patron on whatever his last name is couldn't Trotter, which couldn't but Trot of it. Be on the show from the beginning because of whatever other commitments he had because squirrelly Dan is the heart of that show. Yeah and I mean my They may not have written him the same way but still because they when they certainly can and Kate Trevor makes that point at the beginning, when they, when they wrote his character, there's a reason he's squirrelly Dan, he talks about his you know, cocaine past, and all that stuff like that, but then it seems like they have kind of you know, turned it around a bit. So it's interesting though. But yeah, you're right. It's it would have been a very different show. Yeah. Okay. Next scene, back at the gym, a couple of Snipes approaches Riley and Jonesy for some training rattling Jones. You think they want pointers on taking Jim selfies, but they just want to get trained by joint boy and Tyson undaunted rattling Jones and congratulate themselves on the sail and go for some beer and appetizers next scene back at the Town. Show squirrely, Dan is on stage, and he's killing it. He's got the audience in stitches. And the whole kitchen set. The audience laughs at everything. Screw it in says except Wayne who's just sitting there looking confused, squirrely Dans, cette ends and Dickens comes on stage and asked the judges for their opinions. Thoughts on Dance act. I thought it was good. Good, good. Talking about humble. Laughs Tater. Well it was observational as build funny because true I guess. Overall not so bad. Thank you. Miss. Katie's. I appreciate your assessment Wayne. Well I liked it because what I see I understand where is everything else I have seen today? Well, I don't understand. I guess that makes you the fellow to be squarely Dan. Has a swirly Dan walks off the stage. He says he doesn't know what the comedian was talking about. That was super easy, you just see things and you tell people about it. This is formula for comedy time for the Final Act its Dairy. There he comes out of the kitchen psyching himself out. He starts his act, but he's visibly nervous and sweating. Most people aren't impressed. He starts to lose it but just as he's about to give up waning. Katie joined him on stage with his friends, support Dairy. Regains his composure and starts dancing. Again, Squirrely, and Dan squirted, an and Dickens join in. And then Gail McMurray and Mrs. MacMurray the whole bar. Erupts in Applause as Riley and Jonesy walk in and witness. What's going on? They say, f*** You f*** cardio, and they walk out, and we Fade to Black. All right, so now the fun part, now the fun part, and I am at the top of the lineup, you know what, it's really hard being first. To comment, I got to say I don't envy that. Okay, this episode, let us start with that. I mean, I already said the cold. Open was good. It was just a solid cold. Open wasn't one of the best, but it was, it was funny enough and there's a lot of enjoyment enjoyable parts of it. The rest of the episode, the gym parts were amusing. They're kind of, you know, we have said these this kind of before they were kind of commercial breaks, they were there, just break up the, the town show scenes. So, You know, those some fun stuff in there but nothing really consequential, but nothing that took away from the episode either. I mean, the meat of this episode is what happens at the talent show and it's so fun. Every bit of it is fun. And, and I have said this before and I will say it again, my favorite episodes are when all the factions are in it together, not with their own separate storylines. And this is, this is all the factions in it, you know, interacting with each other. Acknowledging each other and reacting to each other's weirdness. Every time Wayne has to react to anything the skids do is just freaking hilarious because he just looked perplexed. He doesn't know how to react to them, and it's still great. You know, a little bit more gold from coach. We get a little bit of Dixit, Dickens and takes the normal said, yeah, all around. And then the ending, I mean, the ending had a lot of heart and it was, you know, it was a heartwarming ending. I loved It just another kind of display of solid solidarity and friendship from the Hicks. So all around really, really solid Victor. Yeah, almost kind of verbatim really, like, it's exactly the same, take away that I had the opening was short. It wasn't award-winning it was, but it was, it was good. The, and, and Riley and Jonesy their best line came at the very, very end, everything else was just it was, it was just there was, you know, there wasn't a complete, you know, for the most part, forgettable unnecessary. But Make sure but it's set them up for the finish, right? So all those the line would have met Ben I guess less a sieve if we didn't get that whole cardio thing throughout the gym. Yeah, you're right conversation. Just one. So yeah, it's I guess it's kind of good setup for that a bit of a drive to get there. But and but really the this was all about the talent show and I just I loved every single second of it. I loved it and Dickens was perfect. You know, you know, he found ways to get that little stick in there and it was it just worked. I love the eyes and the headlights or headlight eyes for from Katie. During some of the performances, I thought that was brilliant. And yeah, I just, I don't know. It just it was like, it was Kumbaya I loved it. Yeah, Matt. Yeah, it was fun. I will let go a couple things from you our you know I thought the cold open was fine. There was a few early scenes which were which we're good. I mean like the burger scene and like I said the oh yeah, that was a good one on there. I thought was great. Even the gym stuff, it all made sense. Because what I liked about this is like you said, all the factions were there where they are all the talent show or not everyone was represented in this episode, and then they tied us up for the natives. No snow tennis exam for the natives. You're right, we were We're missing time. Is that would have been great if they somehow layered that in as well? That would have been from. I would love to see what they did with that? But what I took from this episode was it was really, it was like a celebration of talent, right? Because it was a talent show. So what they did and the way the episode of your Legos almost like a bit of a curb. So they started off. Okay. And they kept building and building, then you hid the talent show which like I think you have all said it. So the meat of the whole show each Act, in my opinion, got progressively better and better in its own unique way. And then the It just finalized with that dance routine, and I was I was I was laughing so hard. I couldn't contain myself just the way it all came together and then Victor you called it out then rather than Josie walk in say they're light, and they're gone and then and you're like it was just a so full circle such a great build up of an episode even though and a funny because I didn't really enjoy the little bit at the beginning until I saw the end and then it all came together and it brought me back. So it was a great, it was a great episode, a lot of fun. Okay. Tanya that callback that they have to the beginning of the show at the end of the show, they seem to do quite a bit like that whole ant thing that they did on the Sea-Doos that I keep on thinking about that. It bothers me so much because it was so it really boggled my mind when they did it at the beginning. And then it's like, okay, yeah, who hasn't seen like an ant stranded on a leaf, or a feather or whatever? On the lake or in the pool. So yeah. They always like to do those little callback references, back to the end and it pulls that joke altogether, so makes it fun. So, I just want to say, how much fun would that Writing Room be like, I just kept on thinking, oh my God, they must laugh their asses off and that whole relish mustard buns. Ketchup like Lycra calling out, you know, how do we tie buns in? And like, I can just see them killing themselves? Laughing And all of the, the word play, even with coach and the sneezes and his funny takes and word play on those jokes. It just, it went over and over again. And, and everyone's kind of stand up even Gail with her wordplay, and her getting her freak on. Oh my gosh, she is so uncomfortable, but she's uncomfortable. Funny. Now, like I am starting to warm up. Up to her, where it's like, okay, I kind of get where this character is even though she's uncomfortable. She's uncomfortable in a funny way and I get that she's just you hated her when you first, and I am still uncomfortable with her, but she's like, I am uncomfortable and it's funny but I still don't know what I would do. If I ever met a person like that, it would be like, okay, step sideways. So I am going to start cleaning the face, the phrase that way news is what the actual f***. What is it that he says, what the actual f***? Was that? What the yeah? What the action? A coin, a phrase? You better get it right? Ways was that? Yes. I love that. And mcmurray's again uncomfortably funny. Hilariously uncomfortably funny. Yes. Wait, till you see next episode, they're okay. And they have gotten me twice. Now that whole scene with them in the golf cart going around and around. And in circles and just chirping and stuff. And now with this Santa and I don't know, little child, I don't know what that was. Every way it was very uncomfortable and the laugh track attracts with squirrely Dan, they get me every time. So I loved it. The only thing I was sad about was that joint boy and Tyson didn't take their shirts off. I thought there was going to be like there's no dick and in the last you weren't distracted on this episode, now is no dead. So no deep. And I was hoping for a little shirt off to show the washboard abs, but that didn't happen. But anyways, very good episode. Yeah. And you can tell, how undistracted was by the detail over? No. Yes, she took very detailed, notes s. In this case, the D, stood for detail Eliza, I am trying to get better. I thought that this was a great episode. I agree with you. Al, when he said that the gym seems kind of felt like a commercial But I really appreciate Jonesy and Riley's confidence. Oh yeah. Like they were totally put down. Like you look like a before pictures, and then they just kept going. Like I was like I wish I could do something like that. If I were put down like that I don't think I could do that. I don't know if it's confidence or obliviousness but yes. Yes although last episode we saw that confidence when Dachshund and Ron are hitting on them, and they're like oh you don't mind catcall music. What we How hot we are like. So yes, they're very confident guys, for sure. Yeah. Yeah. If I could have an answer that I would be great. And then with Gail I also with tenure, I agree with you as well as she always she has always made me uncomfortable, but I Aprilia appreciate her and I think now I only feel uncomfortable if like someone walks into the room, that's never seen the show and it's a Gail's to you. Yes, I think that's really when it like its kind of iffy, and I am like, I feel extra and comfortable because then you're being judged your Being judged by what you're watching. Yeah, but for sure I would love to interview Lisa codrington because what I have seen, she's so not her character and I have so many questions for her. So don't wonder if that's a hard roll for her to play. Like, I don't know, she makes it look so effortless, but it-it's so, yeah. And then lastly, I really does appreciate it all the different music talents of Letterkenny, I thought, uh, of the music Acts Fantastic. And then again at the end of the episode how it just all came together, it really showed letter Kenny's like a core value of Letterkenny which is sticking together their Letterkenny and that's what they are. And if you don't like it then go away. Yeah. And I think that's a great, great value for a town to have. Yeah, they're getting really, really good with those endings. Like those endings scenes are getting more and more. Well, well-earned anyway. All right. We will start with ratings again with me. It's obviously a fresh like there's nothing wrong with this episode and there's so much right with it. The everything in the town show, the burger stuff was. So I joke. It's, it's such dad humor. So I maybe I am a dad, so I guess that's why I loved it so much. It was so, so funny. I would love to be in a writing room to write that kind of stuff. And yeah I mean there's that, and we You talk about some of the pastor Glenn stuff, like it seemed like such a, you know, not a lot of him in there. Like, yeah, he's up on stage with the band, but the stuff he's doing while he was standing at the bar during L2 and set was really, really funny. Him reacting to scroll Eden and screw it and putting him down, and he's just laughing like the more scary than says, the more he laughs and stuff. It was really good. So yes, it's a complete and utter fresh for me, for sure. Victor, it's a fresh dunk. No, no doubt about it. You know, all the things that weren't award-winning about these, this episode is so quickly forgotten by the, just the pure gold that you see throughout the, you know, peppered throughout the episode but especially during the talent show. And, you know, I have gotten to the point where, you know, you like some. I will use K trouble. Okay. Trevor Wilson here. So I didn't know him as a comedian on five-star watching the show and So when I started to watch some of the stand-ups, I was kind of thinking, I hope this is funny because it will be kind of awkward if he was is you're kind of forcing yourself to kind of laugh and stuff like that, and I felt like the first two and a half seasons and specially last season's that I didn't find that. It was as funny as everybody else. I kind of felt similarly getting ready to watch these episodes. I know, I hope this, I am I hope I am going to enjoy this episode, right? That's how I felt. And before, I after watch this episode this because the fourth one in a row and if not for some questionable voting, I think we were had for unicorns now, but professional voting by you and antenna. Yes. Yeah, no. No, I am this is going to be four for four years so oh, yeah. I hear ya. No, no. I was totally throwing Tony under the bus and no, he totally was stabbing motion for sure. You know, I feel like we have now Ivan. We have now hit the stride here where I am expecting imix. Now I am expecting for every episode to be a fresh from this point forward. And if it's not, I am going to be shocked and amazed because I feel like this is the show has hit its I know we talked about it last time, but we it hit its stride and each episode now just bring Springs home. I don't feel that feeling anymore. Or I just know that I am probably going to enjoy it and is island is Linda's. Still watching it with you? Then she is. She's been she's a trooper, and she's genuinely enjoying the episodes because before she was I think trying to kind of force herself. She laughs a little bit and now like this season every episode has been gold. And so this especially this last one, I think she enjoyed it so far the most out of any episodes we have seen so far. Matt. Yeah, yeah. Victor said a lot of really good things that are. It's absolutely a fresh for this one. What I would say and I think you hinted to a bit, I mean, there's a, there's some throw away stuff. If I rated the whole episode just on the first say 10 minutes it wouldn't be a fresh. I don't know what it would be quite been but it wouldn't be a fresh but once we got a little deeper in it all tied together, the talent show is just like I said I interpreted as a big celebration of each other of what they do of the Arts little likes. Nods like, like Wayne calling out Mark forward as his favorite comedian. Like just simple things like, you know, Dan celebrating himself almost like it was, there's just there's so many good things and there was like, weird things like ought to like, even when Glen and the banner up there like it felt like a My Chemical Romance video. Yeah, there was, there was some really strange things going on but I really felt like this really was a celebration of the things. They love about the music and the Arts and Ade and it just sold me from right at the end. I loved it so much. So yeah, absolutely. It's an easy fresh for me this season. So much fun. Yeah, I can't wait to see what's next. Daniel was this the season that we were supposed to not like no, no, no, no we're not getting on. I haven't got any three. That's three or four seasons from now then? Oh, okay. I just double-checking because it didn't make sense to me. I am like we're doing so well on this. So yeah, I was just wanted to double-check that fresh. Leigh I, if you weren't in the room, I would have laughed out loud. I find you keep yourself alive. Laughing now because I need to like to do like a poker face with you because I am like, okay, I don't want to give it away like allowed to enjoy it too. No, no, I can't. I gotta like, give that a poker. I laugh here but the, when we're watching it, I am just like, okay. Oh, you're like that William H Macy character from the movie, The Cooler. I love that movies. He's so good. Yes, really good poker player so. So before Eliza, before you give your rating because I don't want to put on any undue pressure on you. You wouldn't ruin a unicorn if you didn't give this a fresh. So I am just gonna because we got for freshers. Oh my gourd. So This Is This Love that is now you know what, I see him running in the field every single night role, and we didn't say anything. We didn't say anything about when squirrely. Dan came from behind the appropriate? Yes, we didn't say yeah. I know again. He just Port. Yeah, he appeared out of nowhere from. Anyways, remember that, as soon as I, so allies it, this episode is now in the books, as an official fresh. So, whatever, you know, pressure on you, whatever you say here will not affect our rating system. So, what did you give this episode? Well, I actually wrote it down before doing it. I don't think you can see, but I wrote fresh. All right. Yeah, are those all episode notes? Yes. Oh my God, honey, you have got competition. Like thinking, I write big to so, my friend. Awesome, awesome for you, but no totally fresh again. I loved all the music scenes. I appreciated each like individual one. I loved this guy thought the skids were hilarious. I absolutely love this kids in this episode. Yeah, that routine was so much fun. Yeah, uh-huh. And then you know, they get Katie what she wanted. She wanted something. She had never seen before. Yeah. Hey. They the totally delivered on that, okay? So, yeah, not even a nice. Also, think squirrely Dan stole the show. I mean, he literally did at the talent show, but then just overall episode. Yes, he really did. And I can't tell though, if that's an influence, just from the interview from Monday, or if it was, I mean, I am true. It really, was just really bad. He was, he was great. Yeah, totally fresh, totally fresh. I mean, you have heard our listen to our podcast, you know, he's always been our favorite character. So when we set it at the on the during the interview, You're blowing, smoke up his ass. We really think he's a, he's the, the heart of the show, and he's our favorite character. And yeah, yeah him appearing from behind the produce stand out of nowhere. That's I think that's a second time that's happened. Right? And he's done that. It's almost like, it's like a single scene, stage play, where they have to make room make the best of the, of the props from coming somewhere else? Yeah, no, it's fun. Yeah. Okay. So let us get to top fives and again, we Start with me. Let us see. This one's going to make my top 5 and it's probably it's going to knock off. It's going to knock off Bradley's, if a killer. So this is going into my number five position. Victor does this, finally find what, what? Not just wait. What's my number for now? Just wait, you're unbelievable, really? You're number five. Victor is fart book? Yes, that's not what I asked. You're number four is way to a man. Hard. That's last week's episode. Right? Right. Yeah. And then fussa number three is the yeah. Come on, Victor. Do it just f****** do it. I just you know, there's no principle here come on. I know the thing that hurts the most is that it's going to make Matt. Stay and know. And that's really all timidly. What pains this? It's time. Victor. It's time. No, it's not pictured. I will hold true. Shut up. Do it by hand? Great. I would but I can. It's not right, it's just not right. That's the episode that really, that's the episode. The told me there's going to be Brilliance here relationships. Yes. I completely agree. Yeah. Yeah. If this had not this one October 1. Yeah. So we're not going to knock fart book off, but we're going to just we're just going to just put in a basement for a little while. Yeah. Okay. Is this going to be number five then? Or is this going up? It's going to be. This is well Oh this is going to be. I will put this at know we're going to put this at number 20. Number two. Okay sliding everything down one. Alright yeah that makes sense. Okay good. You did the right thing. Victor, you did the right thing but it pushes everything down so far book is off his list now. So just like Wayne said to squirrely, Dan at the beginning of this episode, when he mailed, the put the package back in the mail, you made the right call. Matt. So really quit Eliza. I need you to step in here, like, we're at even. There's four of us. We're 50/50 I am having faith. I am having faith here. What did you think of fart book? Okay, I don't particularly it's not my favorite, you know, it wouldn't make it. Would it make it in your top five? It would not make it wouldn't make it in your top ten. I don't know. I don't come on. Okay, you know what you peer pressure. Thank you. Thank you. You're welcome back. Anytime. Come on. Now, listen. Remember how the skids helped the Hicks in Far book, and we're able to work with them and the computer and the whole setting it up. And then I remember all those summer the episode and remember all those scenes of them pointing their asses, at their computers to record their own farts and sitting there. Scrolling through pages and pages of farts. It's just I understand it wasn't what it was about but it was just off-putting anyway Matt your top five. Do you need me to do? Yeah I had to get that out because now we had it unwi and that it had not even. Yeah, Quorum here. So I had to add this a that are you know what? I am going to throw it on my list. I am going to, I am going to push off my bottom one never work a day in your life, and I am going to put it at number five. Number five. Okay. Dania. Holding true. Are you mad at? No. Because, you know why? You just bite. It has no, it's not. It's not despite now because you know what, I never liked the show. I never liked the show, and I am going to say it, and I know everybody will be upset with me. I like it. Now, I can say that, but I never liked it at the beginning and fart book. I swear was the one that I remember, I remember very clearly, it's the one everyone remembers, but it doesn't have walking into the room. Room and seeing Alan watch the show, and thought you dumb, man, I thought you were smarter than this. What the hell? Are you watching? And I judge this show on that and then finally, when I watched all the shows and I didn't like any single one of them and then fart book happened and it was like the first show that I actually giggled at and I thought, okay, I get it, I get it, it's stupid, but it's funny and that was the reason why I am going to keep it there because it was the first one. That I actually laughed at. And I got and I liked and Victor knows that because he felt the same way. Yeah, you're holding your Virgin episode clothes virgin. I am gonna keep that is my first, and I am going to hold true to it. So I am going to keep far book. I am going to take off a fuss at the back bush. Wow. All right. So you're putting it at your number three or in sliding that one out, and I am putting this one in. Okay. So this one is replacing All right? Liza, you don't have a top five. So I mean you can feel free to say whatever you like. If off the top of your head you want to rhyme off your top five. Favorite Letterkenny episodes, feel free, or just are they on your notepad? They are unicorns definitely Canada. Goose is I think it is. My number one. Oh yeah, I definitely think that is the episode that I keep going back to it. Now that I have seen the whole series multiple times, I have liked I think I have more Once I haven't been reviewed on this podcast, yeah, we're just going to say with Canada appreciates that very good. Okay, great. So let us talk scientific Twitter poll after last week's episode where I ran a scientific Twitter poll which of these words make you most uncomfortable and it's it was surprisingly close. And for a while there veg was actually in the lead, which I was so shy. I don't know Dan that, I mean I know because it's the one That bothers me the most but in the end and predictably, I think moist want one it with 32% but not far behind squirt with 28% and then veg, 24, and yeast, 2016, some nachos yeast. Yeah. Yeah. And yeah. And none of them really bothered me. But I feel like I needed to answer your scientific poll this damp Up the Volume a bit. I didn't really know what to go with court and somebody did write in a vote for the word scrum. I am thinking what the hell? Yeah, that's how I should take offense to that. I think maybe they're a project manager, and they hate their job or something. That's probably why. And, and what do you mean? It's not awesome. She wrote in saying she despised when women prefer men referred to women as females that's ends up all kinds of red flags. So she that's her word I guess, males. Yeah, I have no, I have not heard anyone say that before my eyes. I have never heard anybody be offended by that before, so, That's okay. Yeah, I mean II feel like I use it often, so maybe I shouldn't. I don't know. We will have to. Like, I have heard people use that. And I have heard people use that in a negative tone. So I think it's like a lot of things and how in the context in which you use the phrase, right? So if you're like you're referring to them. They all look at that group of females over there. Like that is a negative tone. Sheree. And I know you don't mean that A group of women over there. Depending on what you Tony uses the same exactly that I used to be in here. Interesting. He used to be in the healthcare field. So I just think of that in terms of male versus female. Yeah the Mbox and the F box like well that's science. So yeah II don't, it's clinical as Wayne would put it. Yes, onto her listener comments. I have got one here from someone named squirrelly. When they do the fight scene, and I am like, well, amazing. Is that why you guys broke so many bottles in? The Goosey and yeah. And he confirmed that. So yeah, hilarious, that is hilarious.
