Back coyotes, right up the back porch. Yeah, the Nikes, your dogs and heat, you know, those f****** yellow-eyed bastards go right through the screen door if they're horny.
It's there's thirsty Thursday, and that means we're once again, hanging out the produce stand a podcast paying tribute to the Great Canadian show. Letterkenny.
Now, I know what you're thinking there are many other podcasts about Letterkenny out there but this one, Is the only one that will end in the Cliffhanger. I am now, your host and joining me in the room. As is always a lovely tan. You and online, we have the Invincible Victor, but no squirrelly Matt this week, you know, Matt should have picked last week to be absent since last week was also the, the episode that didn't have squirrelly Dan like, you know, to kind of mirror the episode. We're having an episode without squirrelly. Matt. Yeah, he's feeling under the weather today. And so he apologized profusely, but he did send me his notes and, but he's left me under man, like he's left me outnumbered with Victor and 10-year today, wha I don't know. Let us see if I will see if I have any support in this episode. So let us start off. Victor, how was your week? Well, my week was all right. We have an extra long, long weekend, starting tomorrow. So that's good. And, you know, usually my week updates, or my weekly updates are quite boring. I don't usually share anything exciting. So I thought I would switch it up this week and just play you a tune because I keep teasing it and then it never happened. Yeah, definitely have a guitar here with me, so I will just play you something. There was a good time your lap. Yeah. Now would you like someThing like bossa nova or maybe more funky, whatever you're feeling right now for it? All right. Very nice. Okay, very nice, we go. Work, like we're snapping fingers here today. All right. Yeah, that sounds very funky. All right. Awesome. Tell you how was your week?
Oh my, so busy, busy, busy. I don't even remember the beginning of it. It was that long ago. And we're only on Thursday. So yeah, tomorrow's Friday looking forward to that coming up into a long weekend, Labor, Day, long weekend so that will be nice.
Are the kids are ready for school Victor? They got another week. So yeah, the week we had probably not. Not only is she starting College this year? Hi, it's her second year. Secondly? Okay. Yeah you know, oh that's right. And William is what grade 12 this is it you know about to round towards home base. It's very nice. Well in our household, the girl is starting grade 2 and the boy is a senior in elementary school. He's in grade 8, she Next week, and he starts the following week. So lots of preparation, never thought that back-to-school shopping would include buying masks. But here we.
Spent over $100 on those masks between the filters and the cloth masks and having enough in order to go the week for both of them and wash. And yeah.
That's a strange. It's a very strange thing. I don't know what the heck's going to happen, what kind of year it's going to be so you know, hope for the best give as much support as possible. Go and get ready for the world to, you know, throw you curveballs every week. Yeah, yeah, 2020 isn't done.
With us. It was just happy my most my happy thing this week was finding a pair of shoes for Owen and a size 13. Man, for $30. That was my proud moment because buying two pairs of men's shoes, one indoor, one outdoor. That was, that was a proud moment for me.
We, we actually have the same problem we When shopping for William, and he's 12 and a half, and they were sold out everywhere emphasize that we couldn't find his size anywhere. Now we are not chopping up and you know North Bay or whatever the heck you guys live but you know, it's in the.
City. I told you, we are in the country.
All right, to Victor anything North of Highway 7 is country. He said, just sit, he's not.
But you got the shoes. Oh yeah.
The whole idea that, you know, everybody keeps on forewarning that covid is going to come back for a second strike, and we're all going to be back indoors. And I am thinking I am going to spend like $100 on a new pair of shoes that he's going to wear for a month, and then we're going to be back home again so.
yeah but finally 13. He's not out growing though. Let us hope. Holy crap. If he don't get into like Shaquille O'Neal territory.
Grows those? Yeah, we're hoping that's it. He's just crashing into everything. Everything he's just. Oh my goodness, everything. Yeah. Yeah.
All right, let us just give a shout out to some new Twitter followers. This week, we have modes mode, Tavis from Ohio. He's a musician, Victor. So hopefully he's listening, and he dug hearing you play guitar. We have PJ Thorn from Parts Unknown and here's an interesting one, we have a CF Zimbabwe. ACF stands for Action control of Fame, which is like it's a fighting hunger, organized organization in Zimbabwe Africa. So they're following this, whatever. That's worth, super cool. Yeah. Fighting hunger for nearly 40 years. Well, done. And thank you so much for the follow listening, all the way from Zimbabwe. And then we have Joe Pearce, listening all the way from St. Louis St. Louis Missouri. I thank you, Joe for, for following and, and for listening congrats on your Blues last year. I can't because of Lisa, I am not even paying attention anymore. Are the Blues in still? The playoffs are here. Now they're out. Who did Dallas eliminate them? I believe it was Vancouver, believe it or not. Yeah, really well. So, you know, apologies Joe. Our team was eliminated too. So we're on the same when the well, but, and your goalie, I think it's your goal, is it? Elliot is Elliot St. Louis goalie. He's a local boy from Newmarket. Here. So, you know we were last year I was cheering him on when you guys won. So well done there. Yeah, Elliot is to be a Saint Louis goalie. But you know oh what was it was either gold last year when they won though? I know I was a rookie Allen. Was it Alan not Jake Allen was the backup. It was a girl named. Yeah it was Bennington writing. Then he yeah he came out of nowhere and saved the team Bay St. Louis was an interesting team. Sure. Because I think in February, they were literally the last team this week. Yeah. I am, and then they called up this kid that nobody knew who the heck he was. And he just he stole the show and got them into the playoffs and got them to understand cop, and he had a terrible year this year. So yeah, but first how Christian is to? Yeah, I think I did the at the first expansion franchise and so the longest expansion franchise not to win a cup. And so they finally won one. I don't know those records for Go by the wayside for me because all I know is that Toronto has and one since what 67? Yeah. All those records pale by comparison, compared to the exact. All right, so and like, as I mentioned, Matt's not feeling well today, so he and for, he's probably in bed right now, sleeping it off. Not to say that. He's at got something sleep off. But anyway, he's getting rest. All right, but he sent him. He sent me his notes. Oh, he will be here by proxy. I am probably going to need a support on this one. So, here we go. Well, pitter patter, let us get out her last week. We reviewed season 1 episode 5, Rave, and that episode received a clearance rating from all four of us. Although I feel like Tangy has and Victor's clearance was more low clearance like on, on its way to the compost. So, and Matt and I were a little more positive on that episode. So today we're reviewing episode 6 of season, one a fuss in the bush. Victor. Did you do your homework? I did. I was a day late as you were the early. So yes, I sent them my reminder a day early because I was hoping the Matt wasn't going to be rushing to watch it before recording like he did before. Yeah. And that totally failed because yesterday I forgot all about it and luckily I did remember today. So I did watch this little more fresh in my head because I don't know if that's a meta thing to say. But yeah, I so I washed it today. Ended William and Linda watch with you. Just a boy, just a boy. All right. So then there was out for a walk doing something, probably healthier. All right, inverse tan, You Dare, I ask, did you watch?
Did you do all my? Also, you messed me up and I thought that the garbage needs to go in on Wednesday because I thought it was Thursday. And.
Yeah, I said, no, my reminder way too early. Oh, well, I am trying to be here sis, all that. There is a try to be proactive in. This is what I get is the net. All right? So We're going to start with the cold open Wayne and airier of and wanes back Bush hunting coyote because Wayne's dog is a neat and a pack of coyotes threatened to take care of business. Dairy says, he's got to take a bumper dumped before they get started, you had a bumper dumper.
It's not polite to talk about. No, I do got a pistol, goddamn Dad. When you have a dump lean up against the back of bumper, your machine will support near like, it sounds on.
You know, I think I did, but.
I can't remember when you have.
Sex with a girl. Yeah, with a girl and over stump of a tree friends said he had sex inside a hollowed-out log one time and I thought, why bet Fred Penner pulled that off one time.
To all right? And there's a Fred Penner joke and just for our American listeners, I just want to the reason that's funny. Fred Penner is a Canadian children's music performer. He had a show on the CBC from like eighty-five to ninety-seven. The show was set in the woods, and he was like, crawl through like a hollowed-out log to get to his little Hideaway in the woods to do is show. I do not remember it all. Remember that. No. Oh man well you didn't watch CCBC on your kid but yeah place.
I don't recall Victor. Where you're going to have to redo the craft Haul on YouTube.
Later. Oh yeah. You should see some of the videos. It's pretty hilarious. Actually, in Fred Penner was recently on the Toronto, Mike podcasts. And still going strong, still playing, Victor can't hear the sound.
So he's still playing two children. Actually, I think our kids are didn't Veronica. Go see him on a school.
So last year, she went to go see him. Play.
Think his big hit is? Oh crap. Let us pick your. Do you know anything about Fred Penner? Okay II. Just know that we overplayed him in our house. A many, many years back, but the cat came back. That's it. The cat came back. Gosh, was his big hit and yeah. So Victor missed that first clip because I forgot to share the my screen and the sound for my screen. So there is a connection because I did play that bog on the log song. Non stop for the kids. They loved it. Yeah, yeah. There's a connection to the Yeah, for sure. So, I was just trying to explain why that was funny to American and other another listeners from other parts because they probably didn't grow up with Fred Penner. He was kind of the Canadian version of Mr. Rogers, I think. All right. So, then Dairy, he's standing on a stump kind of looking over the land, and he notices that someone's growing marijuana on Wayne's property. And that's when we learned that Wayne hasn't smoked the electric lettuce since he was in grade 8, never heard that before. That's a new one. Eric lebas? You have never heard that? Oh, no. Never. So seen one after the music. Back in the kitchen, the Hicks survey, the photographic evidence of the grow-op on Wayne's property. Dairy, as usual is voraciously eating a yogurt. Remember, I.
Time. So yeah, there you go. And He suggests that they call the cops but Katie disagrees.
Don't be such a Sally doing that s***. Needs you and run. You shouldn't need so much doing really the produce and is an f****** chance.
E, we sell this stuff. We can make.
Thousands. I know a guy in the.
Reserve. I don't know why not.
because I am not rich kid. We don't give a.
F*** if the cops come around here. People will talk don't want people talking.
Wayne decides to go with Katie's plan. So seem to we have tennis and the natives, and they're at the skids Hideout, making a deal for.
Cigarettes. You know, the deal personal.
Use only the hear about use turning around and selling them and I will hear about it. I am going to have a hell of a problem.
Here's your smokes Diamond art.
Damodar. Cut to the very next scene where the skids are selling the smokes for a buck a dart. So those doing the math. That's a dime. That's a thousand percent profit on the cigarettes.
Excellent margin. Yeah, good margins.
And so on of the kids, and they're selling to kids if you notice who's in the lineup, it's a bunch of kids likes they don't even look like old enough for high school. So I one of the kids that gets Phone reports the skids to the natives scene 3. The Hicks are on the res meeting with Katie's contact to sell the marijuana. They make a deal to sell the marijuana to the natives for five thousand dollars, the Hicks, accept and dairy notices a picture of tennis on the wall. This.
That Stannis, my daughter should.
Say. It's strange that I suppose, what's so strange about her? I will tell you, if you find yourselves in her way, you ought to swiftly get out of it. So, it would appear Tanis is not someone you want to mess with. Incidentally before we move on, I forgot to mention a note that Matt sent me. He Once Sold a handful of cigarettes too drunk idiots at a party. He threw for five dollars of smoke.
Oh. He took advantage of drunken Operation. This is a judgment free podcast, right?
Guy always run until actually, I can't say what his role is it that our company but it's not sales.
My only non proud moment was, oh, Jesus the fireworks. We, we were very young and went camping and I bought, I don't know. Three boxes of fireworks, and there was like a handful of cherry bombs and, and oh my goodness, I think there was that burning school house or something. And I put a few things together that we're just nothing and I actually shoot a kid awake because he didn't have enough money for, for a little kid. So.
So, yeah, we bought one of those multipack fireworks with all bunch of things, but then they have like the little useless like cherry bombs. So dang his ideas like looks, let us sell.
That. It was like to make some of our money back dollars for one or five dollars for two and the kid wanted to buy 542 but only brought me for, so I shoot him off for an extra dollar and Cent to look at a.
Way to ask Mommy, for another.
Dollar. Yeah, there was a.
That was a yeah, that's a tennis woman right?
And you said this was last year? No, no, this is, we were very young, pre, pre marriage. Early 20s. We're probably the same age as the characters on this show back, then camping up, camping up in the soluble. But yeah, it.
Was flat Allen, had a look of shock on his face.
It was at that moment. I knew shoes, shoes, the one he was just scared. And yeah, so Katie after they make the deal for this for the marijuana, Katie gloats about the deal she set up but Wayne is bothered by the fact that This is Father didn't stand up to shake his hand on the deal. So I retract my previous theory that he's on the Spectrum, I just think he's an old man in a 20-year-old body. I think that's all it is like the stuff he complains about. I can hear my grandfather saying, you know what I mean? Like what, what sort of guy that doesn't stand up to shake a man's hand? Like it's just, I.
Think you're right. I think he liked the fact that he can sit there in the corner and be oblivious that the conversation is past. Yeah. And continue on with His one-liners.
Yeah. So there is not paying attention to Wayne's comment because he's, he's thinking about tannaz he's sweet on tennis and Katie demands that thank you from Wayne. So he thanks her for being a degenerate, the drug dealer. Then Katie punches Wayne in the leg and, but he's not looking like he's purposely looking away, and he warns her. Now if you ever hit me and I find out about it as if she hadn't touched him. There's a kind of little cute brother and sister moment there. Scene. Number four at the rink. The hockey, players are being pushed so hard by Coach Victor. I am sure you enjoyed this scene Jones. He's throwing up in the locker room, Riley, notices, she melts is acting strange kind of scratching at his skin. Passionate.
Nothing. Why are you f***** up right now? Hey, yes, you are. You are mess right now. This is on sewer bro. Got the f*** buddy. We're gonna f****** do it. No one else is going to rise on the wall. Broke it. Give your balls a tuck your toes under right. I am sure.
does stirs at do. Nothing now the f****** rookie. Wow. Do you know Stuart and Devon and all skins but that's it buddy? You know I heard the ginger boots. You see that s***? And look where it got them.
And then the list goes on and.
On. That's right. The hockey players go on to discuss all the other people, they know who are doing who are on drugs, and they're realizing the problem is getting out of hand, so they decide they're going to pay the skids to visit. That was that's a funny scene end. And there you go. The ostrich f****** are back. So are you happy.
About that? Their back, they are back.
See number five outside, the dollar store, the skids are lured behind the building to an awaiting Tanis and Friends.
What is this? This is where I ruin your life. Hang on. No, no. You hang on, right?
Use rip me off, and I am f****** pissed.
We can make this right as one PC is this Market? Maybe it's pretty lucrative. So if you sell the rest of the cigarettes at a buck a dart, we get 90 cents. You get 10.
Yeah. Yeah, no, no. Do you?
You can step on sometimes in any business venture. It's inevitable. We want to take the spec business to the.
Next level. We cannot part with anymore.
Corn. So the skids are ready to take a beating in order to, you know, to save some money. I was a little surprised with that. That means everyone's addressing when they're ready. Ready to fight everyone, just starts to take their shirts off. Well, sometimes he doesn't even take, take his shirt off, Stewart, and Devon prepared to fight the natives, but they can barely get their shirts off. Much to tennis is Amusement, then she drops the hammer.
Is that I think this works you just take a beating, and then we're Square, bunch of.
He's been watching the wrong movies, boys and attention. This isn't just about us anymore. All right, this is about everyone now, your friends, your families, until we get paid, they all suffer. Hmm let us go ahead. Got news.
But the burning of Letterkenny begin.
Very ominous said, it's gone. All Godfather here in Letterkenny. Let us see. See number 6 back at the farm to Hicks, are building a new produce stand. I guess they're anticipating the money. They're going to make from the marijuana sale. Katie brings the boys, some refreshments and squirrely, Dan pulls.
His patented what? I appreciate about your line and Wayne warns him to go easy. And that's when squirrely. Damn, lays it all on the line.
I said her, I regret nothing.
You have to paint the scene all.
Knowing you'd stepped on his lap too far to run.
I didn't know still going. Yeah, you have to paint the scene on that. There is this fat man running for it think Wayne's going to just pound them.
And when just standing there looking bewildered, what the hell screw lead and doing So here's a note format, too fat to run, welcome back, squirrely Dan, I cried, laughing during this scene. As he ran off into the field. Yes. Funny seeing welcome back swirlied and I think I even 10 years smiled or at least chuckled a bit when.
Absolutely. Absolutely. That was a, that was a golden moment there.
After rewind because I couldn't, I didn't couldn't make it out what he actually said. And then he started running away and I had to rewind it and listen to it again, sisters hot there, I said it, I regret. Nothing. I love it. I love it.
All right, let us see next lie. They didn't have to take more than two takes for that. I know, right for him for four decades, Trevor Wilson, next scenes, Jose Jones in Riley, or at this kids hideout with nylon stocking masks. As if anyone in town wouldn't know who the f*** they are. It's the intention of trashing their meth lab. But when they get there, the labs already been trashed, which kind of disappoints them so instead they go off looking for the skids to beat them up. On these massive his place.
Bro. Looking long hair. Don't care.
Bro. We find the skids, and we have that f****** Donnybrook buddy, buckets off. I can rip over there and just conflict fight. Injured, kill the ball up, bang out, but sliced on bus. Stop down the scrap.
That. Ugh, nasty truculence.
Kibble, Smackdown, far, spat Schism. We are at this level.
Oh man, note format Jonesy and Shore Z. I think he means. Riley are legends. Favorite characters, Jen and I always laugh at their doctors sus tongue-twisting talk. This episode proved again, why it's actually fun to watch with subtitles on. Did you end go ahead? I was going to say the one line where they say, truculent sexy. They're referring to Brian Burke cause that's what he always likes to say. Yes.
I thought you'd get a kick out of that. So yeah. A little nice little collar to lie fans, and from the Brian Burke era. Yeah, scene. Number eight. Back at the farm. It's nighttime and whining. Katie run out of their house to find the new produce stand up in flames and very, very dramatic scene the next day. Wayne and dairy are out surveying, what's left of the burnt produce. Stand and Tennis is father's there to pick up the marijuana plants? He fills the Hicks in on what may have happened. Sorry about what happened here? No, but the beef what? Beef, tune your meth Pals in my daughter, two things. One, no one. Who does math as a pal of mine for f*****?
Sake, too? What are you talking.
About? She was ripped off on a cigarette transaction by some fellows from Letterkenny, and then she's owed money by someone from your town. She's going to make it everyone's problem. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Hope this serves some sort of consolation. Count it if you like. She won't stop till she gets.
Old. Tennis comes back to collect, she won't be.
Short-staffed. Us neither.
So yeah. So there are anticipating some retribution from tennis, and so they're going to have to get some reinforcements. See number nine behind the dollar store. The skids walk around back and are confronted by the hockey players who are ready to kick their asses for turning, Letterkenny into meth town, just as they're about to have a Donnybrook, they're interrupted by Tanis and the natives and there's a three-way standoff.
Power stop. Tennis, we got dibs on the Donnybrook with the.
Skids. So dibs is a div, the div, hey, pipe down, s*******. You don't get it, do you? This is about the money. So until we get the money, Letterkenny will continue to burn. All right. Oh no.
Tennis turns to leave, but standing there is Wayne and the Hicks. How are you now.
Deadly. That's a very, very intense. Look when gears when he says deadly Wayne is brought back up along with dairy and squirrely Dan. He's also joined by joint boy and two others. That finally make 10 has stopped in her.
The ginger and Boots. There're two guys f***** an ostrich because the ginger f***** an ostrich allegedly.
It takes like two people to f*** an ostrich three.
Your f****** ruthlessly a couple of dudes likes that here. In his.
Defense, he's usually not the type of brick. I am. They f***** an ostrich. What else have they f*****? Just the ginger f***** an ostrich.
Actually, I asked again if they f***** eyes change, what else? Have they f*****?
It's almost not worth thinking about.
I am telling you, it gets in your head and you have to like, you just you pause and you go now. How would that work? It's like when you see like a really, really tiny woman with a giant man and you just.
Moment, just kind of stop and pause and go. Now, how would that work it? The ostrich thing just kind of gets in your head and then messes with.
It. Victor has his Stretch background on them. So Tanya we finally meet Ginger and Boots.
Well, did we, though? Cuz like really thought they're standing behind people, we can't really get a good look at their face and even in the additional seeds following after that. Yeah, that's like I do we don't really see or here or there.
Was the they play an important role in what happens next? Yeah, flash squirrely. Dan is So funny in this episode like in this scene, especially to, I feel like the last like five episodes of this season have led.
Up to the word allegedly, like three times. How is that like, no, that will not a squarely. What else does he say? That's the only thing he says in the whole that whole.
Clip. Allegedly says more. He says more than in the next clip. All right. What did you think? When you saw when you finally saw a red and Boots Victor No I wasn't as disappointed as I. I finally you know you get to put a face to a name so that's good. It was interesting because they it's like they had a magnetic field around them but nobody actually it's rather than a track they were repelling anything that came near them. So is it for that was pretty smart Munna? Bhai I shall superpower. Yeah, it was pretty smart move by Wayne to get them to come and help them. For sure. He's nothing but I can t think Wayne knew that. That's their Our or that they were tough. I think either way he they needed some backup because of the natives are going to be a, you know, a tough group to handle and but I think it didn't hurt that. Yeah, none of.
Us wants to touch them. Yeah, exactly.
So yeah, it was 10 has led to Wayne say his piece.
Okay? Speak use got ripped off.
It's too bad that happened and it's none of my business till it was my business. — now we could beat the f*** out of his right here and mark my words one day we will get you. But that doesn't solve our problem here. Dairy.
Daryl just some my friends call me sometime. We got to put the damage you do around Letterkenny to bed. That's 5K. What he has sold more than?
We're going to call it 5K is that we're going to do we are you going to take it and leave Letterkenny and if he has come back for so much has to pump your gas? When he gives a warning, you don't repeat it, we will get you a.
Deal. He's fighting an ostrich f*****.
So squirrelly bands, a little like blow up. There is the.
The funniest thing is they even.
Say, I don't know what he says but well, it's just funny how he reacts. Just, just so if flies off the handle he just like it's a side of him. We never we have never seen before. Just like he's like so great, it the size wrong. Yeah, yeah. And yeah, beats fighting with an ostrich. Is so yeah, it was a it was the right thing to do to bring red and boots to the fight. So let us see here. Tennis goes to walk away after making the deal, but not before turning back to the skids for one final demoralizing word, I got to know.
This is going to sting a little bit, right? I mean you're short, you're ugly, you're incompetent your f****** Baroque Hockaday, your f****** addict. You're hopeless. Yeah. I mean you are such a tragedy that even all these people here, who hate you will bail you out. Just so they can.
You. My cousin was born with fetal, alcohol syndrome. And he works at an f****** bank. What's your f****** excuse battle, dude? Hey, I am not talking to you. Bloodshot, eyes, runny nose, f****** greasy hair, scabs everywhere. What is that? What's that right there? You see that. Is that come dried? Come on your f****** zipper. Oh, you are pointless. I bet the second you popped out your mom was she had a song up Snapper? Probably would have been better if you go to the sickly size inside her womb and killed the both of you before you f****** rolled out and started f****** up b****. What I will tell you it's got a sting a little bit, f****** get after it, then.
Katie kicks tennis in the box and insights the mob to fight? Little note here from Matt. How uncomfortable is tennis is Attack on Stewart, just brutal, but love the way the look, The Town loyalty that followed. So, yeah, that was a brutal scene I had to, I had to clip the whole thing because there's no way to describe just how brutal that was.
Yeah, she really. Yeah, that.
Was, it was like, I like the way I mean, I don't did. You feel sorry for Stewart like yeah.
Yeah. She he she but at the same time, I was like one of those again moments where you hope that he was listening and took it to the heart. Yeah. To heart to, to propel himself into bettering himself once.
More. Well, I mean at the beginning, you know, even Jonesy and Riley are kind of Ring with her and cheering her on. But then it just takes a turn to the point where even Wayne is like, tan has stopped. Like, yeah, yeah, you're taking it too far. Would you think Victor? Yeah, you know, same thing, right? I mean, this is the same guy that two episodes ago, you know, be been kind of staging himself to be the villain and doing quite well at it and turning everybody into an attic and now he was really taken down and yeah, you can't help but feel sorry for him just because it's so brutal. What she's saying? And ya Jonesy. Yeah, he definitely toned it down and then eventually just that Altar, and then they all turned on her. So and, you know, they did a really great job between that very uncomfortable scene and melee that follows. She was obviously the most comical part of the episode because, well, I don't know. I think actually the scene With, with between the tennis and Wayne were the most comical leading up to that. But yeah, the fight was pretty comical. The fight was, yeah, I mean, yeah, I mean, yeah, we can kind of pull hairs on, you know what's funnier, but the fight scene, the choreography, all the little things that happened, all the golden nuggets that for sure. So followed, so I wrote down all hell, breaks loose. And at first, it's not a parent who's fighting who but there's a hilarious scene where one of the skids ends up between red and It's and looks terrified to be there. Yeah. Oh man. I nearly fell off my chair when that happens, but then it becomes apparent that it's Letterkenny versus the natives joint. Boy lights a joint between throwing punches. I have three skids team up on one native, which seems about even the hockey, players are even fighting the natives, although no one comes close to read and brutes. They're kind of just standing there that they look like, they're disappointed. No one's, like, coming up to them to.
Fight. They look like they were like the, the, like, the, the security watching the fight? Yeah, but not, I actually step in.
So and then during the melee a million, whatever the fight during the fight, you see the money falling to the ground, Wayne picks it up and then picks tennis up gives her the money in escrow as escorts her away? So, even though they ended up fighting, he's still giving her the money because he knows that fight or not. They're the only thing that's going to stop her from, you know, her wrath on Letterkenny is to give her the money.
Yeah, but she going to leave it at that. She just got kicked in the.
Box while, but she got kicked in a box, but he picked up the money and gave it to her. And, so I think that kind of evens it out because they could have just taken it back. Yeah, so I think. Yeah. So Wayne thinks that it's about the money and antenna says, is much right at the beginning of the whole confrontation. She says it's about the money. It's you can take a beating right now, but we're still going to come back for the money. So, so yeah.
Wait how Was it that it was going to be more than 5 K.
Yeah, I don't know about that math. Doesn't add up. I mean, I don't know how many cigarettes they stole.
Cigarettes were in that bag and cents a dollar. A bat em. Like no, no. No. All.
Right. But anyway, so next scene. Nope. What they, they, they, they must have known when they were selling those cigarettes that they're going to totally scam them. I mean that has to have, you know, because who can smoke that many signals for sure? I think it was probably a way of 10 is to enlist. Just the skids to work for the natives. Right? Because then in the end the deal she makes for them is you get to keep 10 cents or keep ninety cents? Well, that's what they paid for the cigarettes to begin with was 10 cents a piece. So. Yeah, back, yeah. So next scene, at Mo Dean's, the Hicks, the hockey players and the skids — boots and read. By the way, are all sitting. There were there. No, they weren't there not that I saw. No, they weren't there, unless they were in the back or whatever, but not at the table sitting at the same table battered. And bruised and bloody, and bonding over the.
Fight. Well who'da, thunk it. F*** is a top-tier sucker, Riley, YouTube Jonesy.
Thanks boys sake. You guys in your sleep still makes my top, three suckers boys and a one box shot. You f****** Barbarian.
Lady. Did you stop and smoke? A joint for a bit? And then jump right back in there. Nectar God's palace.
Gail, brings them. A bottle of Gus imbrue on the house to share. Group celebrates a triumphant moment, passing the bottle around, but then the hockey players, refused to pass the bottle to the skids. So Katie takes, it takes a shot, and then passes it to Stewart, and Devon Stewart, looks around timidly before taking a shot, but no one objects. So I think at that moment he kind of felt, you know, part of the.
Group. So go back where it's though because Wayne said he wanted nothing to do, and they were not friends of his and now they're sharing a.
Drink will be Just because they just fought together. That changes are none of this was planned, right? I mean, this was just, it's interesting. So, I think back to that scene, where they're out in front of the burnt down produce stand. And so, I mean, there's probably no answer to this because only the writer would know. But when, when Wayne and dairy her learned from tanis's father, that this is all over, like a dispute between the skids. And, and the natives, do you think when way Splashes that board, and he says f****** skids, and he walks away. Do you think at that point there he already knew he put He had to do was give the money to the natives? Hmm I think so. You think so probably or was he just passed that the skids at that point? And you know like it's an interesting like it doesn't mean anything either way but it's interesting to think that maybe at that point he already knew. I just got five grand from this guy, and I am going to have to Fork it. I am gonna have to Fork. It over just to save the skids. Oh I am to save Letterkenny. Not just he's not doing it for them. He's doing it for the town. Yeah I.
Don't think he would have come to that conclusion already. He just learned about why what the reason was I think it was just that he was pissed and.
Smack report. There's a separation between the money and like, so he's getting the money to save Letterkenny. She is fighting to because of the because they were insulting store, right? I think that's the separation there, right? The money and the fight are two separate things. Yeah. So I think that's why he picked up the money and gave it anyway afterwards. Yeah, yeah. So I think there's a, it shows another part of his character like, Matt would say he's the protector and even people, he doesn't necessarily like, but because they're from Letterkenny, and they grew up together. He's going to defend them against Outsiders. Absolutely yeah, yeah.
He's a stand-up man, that one.
That's right and so after this whole celebration Wayne He has the last word, you know, I gotta.
Say. I am looking forward to a little bit of peace and quiet around. Here we are. Here ain't no reason to get excited, am I right?
That's a nice little call back to episode one. That was called a no reason to get excited but then just as Wayne finishes saying that Tyson played by Jay Burton walks into Mo.
Dean's. All right. What the f*** is the toughest guy in here?
All heads turned to Wayne who stands up and says, that'd be me. So the music starts up again and Wayne walks up behind Bodines, turns around and gets knocked out by one. Punch Fade to Black roll credits and that's how the season finale and.
This a new character we're going to learn.
About. Yeah, I think it's safe to say that we do. We do see more of what did I call him? What's his name? Jake. Listen I think we called him Tyson? His name's Tyson. And then I wondered how do you know his name? Aside from just skipping ahead? No, yeah, so I knew his name because I looked it up on the Letterkenny, Wiki got it. But also he does, he comes back. It's hilarious. Because what? Wait, till you see when he comes back it anyway? But so at the end of this episode, somebody actually manages to knock Wayne out and that's your Cliffhanger and then there's just the post-credits scene. I am wondering vicar. Did you watch it? The version I was watching did not have a post-credits scene, so I kind of felt that probably there was, but I missed out on it. I feel like after this season there's no more post-credit scenes. I think the post-credit scenes were just four seasons a season. One thing I could be wrong and I know that at some point along the way they stopped doing them and I feel like season one was kind of it, but so there was a post credit scene in this one and it's just Devon and Stewart, and they're hanging out in Devon. For some reason, reciting lines of Shakespeare and stewards getting annoyed with the dialogue, you know, like why is this person saying it this Y, and they sing it this way? Why don't they say what? They mean, blahblahblah and Devon's just like, you know, just reciting the lines and saying, well, it's because it's poetic and it's whatever he's defending it. And then, in the end Stewart compliments, Devon on his acting and Devon has for a hug and Stewart turns him down. And that's how the scene.
Ends they were. So that like Epic, Major there was like a post or something or pull that was burnt by the looks of it that was standing up in the corner, and they poke at it and it moves, and then they run like they did something wrong or something. It was.
Quite comical. Yeah, it's funny. But yeah. I feel like because it was centered around the skids, Victor would have hated it. Not necessarily, I mean, I didn't really hate anything too much, about the skip this episode. So wow. Wow. We're maybe Victor's melting.
We're being worn down. Yeah.
We really are. Oh come on guys. All right so let us talk at like okay final kind of impressions of the of this episode and no ratings are anything yet just kind of give me your overall impression. Go ahead ten you want you.
Start overall impression this it was so K. Okay I am going to say maybe Be good.
Maybe good. All right, anything in particular.
Like no, it was just again, the character building at had some good funny moments there. It had some, it had a good balance between comedy and an actual story line to it, which? Yeah, I appreciate. I.
Appreciate. All right. Victor. What did you think? I thought it was the most complete episode of the Season. It was watchable from the very beginning to the end at no point. Was I questioning life choices in terms of kind of getting into this show? I kind of felt I felt engaged in the episode all the way from beginning to end and I think that's a good thing. Okay, well I mean I agree with both View by agree more with Victor. I think I thought this was a great episode. Well I mean it was it had it like you said I have had everything it had the comedic moments like really funny moments. It had some really dramatic moments. I thought like where some State, there were some steaks, some high stakes there, which I think kind of made the funny moments like an amplified those moments even more it. Had it basically had every main character in it except for pastor Glenn.
Interestingly, that's okay. That's okay. Yeah. Yeah by all means we don't. Yeah.
And McMurray but I wouldn't call McMurray main character yet but yeah. I guess of the main groups you had. You had the Hicks and the skids and the hockey players represented and I loved it. Like I thought, you know, it showed how the small town bands together, even when they don't maybe get along, individually or internally when faced with an external threat they're there, they get together, and they take care of business so that was pretty good. Let us see. And the only note I have here from Matt is overall epic episode. So let us start with ratings. Will go with tenure first, would you give this a fresh clearance or compost?
Sorry long, pause parents. It's, it's really, it's really up. There it is. Oh okay. See if there was like a level.
Between can, I remind you? You gave fart book a fresh just, just, you know, I am not trying to convince you either way but so that's your bar right.
Now. I again, I am being worn down now. Oh man. I feel like, I feel like I am understanding it a bit more, and I am getting it a little bit. And I am laughing a little bit more. This one, there wasn't anything that really upset me I it did I like the storyline? Okay I am gonna go for I am gonna give it a.
Fresh. Wow. Matt's not even hear the witnesses. Hold on. Hold on though. Victor that was a little bit like going to the dentist and having a clearance or compost. Well, I won't keep you on the edge of your seat like 10. Yeah, that was an easy hard fresh really. Yeah. Wow, that's awesome. And easy hard fresh, so crisp. It's crisp. It's like, it's Chris. Yeah. It's on the still, some green on it still. Like it's not right. It's like I know how much you love green peppers don't even have to check the expiry date on that sucker. That's, that's great. I won't keep you in suspense of mad trading. He said, fresh rating with, with an exclamation mark. So, Absolutely gave it a fresh and guess what? And damn it, he warned me. I needed a sound effect for this and I don't have one, but yes, of course, it's a fresh like, this is a great episode. It has everything. It has drama. It has liked it has, it has Stakes. It has.
It at it does funny. It covers it.
All. It's got heart, it really has heart and, and, and it's quarter lead and I mean squirrelly tannins in. So right away, that should give like a plus-one just.
Tim running in the field and just trying to try his best to stand up to wait. There you go.
Awesome. I think, when you get four fresh ratings, you what? I think that equals a harvest.
Well, here we go. We will just use this for now. Wondrous. That's what it gets a wondrous. Alright. So let us get to our top five ratings and Tanya. So far you have at number one fart book. Number two, super soft birthday. Number three ain't no reason to get excited number for Rave and number five wingmen. Wayne. I feel like at least one of these is going to get knocked off today. Where would you put a fuss in the back?
Push Also see purple rock was, it feels like it was so long ago and I don't really remember it as well as now this episode I am going to say this one, this one's number one. Yeah, we will go to the top and then everything else will fall under that. Wow.
That's awesome. Okay, Victor, where would you rate a? Let me give you a ratings out. So, at number 1, you have fired book. Number two, super soft birthday. Number three ain't no reason to get excited. Number four, Rave. And number five wingman Wayne. Where would you rate? A fuss in the back Bush. Yeah, so this is really great because we finally get to knock wingman off the list, and we never have to talk about again, so, so that's great. So we will put this one at the very top just like Tanya and it's going to push everything down by one. Wow, and get that Wing. It's got Lisa's got wings and can fly. So it's not going to fall to its death, all right? And before I give my rating, I am going to let just let you all know that Matt. Moves this one to number one, also on his list easily mess. So at that knocks fart book off of his list. Finally, I think he will be very happy if to learn about that. So three number ones. Let us see, my list, Supersoft birthday. No reason to get excited Rave wingman, Wayne and fart book. I mean, I am happy to see fart book, go. I am yeah, it's got to be, I guess it's number one, it's got to be number one. Because it's the most like, like Victory. You said it is the most complete episodes. It's got everything in it so far, that makes this show really good. So yes, number one for me as well. So for.
Straight number one, really need to get a sound bite for that, then I know just all like, wow, that was, I know, we're 44, is there like a harvest moon salt?
Yeah. How about something like the like this is a lot of (Kenny), right? So maybe this would be it. They.
Give your balls at uh cute, it f******. I mean.
It's very apropos for this job. Brilliant. Let us see. So great. Let us just go to some lizard comments from.
No you need to play the other one. Was number three. Number three. Yeah there. Yeah. All four of us thinks you owe me a.
Coke Jinx. You owe me a coke? All four of us? Yes. Yes we all know. That's right. Yeah. Because Also a number one, at the same time. You're right. That was a good idea. Yeah, I am just going to move over to lizard comments for a second. We have a few from Twitter, our buddy Jason Cutler. He says, that this podcast is sticky, I give it the big eyes. So I think that's, that's a good thing. Thank you, Jason for, for continuing to listen.
It's like saying the word moist. It's just a little sticky. And.
Moist appropriate for Letterkenny. Yes, absolutely appropriate for Letterkenny. This one here in response to Matt's in depth in opossum research from last week. Yeah, my doberman and Bloodhound made one pass out one time. One as in possum I guess pass out in our yard just by barking at it. We thought it was dead, so we carried it off to the woods when we went back to it I guess the next day the sucker was gone so that was from Sherry Ann Gray's just sharing an Awesome story of her own, thank you. Sherry Ann for listening and then Joshua Burly from Pennsylvania. Said, enjoy the show. So far makes me want to do homework. Now, to Joshua, by all means, follow along with us and hey, maybe one day we will have you on to as a guest panelist. If, if you want to talk about, you know, let us know what your favorite episode is, and we will have you on So yeah, I mean, final thoughts on the season finale or yeah, the season finale for season 110, you have, we changed your mind. I know you joke that we're wearing you down, but is it that we're wearing you down, or you just understand it more, like, your understanding the appeal of the show more, I am .
Understanding it. Yeah, okay, I am understanding a little bit more. Your you are wearing me down every day. You come out with another Letterkenny reference. Making coffee. You will say something or the kids you will turn. And look at me and say something.
What was it today? I am at this level and I got to be at this level you even said something.
because Veronica. Our daughter was running around without a shirt on and.
oh yeah, not as like time to Ronica put some clothes on and in the back of my head, I could hear Katie saying not my forte and it just shattered me. Like I don't want to thank of my six year old daughter in that way.
Oh dear, yeah, it's big. Coming life-altering at this point and yeah again you're wearing me down so now but I do find myself and all. Joking, aside looking forward to the.
Homework. Mmm. All right. Get in there that's progress and there. Victor final thoughts? Yeah, I think, you know, I am actually looking forward to seasoning 2, just because how well it ended and it actually ended on a pretty good Cliffhanger. So you kind of want to find out. What happened, I am hoping it's one of those things where they answer that they continue with that as opposed to pretend that never happened. So we will see. But yeah, you know, looking forward to the next season. I am glad. You know, it's only six episodes so far, right? So yeah, when you consider that the sample size is so small, it's kind of easy to be more forgiving and when I kind of eliminate the worst episode, I think that it's a pretty good show and yeah, just looking for A word to see what happens next. So let us talk about that Cliffhanger for a second because to me, the weakest part of this episode is the Cliffhanger. I found it. I felt it was kind of lazy because it was like this great story that they told. And in the end I mean they could have just ended at that. Oh no, no, they won't let me finish, so they could have just ended it at them around the table, taking shots and Stewart you know, feeling part of the group, but it's like, oh s***. It's a season for now. We have to end on a cliffhanger. What are we going to do? Somebody's got to come in and knock Wayne out. Like I felt like it was kind of like tacked on at the end and you know what I mean? Like I don't know.
That's how they started this whole thing. The first, the first episode was who it is when going to start fighting again, who's he going to fight and knocking a person for the first time in a while? And, and I don't know. It's just fitting that he went looking for fights. And here's the fight that came look. For him and ended up knocking, come on us. As.
I felt it was totally appropriated. It did the Full Circle and it didn't, it didn't make it about the Cliffhangers. So I kind of I appreciated that where I appreciate that about it because you know it didn't linger that's where I like the bow but it's you know it's the episode was good. It was complete and it had they ended it without a cliffhanger, then I would have had Questions. I would have thought just sitting around the table. Sure. Is there even a need for a season 2? Its kind of, you know, they kind of wrapped it up. Let us try something. Let us go to another small town somewhere, but I mean, I feel like the Cliffhanger could have maybe been more involved with the actual story that was happening. Then it, I am it's funny right now because what's happening right now is I am criticizing the show and the two of you were defending it. How my where's Matt, Right? But.
I me opening up another beer at by now.
I don't know out because I think typically when you look at shows, right, you want to start each season with a whole new set of storylines and had they drawn out anything that happened in this episode into the Cliffhanger, then you don't all of a sudden, put a, you don't close it and I think that this was a way to do it. Well, I mean, it's a small point and again like the whole I love the Posada mean it's my number one so far whatever. It's just to me, like, I felt like it was just tacked on at the end. Like those like triumphant moment, everyone's having a great time and then suddenly somebody or what are we going to do for a cliffhanger? Oh, let us have somebody walk into the bar challenge way into a fight and.
They closed it the way they opened it. They, it was just what was it when they were at the table and, and he, I can't recall. Now what his words were. Exactly. But again, who's looking forward to some old back, he's a quiet. It called Go back to the first episode. Oh yeah, it's a callback.
Gets called back. It's a love letter. Whatever you want to call it, it made sense and it worked. Did you hear that? Matt, I got Victor intended to defend the.
Awesome. All right. So next week, and we're not going to do a recap of the first episode next week in. But what we're going to do is, were actually going to have a guest on next week. It's worth the watch and maybe we can discuss it next episodes. I will send you guys a link for that. W5 is a Canadian news magazine show, and they do like a whole 20 minutes on Letterkenny what makes it great and on they focus on Jared his upbringing but it go to have is it gonna have?
Spoilers? Is it gonna be?
Yeah, no, no. I watched it, it doesn't. It doesn't spoil too much of what's coming up, so I think I will be fine but it talks about Jared and it talks about tear Jacob journey to his co-writer. It's really good. So I will send you guys a link, and then we can maybe talk about that in the next episode. So I am good. Okay. Alright from all of us at the produce stand. Have a good night.
